We study the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) discovery prospects of a light charged Higgs boson decaying into a $W$ boson and a non-Standard Model (SM)-like Higgs within the 2-Higgs Doublet Model type-I. In the analysis, we consider the associated production of a charged Higgs boson with a light neutral one, $pp \rightarrow H^{\pm} h$, with the subsequent $H^\pm \rightarrow W^{\pm*} h$. We then investigate the emerging $W^{\pm*} + 4b$ final state and provide several benchmark points for signal-to-background analysis. Most of the current experimental searches for charged Higgs bosons at the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) concentrate upon the $tb$ and $\tau\nu$ decay channels. In the present study, we analyze instead the feasibility of the bosonic decay channel $W^{\pm *} h$, with the charged gauge boson being off-shell and $h$ being a neutral light Higgs boson, which decays predominantly into $b\bar{b}$. We perform a Monte Carlo (MC) analysis for the associate production of a charged Higgs with such a light neutral one, $pp\to H^\pm h$, at the LHC followed by the aforementioned charged Higgs boson decay, which leads to a $W^{\pm *} +4b$ final state. The analysis is performed within the 2-Higgs Doublet Model (2HDM) with Yukawa texture of Type-I. We take into account all available experimental constraints from LEP, Tevatron and the LHC as well as the theoretical requirements of self-consistency of this scenario. In order to study the full process $pp \rightarrow H^{\pm} h \rightarrow W^{\pm *} h h \rightarrow \ell^\pm \nu+ 4b$ ($\ell=e,\mu$), we provide several Benchmark Points (BPs) amenable to further analysis, with $M_{H^\pm}+M_{b} < M_{t}$, for which we prove that there is a strong possibility that this spectacular signal could be found at the LHC with center of mass energy 14 TeV and luminosity 300 $\rm{fb}^{-1}$., Comment: 20 pages, 9 figures, 7 tables

In the present paper, the electronic, structural, thermodynamic, and elastic properties of cubic $PbGeO_{3}$ perovskite oxide are presented and computed using the WIEN2K code. The structural properties have been evaluated and they are in good agreement with the theoretical and experimental data. A phonon dispersion is made and it reveals that the cubic $PbGeO_{3}$ perovskite is dynamically stable. In addition, the electronic properties of $PbGeO_{3}$ shows an opening gap energy, meaning a semiconductor behavior with an indirect band gap equal to $1.67 eV$. Moreover, the obtained elastic constants of cubic $PbGeO_{3}$ satisfy Born's mechanical stability criteria, and this indicates that our compound behaves as a stable ductile material. The temperature-pressure effects on thermodynamic parameters are investigated using the Gibbs$2$ package. Finally, based on the obtained results about the cubic $PbGeO_{3}$ perovskite properties, we assume that this compound will have potential applications., Comment: 17 pages, 9 figures

In this contribution, the likelihood of seeing charged Higgs and $W$ boson production in the context of 2HDMs type-I and type-X at the LHC is examined, assuming that either $h$ or $H$ resembles the detected resonance around $\sim 125$ GeV. We consider the possibility of the charged Higgs boson decays channels through $H^\pm \to W^\pm h_i / A$, focusing on the $b\bar{b}$ and $\tau\tau$ decays of $h_i$ and $A$. In both type-I and type-X insights of the 2HDMs, we investigate the potential fingerprints resulting from the previously mentioned charged Higgs production and decay. We find in our study that these signatures can have sizable rates at low $\tan\beta$ as long as the condition $M_{H^\pm} < m_t - m_b$ is met. The electronic, elastic, structural, thermoelectric and optical parameters of the Pb-based cubic perovskites $PbREO_3\; (RE=Ce,\; Gd,\; Nd)$ were calculated using the WIEN2k Package. The mechanical optimization and structural stabilities were evaluated. The found results are in full agreement with the experimental ones. The obtained elastic results show that these perovskites behave as stable ductile materials, and their higher $Y$ value gives them a rigid structures. The $PbCeO_3$ presents n-type semiconductor while $PbREO_3\; (RE= Gd,\; Nd)$ exhibit p-type semi-conductor with gap energies of $2.60\;eV$, $1.02\;eV$ and $1.55\;eV$, respectively. The optical properties show that $PbREO_3\; (RE=Ce,\; Gd,\; Nd)$ have significant absorption in the visible light region with low reflectivity. The thermoelectric properties present a desired electrical performance at room temperature for all materials. For these generation of materials the effect of RE on Pb-based cubic perovskite oxides can be exploited in manufacturing of thermoelectric, mechanic and optoelectronic devices., Comment: 23 pages, 21 figures

Various physical properties (electronic, optical and thermoelectric) of cubic perovskite oxides $SrXO_3\; (X=Sc,\; Ge,\; Si)$ are investigated by using the density functional theory (DFT) within Wien2k code. This code is based on different approximations such as generalized gradient approximation GGA, PBEsol, LDA, WC and the modified Becke-Johnson exchange potentials (mBJ, nmBJ and unmBJ). Structural properties and the optimization have been calculated using PBEsol functional which showed a significant results that are in good agreement with the experimental ones. The results for physical properties such as electronic, thermoelectric and optical are analyzed in detail by using the nmBJ approximation. The obtained results present an opening gap for $SrSiO_3$, $SrGeO_3$ and a metallic behavior for $SrScO_3$. An average of transmittance which is about $94\%$ to $97\%$ was observed in the range of visible light. The increase of electrical conductivity with temperature confirms the effect of thermal agitation on the concentration of charges carriers using BolzTrap Package. Lastly a phonon dispersion was made and show that for $X=\; Ge$ and $Si$, the structure is relatively stable while $SrScO_3$ is dynamically unstable. In this study, we investigate the light charged Higgs boson production via $pp \rightarrow H^\pm bj$ in the type-I configuration of the Two-Higgs Doublet Model (2HDM). In the viable parameter space, assuming either $h$ or $H$ is the SM-like Higgs boson observed at the Large Hadron Collider (LHC), we focus on the bosonic decays $H^\pm \rightarrow W^\pm A/h$ and examine the final states arising from the above charged Higgs production and decay. A search for charged Higgs may yield clear and direct signs of new physics outside the realm of the Standard Model (SM). In the Two-Higgs Doublet Model (2HDM), we investigate two of the main single charged Higgs production channels at the Large Hadron Collider (LHC), assuming that either $h$ or $H$ replicates the detected resonance at $\sim 125~\rm{GeV}$. We consider the possibility of the charged Higgs boson production through the $pp \rightarrow H^\pm W^\mp$ and $pp \rightarrow H^\pm bj$ production processes that may present additional significance at the LHC experiments. Considering the $H^\pm \rightarrow W^\pm h_i/A$ decay channels and mainly concentrating on the $b\bar{b}$, $\tau\tau$ and $\gamma\gamma$ decays of $h_i$ and $A$, we examine the possible signatures arising from the aforementioned charged Higgs production and decay in both type-I and type-X realizations of 2HDM. Our study shows that these signatures can have sizable rates at low $\tan\beta$ as long as the condition $M_{H^\pm} < m_t - m_b$ is satisfied. In this research paper, we investigate the decay of the proton into neutron, positron and electron neutrino in the presence of an external electromagnetic field with circular polarization. Different physical quantities related to this decay process, such as proton's decay rate and its lifetime, are calculated based on the S-matrix approach. The proton and positron are treated as Dirac-Volkov states, while the neutron and electron neutrino are free-states. We have found that, though it can not occur in vacuum, the proton's decay process into neutron, positron and electron neutrino becomes possible in the presence of laser field with high intensities near or close to the Schwinger limit. In addition, near this limit and for some frequencies, the proton's lifetime can be comparable to that of the neutron, and the required laser strength, from which this decay becomes possible, depends on the chosen laser source., Comment: 10 pages, 2 figures

In both absence and presence of a circularly polarized monochromatic electromagnetic pulse, we have analyzed the electron-nucleon scattering process, where the nucleon is assumed to be spinless with a spherical shape. We have provided the theoretical calculation of the differential cross section (DCS) by using the Dirac-Volkov formalism. This research paper aims to provide two comparisons: We first compare the DCS in the absence of the laser field with its corresponding laser-assisted DCS. A second comparison is made between the electron-proton and electron-neutron scattering processes to study the effect of the laser on both processes. The results obtained about the effect of the laser field on the DCS and the electric form factor have been discussed for both scattering processes. We have found that the DCS is reduced when the laser field is applied for both processes. In addition, the form factor is also decreased by raising the incident electron energy in electron-proton scattering, but it increases in electron-neutron scattering. Within the framework of electroweak theory, we investigate the elastic scattering process $ e^{-} + \nu_{\mu} \rightarrow e^{-} + \nu_{\mu}$ in the presence of an intense elliptically polarized laser field. We derive an analytical expression for the spin-unpolarized differential cross section using the first Born approximation and the Dirac-Volkov states to describe the incident and scattered electrons. Our results generalize those found for the linearly polarized field by Bai \textit{et al.} [Phys. Rev. A \textbf{85}, 013402 (2012)] and for the circularly polarized field by El Asri \textit{et al.} [Phys. Rev. D \textbf{104}, 113001 (2021)]. We investigate the light charged Higgs boson production via $pp \rightarrow H^\pm h$ at the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) in the Two-Higgs Doublet Model (2HDM) type-I. In this paper, we investigate the charged Higgs boson decay in the context of the type-II two-Higgs-doublet model in the presence of a circularly polarized electromagnetic field of laser radiation. The calculations are performed by adopting the Furry picture approach of non-perturbative interactions with the external electromagnetic field. Using the method of exact solutions for charged particles states in the presence of a circularly polarized electromagnetic wave field and evaluating the $S$-matrix elements, an exact analytic expression is derived for the decay width of leptonic, hadronic and bosonic decay modes. The branching ratios of different decay modes with multiple photon emission and absorption from the laser beam are analyzed and found to be dramatically modified in the region of superstrong fields. The dependencies of the decay width on the laser field strength and frequency are also examined. In the centre of mass frame, we have investigated the process of Higgs production in association with a pair of fermions, $e^{+}e^{-}\rightarrow f\bar{f} H$, at the leading order inside an intense electromagnetic field with circular polarization. Our analytical calculations are based on the Narrow Width Approximation (NWA), which is valid in the leading order. We have considered only the initial particles inside the laser field as a first step. In the second part, we have embedded both initial and final particles in the laser field. We have analyzed the angular distribution of the produced Higgs boson as a function of the laser parameters in both cases. We have found that in the case where both initial and final particles are embedded in the laser field, the order of magnitude of the differential cross-section of the process $e^{+}e^{-}\rightarrow\mu^{+}\mu^{-}H$ is reduced more significantly, while that of the process $e^{+}e^{-}\rightarrow\nu\bar{\nu}H$ is enhanced., Comment: 7 pages, 4 figures

In accordance with the electroweak theory, we perform, in the first-Born approximation, a detailed analytical treatment of the differential cross-section (DCS) for the elastic scattering process $e^{-}+\nu_{\mu}\longrightarrow e^{-}+\nu_{\mu}$ in both absence and presence of a circularly polarized laser field. This scattering process is examined by using Dirac-Volkov wave functions for charged particles within an external laser field. The theoretical results obtained for the differential cross-section without laser field are compared with other theoretical results within the framework of Fermi theory. These results revealed to us the most important points that contribute to the understanding of the electroweak theory role in solving the problem of unitarity violation of the differential cross-section in Fermi theory. The differential cross section is modified significantly by inserting the electrons into an electromagnetic field. In addition, the influence of the laser strength and its frequency on the photons exchange between the colliding system and the laser field are also included and discussed. This work aims to study theoretically the electron-proton scattering for initially spin-polarized electrons in the presence of a circularly polarized electromagnetic field. Using the first Born approximation and the Dirac-Volkov states for dressed electrons, we derive an analytic expression for the differential cross-section with the help of the spin-helicity formalism. Meanwhile, a well-known concept of spin-flip and spin non-flip differential cross sections is applied. The influence of the electromagnetic field on the degree of polarization of the scattered electron is investigated, and the effect of electron spin polarization is examined. We found that the initial spin of the electron can be affected depending on its kinetic energy during the scattering process. This work is a continuation of a recent paper in which we studied the unpolarized electron-proton scattering in the presence of a laser field (Dahiri, et al., Laser Phys. Lett. 18 (2021) 096001).

In the framework of Higgs triplet model (HTM), we study the pair production process of doubly charged Higgs bosons via $e^{+}e^{-}$ annihilation in the presence of a laser field with circular polarization . We begin our work by presenting the theoretical calculation of the differential cross section in the centre of mass frame including both $Z$ and $\gamma$ diagrams. Then, from the numerical analysis of the production cross section's dependence on the laser field parameters, we have shown that the laser-assisted total cross section decreases as far as the electromagnetic field intensity enhances or by decreasing its frequency. Finally, we analyze the variation of the total cross section versus the mass of the doubly charged Higgs boson by fixing the laser field parameters and the centre of mass energy, and we have found that the order of magnitude of the cross section decreases as long as $M_{H^{\pm\pm}}$ increases., Comment: 18 pages, 6 figures

In this paper, we have theoretically studied the neutral Higgs pair production in Two Higgs Doublet Model (THDM) in the presence of a circularly polarized laser field. The laser-assisted differential partial cross section is derived in the centre of mass frame at the leading order including $Z$ diagram. The total cross section is computed numerically by integrating the differential cross section over the solid angle $d\Omega$. Two benchmark points are discussed for the THDM parameters. In the first step, we have analyzed the total cross section of ${e}^{+}{e}^{-}\rightarrow h^{0}A^{0}$ by considering $H^{0}$ as the standard model-like Higgs boson. Then, the process ${e}^{+}{e}^{-}\rightarrow H^{0}A^{0}$ is studied by taking $h^{0}$ as the Higgs boson of the standard model. For both benchmark points, the laser-assisted total cross section of the studied processes depends on the produced neutral Higgs masses, the centre of mass energy and the laser field parameters. In addition, the maximum cross section occurs at high centre of mass energy for the process ${e}^{+}{e}^{-}\rightarrow H^{0}A^{0}$ as compared to that of ${e}^{+}{e}^{-}\rightarrow h^{0}A^{0}$., Comment: 18 pages, 10 figures

In this study, we have investigated the production of a charged Higgs boson in assiciation with a charged weak $W$-boson ($H^{\pm}W^{\mp}$) at tree level via $e^{+}e^{-}$ annihilation in the presence of a laser field with circular polarization. At first step and by using analytical techniques, we have derived the expression of the differential cross section involving both $Z$ and $\gamma$ diagrams. Next, we have shown that the cross section of this process inside the laser field is proportional to the form factor $F_{HWV}$, and it depends on the mass of the charged Higgs boson and the energy of the center of mass. Then, we have analyzed the dependence of the total laser-assisted cross section on the number of photons exchanged for two different cases of form factor. We analyze a new signature of a charged Higgs boson in the Type-I realization of the 2-Higgs Doublet Model (2HDM), where the mass of the charged Higgs boson satisfies the condition $M_{H^{\pm}}

In this study, we have investigated the two-body hadronic decay of the charged kaon, $ K^{+}\rightarrow\pi^{+}+\pi^{0} $, in the presence of a laser field with circular polarization. We have derived, by analytical techniques, the laser-assisted decay width and the branching ratio of the charged kaon decay via the two-body hadronic channel. We have also taken into consideration the impressive results obtained for the laser-assisted charged kaon decay via the leptonic mode in order to understand more clearly the effect of the laser field on the quantities related to the charged kaon decay such as the decay width, the branching ratio and lifetime. A precise comparison of the ratios of hadronic to muonic decay in the presence of the laser field is made to show that the hadronic mode becomes slightly more important by increasing the laser field intensity., Comment: 13 pages, 4 figures

Choosing a specific direction for the propagation of laser field waves often presents a challenge for researchers studying laser-assisted ultrafast quantum processes. They are faced with the question of why exactly this direction and not another. This paper resolves the discussion in this issue regarding decay processes. Therefore, we study theoretically the pion decay process in the presence of a circularly polarized laser field propagating along an arbitrary general direction. Using the first Born approximation and the Dirac-Volkov states for charged particles, we derive an analytic expression for the decay rate. The direction of the laser field was found to have no significant effect on the nature of the result obtained. This study generalizes the results found for a field with a wave vector along the $z$-axis in a recent paper (Phys Rev D 102:073006, 2020). This paper will serve as a justification for the choice of a specific direction for the laser field in laser-assisted decay processes. In this paper, we have investigated the elementary particle reaction ${e}^{+} {e}^{-} \rightarrow{\mu}^{+} {\mu}^{-}$ that results from the electron-positron interaction, at the leading order, with an intense laser wave of circular polarization. We have derived, by annalytical means, the laser-assisted differential cross section expression by using the scattering matrix approach. We have analyzed the energy and the number of exchanged photons dependence of muon pair production in electron-positron annihilation at different centre of mass energies including the $Z$-boson peak. For this reason, a wide range of high centre of mass energies relevant to future $e^{+}e^{-}$ collider were covered to study the cross section behavior. We have found that, for a given number of exchanged photons, laser field strength and frequency, the circularly polarized laser field decreases the total cross section by several orders of magnitudes., Comment: 17 pages, 10 figures

Within the framework of quantum electrodynamics, the scattering of an electron by a muon in the presence of a circularly polarized monochromatic laser field is investigated theoretically in the first Born approximation. The expressions for the amplitude and the differential cross section are derived analytically by adopting the Furry picture approach in which the calculations are carried out using exact relativistic Dirac-Volkov functions. We begin by studying the process taking into account the relativistic dressing of only the electron without muon. Then, in order to reveal the effect of the muon dressing, we fully consider the relativistic dressing of the electron and muon together in the initial and final states. As a result, the differential cross section is significantly reduced by the laser field. We find that the effect of laser-dressing of muon becomes noticeable at laser field strengths greater than or equal to $10^{9}~\text{V cm}^{-1}$ and therefore must be taken into account. The influence of the laser field strength and frequency on the differential cross section and multiphoton process is revealed. The production of a pair of charged Higgs bosons from $e^{+}e^{-}$ annihilation in the presence of a circularly polarized laser field is investigated in Inert Higgs doublet Model (IHDM) at ${e}^{+}{e}^{-}$ colliders. We have derived the analytical expression for the laser-assisted differential cross section by using the Dirac-Volkov formalism at leading order including the $Z$ and $\gamma$ diagrams. Since the laser-free cross section of this process depends, in the lowest order, only on the mass of the charged Higgs boson and the energy of the center of mass, we have analyzed the dependence of the total laser-assisted cross section on these parameters and also on the laser parameters such as the number of photons exchanged, the laser field intensity and its frequency. The results found indicate that the electromagnetic field decreases the order of magnitude of the total cross section as much as the laser field intensity increases or by decreasing its frequency. In the framework of the Inert Higgs Doublet model (IHDM), we have investigated, in the center of mass frame, the neutral Higgs-boson pair production in the presence of an intense and circularly polarized laser field via ${e}^{+} {e}^{-}$ annihilation $({e}^{+} {e}^{-}\rightarrow H^{0}A^{0})$ at the lowest order. By using the scattering matrix method, we have derived the analytical expression of the differential cross section. The latter is numerically integrated over the solid angle to obtain the total cross section. Then, we have shown how this total cross section depends on the outgoing particles mass for different number of exchanged photons. Next, we have illustrated its variation as a function of the centre of mass energy for different neutral Higgs-boson masses. Finally, we have indicated how it changes as a function of the laser field amplitudes for both different number of exchanged photons and different neutral Higgs-bosons masses., Comment: 10 pages, 6 figures

In this paper, we have investigated the charged kaons decay at the lowest order in the presence of a circularly polarized laser field. To be more precise, we have examined the leptonic decay of both positive (matter) and negative (antimatter) kaon which weakly decay via the exchange of $W$ boson. Indeed, we have derived the expression of the leptonic decay width, the leptonic branching ratio, the leptonic ratio and the charged kaon lifetime by using the decay matrix approach. In addition, by using numerical computation, we have presented and discussed how the laser field influences these physical quantities. Moreover, we have analyzed the effect of the laser field on the parameter associated with the CPT symmetry. Then, we have concluded that, in the presence of an electromagnetic field and based on this CPT symmetry parameter, it is possible to control the dominance of matter over antimatter or vice-versa by applying an external field to either violate or conserve the CPT symmetry., Comment: 17 pages, 5 figures, 2 tables

We analyse a light charged Higgs boson in the 2-Higgs Doublet Model (2HDM) Type-I, when its mass satisfies the condition $M_{H^{\pm}} < M_{t}+M_{b}$ and the parameter space is consistent with theoretical requirements of self-consistency as well as the latest experimental constraints from Large Hadron Collider (LHC) and other data. Over such a parameter space, wherein the Standard Model (SM)-like state discovered at the LHC in 2012 is the heaviest CP-even state of the 2HDM, it is found that the decay modes of the charged Higgs boson are dominated by $H^{\pm} \rightarrow W^{\pm *} h$. Furthermore, the light neutral Higgs boson $h$ dominantly decays into two photons. Under these conditions, we find that the production and decay process $ p p \to H^\pm h \to {W^\pm}^{(*)} h h \to l \nu_{l} + 4 \gamma$ ($l=e,\mu$) is essentially background free. However, since the $W^{\pm(*)}$ could be largely off-shell and the $h$ state is very light, so that both the lepton coming from the former and the photons coming from the latter could be rather soft, we perform here a full Monte Carlo (MC) analysis at the detector level demonstrating that such a $W^{\pm} + 4\gamma$ signal is very promising, as it would be yielding significant excesses at the LHC with an integrated luminosity of $L=$ 300 $fb^{-1}$ at both $\sqrt{s}= 13$ and $14 ~\text{TeV}$., Comment: 21 pages, 18 figures

At the Large Hadron Collider (LHC), both the ATLAS and CMS Collaborations have been searching for light charged Higgs bosons via top (anti)quark production and decays channels, like $pp\to t \bar{t}$ with one top (anti)quark decaying into a charged Higgs boson and a $b$ (anti)quark, when the decay is kinematically open (i.e., when $m_{H^\pm}\lesssim m_t$). In this paper, we propose new searches at the LHC involving light charged Higgs bosons via their pair production channels like $pp\to H^\pm h/A$ and $pp\to H^+ H^-$ in the 2-Higgs Doublet Model (2HDM) Type-I and -X scenarios. By focusing on the case where the heavy $H$ state plays the role of the Standard Model (SM)-like Higgs boson with a mass near 125 GeV, we study the aforementioned Higgs boson pair production channels and investigate their bosonic decays, such as $H^\pm \to W^{\pm } h$ and/or $H^\pm \to W^{\pm } A$. We demonstrate that for a light charged Higgs boson state, with $m_{H^\pm}\lesssim m_t$, at the LHC, such di-Higgs production and decay channels can give rise to signatures with event rates much larger than those emerging from $pp\to t\bar{t}\to t\bar{b} H^-$ + c.c.. We specifically study $h/A\to b\bar b$ and $\tau^+\tau^-$ decays. We, therefore, claim that the discussed combination of new production and decay modes can result in an alternative discovery channel for charged Higgs bosons lighter than the top (anti)quark at the LHC within the above two 2HDM Types. Finally, in order to motivate experimentalists in ATLAS and CMS to search for such signatures, we propose 16 Benchmark Points (BPs) which are compatible with both theoretical and experimental constraints., Comment: 17 pages, 5 figures; a few typos were corrected and two references were added

In the centre of mass frame, we have studied theoretically the $Z$-boson resonant production in the presence of an intense laser field via the weak process $e^+e^- \to \mu^+\mu^-$. Dressing the incident particles by a Circularly Polarized laser field (CP-laser field), at the first step, shows that for a given laser field's parameters, the $Z$- boson cross section decreases by several orders of magnitude. We have compared the the Total Cross Section (TCS) obtained by using the scattering matrix method with that given by the Breit-Wigner approach in the presence of a CP-laser field and the results are found to be very consistent. This result indicates that Breit-Wigner formula is valid not only for the laser-free process but also in the presence of a CP-laser field. The dependence of the laser-assisted differential cross section on the Centre of Mass Energy (CME) for different scattering angles proves that it reaches its maximum for small and high scattering angles. At the next step and by dressing both incident and scattered particles, we have shown that the CP-laser field largely affects the TCS, especially when its strength reaches $10^{9}\,V.cm^{-1}$. This result confirms that obtained for the elastic electron-proton scattering in the presence of a CP-laser field [I. Dahiri et al., arXiv:2102.00722v1]. In view of the great contribution of neutrino-electron scattering to the deep understanding of electroweak interactions, we focus in this paper on the study of elastic scattering of a muon neutrino by an electron $(e^{-}\nu_{\mu}\rightarrow e^{-}\nu_{\mu})$ in the presence of a circularly polarized electromagnetic field. We perform our theoretical calculation within the framework of Fermi theory using the exact wave functions of charged particles in an electromagnetic field. The expression of the differential cross section (DCS) for this process is obtained analytically in the absence and presence of the laser field. The effect of the field strength and frequency on the exchange of photons as well as on the DCS is presented and analyzed. Massive neutrino effects are also included and discussed. In the framework of the electroweak standard model, we investigated, in the center of mass frame, the Higgs boson production in the presence of an intense laser field via ${e}^{+} {e}^{-}$ annihilation $({e}^{+} {e}^{-}\rightarrow ZH)$. By comparing our results with those obtained by Djouadi \cite{1} for laser-free process, we show that the circularly polarized laser field affects significantly the $s$-channel Higgs boson production. We find that for a given number of exchanged photons, laser field strength and frequency, the total cross section decreases by several orders of magnitude. These effects of laser field on cross section are found to be consistent with what was found for muon pair production via QED process in the presence of a circularly polarized laser field \cite{2}., Comment: 17 pages, 11 figures

In principle, this paper suggests powerful laser technology as a promising instrument that can be experimentally useful to control the lifetime and branching ratio for an unstable particle decay. In a recent paper [arXiv:2101.00224], we calculated theoretically the $W^{-}$-boson leptonic decay $(W^{-}\rightarrow \ell^{-} \bar{\nu}_{\ell})$ in the presence of a circularly polarized laser and we showed that the laser significantly contributed to the diminution of the leptonic decay rate. In this paper, as a continuation of the previous one, we mainly deal with the theoretical calculation of the $W^{-}$-boson hadronic decay $(W^{-}\rightarrow q \bar{q}')$ and we combine the analytical results obtained in both papers to examine the effect of an intense laser, in terms of its field strength and frequency, on the three measurable quantities in $W^{-}$-boson decay (total decay rate, lifetime and branching ratios). It was found that the laser has notably contributed to the reduction of the total decay rate leading to a longer lifetime. Most importantly, the two branching ratios (one for leptons and the other for hadrons) are affected (increased or decreased) by the presence of a strong external electromagnetic field. Combined together, these two complementary works may provide an in-depth and comprehensive study that would be useful for any experimental investigation in the future., Comment: 23 pages, 4 figures, 4 tables

Owing to recent advances in laser technology, it has become important to investigate fundamental laser-assisted processes in very powerful laser fields. In the present work and within the framework of laser-assisted quantum electrodynamics (QED), electron-proton scattering was considered in the presence of a strong electromagnetic field of circular polarization. First, we present a study of the process where we only take into account the relativistic dressing of the electron without the proton. Then, in order to explore the effect of the proton dressing, we fully consider the relativistic dressing of the electron and the proton together and describe them by using Dirac-Volkov functions. The analytical expression for the differential cross section (DCS) in both cases is derived at lowest-order of perturbation theory. As a result, the DCS is notably reduced by the laser field. It is found that the effect of proton dressing begins to appear at laser field strengths greater than or equal to $10^{10}~\text{V/cm}$ and it therefore must be taken into account. The influence of the laser field strength and frequency on the DCS is reported. A comparison with the Mott scattering and the laser-free results is also included., Comment: 22 pages, 9 figures

In this paper and within the standard Glashow-Weinberg-Salam model of electroweak interactions, we study theoretically the leptonic decay of the $W^{-}$-boson $(W^{-}\rightarrow \ell^{-}\bar{\nu}_{\ell})$ in the presence of a circularly polarized electromagnetic field and we examine the laser effect, in terms of its field strength and frequency, on the leptonic decay rate and the phenomenon of multiphoton processes. The calculations are carried out using the exact relativistic wave functions of charged particles in an electromagnetic field. It was found that the laser significantly contributed to reducing the probability of $W^{-}$-boson decay. We show that the laser-assisted decay rate is equal to the laser-free one only when the famous Kroll-Watson sum rule is fulfilled. The notable effect of the laser on the leptonic decay rate was reasonably interpreted by the well-known quantum Zeno effect or by the opening of channels other than leptonic ones to decay. We hope that this article paved the way for an upcoming paper to study the hadronic decay of the $W^{-}$-boson and then explore the laser effect on its lifetime and branching ratios., Comment: 19 pages, 13 figures

This paper revives the controversial debate that has arisen over the last two decades about the possibility that the electromagnetic field affects the lifetime or the decay rate of an unstable particle. In this research, we show, by performing analytical calculations and extracting numerical results, that the pion lifetime can be changed notably by inserting the decaying pion into an electromagnetic field only if the number of photons transferred between the decaying system and the laser field does not reach the well-known sum-rule. The influence of the laser parameters on the decay rate and branching ratio is also discussed. The surprising result obtained for the pion lifetime is referred to as the well-known quantum Zeno effect.
