Colloidal and nanoparticle self-assembly enables the creation of ordered structures with a variety of electronic and photonic functionalities. The outcomes of the self-assembly processes used to synthesize such structures, however, strongly depend on the uniformity of the individual nanoparticles. Here, we explore the simplest form of particle size dispersity—bidispersity—and its impact on the self-assembly process. We investigate the robustness of self-assembling bcc-type crystals via isotropic interaction potentials in binary systems with increasingly disparate particle sizes by determining their terminal size ratio—the most extreme size ratio at which a mixed binary bcc crystal forms. Our findings show that two-well pair potentials produce bcc crystals that are more robust with respect to particle size ratio than one-well pair potentials. This suggests that an improved self-assembly process is accomplished with a second attractive length scale encoded in the particle–particle interaction, which stabilizes the second-nearest neighbor shell. In addition, we document qualitative differences in the process of ordering and disordering: in bidisperse systems of particles interacting via one-well potentials, we observe a breakdown of order prior to demixing, while in systems interacting via two-well potentials, demixing occurs first and bcc continues to form in parts of the droplet down to low size ratios. Order picking in warehouses is a labour- and time-intensive logistical process that significantly impacts the efficiency of supply chains. Although technical progress facilitates the automation of specific order picking tasks, human workers remain the primary actors of order picking. Owing to high operating costs associated with manual order picking, its design and management have been increasingly researched for decades. Because manual order picking systems are socio-technical systems, human factors and workers' interaction with technology are essential for operational success. As innovative technologies become increasingly utilised, such as augmented reality or exoskeletons, warehouse managers need to consider the effects of supportive and substitutive technologies on operational outcomes. However, the potentials and obstacles of using technologies in manual order picking require further investigations. Therefore, this study analyses literature content on supportive and substitutive technologies in manual warehouse order picking and investigates the existing state of research in this field. Text mining is employed to enhance the insights regarding the content analysis. Additionally, future research opportunities on the integration of supportive and substitutive technologies are proposed for manual order picking improvement and development of sustainable and human-centered logistics systems, according to the Industry 5.0 vision. Additive manufacturing (AM) introduces a set of technology-specific problems, such as the proper orientation of parts or the placement of several heterogeneous parts in the same build cycle, which are not addressed by traditional approaches to production planning and scheduling. Although these new production subproblems have been implicitly addressed by several works according to generic nesting and scheduling concepts, a literature review revealed that there is no uniformity in identifying and, thus, solving all these subproblems. For this reason, and as a result of an in-depth analysis of the existent literature on AM production planning and an analogy with classic cutting and packing typologies, the present paper offers a framework to formalise the production planning problem in AM at the operational level. This framework can be used as a reference to focus on and address these AM-related problems for efficient production planning. It is designed at the subproblem level and centres on production order processing in AM. A coding strategy is specifically developed for the framework, which is applied to a review of relevant works that propose models for the production planning of AM systems. Picker to parts order picking (OP) systems are one of the most labour-intensive warehouse operations, accounting for 55% of warehouse expenses in the e-commerce industry. For this reason, the e-commerce industry has invested in fully automated and robotised warehouses. However, these warehouse solutions are very expensive. Furthermore, with the advent of Industry 5.0 with a human-centric focus, the OP system's automation should be designed and implemented in ways to improve the working conditions of the order pickers rather than replacing them completely. A pick and transport robot (PTR) is a solution for OP systems which is compatible with Industry 5.0. An example of such a solution is Grab™ by SOLWR. Previous studies have barely investigated the human factor effects of using PTRs in OP systems while optimising the performance of the systems. This research develops a mathematical model to optimise the performance of a picker to parts OP system using PTRs in terms of productivity, quality, and the well-being of the order pickers. The developed model is tested by using data from a case company. The results of this study support managerial decisions by achieving a better knowledge of how to set up such PTR solutions. Robotisation is increasing in warehouse operations, but human employment continues to be relevant. Traditionally manual activities, such as order picking, are being re-designed into collaborative human–robot tasks. This trend exemplifies the transition towards a human-centric Industry 5.0, focusing on synergy instead of seeking human replacement. However, human workers are increasingly hard to recruit and retain. We contribute to the underrepresented literature on human factors within the domain of operations and production management research and investigate the deployment of robotic technologies alongside human workers in a sustainable way. With a unique real-effort experiment, we investigate how the manipulation of picker's experienced levels of autonomy affects their job satisfaction and core self-evaluations, two key behavioural outcomes that determine employee turnover intentions. We establish that the introduction of human–robot collaboration positively affects job satisfaction for the contrasting collaboration dynamics of (i) gaining control (the human leading the robot) and (ii) ceding control (the human following the robot). This positive effect is larger when the human is following the robot. We additionally find that following the robot positively affects pickers' self-esteem and that self-efficacy related to human–robot interaction benefits from the introduction of collaborative robotics, regardless of the setup dynamics. Order picking is the process of retrieving ordered products from storage locations in warehouses. In picker-to-parts order picking systems, two or more customer orders may be grouped and assigned to a single picker. Then routing decisions regarding the visiting sequence of items during a picking tour must be made. Won and Olafsson (2005) found that solving the integrated problem of batching and routing enables warehouse managers to organize order picking operations more efficiently compared with solving the two problems separately and sequentially. We therefore investigate the mathematical programming formulation of this integrated problem. We present several improved formulations of the problem based on the findings of Valle, Beasley, and Salles da Cunha (2017), that can significantly improve computational results. More specifically, we reconstruct the connectivity constraints and generate new cutting planes in our branch-and-cut framework. We also discuss some problem properties by studying the structure of a graphical representation of the warehouse, and we present two types of additional constraints. We also consider the no-reversal case of this problem. We present efficient formulations by building different auxiliary graphs. Warehouse operations have been significantly improved because of the rapid advancement of cyber-physical system technologies, preparing for Work-of-the-Future. The challenge, however, is how to design a collaborative system to deliver optimal performance by multiple agents who are highly distributed but interconnected and operate with technologies that provide massive amounts of real-time data. To address the challenge, in this article, the Cyber Collaborative Protocol for Dual-Cycle Task in Future Warehouse is developed to minimise total operation cost and time. The problem is addressed in two phases; the Global and Local phases. The global phase has higher computational power, maintaining a mathematical model, while the local phase has limited computational power and time, utilising heuristics to deliver the outcome. Computer experiments are utilised for validating the designed protocol compared with other alternatives. The results show that, in all given scenarios, the newly designed protocol outperforms alternatives with statistical significance. The original contribution of this research is the design and control of Cyber Collaborative Warehouse operations with a new focus on collaborative multi-agent interactions. In addition, a major implication is that future warehouses can benefit competitively by operating with Task Administration Protocols such as the new Cyber Collaborative Protocol for Dual-Cycle Task in Future Warehouse. An unsupervised computational protocol is proposed with the aim of obtaining accurate structures of large molecules in the gas phase at the cost of standard density functional theory (DFT) computations. The whole workflow is fully automated and provides optimized equilibrium geometries and ground state rotational constants to be directly compared with experiments. The results for a panel of molecules of biological or medicinal interest show that the accuracy of the results delivered by the new tool at the cost of a single DFT geometry optimization is close to that delivered by state-of-the-art composite wavefunction methods for small semi-rigid molecules. Participants in open collaboration communities coproduce knowledge despite minimal explicit communication to coordinate the efforts. Studying how participants coordinate around the knowledge artifact and its impacts are critical for understanding the open knowledge production model. This study builds on the theory of stigmergy, wherein actions performed by a participant leave traces on a knowledge artifact and stimulate succeeding actions. We find that stigmergy involves two intertwined processes: collective modification and collective excitation. We propose a new measure of stigmergy based on the spatial and temporal clustering of contributions. By analyzing thousands of Wikipedia articles, we find that the degree of stigmergy is positively associated with community members' participation and the quality of the knowledge produced. This study contributes to the understanding of open collaboration by characterizing the spatial-temporal clustering of contributions and providing new insights into the relationship between stigmergy and knowledge production outcomes. Considering the increasing competition among manufacturers and the diversification of customer orders, it is important to use the optimal production system. Hybrid manufacturing systems have proven to be a viable solution to achieve a satisfactory level of customization while maintaining adequate production volumes. This article determines the optimal strategy for decision makers in order to choose the appropriate method of supplying customers’ orders. In this article, a hybrid MTS-MTO production system has been studied in two different scenarios. For this purpose, a mixed-integer linear bi-objective model with product substitution and replaceable materials has been developed and solved by a Lagrangian Relaxation algorithm. The findings of this study reveal that enabling product substitution by manufacturers leads to an increase in the number of accepted orders, along with resulting in a higher average level of customer dissatisfaction. The system prioritizes the fulfillment of orders from permissive customers. In the eighteenth century, the sciences and their applications adopted a new attitude based on quantification and, increasingly, on a notion of precision. Within this process, instruments played a significant role. However, while new devices such as the micrometer, telescope, and pendulum clock embodied a formerly unknown potential of precision, this could only be realized by defining a set of practices regulating their application and control. The paper picks up the case of pendulum clocks used in eighteenth-century observatories in order to show the process of learning in the course of which the pendulum clock first became a precision instrument. By examining the results of an especially developed statistical analysis, conducted to compare the performance of eighteenth-century clocks, it highlights the diversity of conditions, attitudes, and manners of handling that are characteristic for the epoch. In this way, it underlines the necessity of standardization of timekeeping practices rather than exclusively focusing on the technological development of clocks. Optimizing order-picking systems (OPSs) while considering human factors and integrating key decisions is a major challenge for warehouse managers. This study presents a two-stage framework based on multi-attribute decision-making (MADM) and multi-objective decision-making (MODM) models to integrate decisions on picker selection, order batching, batch assignment, picker routing, and scheduling. In the first stage, the human factors affecting picker selection are considered as the problem's criteria and the available pickers are treated as alternatives. The fuzzy entropy method and fuzzy COmplex PRoportional ASsessment (COPRAS) are used to weight the factors and rank the pickers, respectively. In the second stage, a three-objective mathematical model is formulated to minimize makespan and the operating costs of picking while maximizing the total scores of the selected pickers. The improved augmented epsilon constraint method (AUGMECON2) and the non-dominated sorting genetic algorithm II (NSGA-II) are applied to solve the proposed model. The performance of the two methods is tested on well-known benchmark instances and a real-world case study. The NSGA-II algorithm can generate optimal results using only about 6.58% of the CPU time required by AUGMECON2 to solve the problem. Our computational experiments show that increasing the number of pickers from 2 to 8 and doubling their capacity reduces the makespan by 2.61% and 2.74%, respectively. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Distributional estimates in Bayesian approaches in structure learning have advantages compared to the ones performing point estimates when handling epistemic uncertainty. Differentiable methods for Bayesian structure learning have been developed to enhance the scalability of the inference process and are achieving optimistic outcomes. However, in the differentiable continuous setting, constraining the acyclicity of learned graphs emerges as another challenge. Various works utilize post-hoc penalization scores to impose this constraint which cannot assure acyclicity. The topological ordering of the variables is one type of prior knowledge that contains valuable information about the acyclicity of a directed graph. In this work, we propose a framework to guarantee the acyclicity of inferred graphs by integrating the information from the topological ordering into the inference process. Our integration framework does not interfere with the differentiable inference process while being able to strictly assure the acyclicity of learned graphs and reduce the inference complexity. Our extensive empirical experiments on both synthetic and real data have demonstrated the effectiveness of our approach with preferable results compared to related Bayesian approaches. Purpose: This research investigates how to optimize storage location assignment to decrease the order picking time and the waiting time of orders in the staging area of low-temperature logistics centers, with the goal of reducing food loss caused by temperature abuse. Design/methodology/approach: The authors applied ABC clustering to the products in a simulated database of historical orders modeled after the actual order pattern of a large cold logistics company; then, the authors mined the association rules and calculated the sales volume correlation indices of the ordered products. Finally, the authors generated three different simulated order databases to compare order picking time and waiting time of orders in the staging area under eight different storage location assignment strategies. Findings: All the eight proposed storage location assignment strategies significantly improve the order picking time (by up to 8%) and the waiting time of orders in the staging area (by up to 22%) compared with random placement. Research limitations/implications: The results of this research are based on a case study and simulated data, which implies that, if the best performing strategies are applied to different environments, the extent of the improvements may vary. Additionally, the authors only considered specific settings in terms of order picker routing, zoning and batching: other settings may lead to different results. Practical implications: A storage location assignment strategy that adopts dispersion and takes into consideration ABC clustering and shipping frequency provides the best performance in minimizing order picker's travel distance, order picking time, and waiting time of orders in the staging area. Other strategies may be a better fit if the company's objectives differ. Originality/value: Previous research on optimal storage location assignment rarely considered item association rules based on sales volume correlation. This study combines such rules with several storage planning strategies, ABC clustering, and two warehouse layouts; then, it evaluates their performance compared to the random placement, to find which one minimizes the order picking time and the order waiting time in the staging area, with a 30-min time limit to preserve the integrity of the cold chain. Order picking under these conditions was rarely studied before, because they may be irrelevant when dealing with temperature-insensitive items but become critical in cold warehouses to prevent temperature abuse. It is known that artificial intelligence algorithms are based on calculations performed using various mathematical operations. In order for these calculation processes to be carried out correctly, some types of data cannot be fed directly into the algorithms. In other words, numerical data should be input to these algorithms, but not all data in datasets collected for artificial intelligence algorithms are always numerical. These data may not be quantitative but may be important for the study under consideration. That is, these data cannot be thrown away. In such a case, it is necessary to transfer categorical data to numeric type. In this research work, 14 encoding methods of transforming of categorical data were considered. At the same time, conclusions are given about the general conditions of using these methods. During the research, categorical data in the dataset that were collected in order to assess whether it is possible to give credit to customers will be transformed based on 14 methods. After applying each encoding method, experimental tests are conducted based on the classification algorithm, and they are evaluated. This study describes our thorough experience of formal modeling and exhaustive verification of concurrent systems, particularly mutual exclusion algorithms. The experience focuses on Lycklama and Hadzilacos's (LH) mutual exclusion algorithm. LH rests on the reduced size of the shared state, contains a mechanism that tries to enforce an FCFS order to processes entering their critical section, and embodies Burns and Lamport's (BL) mutual exclusion algorithm. The modeling methodology is based on timed automata and the model checker of the popular Uppaal toolbox. The effectiveness of the modeling and analysis approach is first demonstrated by studying the BL's solution and retrieving all its properties, including, in general, its unbounded overtaking, which is the non-limited number of by-passes a process can suffer before accessing its critical section. Then, the LH algorithm is investigated in depth by showing it fulfills all the mutual exclusion properties when it operates with atomic memory. However, as this study demonstrates, LH is not free of deadlocks when used with non-atomic memory. Finally, a state-of-the-art mutual exclusion solution is proposed, which relies on a stripped-down LH version for processes, which is used as the arbitration unit in a tournament tree (TT) organization. Emerging research on the etiology of violent radical political behavior has begun to explore the role of empathy in shaping an individual's beliefs, attitudes, and intentions that culminate in radicalization. The existing studies focus on persuasive influence upon an individual, but they overlook the centrality of empathy and that in the absence of empathy, persuasion is not salient. If an individual empathizes with a message then when it is processed by the receiver, the message is more likely to be considered realistic, relatable, believable, and therefore, persuasive. However, very little is known as to how messages should be designed to stimulate empathy in order to optimize their persuasive impact, which is particularly relevant to terrorist and extremist messaging given the lethal outcome of successful persuasion. This study examines the neurocognitive process of radicalization, specifically as it occurs within virtual online space, and how message content and production features have the potential to arouse empathy and generate radical-persuasive outcomes among the target audience. The findings of this research demonstrate how emotions, specifically that of empathy, can be stimulated in order to facilitate the process of radicalization, thus increasing the potential for violent radical political behavior. Summary: Cognitive Radio Ad Hoc Networks (CRAHNs) are an essential method for resolving conflicts between extreme spectrum scarcity and rapid traffic increase while maintaining high‐quality service for consumers. However, the coexistence of primary and secondary users represents a critical challenge for reasonable resource allocation in order to provide a sustaining system performance. Many approaches have been developed to efficiently allocate resources; however, these methods are currently limited by things like user collision, strange traffic networks, and high data transmission error rates. To address these constraints, this paper proposes a policy‐configured reinforcement learning‐based ad hoc network (AHN) model. To obtain the ideal policy configuration for the network, the system first models the cognitive radio (CR) network, in which nodes are initialised and grouped employing the Link Reliability K‐Means clustering Algorithm (LR‐KMA). The available spectrum was then detected and separated into multiple bands utilizing coherent‐based detection (CBD) and signal source identification employing the Parzen–Rosenblatt Window‐based Restricted Boltzmann Machine (PRW‐RBM). Next, the learning model for the resource allocation process employs the Weibull Distribution‐based Blue Monkey Optimization (WD‐BMO) approach to pick the relevant bands. Finally, the experimental results were analyzed in order to evaluate the proposed resource allocation model's performance in CRAHNs. When compared with previous findings, the proposed method improves resource utilization by 5%, the proposed model achieves a 7% higher throughput, and the PRW‐RBM's accuracy improves classification accuracy by 1.07%. The objective of this study was to investigate the impact of music training on the processing of temporal order in Mandarin sentence reading using event-related potentials (ERPs). Two-clause sentences with temporal connectives ("before" or "after") were presented to both musicians and non-musicians. Additionally, a verbal N-back task was utilized to evaluate the participants' working memory capacities. The findings revealed that musicians, but not nonmusicians, demonstrated a more negative amplitude in the second clauses of "before" sentences compared with "after" sentences. In the N-back task, musicians exhibited faster reaction times than nonmusicians in the two-back condition. Furthermore, a correlation was observed between the ERP amplitude differences (before vs. after) and reaction time differences in the N-back task (0-back vs. 2-back) among musicians. The four-dimensional ellipsoid of an anisotropic hyper-structure corresponds to the four-dimensional sphere of an isotropic hyper-structure. In three dimensions, both theories for spherical and ellipsoidal harmonics have been developed by Laplace and Lamé, respectively. Nevertheless, in four dimensions, only the theory of hyper-spherical harmonics is hitherto known. This void in the literature is expected to be filled up by the present work. In fact, it is well known that the spectral decomposition of the Laplace equation in three-dimensional ellipsoidal geometry leads to the Lamé equation. This Lamé equation governs each one of the spectral functions corresponding to the three ellipsoidal coordinates, which, however, live in non-overlapping intervals. The analysis of the Lamé equation leads to four classes of Lamé functions, giving a total of 2n + 1 functions of degree n. In four dimensions, a much more elaborate procedure leads to similar results for the hyper-ellipsoidal structure. Actually, we demonstrate here that there are eight classes of the spectral hyper-Lamé equation and we provide a complete analysis for each one of them. The number of hyper-Lamé functions of degree n is (n + 1)2; that is, n2 more functions than the three-dimensional case. However, the main difficulty in the four-dimensional analysis concerns the evaluation of the three separation constants appearing during the separation process. One of them can be extracted from the corresponding theory of the hyper-sphero-conal system, but the other two constants are obtained via a much more complicated procedure than the three-dimensional case. In fact, the solution process exhibits specific nonlinearities of polynomial type, itemized for every class and every degree. An example of this procedure is demonstrated in detail in order to make the process clear. Finally, the hyper-ellipsoidal harmonics are given as the product of four identical hyper-Lamé functions, each one defined in its own domain, which are explicitly calculated and tabulated for every degree less than five. Predictive coding accounts of perception state that the brain generates perceptual predictions in the service of processing incoming sensory data. These predictions are hypothesized to be afforded by the brain's ability to internalize useful patterns, that is, statistical regularities, from the environment. We have previously argued that the N300 ERP component serves as an index of the brain's use of representations of (real-world) statistical regularities. However, we do not yet know whether overt attention is necessary in order for this process to engage. We addressed this question by presenting stimuli of either high or low real-world statistical regularity in terms of their representativeness (good/bad exemplars of natural scene categories) to participants who either fully attended the stimuli or were distracted by another task (attended/distracted conditions). Replicating past work, N300 responses were larger to bad than to good scene exemplars, and furthermore, we demonstrate minimal impacts of distraction on N300 effects. Thus, it seems that overtly focused attention is not required to maintain the brain's sensitivity to real-world statistical regularity. Furthermore, in an exploratory analysis, we showed that providing additional, artificial regularities, formed by altering the proportions of good and bad exemplars within blocks, further enhanced the N300 effect in both attended and distracted conditions, shedding light on the relationship between statistical regularities learned in the real world and those learned within the context of an experiment. In order to optimize the process parameters of the mechanical properties of PP/corn straw composites and further optimize the preparation process, the orthogonal test design of L16(44) was used to prepare PP/corn straw composites under different process parameters. The effects of wood-plastic ratio, hot pressing temperature, hot pressing time and hot pressing pressure on the mechanical properties of PP/corn straw composites were analyzed. The results showed that the wood-plastic ratio had the greatest influence on the mechanical properties of PP/corn straw composites among the four factors of wood-plastic ratio, hot pressing temperature, hot pressing time and hot pressing pressure. Secondly, the hot pressing pressure has a great influence on the flexural strength and impact strength of PP/corn straw composites, and the hot pressing temperature has a great influence on the tensile strength of PP/corn straw composites, the hot pressing time has the least influence on the properties of PP/corn straw. When the ratio of wood to plastic is 4:6, the hot pressing temperature is 185 °C, the hot pressing time is 10 min, and the hot pressing pressure is 2.5 MPa, the flexural strength is the maximum value of 39.58 MPa, and the impact strength is the smallest. When the ratio of wood to plastic is 4:6, the hot pressing temperature is 185 °C, the hot pressing time is 15 min, and the hot pressing pressure is 2.5 MPa, the tensile strength is 17.18 MPa. When the ratio of wood to plastic is 3:7, the hot pressing temperature is 190 °C, the hot pressing time is 15 min, and the hot pressing pressure is 2.5 MPa, the impact strength is the maximum value of 3.94 kJ/m², and the flexural and tensile strength are the smallest. By comparing the mechanical properties of these three processes, without considering the focus, the optimal preparation process was obtained as follows: wood-plastic ratio 4:6, hot pressing temperature 185 °C, hot pressing time 15 min, hot pressing pressure 2.5 MPa. In this article, we improve the behavior of nonparametric Shewhart-type control charts, which employ order statistics and multiple runs-type rules. The proposed class of monitoring schemes includes some existing control charts. In addition, new distribution-free monitoring schemes that pertain to the class, are set up and examined extensively. Explicit expressions for determining the variability and the mean of the run length distribution for the enhanced control charts are additionally delivered. As an example, a real-life managerial application is considered, where the proposed framework is implemented in order to enhance the provided services of a company under a supply chain management environment. Based on numerical comparisons, we draw the conclusion that the new charts outperform their competitors in identifying potential changes in the fundamental distribution in almost all cases considered. Sequential working memory (SWM), referring to the temporary storage and manipulation of information in order, plays a fundamental role in brain cognitive functions. The serial position effect refers to the phenomena that recall accuracy of an item is associated to the order of the item being presented. The neural mechanismunderpinning the serial position effect remains unclear. The synaptic mechanism of working memory proposes that information is stored as hidden states in the form of facilitated neuronal synapse connections. Here, we build a continuous attractor neural network with synaptic short-term plasticity (STP) to explore the neural mechanism of the serial position effect. Using a delay recall task, ourmodel reproduces the the experimental finding that as themaintenance period extends, the serial position effect transitions from the primacy to the recency effect. Using both numerical simulation and theoretical analysis, we show that the transition moment is determined by the parameters of STP and the interval between presented stimulus items. Robotic Mobile Fulfillment Systems (RMFSs) face challenges in handling large-scale orders and navigating complex environments, frequently encountering a series of intricate decision-making problems, such as order allocation, shelf selection, and robot scheduling. To address these challenges, this paper integrates Deep Reinforcement Learning (DRL) technology into an RMFS, to meet the needs of efficient order processing and system stability. This study focuses on three key stages of RMFSs: order allocation and sorting, shelf selection, and coordinated robot scheduling. For each stage, mathematical models are established and the corresponding solutions are proposed. Unlike traditional methods, DRL technology is introduced to solve these problems, utilizing a Genetic Algorithm and Ant Colony Optimization to handle decision making related to large-scale orders. Through simulation experiments, performance indicators—such as shelf access frequency and the total processing time of the RMFS—are evaluated. The experimental results demonstrate that, compared to traditional methods, our algorithms excel in handling large-scale orders, showcasing exceptional superiority, capable of completing approximately 110 tasks within an hour. Future research should focus on integrated decision-making modeling for each stage of RMFSs and designing efficient heuristic algorithms for large-scale problems, to further enhance system performance and efficiency. Restaurant growth in West Java is very rapid at around 12.52% per year. Saung Wulan restaurant is one of the restaurants that applies the traditional concept in Bekasi Regency. This study aims to determine the customer satisfaction of Saung Wulan restaurant. The research was conducted in April 2023 with a sample of Saung Wulan restaurant visitors during that period. The data were analyzed using the SERVQUAL concept, importance performance analysis (IPA), and gap analysis. During the research period, 144 respondents were collected, of which 53.41% were male, age range between 20 - 30 years, 44.32% and 31.82% of high school education. The results of the analysis show that the top priority services for improvement are: The suitability of the menu offered to the order, the speed of the staff in processing orders, and providing careful service. The services that have the highest gap between consumer expectations and the reality received are: Fast serving time, staff responsiveness to customer complaints, and staff speed in processing orders. The implication of the is that Saung Wulan Restaurant needs to prioritize improvements in suitability of the menu to orders, speed in processing orders, and careful service to increase customer satisfaction. Additionally, they need to address the high gap between expectations and reality in terms of serving time, response to customer complaints, and speed in processing orders to improve the overall customer experience. The aim of the study is to review the evolution of the Hungarian food retail network between 1989 and 2023 and to analyse the acquisition processes of the firms in order to point out future trends. It was examined how the individual networks have evolved and how the ranking of food retailers has evolved, highlighting the reasons behind them. The aim of the research was to follow the expansion of food retailing multinational and domestic retailers both in space and time. The authors' findings show a steady decline in the number of small food stores and a rise in the number of discounters in the Hungarian grocery stores networks. Picking protein particles in cryo-electron microscopy (cryo-EM) micrographs is a crucial step in the cryo-EM-based structure determination. However, existing methods trained on a limited amount of cryo-EM data still cannot accurately pick protein particles from noisy cryo-EM images. The general foundational artificial intelligence–based image segmentation model such as Meta's Segment Anything Model (SAM) cannot segment protein particles well because their training data do not include cryo-EM images. Here, we present a novel approach (CryoSegNet) of integrating an attention-gated U-shape network (U-Net) specially designed and trained for cryo-EM particle picking and the SAM. The U-Net is first trained on a large cryo-EM image dataset and then used to generate input from original cryo-EM images for SAM to make particle pickings. CryoSegNet shows both high precision and recall in segmenting protein particles from cryo-EM micrographs, irrespective of protein type, shape and size. On several independent datasets of various protein types, CryoSegNet outperforms two top machine learning particle pickers crYOLO and Topaz as well as SAM itself. The average resolution of density maps reconstructed from the particles picked by CryoSegNet is 3.33 Å, 7% better than 3.58 Å of Topaz and 14% better than 3.87 Å of crYOLO. We propose a new definition of the γ -convex stochastic processes (C SP) using center and radius (CR) order with the notion of interval valued functions (C. R I. V) . By utilizing this definition and Mean-Square Fractional Integrals, we generalize fractional Hermite–Hadamard–Mercer-type inclusions for generalized   C. R I. V versions of convex, tgs-convex, P-convex, exponential-type convex, Godunova–Levin convex, s-convex, Godunova–Levin s-convex, h-convex, n-polynomial convex, and fractional n-polynomial (C SP) . In the traditional picking and sorting process of fragrant pears, the quality control process is not perfect, and the identification and extraction methods are not mature enough. By combining the Internet of Things (IoT) and image detection technologies, the image data of pear planting area in the orchard was obtained, and the image of pear was preprocessed, denoised, and feature extracted by the visual background extraction algorithm. In order to verify the actual effect of the optimized identification and extraction method for fragrant pears using IoT and image detection technologies, a comparative experiment was conducted. The results show that compared with the traditional pear recognition and extraction method, the optimized pear recognition and extraction method has a better predictive effectiveness in the process of pear image processing, and the recall and accuracy rates are improved by approximately 8% and 12.7%, respectively. This verifies the reliability and efficiency of the identification extraction method for fragrant pear based on IoT and image detection technologies. In this article, we consider two parametric classes of derivative free iterative methods of high order of convergence in Banach spaces. We study local and semilocal convergence results in Banach spaces for both families of iterative processes. In order processing, consecutive sequences (e.g., 1‐2‐3) are generally processed faster than nonconsecutive sequences (e.g., 1‐3‐5) (also referred to as the reverse distance effect). A common explanation for this effect is that order processing operates via a memory‐based associative mechanism whereby consecutive sequences are processed faster because they are more familiar and thus more easily retrieved from memory. Conflicting with this proposal, however, is the finding that this effect is often absent. A possible explanation for these absences is that familiarity may vary both within and across sequence types; therefore, not all consecutive sequences are necessarily more familiar than all nonconsecutive sequences. Accordingly, under this familiarity perspective, familiar sequences should always be processed faster than unfamiliar sequences, but consecutive sequences may not always be processed faster than nonconsecutive sequences. To test this hypothesis in an adult population, we used a comparative judgment approach to measure familiarity at the individual sequence level. Using this measure, we found that although not all participants showed a reverse distance effect, all participants displayed a familiarity effect. Notably, this familiarity effect appeared stronger than the reverse distance effect at both the group and individual level; thus, suggesting the reverse distance effect may be better conceptualized as a specific instance of a more general familiarity effect. Current study aimed at exploring the impact of expert systems components (knowledge base, inference engine, explanation component, user interface, acquisition component) on organizational financial efficiency from perspective of financial managers within industrial organizations in Jordan. The quantitative deductive approach was utilized, and a questionnaire was handed to a convenient sample of (331) financial managers and analysts within industrial organizations. SPSS was adopted in order to process and analyze primary data; results of study accepted the main hypothesis which was articulated "expert systems components have statistically significant influence on financial efficiency" with r = 0.656 and a substantial relationship between "expert systems" and "financial Efficiency". This relationship accounted for 43.1% of the variance in the examined variable (the dependent variable). Regarding sub-variables, it was seen that the highest in influence was "user interface" scoring an r= 0.592 and a medium relationship with financial efficiency that accounted for 35.1% of the variance. Study recommended the need for expert systems to be able to reason and explain the reasons for the recommendations they make and to respond to simple questions raised by non-specialists. Purpose: The digital warehouse management system is an emergence that forms a critical part of the transformation of economic structure in Industry 4.0. In the present business scenario, the warehouse management system encounters a messy layout, poor damage control, unsatisfactory order management, lack of visibility and lack of technological interventions. Digital twin (DT) based warehouse system shows the ontology and knowledge graphs for competitive advantage by consolidating and transferring goods directly from an inbound supplier to an outbound customer on short notice and with no or limited storage. There remains a lack of clarity on how the DT can be implemented successfully in warehouse management. Design/methodology/approach: The current literature remains largely unstructured and scattered due to a lack of a systematic approach to integrating the research implications and analysis. This paper probes the conceptualization of the DT with the help of theoretical analysis using the systematic literature analysis method. Findings: The study explores essential concepts such as interoperability and integrability in implementing DT. Further, it analyzes the role of a supply chain control tower (SCCT) in modern supply chain management. A research framework is proposed for practitioners and academicians by incorporating the opportunities and challenges associated with DT implementation. The research findings are mainly threefold: Conceptualization of DT, Featuring SCCT and Exploration of cross-computer platform interfaces, scalability and maintenance strategies. Originality/value: This study is among the first to analyze and review DT applications in warehouse management. Theoretical background: The literature analysis focuses on the importance of spatial design of warehouses, especially the retrieval zone. Research shows that warehouse layout has a key impact on operational efficiency, especially in manual order picking. The authors discuss various approaches that are mainly aimed at minimizing the average distance traveled by warehouse employees when picking orders. Other studies also include warehouse workers’ movements and operations planning. The authors note that existing research focuses mainly on operational efficiency, ignoring social and environmental aspects. Hence, there is a need to develop a methodology that will take into account these additional aspects of designing a sustainable warehouse. Purpose of the article: The article in the context of scientific research aims to present the methodology of designing a spatial warehouse system in terms of sustainable development. In a practical context, a tool for assessing the effectiveness of sustainable design was developed. Research methods: A case study was chosen as the research method. Observation and interviews with employees were used. These methods allowed for a better understanding of the analyzed issue and occurring phenomena. In addition, the methods used allowed to verify the developed method of spatial design of the warehouse in terms of sustainable development. Premium tea holds a significant place in Chinese tea culture, enjoying immense popularity among domestic consumers and an esteemed reputation in the international market, thereby significantly impacting the Chinese economy. To tackle challenges associated with the labor-intensive and inefficient manual picking process of premium tea, and to elevate the competitiveness of the premium tea sector, our research team has developed and rigorously tested a premium tea-picking robot that harnesses deep learning and computer vision for precise leaf recognition. This innovative technology has been patented by the China National Intellectual Property Administration (ZL202111236676.7). In our study, we constructed a deep-learning model that, through comprehensive data training, enabled the robot to accurately recognize tea buds. By integrating computer vision techniques, we achieved exact positioning of the tea buds. From a hardware perspective, we employed a high-performance robotic arm to ensure stable and efficient picking operations even in complex environments. During the experimental phase, we conducted detailed validations on the practical application of the YOLOv8 algorithm in tea bud identification. When compared to the YOLOv5 algorithm, YOLOv8 exhibited superior accuracy and reliability. Furthermore, we performed comprehensive testing on the path planning for the picking robotic arm, evaluating various algorithms to determine the most effective path planning approach for the picking process. Ultimately, we conducted field tests to assess the robot's performance. The results indicated a 62.02% success rate for the entire picking process of the premium tea-picking robot, with an average picking time of approximately 1.86 s per qualified tea bud. This study provides a solid foundation for further research, development, and deployment of premium tea-picking robots, serving as a valuable reference for the design of other crop-picking robots as well. Rapid, high-precision pickup of microseismic P- and S-waves is an important basis for microseismic monitoring and early warning. However, it is difficult to provide fast and highly accurate pickup of micro-seismic P- and S-waves arrival-time. To address this, the study proposes a lightweight and high-precision micro-seismic P- and S-waves arrival times picking model, lightweight adversarial U-shaped network (LAU-Net), based on the framework of the generative adversarial network, and successfully deployed in low-power devices. The pickup network constructs a lightweight feature extraction layer (GHRA) that focuses on extracting pertinent feature information, reducing model complexity and computation, and speeding up pickup. We propose a new adversarial learning strategy called application-aware loss function. By introducing the distribution difference between the predicted results and the artificial labels during the training process, we improve the training stability and further improve the pickup accuracy while ensuring the pickup speed. Finally, 8986 and 473 sets of micro-seismic events are used as training and testing sets to train and test the LAU-Net model, and compared with the STA/LTA algorithm, CNNDET+CGANet algorithm, and UNet++ algorithm, the speed of each pickup is faster than that of the other algorithms by 11.59ms, 15.19ms, and 7.79ms, respectively. The accuracy of the P-wave pickup is improved by 0.221, 0.01, and 0.029, respectively, and the S-wave pickup accuracy is improved by 0.233, 0.135, and 0.102, respectively. It is further applied in the actual project of the Shengli oilfield in Sichuan. The LAU-Net model can meet the needs of practical micro-seismic monitoring and early warning and provides a new way of thinking for accurate and fast on-time picking of micro-seismic P- and S-waves. Two-dimensional (2D) materials and their heterostructures have been widely explored for high-performance energy conversion applications. The Thomson effect—a higher order transport process—plays an important role in thermoelectric devices, yet its effect on the performance of thermionic devices remains unknown thus far. Here, we investigate the performance of thermionic refrigeration in vertically stacked heterostructure (VHS) and laterally stitched heterointerface (LHS) composed of a graphene and a 2D semiconductor (i.e., MoS 2 and WSe 2) in the presence of the Thomson effect. Using a temperature-dependent Seebeck coefficient, we derived the analytical expressions of the cooling efficiency and the effective Z T. We shall show that the Thomson effect improves the coefficient of performance (COP) by up to 20%, particularly, in the case where the temperature difference between the cold and the hot electrodes is large. However, the Carnot efficiency decreases with the temperature difference. The overall COP is reduced by the Thomson effect. We calculate the COP in graphene/MoS 2 /graphene and graphene/WSe 2 /graphene VHS and LHS devices. We show that the LHS composed of WSe 2 significantly outperforms the VHS and MoS 2 counterpart. These findings provide an understanding of thermionic processes in the higher-order transport regime and shall offer insights into the design of novel 2D material heterostructure thermionic energy converters. In sequential auctions, all the sub-orders from a buyer need to be sorted and consolidated within a short time window for shipping. Buyer demands and sub-order arrival times are uncertain. The current auction order fulfillment is facing several challenges. Based on a re-engineered Industrial Internet-of-Things (IIoT)-enabled automation system, this paper introduces an order batching approach with forecasting and postponement. Such an approach generates batches considering time interval and buyer completion rate to minimise the total processing time of the auction orders and system response time. The buyer completion rate refers to the ratio of current cumulative and predicted purchase quantity. We use the forecasting method proposed by Kong et al. (2021) to estimate the purchasing quantity. Through a series of computational experiments using real-life data, the proposed order batching method achieves a shorter order processing time and system response time.
