From 2 August to 4 August in 2023, a prolonged and extensive extreme heavy rainfall event occurrs in the southeast of Heilongjiang Province. Utilizing multiple observations and ERA5 reanalysis data, characteristics of the precipitation process are analyzed focusing on large-scale circulation background, mesoscale circulation system evolution, environmental conditions from perspectives of climate statistics, weather analysis, and physical quantity diagnosis. Factors contributing to the prolonged extreme heavy rainfall event are explored. Main causes for the long duration of this heavy precipitation event are the stable maintenance of favorable large-scale conditions, such as the persistent divergence of the upper troposphere, the stable location of the west Pacific subtropical high (WPSH) and Northeast China cold vortex (NCCV), and continuous water vapor transport by the southwest jet. Due to the strong southwest jet, there is abundant moisture transfer, primarily through the advection of water vapor, which is the primary source for heavy rainfall. The process can be divided into two stages due to significant differences of rainfall, atmospheric stratification, and local circulation characteristics. In the first stage, the meridional water vapor inflow layer and the saturated layer are thick, resulting in high tropospheric humidity. The atmospheric condition is characterized by weak convective instability. Under the control of the northwest airflow at 500 hPa, the development of southwest jet, along with the influence of a weak eastward-moving vortex system at 850 hPa, results in horizontal wind speed convergence and systematic upward motion, leading to widespread and prolonged precipitation. The heavy rainfall area is mainly composed of cumulus embedded stratus, with a large coverage area of the cloud system, low echo centroid height, and high precipitation efficiency. With weak convective instability that promotes the development of convection and train effect in some periods, extreme hourly precipitation and large cumulative precipitation occur. In the second stage, the meridional water vapor inflow is concentrated in the lower troposphere with high intensity. The lower troposphere is close to saturation, with high humidity and temperature, while the middle and upper troposphere is dry and cold, and the atmospheric condition is more unstable than that in the first stage. Convection is developed and strengthened by the combined action of systematic uplift by a trough at 500 hPa, warm shear at 850 hPa, topographic convergence, and uplift. The cloud system is dominated by local strong cumulus clouds, and the distribution of precipitation intensity is uneven. At the beginning of this stage, convective cells continue to form at the trumpet-shaped terrain and move towards the eastern mountainous areas, organizing into linear convection. This is accompanied by the development and southward movement of surface convergence lines, leading to the generation of new convection and continuously causing localized intense short-duration rainfall.

China’s rural areas have long been backward in development, and many villages have completed poverty alleviation with the help of the government. Facing the requirements of sustainable development, it is necessary to change the development path, continuously increase social capital, and effectively connect with government investment resources. The existing research and practice mostly construct the strategy of social capital from the inside of the village, lacking interaction with the superior government. This paper argues for the method of planners’ intervention. The advantage is that it links the power of government and villagers, creates a perceptible, experiential, valuable material environment, and promotes collective action. Through this process, the knowledge interaction and social relations in the village can be improved. The purpose of this paper is to study how participatory planning affects the content and mechanism of this process mentioned above. Taking Hongtang village as a case study, we analyze the in-depth changes that participatory planning has brought to the rural space and social level. In the participatory planning practice of Hongtang village, college rural planners took a small vegetable garden as the breakthrough point to stimulate villagers’ participation. In the process of the upgrade, planners evolved the interaction between the village committee and villagers in the path of IMEE, which is “Intervene, Motivate, Enable, Empower”. Moreover, planners always maintained contact with the higher-level government. Through the upgrade of small vegetable gardens, the villagers’ initiative was brought into practice, the social capital was fully explored, and an effective link with the government’s resource allocation was realized.

Pre-eclampsia (PE), a major cause of perinatal morbidity and mortality, accounts for up to 14 % mortality of maternal and 18 % of fetal or infant mortalities. However, the pathogenesis process of PE remains unclear. The aim of this study was to identify differentially expressed microRNAs (miRNAs) in the peripheral blood exosomes of early-onset PE patients versus healthy pregnant women using high-throughput sequencing, and to find candidate miRNAs as molecular markers. Methods: Peripheral blood samples were collected from five preeclamptic patients and five healthy women. Exosomal miRNAs were sequenced using the Illumina HiSeq4000 sequencing platform. The target gene prediction, biological function enrichment, and signaling pathway prediction of the miRNAs with significant differences were carried out using the Starbase database software, Gene Ontology (GO) and Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and Genomes (KEGG) databases, respectively. Abstract Housing quality is essential to human well-being, security and health. Monitoring the housing quality is crucial for unveiling the socioeconomic development status and providing political proposals. However, depicting the nationwide housing quality in large-scale and fine detail is exceedingly rare in remote rural areas owing to the high cost of canonical survey methods. Taking rural China as an example, we collect massive rural house images for housing quality assessment by various volunteers and further build up a deep learning model based on the assessed images to realize an automatic prediction for huge raw house images. As a result, the model performance achieves a high R 2 of 0.76. Afterward, the housing qualities of 10,000 Chinese villages are estimated based on 50,000 unlabeled geo-images, and an apparent spatial heterogeneity is discovered. Specifically, divided by Qinling Mountains-Huaihe River Line, housing quality in southern China is much better than in northern China. Our method provides high-resolution predictions of housing quality across the extensive rural area, which could be a complementary tool for automatical monitoring of housing change and supporting house-related policymaking.

Objectives: We aimed to explore the relationship among intolerance of uncertainty (IU), rumination, anxiety, and smartphone dependence (SPD) in preservice teachers during the COVID-19 pandemic. Methods: Two cross-sectional studies were conducted with Chinese preservice teachers, using questionnaires on IU, rumination, anxiety, and SPD. Data were analyzed using AMOS 24.0 and SPSS 25.0, and the mediating mechanism was tested using the macro program Model 6. Study 1 recruited participants who were forcibly sequestered in a university due to an anti-epidemic policy during the COVID-19 crisis. Study 2 was surveyed online from different universities to replicate and enhance the reliability of Study 1 finding. Results: Study 1 (N = 553, Mage = 20.8 ± 2.3, 30.0% female) and Study 2 (N = 1610, Mage = 21.1 ± 2.1, 51.4% female) both found that IU affected SPD through the independent mediators of rumination and anxiety, as well as the chain mediation of rumination→ anxiety. In Study 1, the indirect effect of IU on SPD was significant through rumination (β = 0.16, 95% CI [0.03, 0.06]), anxiety (β = 0.11, 95% CI [0.03, 0.06]), and the chain mediation (β = 0.02, 95% CI [0.01, 0.04]); in Study 2, the indirect effect of IU on SPD was significant through rumination (β = 0.08, 95% CI [0.05, 0.11]), anxiety (β = 0.10, 95% CI [0.08, 0.13]), and the chain mediation (β = 0.02, 95% CI [0.02, 0.03]). Conclusion: Two cross-sectional studies found that preservice teachers’ SPD is indirectly connected to IU, mediated by rumination and anxiety, and weakly mediated by the chain mediation of rumination and anxiety. Our findings may help educators understand the impact of anti-epidemic policies on preservice teachers and possible inclusive later interventions.

Abstract. Vaccines are one of the biggest successes in modern history and are particularly important in light of the multiple ongoing epidemics. Recently, vaccines have protected peoples’ health and lives around the world during the coronavirus disease 2019 pandemic. Different types of vaccines have their own characteristics and advantages and are used in the context of different epidemics. Responses to vaccination are also different, and can include adverse reactions and absent responses. These individual differences are thought to be influenced by host genes. In this review, we first discuss vaccine types and characteristics. Second, we discuss different responses to vaccination, primarily focusing on the association between genetic variation and inter-individual differences.

Abstract Background Indian Hedgehog (IHH), an important cell signaling protein, plays a key regulatory role in development of cartilage and chondrogenesis. Earlier studies have shown that heterozygous missense mutations in IHH gene may cause brachydactyly type A1 (BDA1), an autosomal dominant inheritance disease characterized by apparent shortness or absence of the middle phalanges of all digits. MicroRNAs (miRNAs) have been found to be significant post-transcriptional regulators of gene expression and significantly influence the process of bone-development. Therefore, it is possible that miRNAs are involved in the mechanism underlying the development of BDA1. However, the relationship between miRNAs and the pathogenesis of BDA1 remains unclear. Methods In this study, we used microarray-based miRNA profiling to investigate the role of miRNAs in BDA1 by characterization of differentially expressed miRNAs in C3H10T1/2 cell line induced by wild type (WT) and p.E95K mutant (MT) IHH signaling. Results Our results identified 6 differentially expressed miRNAs between WT and control (CT) group and 5 differentially expressed miRNAs between MT and CT groups. In particular, miR-135a-1-3p was found to be a significantly differentially expressed miRNA between WT and CT group. Results of dual-luciferase reporter gene experiment successfully discovered Hoxd10 was one of the target gene of miR-135a-1-3p. Additionally, our pathway analysis revealed that the targets of these miRNAs of interest were highly involved with Runx1/2, Notch and collagen-related pathways. Conclusions Taken together, our findings provided important clue for future study of the process of miRNA-regulation in IHH signaling and novel insights into the regulatory role of miRNA in pathogenesis of BDA1.

Abstract The occurrence of metastasis is a serious risk for renal cell carcinoma (RCC) patients. In order to develop novel therapeutic approaches to control the progression of metastatic RCC, it is of urgent need to understand the molecular mechanisms underlying RCC metastasis and identify prognostic markers of metastatic risk. Matrix metalloproteinases (MMPs) and tissue inhibitors of metalloproteinases (TIMPs) have been known to be closely associated with extracellular matrix (ECM) turnover, which plays a highly active role in tumor metastasis. Recent studies have shown that immunophilin FK-506-binding protein 51 (FKBP51) may be important for the regulation of ECM function, and exert effects on the invasion and migration of tumor cells. However, the mechanisms underlying these activities remain unclear. The present study detected the role of FKBP51 in clear cell renal cell carcinoma (ccRCC), the most common subtype of RCC, and found that FKBP51 significantly promotes ccRCC invasion and migration by binding with the TIMP3, connecting TIMP3 with Beclin1 complex and increasing autophagic degradation of TIMP3. Given the important roles that TIMPs/MMPs play in ECM regulation and remodeling, our findings will provide new perspective for future investigation of the regulation of metastasis of kidney cancer and other types of cancer.

The high morbidity of patients with coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) brings on a panic around the world. COVID-19 is associated with sex bias, immune system, and preexisting chronic diseases. We analyzed the gene expression in patients with COVID-19 and in their microbiota in order to identify potential biomarkers to aid in disease management. A total of 129 RNA samples from nasopharyngeal, oropharyngeal, and anal swabs were collected and sequenced in a high-throughput manner. Several microbial strains differed in abundance between patients with mild or severe COVID-19. Microbial genera were more abundant in oropharyngeal swabs than in nasopharyngeal or anal swabs. Oropharyngeal swabs allowed more sensitive detection of the causative SARS-CoV-2. Microbial and human transcriptomes in swabs from patients with mild disease showed enrichment of genes involved in amino acid metabolism, or protein modification via small protein removal, and antibacterial defense responses, respectively, whereas swabs from patients with severe disease showed enrichment of genes involved in drug metabolism, or negative regulation of apoptosis execution, spermatogenesis, and immune system, respectively. Microbial abundance and diversity did not differ significantly between males and females. The expression of several host genes on the X chromosome correlated negatively with disease severity. In this way, our analyses identify host genes whose differential expression could aid in the diagnosis of COVID-19 and prediction of its severity via non-invasive assay.

Abstract Hepatic fibrosis is a spontaneous wound-healing response triggered by chronic liver injury. Pien Tze Huang (PZH), a traditional Chinese herbal medicine, has been widely used to treat various hepatic diseases in Asia. We used a CCl4-induced mouse model to establish a PZH group of hepatic fibrosis mice treated with PZH and a control group of hepatic fibrosis mice without any treatment. We performed RNA-seq and mass spectrometry sequencing to investigate the mechanism of the PZH response in hepatic fibrosis and identified multiple differentially expressed transcripts (DETs) and proteins (DEPs) that may be drug targets of PZH. Digital images have become an important carrier for people to access information in the information age. However, with the development of this technology, digital images have become vulnerable to illegal access and tampering, to the extent that they pose a serious threat to personal privacy, social order, and national security. Therefore, image forensic techniques have become an important research topic in the field of multimedia information security. In recent years, deep learning technology has been widely applied in the field of image forensics and the performance achieved has significantly exceeded the conventional forensic algorithms. This survey compares the state-of-the-art image forensic techniques based on deep learning in recent years. The image forensic techniques are divided into passive and active forensics. In passive forensics, forgery detection techniques are reviewed, and the basic framework, evaluation metrics, and commonly used datasets for forgery detection are presented. The performance, advantages, and disadvantages of existing methods are also compared and analyzed according to the different types of detection. In active forensics, robust image watermarking techniques are overviewed, and the evaluation metrics and basic framework of robust watermarking techniques are presented. The technical characteristics and performance of existing methods are analyzed based on the different types of attacks on images. Finally, future research directions and conclusions are presented to provide useful suggestions for people in image forensics and related research fields.

Influenza A(H1N1)pdm09 virus has remained in a seasonal circulation since being recognized in 2009. Although it followed a mild course in most patients, in others it caused a series of severe clinical illnesses. Epidemiologic studies have implicated that host factors have a major influence on the disease severity of influenza A(H1N1)pdm09 infection. However, an understanding of relevant genetic variations and the underlying mechanisms is still limited. In this present study, we used a host-based whole genome sequencing (WGS) method to comprehensively explore the genetic risk loci associated with severity of influenza A(H1N1)pdm09 infection. From the common single-nucleotide variants (SNVs) analysis, we identified the abnormal nominally significant (P < 1 × 10−4) common SNVs enriched in PTBP3 gene. The results of rare functional SNVs analysis supported that there were several novel candidate genes might confer risk of severe influenza A(H1N1)pdm09 diseases, such as FTSJ3, CPVL, BST2, NOD2 and MAVS. Moreover, our results of gene set based analysis indicated that the HIF-1 transcription factor and IFN-γ pathway might play an important role in the underlying mechanism of severe influenza A(H1N1)pdm09. These findings will increase our knowledge about biological mechanism underlying the severe influenza A(H1N1)pdm09 and facilitate to design novel personalized treatments.

Background: Schizophrenia (SCZ) is a severe psychiatric disorder that affects approximately 0.75% of the global population. Both genetic and environmental factors contribute to development of SCZ. SCZ tends to run in family while both genetic and environmental factor contribute to its etiology. Much evidence suggested that alterations in DNA methylations occurred in SCZ patients. Methods: To investigate potential inheritable pattern of DNA methylation in SCZ family, we performed a genome-wide analysis of DNA methylation of peripheral blood samples from 106 Chinese SCZ family trios. Genome-wide DNA methylations were quantified by Agilent 1 × 244 k Human Methylation Microarray. Findings: In this study, we proposed a loci inheritance frequency model that allows characterization of differential methylated regions as SCZ biomarkers. Based on this model, 112 hypermethylated and 125 hypomethylated regions were identified. Additionally, 121 hypermethylated and 139 hypomethylated genes were annotated. The results of functional enrichment analysis indicated that multiple differentially methylated genes (DMGs) involved in Notch/HH/Wnt signaling, MAPK signaling, GPCR signaling, immune response signaling. Notably, a number of hypomethylated genes were significantly enriched in cerebral cortex and functionally enriched in nervous system development. Interpretation: Our findings not only validated previously discovered risk genes of SCZ but also identified novel candidate DMGs in SCZ. These results may further the understanding of altered DNA methylations in SCZ. Funding: None.

Abstract. Schizophrenia is a life-long, complex mental illness that still lacks satisfactory treatments. In recent years, increasing numbers of candidate biomarkers of schizophrenia occurrences and drug responses to schizophrenia therapies have been successfully identified by many omics studies. This review discusses the latest discoveries regarding effective drug targets and relevant drug classifications in schizophrenia. It also assesses our understanding of biomarkers for drug efficacy and adverse drug reactions in current schizophrenia treatments using omics technologies. Future applications in clinical practice have been proposed based on these new findings, and are now considered highly promising strategies to better treat schizophrenia. Finally, we explore several novel approaches that aim to reveal additional genetic signatures of schizophrenia using multi-omics data, which are hoped to improve the diagnosis and treatment of this illness in the future.

Existing studies have attempted to explain the transformation of rural China from a single productive or post-productive perspective. However, regarding the two development paradigms as binary opposites brings contradictions: Is China’s countryside evolving towards productivism or post-productivism? To answer this question, we transcend the binary opposition and instead propose an analytical framework based on rural value, driving actors, and rural land-use functions. Based on the location quotient analysis method, we measure the functional hybridity of rural areas using 7345 POIs (points of interest) representing the land-use types of productive and post-productive activities. We discuss the formation mechanism of functional hybridity considering two typical spaces: modern agriculture demonstration districts and “Tesecun”. We find that the government, the market, and villagers collectively promote the formation of functional hybridity in rural China. The government prefers to strengthen productivity in order to ensure state food security, while villagers prefer to make their villages more multi-functional in order to attract citizens. This study can be seen as a contribution supplementing research issues associated with rural China from the novel dualistic perspective of productivism and post-productivism.

Summary: Schizophrenia (SCZ) is a severe neuropsychiatric disorder that affects 1% of the global population. Copy number variations (CNVs) have been shown to play a critical role in its pathophysiology; however, only case-control studies on SCZ susceptibility CNVs have been conducted in Han Chinese. Here, we performed an array comparative genomic hybridization-based genome-wide CNV analysis in 100 Chinese family trios with SCZ. Burden test suggested that the SCZ probands carried more duplications than their healthy parents and unrelated healthy controls. Besides, five CNV loci were firstly reported to be associated with SCZ here, including both unbalanced transmitted CNVs and enriched de novo CNVs. Moreover, two genes (CTDSPL and MGAM) in these CNVs showed significant SCZ relevance in the expression level. Our findings support the crucial role of CNVs in the etiology of SCZ and provide new insights into the underlying mechanism of SCZ pathogenesis.

Q fever is a worldwide zoonosis caused by Coxiella burnetii (Cb). From January 2018 to November 2019, plasma samples from 2,382 patients with acute fever of unknown cause at a hospital in Zhuhai city of China were tested using metagenomic next-generation sequencing (mNGS). Of those tested, 138 patients (5.8%) were diagnosed with Q fever based on the presence of Cb genomic DNA detected by mNGS. Among these, 78 cases (56.5%) presented from Nov 2018 to Mar 2019, suggesting an outbreak of Q fever. 55 cases with detailed clinical information that occurred during the outbreak period were used for further analysis. The vast majority of plasma samples from those Cb-mNGS-positive patients were positive in a Cb-specific quantitative polymerase chain reaction (n = 38) and/or indirect immunofluorescence assay (n = 26). Mobile phone tracing data was used to define the area of infection during the outbreak. This suggested the probable infection source was Cb-infected goats and cattle at the only official authorized slaughterhouse in Zhuhai city. Phylogenic analysis based on genomic sequences indicated Cb strains identified in the patients, goat and cattle were formed a single branch, most closely related to the genomic group of Cb dominated by strains isolated from goats. Our study demonstrates Q fever was epidemic in 2018-2019 in Zhuhai city, and this is the first confirmed epidemic of Q fever in a contemporary city in China.

Backgrounds Cytochrome P450 (P450) 2E1 is one of the primary enzymes responsible for the metabolism of xenobiotics, such as drugs and environmental carcinogens. The genetic polymorphisms of the CYP2E1 gene in promoter and coding regions have been identified previously in the Han Chinese population from four different geographic areas of Mainland China. Methods To investigate whether genetic variants identified in the CYP2E1 coding region affect enzyme function, the enzymes of four single nucleotide polymorphism (SNP) variants in the coding region (novel c.1009C>T, causing p.Arg337X, where X represents the translational stop codon; c.227G>A, causing p.Arg76His; c.517G>A, yielding p.Gly173Ser; and c.1263C>T, presenting the highest allele frequency), two novel alleles (c.[227G>A;1263C>T] and c.[517G>A;1263C>T]), and the wild-type CYP2E1 were heterologously expressed in COS-7 cells and functionally characterized in terms of expression level and chlorzoxazone 6-hydroxylation activity. The impact of the CYP2E1 variant sequence on enzyme activity was predicted with three programs: Polyphen 2, PROVEAN and SIFT. Results The prematurely terminated p.Arg337X variant enzyme was undetectable by western blotting and inactive toward chlorzoxazone 6-hydroxylation. The c.1263C>T and c.[517G>A;1263C>T] variant enzymes exhibited properties similar to those of the wild-type CYP2E1. The CYP2E1 variants c.227G>A and c.[227G>A;1263C>T] displayed significantly reduced enzyme activity relative to that of the wild-type enzyme (decreased by 42.8% and 32.8%, respectively; P A transfectant was increased by 31% compared with the wild-type CYP2E1 enzyme (P T (p.Arg337X), c.227G>A (p.Arg76His), and c.517G>A (p.Gly173Ser), could influence the metabolism of CYP2E1 substrates, such as chlorzoxazone.

Location Fingerprinting (LF) is a promising localization technique that enables enormous commercial and industrial Location-Based Services (LBS). Existing approaches either appeal to the simple Received Signal Strength (RSS), which suffers from dramatic performance degradation due to sophisticated environmental dynamics, or rely on the fine-grained physical layer Channel State Information (CSI), whose intricate structure leads to an increased computational complexity. In this paper, we adopt Autoregressive (AR) modeling based entropy of CSI amplitude as location fingerprint, which shares the structural simplicity of RSS while exploiting the most location-specific statistical channel information. On this basis, we design EntLoc, a CSI-based probabilistic indoor localization system using commercial off-the-shelf Wi-Fi devices. EntLoc is deployed in an office building covering over 200 m2. Extensive indoor scenario experiments corroborate that our proposed system yields superior localization accuracy over previous approaches even with only one signal transmitter.

Pemetrexed, one of the most commonly used drugs in advanced non–small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) therapies, often leads to various therapeutic responses in patients. These therapeutic responses to pemetrexed, including adverse drug reactions (ADRs) and its intended therapeutic effects, have been demonstrated to be highly individual-specific. Such difference in therapeutic responses across individuals may be caused by the unique genetic variations in each patient. However, only a few pemetrexed-based studies have been performed using Han Chinese patients. In this study, we aimed to identify genetic signatures of therapeutic responses of pemetrexed-based treatment using 203 Han Chinese patients with advanced NSCLC. All the participants received two different types of therapies: 1) treatment with only pemetrexed and 2) treatment with both pemetrexed and platinum (mainly cisplatin and carboplatin). We then performed a genetic association analysis on 16 selected single-nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) in 7 genes using these 2 groups. The analysis of patients receiving only pemetrexed suggests that the SNP rs1051298 on the SLC19A1 gene (c.*746C > T) increased the risk of all ADRs (collected all types of ADRs) in different cycles of pemetrexed therapy [1-2 cycles: P = 0.0059, odds ratio (OR) = 3.143; 1-4 cycles: P = 0.0072, OR = 2.340; 1-6 cycles: P = 0.0071, OR = 2.243]. This influence of rs1051298 is particularly significant in terms of liver injury (1-4 cycles: P = 0.0056, OR = 3.863; 1-6 cycles: P = 0.0071, OR = 3.466). In all the patients, including patients who received both pemetrexed and platinum, SNP rs1801133 on the MTHFR gene (665C > T) was found to be significantly associated with hematological ADRs in 1 to 2 cycles (P = 0.0079, OR = 3.566). Additionally, we discovered that SNP rs12995526 (c.815-102T > C) in the ATIC gene and SNP rs11545077 (c.91G > T) in the GGH gene were associated with both ADRs and therapeutic effects. In summary, our study identified several potential biomarkers that were significantly associated with ADRs and therapeutic effects of pemetrexed-related treatments using Han Chinese patients. Our discoveries will provide important clues for personalized pemetrexed-based treatment design for Han Chinese NSCLC patients in the future.

Olanzapine, a second-generation antipsychotic medication, plays a critical role in current treatment of schizophrenia (SCZ). It has been observed that the olanzapine responses in schizophrenia treatment are different across individuals. However, prediction of this individual-specific olanzapine response requires in-depth knowledge of biomarkers of drug response. Here, we performed an integrative investigation on 238 Han Chinese SCZ patients to identify predictive biomarkers that were associated with the efficacy of olanzapine treatment. This study applied HaloPlex technology to sequence 143 genes from 79 Han Chinese SCZ patients. Our result suggested that there were 12 single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) had significant association with olanzapine response in Han Chinese SCZ patients. Using MassARRAY platform, we tested that if these 12 SNPs were also statistically significant in 159 other SCZ patients (independent cohort) and the combined 238 SCZ patients (composed of two tested cohorts). The result of this analysis showed that 2 SNPs were significantly associated with the olanzapine response in both independent cohorts (rs324026, P = 0.023; rs12610827, P = 0.043) and combined SCZ patient population (rs324026, adjust P = 0.014; rs12610827, adjust P = 0.012). Our study provides systematic analyses of genetic variants associated with olanzapine responses of Han Chinese SCZ patients. The discovery of these novel biomarkers of olanzapine-response will facilitate to advance future olanzapine treatment specific for Han Chinese SCZ patients.
