Abstract

The article focuses on the decreasing graduation rate of the indigenous students in Canada because of the structural oppressions they were experiencing. It discusses the effecting structural oppressions including poverty, racism, and gender violence faced by the Canadian indigenous students. Also includes a self-determination framework as a solution for structural oppressions aiding in indigenous education.
