CO2 mineralization plays a critical role in the storage and utilization of CO2. Coal fly ash (CFA) and red mud (RM) are widely utilized as CO2 mineralizers. However, the inert calcium species in CFA limit its carbonation capacity, meanwhile the substantial Ca2+ releasing of RM is hindered by a covering layer of calcium carbonate. In this study, CO2 mineralization in a composite system of CFA and RM was investigated to enhance the carbonation capacity. Multiple analyzers were employed to characterize the raw materials and resulting mineralization products. The results demonstrated that a synergistic effect existed in the composite system of CFA and RM, resulting in improving CO2 mineralization rate and efficiency. The produced calcium carbonate was ectopically attached the surface of CFA in the composite system, thus slowing down its coverage on the surface of RM. This phenomenon facilitated further releasing Ca2+ from the internal RM, thereby enhancing CO2 mineralization efficiency. Meanwhile, the inclusion of RM significantly improved the alkalinity of the composite system, which not only promoted the dissolution of Ca2+ of the inert CaSO4(H2O)2 in CFA, but also accelerated CO2 mineralization rate. Objective: To discuss the effect of the Kiwi OmniCup system on reducing adverse maternal and neonatal outcomes and provide a reference for assisted vaginal delivery methods. Methods: Women who gave birth to singleton term neonates in a cephalic presentation and underwent assisted vaginal delivery from 2017 to 2021 were eligible for inclusion in the study; they were divided into a Kiwi OmniCup system group and a forceps group. Binary logistic regression analysis was used to observe and compare maternal and neonatal outcomes. The primary outcomes were severe maternal and neonatal morbidity. Severe maternal morbidity was defined as the occurrence of at least one of the following outcomes: third‐ or fourth‐degree perineal lacerations, refractory postpartum hemorrhage, thrombotic events, amniotic fluid embolism, admission to the intensive care unit, and maternal death. Severe neonatal morbidity was defined as the occurrence of at least one of the following outcomes: neonatal asphyxia requiring resuscitation or intubation, neonatal head and face injuries, neonatal fracture, and admission to the neonatal intensive care unit for longer than 24 h. Results: The rate of severe neonatal morbidity in the forceps group was significantly higher than that in the Kiwi OmniCup system group, the differences between the two groups were significant (27.2% vs. 42.3%, P < 0.001), and there was no significant difference in the rate of severe maternal morbidity between the two groups (30% vs. 30%, P > 0.05). Binary logistic regression analysis showed that Kiwi OmniCup system‐assisted delivery reduced severe neonatal morbidity (adjusted odds ratio 0.49; 95% confidence interval 0.33–0.73) and did not increase severe maternal morbidity compared with forceps‐assisted delivery. Conclusion: The Kiwi OmniCup system, which can reduce the incidence of severe neonatal morbidity without increasing the incidence of serious adverse maternal outcomes, is worthy of clinical promotion. A series of Ni-Al2O3 catalysts with attractive catalytic activity and thermal stability have been developed via a facile hydrolysis-precipitation technique (xNiAl-HP, x representing the weight percentage of NiO). Based on the high nickel active surface area, good dispersion of NiO and high content of α- and β1-type NiO, outstanding CO conversion (99%) and CH4 yield (96%) can be achieved over 40NiAl-HP under mild conditions [T = 220 °C, P = 1.0 MPa, and WHSV = 20,000 mL/(g·h)]. The reaction-sintering at high temperature (800 °C) evolves through: (a) the migration of nickel crystals, (b) the phase transformation from γ- to θ- and then to α-Al2O3, and (c) the agglomeration of catalyst particles. The 40NiAl-HP catalyst could still maintain CO conversion over 99% at 300 °C after being used at 800 °C for 100 h. Herein, the high catalytic activity, good sintering resistance and noble-metal-/promoter-free nature might make 40NiAl-HP a competitive candidate for industrial methanation. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Solubilitiesof SO2in binary mixtures of urea and ethyleneglycol were determined by gas–liquid equilibrium experimentsat the temperatures from (298.15 to 318.15 K) and 122.7 kPa, withSO2partial pressure in gas phase in the range of (0 to130) Pa. Henry’s law constants were calculated based on thesolubility data. It indicated that the mixture with urea molalityof 6.65 mol·kg–1has the most desirable capacity.More than 90 % SO2can be regenerated by bubbling N2at 338.15 K. Density and viscosity data for the binary mixtureswere also measured. In addition, UV, IR, and NMR experiments wereconducted to investigate the interaction between ethylene glycol,urea, and SO2. The result demonstrated that SO2can interact with the mixture by both the charge-transfer interactionbetween S (SO2)···N (urea) and the hydrogenbond between O (SO2)···H (ethylene glycol). Objective: To compare the differences in the characteristic medicinal cupping therapy between the traditional cupping device and the innovated cupping device., Methods: Fifty patients of neck and low back pain were selected. The self-comparison was adopted. The cupping therapy was applied to the acupoints located on the left or right side with the traditional cupping device and the innovated cupping device. The cupping sites were centered at bilateral Quyuan (SI 13) and Dachangshu (BL 25). The cups were retained for 10 min. The traditional cupping device was the glass with smooth border, 100mL. The innovated cupping device was the vacuum-sucking cup. The operative time, medicinal leakage, comfort and cupping marks were observed for the two different cupping devices., Results: The operative time with the innovated medicinal cupping device was shorter obviously compared with the traditional one at Quyuan (SI 13) and Dachangshu (BL 25, both P<0. 05). The comfort with the innovated medicinal cupping device was remarkably improved as compared with the traditional one at the two acupoints (both P<0. 05). The medicinal leakage was similar between the two different devices during the cupping operation (both P>0. 05). The cupping marks with the innovated medicinal cupping device were much deeper than those with the traditional one after cupping therapy., Conclusion: The innovated cupping device is more convenent and comfortable in operation during the characteristic medicinal cupping therapy.
