Abstract Effective antibody responses are essential to generate protective humoral immunity. Different inflammatory signals polarize T cells towards appropriate effector phenotypes during an infection or immunization. Th1 and Th2 cells have been associated with the polarization of humoral responses. However, T follicular helper cells (Tfh) have a unique ability to access the B cell follicle and support the germinal center (GC) responses by providing B cell help. We investigated the specialization of Tfh cells induced under type-1 and type-2 conditions. We first studied homogenous Tfh cell populations generated by adoptively transferred TCR-transgenic T cells in mice immunized with type-1 and type-2 adjuvants. Using a machine learning approach, we established a gene expression signature that discriminates Tfh cells polarized towards type-1 and type-2 response, defined as Tfh1 and Tfh2 cells. The distinct signatures of Tfh1 and Tfh2 cells were validated against datasets of Tfh cells induced following lymphocytic choriomeningitis virus (LCMV) or helminth infection. We generated single-cell and spatial transcriptomics datasets to dissect the heterogeneity of Tfh cells and their localization under the two immunizing conditions. Besides a distinct specialization of GC Tfh cells under the two immunizations and in different regions of the lymph nodes, we found a population of Gzmk+ Tfh cells specific for type-1 conditions. In human individuals, we could equally identify CMV-specific Tfh cells that expressed Gzmk. Our results show that Tfh cells acquire a specialized function under distinct types of immune responses and with particular properties within the B cell follicle and the GC.

Resumo Objetivo Verificar e correlacionar a resiliência e o significado do trabalho em enfermeiros hospitalares no contexto da pandemia de COVID-19. Método Estudo descritivo e correlacional, realizado entre junho e novembro de 2021, com 164 enfermeiros de dois hospitais de São Paulo com os instrumentos a Escala de Resiliência Connor-Davidson e o Inventário do Significado do trabalho. Os dados foram analisados por meio da estatística descritiva e inferencial sendo adotados os seguintes testes: Teste de correlação de Pearson; Teste de Kruskal-Wallis; Teste t de Student; Teste de Dunn; Teste de correlação de Spearman; Análise de Variância Univariada; Teste de normalidade de Shapiro-Wilk; Teste de Levene. O valor de significância estatística adotado foi de 5% (p ≤ 0,05). Resultados Média de idade 37,54 anos (DP = 8,52), sendo 81,1% (133) do sexo feminino, média da resiliência 76,98 (DP=11,32). Correlações significativas positivas foram encontradas entre: escolaridade, idade e a resiliência com os atributos “Fonte de realização e independência econômica”, “Expressão de respeito e de acolhimento”, “Fonte de desafio, responsabilidade e sustento”, “Desafiar-se”, “Crescer economicamente”, “Sentir prazer e proteção”, “Contribuir socialmente e ser assistido” e “Ser reconhecido”; Conclusão Houve correlação da resiliência com o significado do trabalho, colaborando com o enfrentamento das adversidades encontradas na pandemia de COVID-19.

This study aimed to analyze the association between engagement and the quality-of-life program of the nursing team. This was an exploratory, cross-sectional study, and 334 workers from the nursing team of a private hospital in the city of São Paulo participated. The following instruments were used: Worker Characterization Questionnaire, Work Engagement Scale, Workers' Perception of the quality-of-life program, and Score Sheet for Participation in the quality-of-life program. The global score of engagement at work presented an average of 4.62 points (SD=0.98 points), the highest level was observed in the dimension Dedication (average=4.93 points; SD=1.04 points), and the lowest in the Focus dimension (mean=4.33; SD=1.06). As for the quality-of-life program, it was possible to verify the adhesion of 152 nursing workers (45.5%). Regarding the perception of the institution's quality-of-life program, 83.92% have a positive perception. As for the circumstances that hinder participation, 52.95% are related to intrinsic factors of the worker, lack of time, difficulty in reconciling responsibilities outside the institution, simultaneous employment, and personal availability. This study group expressed a positive perception of the quality-of-life program, even identifying it as a stimulus for self-care and disease prevention, which are pillars for maintaining good health at work, and participants understand that it is a provided benefit in relation to other institutions, showing high levels of engagement with work.

IntroductionAtrial fibrillation is associated with hyperthyroidism. Within the euthyroid range, it is also associated with high thyroxine (fT4), but not with thyrotropin (TSH). We aim to describe differences in thyroid regulation, measured by the Parametric Thyroid Feedback Quantile-Based Index (PTFQI), between patients with atrial fibrillation and the general population.Materials and methodsThyroid parameters (PTFQI, TSH, and fT4) of a sample of 84 euthyroid subjects with atrial fibrillation (cases) were compared to a reference sample of euthyroid healthcare patients (controls). We calculated age and sex adjusted ORs for atrial fibrillation across tertiles of these parameters. Abstract More than one‐third of people with epilepsy develop drug‐resistant epilepsy (DRE). Different hypotheses have been proposed to explain the origin of DRE. Accumulating evidence suggests the contribution of neuroinflammation, modifications in the integrity of the blood‐brain barrier (BBB), and altered immune responses in the pathophysiology of DRE. The inflammatory response is mainly due to the increase of cytokines and related molecules; these molecules have neuromodulatory effects that contribute to hyperexcitability in neural networks that cause seizure generation. Some patients with DRE display the presence of autoantibodies in the serum and mainly cerebrospinal fluid. These patients are refractory to the different treatments with standard antiseizure medications (ASMs), and they could be responding well to immunomodulatory therapies. This observation emphasizes that the etiopathogenesis of DRE is involved with immunology responses and associated long‐term events and chronic inflammation processes. Furthermore, multiple studies have shown that functional polymorphisms as risk factors are involved in inflammation processes. Several relevant polymorphisms could be considered risk factors involved in inflammation‐related DRE such as receptor for advanced glycation end products (RAGE) and interleukin 1β (IL‐1β). All these evidences sustained the hypothesis that the chronic inflammation process is associated with the DRE. However, the effect of the chronic inflammation process should be investigated in further clinical studies to promote the development of novel therapeutics useful in treatment of DRE.

Abstract Background Excitotoxicity is a central pathological pathway in many neurological diseases with blood–brain barrier (BBB) dysfunction. Kainate, an exogenous excitotoxin, induces epilepsy and BBB damage in animal models, but the direct effect of kainate on brain endothelial cells has not been studied in detail. Our aim was to examine the direct effects of kainate on cultured cells of the BBB and to test three anti-inflammatory and antioxidant drugs used in clinical practice, simvastatin, edaravone and dexamethasone, to protect against kainate-induced changes. Methods Primary rat brain endothelial cell, pericyte and astroglia cultures were used to study cell viability by impedance measurement. BBB permeability was measured on a model made from the co-culture of the three cell types. The production of nitrogen monoxide and reactive oxygen species was followed by fluorescent probes. The mRNA expression of kainate receptors and nitric oxide synthases were studied by PCR. Results Kainate damaged brain endothelial cells and made the immunostaining of junctional proteins claudin-5 and zonula occludens-1 discontinuous at the cell border indicating the opening of the barrier. The permeability of the BBB model for marker molecules fluorescein and albumin and the production of nitric oxide in brain endothelial cells were increased by kainate. Simvastatin, edaravone and dexamethasone protected against the reduced cell viability, increased permeability and the morphological changes in cellular junctions caused by kainate. Dexamethasone attenuated the elevated nitric oxide production and decreased the inducible nitric oxide synthase (NOS2/iNOS) mRNA expression increased by kainate treatment. Conclusion Kainate directly damaged cultured brain endothelial cells. Simvastatin, edaravone and dexamethasone protected the BBB model against kainate-induced changes. Our results confirmed the potential clinical usefulness of these drugs to attenuate BBB damage.

Objetivo: relacionar a satisfação profissional da equipe de enfermagem e o clima organizacional em um Hospital Universitário. Método: estudo transversal, quantitativo. A lista de verificação EQUATOR usada para relatar o estudo é SQUIRE 2.0. A amostra foi composta por 226 trabalhadores de enfermagem de um hospital universitário da zona oeste da cidade de São Paulo, Brasil. Foram aplicados o Questionário de Caracterização Sociodemográfica e Profissional, a Escala de Clima Organizacional para Organizações de Saúde (ECOOS) e o Questionário de Satisfação no Trabalho (S20 / S23). Resultados: a relação entre satisfação no trabalho e clima organizacional é complexa e está associada à experiência de cada indivíduo. Quanto maior o escore de Clima Organizacional, maior o escore de Satisfação no Trabalho. Conclusão: há correlação entre satisfação no trabalho e clima organizacional; foi verificado através dos instrumentos aplicados que existem várias dimensões e subdimensões associadas a esta relação. Conclusión: existe una correlación entre la satisfacción laboral y el clima organizacional; se verificó a través de los instrumentos aplicados que existen varias dimensiones y subdimensiones asociadas a esta relación.

Background: A first-dose of various vaccines provides acceptable protection against infections by SARS-CoV-2 and evolution to the most severe forms of COVID-19. The recombinant adenovirus (rAd)-based vaccine, Gam-COVID-Vac (Sputnik V), was proven efficacious but information about effectiveness in the real-world setting is lacking. The aim of our study was to investigate the association between the rollout of the first component (rAd26) of Gam-COVID-Vac and PCR-positive tests, hospitalisations and deaths. Methods: We conducted a retrospective cohort study which analyzed individuals aged 60-79 who self-registered in the online vaccination system of the Province of Buenos Aires, Argentina, from December 29, 2020 to March 21, 2021. Exclusion criteria were having a previous positive RT-PCR or antigen tests for SARS-CoV-2, having received other vaccines, or two doses of any vaccine.Proportions of new laboratory-confirmed SARS-CoV-2 infections, hospitalisations and deaths until 83 days of vaccination were compared between vaccinated and unvaccinated subjects. Vaccine effectiveness for the three outcomes was calculated as (1–OR) × 100. Kaplan-Meier cumulative incidence curves were constructed. Findings: During the study period 415995 registered subjects received the first component of Gam-COVID-Vac; 40387 belonged to the 60-79 age group, and were compared to 38978 unvaccinated. Vaccine effectiveness for preventing laboratory-confirmed infections was 78•6% [CI95% 74·8 - 81·7]; and for reducing hospitalizations and deaths was, respectively, 87·6% [CI95% 80·3 - 92·2] and 84·8% [CI95% 75·0 - 90·7]. Effectiveness was high across all subgroups. Interpretation: Similarly to other vaccines, the administration of one dose of Gam-COVID-Vac was effective for a wide range of COVID-19–related outcomes. La dignidad del enfermo en situación terminal debe ser apreciada, por su condición de ser humano, ostentando la correspondiente dignidad por el hecho de “ser”, de su existencia. Es conocido que las situaciones terminales cambian las condiciones en las que se encuentra el paciente, pero no es lícito pretender que las circunstancias afecten su dignidad intrínseca, de la misma manera que no puede pretenderse que por encontrarse en una situación terminal no tenga derecho a la vida. Las circunstancias adversas pueden estar presentes en la vida del ser humano, pero siempre será un fin y nunca un medio, en cuyo marco la dignidad del paciente terminal debe ser respetada, debiendo asegurarse las condiciones necesarias de cómo serán brindadas las atenciones correspondientes hasta el final de su vida, más no direccionar acciones tendentes a cuándo poner término a su vida.

Abstract Objective: To investigate the level and factors related to resilience in nursing workers in the hospital context. Method: A cross-sectional study conducted with nursing workers of a university hospital in the city of São Paulo. Data were collected through a questionnaire containing sociodemographic and labor variables and the Resilience Scale. Results: It was found that 45.3% of the 375 nursing workers investigated had a moderately low/moderate level of resilience, followed by a moderately high/high level (39.5%), and then a low level of resilience (15.2%). Age, working time in the institution, and working time in the profession showed a statistically significant correlation with resilience. The model showed that there is an increase of 0.289 points on the Resilience Scale for each year of age, regardless of the other variables. Conclusion: The resilience level of nursing workers is moderate to high. Age was determinant in resilience, as well as working time in the profession and institution.

Green turtles are megaherbivores with a key role in the dynamics of tropical seagrass meadows, but little is known about their relevance as herbivores in tropical reef habitats. We conducted underwater censuses of green turtles, herbivorous fishes and sea urchins in two distinct tropical regions: Fernando de Noronha (Western Atlantic Ocean) and the Hawaiian Archipelago (Central Pacific Ocean), to assess the contribution of green turtles to the total herbivore biomass in shallow reef habitats of tropical oceanic islands. Juvenile green turtles ranging 40-60 cm were observed at most of the surveyed sites, and hence, could be considered typical components of the shallow reef fauna of tropical oceanic islands. Furthermore, they were usually one of the most abundant species of roving herbivores in many of the sites surveyed. However, the biomass of green turtles was usually much lower than the aggregated biomass of fishes or sea urchins, which usually constituted most of the total herbivore biomass. Green turtles made a major contribution to the total herbivore biomass only in sheltered sites with low rugosity, low coral cover and high algal cover. Further investigation on the trophic redundancy between herbivores is required to assess the actual relevance of green turtles in reef ecosystems of oceanic islands, compared to herbivorous fishes and sea urchins, because different herbivores may target different algal resources and complementarity may be needed to maintain ecosystem functioning across large, naturally varied reefscapes.

Many affected counties have had experienced a shortage of personal protective equipment (PPE) during the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) pandemic. We aimed to investigate the needs of healthcare professionals and the technical difficulties faced by them during the initial outbreak. A cross-sectional web-based survey was conducted among the healthcare workforce in the most populous cities from three Latin American countries in April 2020. In total, 1,082 participants were included. Of these, 534 (49.4%), 263 (24.3%), and 114 (10.5%) were physicians, nurses, and other professionals, respectively. At least 70% of participants reported a lack of PPE. The most common shortages were shortages in gown coverall suits (643, 59.4%), N95 masks (600, 55.5%), and face shields (569, 52.6%). A pecuária de leite é uma atividade importante no Brasil e no Espírito Santo, sendo as pequenas propriedades responsáveis por 80% da produção estadual. Mesmo com essa importância econômica para o estado, dados a respeito da qualidade do leite produzido e das condições higiênico-sanitárias de produção, ainda são escassos. Objetivou-se avaliar a qualidade do leite produzido em unidades de produção familiares, no sul do Espírito Santo, para verificar o atendimento aos padrões legais. Foram realizadas três coletas em 29 tanques comunitários totalizando 87 amostras. Realizaram-se análises de contagem padrão em placa (CPP), contagem de bactérias psicrotróficas (CBP), contagem de células somáticas (CCS), acidez titulável, densidade, gordura, extrato seco total (EST), extrato seco desengordurado (ESD), pesquisa de resíduos de antibióticos (β-lactâmicos e tetraciclina) e presença de cádmio e chumbo. Das 87 amostras, 66% apresentaram valores fora do padrão para CPP e 38% para CCS. Quanto às análises físico-químicas, 85% das amostras apresentaram resultados fora do padrão para ESD, 10,3% para densidade e 2,3% para acidez titulável. Todas as amostras atenderam a legislação quanto a presença de resíduos de antibióticos, teores de cádmio e chumbo. Dessa forma, esses resultados indicam falhas em uma ou mais etapas da cadeia de obtenção e armazenamento do leite cru. Abstract Background Tetrapods do not express hydrolases for cellulose and hemicellulose assimilation, and hence, the independent acquisition of herbivory required the establishment of new endosymbiotic relationships between tetrapods and microbes. Green turtles (Chelonia mydas) are one of the three groups of marine tetrapods with an herbivorous diet and which acquire it after several years consuming pelagic animals. We characterized the microbiota present in the feces and rectum of 24 young wild and captive green turtles from the coastal waters of Brazil, with curved carapace length ranging from 31.1 to 64.7 cm, to test the hypotheses that (1) the ontogenetic dietary shift after settlement is followed by a gradual change in the composition and diversity of the gut microbiome, (2) differences exist between the composition and diversity of the gut microbiome of green turtles from tropical and subtropical regions, and (3) the consumption of omnivorous diets modifies the gut microbiota of green turtles. Results A genomic library of 2,186,596 valid bacterial 16S rRNA reads was obtained and these sequences were grouped into 6321 different operational taxonomic units (at 97% sequence homology cutoff). The results indicated that most of the juvenile green turtles less than 45 cm of curved carapace length exhibited a fecal microbiota co-dominated by representatives of the phyla Bacteroidetes and Firmicutes and high levels of Clostridiaceae, Prophyromonas, Ruminococaceae, and Lachnospiraceae within the latter phylum. Furthermore, this was the only microbiota profile found in wild green turtles > 45 cm CCL and in most of the captive green turtles of any size feeding on a macroalgae/fish mixed diet. Nevertheless, microbial diversity increased with turtle size and was higher in turtles from tropical than from subtropical regions. Conclusions These results indicate that juvenile green turtles from the coastal waters of Brazil had the same general microbiota, regardless of body size and origin, and suggest a fast acquisition of a polysaccharide fermenting gut microbiota by juvenile green turtles after settlement into coastal habitats.

Objetivo: verificar a associação da resiliência com a capacidade para o trabalho em trabalhadores de enfermagem. Método: estudo transversal realizado com 375 trabalhadores de enfermagem de um hospital universitário, na cidade de São Paulo, Brasil, por meio de três instrumentos autoaplicáveis: um para caracterização sociodemográfica e profissional, a Escala de Resiliência e o Índice de Capacidade para o Trabalho. Os dados foram analisados por meio de regressão linear múltipla. O projeto foi aprovado por Comitê de Ética em Pesquisa da instituição. Resultados: Entre os trabalhadores participantes, 15,2% apresentaram baixa resiliência e 30,4% mostraram capacidade para o trabalho comprometida. El presente artículo tiene como objetivo demostrar que el material jurídico ortodoxo es apenas uno de los elementos que influencian el comportamiento judicial, y no necesariamente el más importante, sobre todo en casos emblemáticos. El trabajo presenta tres modelos principales de comportamiento judicial: el modelo legalista, el modelo ideológico y el modelo estratégico. Se profundiza en el modelo estratégico, abordando sus características principales y las críticas que se le han formulado. Propone un estudio de caso acerca de las decisiones dictadas por el Supremo Tribunal Federal de Brasil, a la luz de este último modelo. Se concluye en el sentido que los factores extrajurídicos también interfieren en el proceso decisorio de las cortes. Por ello, el Derecho no puede prescindir de un entendimiento adecuado sobre cómo las cortes efectivamente deciden en la vida real.

ABSTRACT OBJECTIVE To identify the workloads present in the work activities of community health agents (CHAs) and the resulting strain processes. METHOD A descriptive, exploratory, cross-sectional and quantitative study conducted with 137 CHAs. Data were collected through a questionnaire and interview guided by the health surveillance software called SIMOSTE (Health Monitoring System of Nursing Workers), following the ethical codes of the current law. RESULTS In total, were identified 140 workloads involved in 122 strain processes, represented by the occurrence of health problems of the CHAs. The mechanical (55.00%) and biological (16.43%) loads stood out. The most common strain processes were the external causes of morbidity and mortality (62.31%) and diseases of the musculoskeletal system and connective tissue (10.66%). CONCLUSION From the identified overloads, it became evident that all workloads are present in the work process of CHAs, highlighting the mechanical load, represented mainly by external causes of morbidity and mortality that are related to occupational accidents.

The secondary presentation of pollen consists of a foral mechanism where the presentation of pollen occurs in other foral structures in addition to the anther, in order to increase the precision of the dispersion of the pollen by the vectors. This study aims to describe the temporal dynamics of secondary pollen presentation, and morphological and morphometric characteristics in stages of pre- anthesis and anthesis in genotypes of fve natural Heliconia psittacorum populations. For the study of foral morphometry traits of length of the fower, stamen, stigma and height of flament insertion in the petal in bud and fower were measured. The foral morphology of pre-anthesis buds and fowers in anthesis, the presence or absence of characteristics such as herkogamy, region of flament insertion in the petal, region of stylar hairs, and of secondary pollen deposition were evaluated. Treatments of controlled pollinations, self-pollination, geitonogamy, cross-pollination, natural pollination and growth to pollen tube were sampled. Floral herkogamy and pollen transfer to the adhered hairs in the stylar region were clearly observed during anthesis, constituting the frst record of occurrence of secondary pollen presentation in Heliconiaceae. Pollen tube growth was inhibited in the stigmatic, style and basal regions of the pistil. Natural fruiting produced little or no fruit. The positioning of the stamens above the stigma, pollen viability and stigma receptivity during anthesis of H. psittacorum fowers may favor self-pollination. The stylar hairs observed in all H. psittacorum populations’ help in the retention of pollen grains. The low fruiting rate in controlled and natural pollinations suggest that the main propagation form of H. psittacorum in the study areas is based on asexual reproduction.

RESUMO Objetivo Compreender a percepção de gerentes de enfermagem sobre a relação entre a saúde dos trabalhadores de enfermagem e a segurança dos pacientes. Método Trata-se de uma pesquisa qualitativa, com abordagem da fenomenologia social de Alfred Schütz, realizada por meio de entrevistas individuais, com nove gerentes de enfermagem de cinco hospitais universitários distribuídos no Brasil. Resultados A percepção dos gerentes de enfermagem sobre a relação entre a saúde dos trabalhadores de enfermagem e a segurança dos pacientes foi evidenciada nas categorias: “O sofrimento para equilibrar a saúde dos trabalhadores e a segurança dos pacientes” e “Intervenções no cotidiano de trabalho”. Conclusão A vivência dos gerentes evidenciou um cotidiano de trabalho marcado por sofrimento e preocupação, devido aos altos índices de absenteísmo e presenteísmo decorrentes do adoecimento e incapacidade dos trabalhadores, e à necessidade de garantir a segurança dos pacientes por meio de uma assistência de enfermagem qualificada.

The present study aimed to identify and analyze the scientific publications on health and nursing worker health generated by members of the Study Group on Occupational Health of Nursing and Health Personnel (GESTES). Descriptive-exploratory, documentary study of quantitative approach of data related to scientific publications of 1997 and 2016. In 20 years, 343 publications were generated. Analysis showed a predominance of publications by doctors (146; 42, 57%), followed by masters (105; 30, 61%) and graduate students (62; 18, 08%), most of them “abstracts and extended abstracts published in annals” (172; 50.15%), followed by articles published in scientific journals (74; 21, 57%). The theme “Exposure to workloads and/or work wear Process” prevailed, demonstrating the risks to worker health. It is concluded that the research group identified a significant volume of scientific publications on the referred theme during the study period.

Objetivo: analisar os acidentes de trabalho ocorridos com agentes comunitários de saúde (ACS) do município de Caraguatatuba/SP/Brasil. Método: pesquisa descritiva, transversal, com abordagem quantitativa. Após anuência do Comitê de Ética e Pesquisa da Universidade Guarulhos (Parecer nº 723/11), os dados foram coletados com 137 ACS, em 2012, por meio de questionário e entrevista. Resultados: constatou-se que 59(43,07%) ACS sofreram 80 acidentes de trabalho, sendo os mais frequentes: traumatismo do ciclista (ACS) em acidente de transporte, mordedura provocada por cão e quedas; 64(80%) dos acidentes foram típicos, 13(16,25%) de trajeto e 3(3,75%) doença do trabalho. Apenas 31(38,75%) acidentes foram notificados por meio da Comunicação de Acidentes de Trabalho e 16(20%) ocasionaram afastamento dos ACS das atividades laborais. Conclusão: os resultados alertam para a importância da promoção de medidas preventivas e interventivas no exercício do trabalho do ACS. ABSTRACT Objective: to analyze occurrence of occupational accidents in community health agents (CHAs) in the municipality of Caraguatatuba, São Paulo, Brazil. Method: in this quantitative, descriptive, cross-sectional study, approved by the Research Ethics Committee of Guarulhos University (No. 723/11), data were collected from 137 CHAs, in 2012, using a questionnaire and interview. Results: 59(43.07%) CHAs were found to have had 80 occupational accidents, the most frequent being CHA cyclist injured in traffic accident, by dog bite or by fall; 64(80.00%) were typical to the profession, 13(16.25%) were travel accidents and 3(3.75%) were occupational disease. Only 31(38.75%) of the accidents were reported by Occupational Accident Notification, and 16(20.00%) entailed absence from work. Conclusion: these results alert to the importance of promoting preventive and intervention measures in CHA working conditions. RESUMEN Objetivo: analizar los accidentes de trabajo ocurridos con agentes comunitarios de salud (ACS) del municipio de Caraguatatuba/SP/Brasil. Método: estudio descriptivo, transversal, con enfoque cuantitativo. Después de la aprobación del Comité de Ética en Investigación de la Universidad de Guarulhos (Dictamen Nº 723/11), los datos fueron colectados junto a 137 ACS, en 2012, por medio de cuestionario y entrevista. Resultados: se encontró que 59(43,07%) ACS sufrieron 80 accidentes de trabajo, siendo los más frecuentes: traumatismo de ciclista (ACS) en accidente de transporte, mordedura provocada por perro y caídas; 64(80,00%) de los accidentes fueron típicos, 13(16,25%) de desplazamiento y 3(3,75%) enfermedad del trabajo. Apenas 31(38,75%) de los accidentes fueron notificados por medio de la Declaración de Accidentes de Trabajo y 16(20,00%) necesitaron de licencia de las actividades laborales. Conclusión: los resultados alertan sobre la importancia de la promoción de medidas preventivas e interventoras en el ejercicio de la labor del ACS.

Objetivo: analisar a temática das produções do Grupo de Estudos Sobre a Saúde do Trabalhador de Enfermagem e Saúde (GESTES), no período de 1997 a 2014. Método: trata-se de um estudo documental, descritivo, com abordagem quantitativa. A coleta dos dados e análise documental ocorreu no primeiro semestre de 2015, a partir das informações contidas no currículo lates dos pesquisadores do grupo. Resultados: foram identificados 261 trabalhos científicos publicados sobre a saúde do trabalhador no período. Das publicações, a temática Exposições às cargas de trabalho e/ou processo de desgaste no trabalho foi predominante, seguida de Implicações para o trabalhador e trabalho, Gerenciamento e propostas de intervenção para a saúde do trabalhador e Vigilância à saúde do trabalhador. Conclusão: a análise das temáticas estudadas aponta para as lacunas que devem nortear a construção de novos estudos. ABSTRACT Objective: to examine topics of scientific production by the Study Group on Occupational Health of Nursing and Health Personnel, from 1997 to 2014. Method: this was a quantitative and descriptive documentary study. Data collecton and document analysis, in the first half of 2015, was based on information from the Lates résumés of the group’s researchers. Results: 261 scientific publications on workers’ health were identified in that time period. The predominant theme in those publications was “exposure to overwork and/or job strain”, followed by “implications for worker and job”, “workers’ health management and proposals for intervention” and “workers’ health surveillance”. Conclusion: study of the research topics points to gaps that should guide the construction of new studies. RESUMEN Objetivo: analizar el tema de las producciones del Grupo de Estudos Sobre a Saúde do Trabalhador de Enfermagem e Saúde (GESTES), de 1997 a 2014. Método: es un estudio documental y descriptivo con enfoque cuantitativo. La recolección de datos y el análisis de documentos se produjeron en la primera mitad de 2015, teniendo en cuenta la información contenida en el currículo Lates de los investigadores del grupo. Resultados: se han identificado 261 trabajos científicos publicados sobre la salud de los trabajadores en ese período. Entre las publicaciones, la temática ‘Exposiciones a las cargas de trabajo y/o proceso de desgaste en el trabajo’ fue predominante, seguida de ‘Implicaciones para el trabajador y el trabajo’, ‘Gerenciamiento y propuestas de intervención y de políticas para la salud del trabajador y Vigilancia a la salud del trabajador’. Conclusión: el análisis de las temáticas estudiadas apunta hacia brechas que deben llevar a la construcción de nuevos estudios.

Objective: To verify and correlate resilience and meaning of work in hospital nurses during the COVID-19 pandemic. Method: This is a descriptive and correlational study, carried out between June and November 2021, with 164 nurses from two hospitals in São Paulo using the Connor-Davidson Resilience Scale and the Inventário do Significado do Trabalho (Meaning of Work Inventory). The data were analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistics, Pearson's correlation test, Kruskal-Wallis test, Student's t test, Dunn's test, Spearman's correlation test, Univariate Analysis of Variance, Shapiro-Wilk normality test, Levene's test. The statistical significance value adopted was 5% (p ≤ 0.05). Results: Mean age 37.54 years (SD = 8.52), with 81.1% (133) female and mean resilience of 76.98 (SD = 11.32). Significant positive correlations were found between education, age and resilience with the attributes "Source of achievement and economic independence", "Expression of respect and acceptance", "Source of challenge, responsibility and livelihood", "Challenging", "Economic growth", "Feeling pleasure and protection", "Contributing socially and be assisted" and "Being recognized"; Conclusion: There was a correlation between resilience and the meaning of work, helping to face the adversities encountered in the COVID-19 pandemic.
