Bernal-stacked bilayer graphene (BLG) provides an ideal basis for gate-controlled, and free of etching, electronic devices. Theoretical modeling of realistic devices is an essential part of research, however, simulations of large-scale BLG devices continue to be extremely challenging. Micrometer-sized systems are predominantly beyond the reach of the commonly used atomistic tight-binding method, while other numerical approaches based on the two dimensional Dirac equation are not straightforward to conduct due to the fermion doubling problem. Here we present an approach based on the continuum model, unharmed by the fermion doubling. The discretization of the BLG continuum Hamiltonian leads to an effective four-band model, with both valleys built-in. We demonstrate its performance with realistic, large-scale systems, and obtain results consistent with experiments and with the tight-binding model, over a broad range of magnetic field., Comment: 8 pages, 4 figures

Graphene-based van der Waals heterostructures take advantage of tailoring spin-orbit coupling (SOC) in the graphene layer by proximity effect. At long-wavelength -- saddled by the electronic states near the Dirac points -- the proximitized features can be effectively modelled by the Hamiltonian involving novel SOC terms and allow for an admixture of the tangential and radial spin textures -- by the so-called Rashba angle $\theta_{\text{R}}$. Taking such effective models we perform realistic large-scale magneto-transport calculations -- transverse magnetic focusing and Dyakonov-Perel spin relaxation -- and show that there are unique qualitative and quantitative features allowing for an unbiased experimental disentanglement of the conventional Rashba SOC from its novel radial counterpart, called here the radial Rashba SOC. Along with that, we propose a scheme for a direct estimation of the Rashba angle by exploring the magneto-response symmetries when swapping an in-plane magnetic field. We report the observation of the terahertz-induced ratchet effect in graphene-based two-dimensional (2D) metamaterials. The metamaterial consists of a graphite gate patterned with an array of triangular antidots placed under a graphene monolayer. We show that the ratchet current appears due to the noncentrosymmetry of the periodic structure unit cell. The ratchet current is generated owing to the combined action of a spatially periodic in-plane electrostatic potential and a periodically modulated radiation electric field caused by near-field diffraction. The magnitude and direction of the ratchet current are shown to be controlled by voltages applied to both back and patterned gates, which change the lateral asymmetry, carrier type and density. The phenomenological and microscopic theories of ratchet effects in graphene-based 2D metamaterials are developed. The experimental data are discussed in the light of the theory based on the solution of the Boltzmann kinetic equation and the calculated electrostatic potential profile. The theory describes well all the experimental results and shows that the observed ratchet current consists of the Seebeck thermoratchet contribution as well as the linear contribution, which is sensitive to the orientation of the radiation electric field vector with respect to the triangles., Comment: 14 pages, 13 figures

Electron doping is an excellent tuning knob to explore different phases of matter in two-dimensional (2D) materials. For example, tuning the Fermi level at a van Hove singularity in twisted bilayer graphene can enhance electron-electron interactions and induce a diverse range of correlated phases. Here, using a single-particle picture, we study the electronic reconstruction of the band edges of a 2D semiconductor, monolayer MoS2, on a hexagonal moire potential induced by another MoS2 monolayer. We find that such system transitions from a honeycomb to a hexagonal symmetry when the Fermi level is tuned from the conduction to the valence side. We also study the system under magnetic fields, and construct the Hofstadter's butterfly in the electron- and hole-doped side. Our findings are confirmed by simulating the conductance across a large-scale two-terminal device. We conclude that this duality is a general property that MoS2 and other transition-metal-dichalcogenides exhibit under non-symmetric superlattice potentials., Comment: 13 pages, 6 figures

In the last decade, graphene has become an exciting platform for electron optical experiments, in many aspects superior to conventional two-dimensional electron gases (2DEGs). A major advantage, besides the ultra-large mobilities, is the fine control over the electrostatics, which gives the possibility of realising gap-less and compact p-n interfaces with high precision. The latter host non-trivial states, \eg, snake states in moderate magnetic fields, and serve as building blocks of complex electron interferometers. Thanks to the Dirac spectrum and its non-trivial Berry phase, the internal (valley and sublattice) degrees of freedom, and the possibility to tailor the band structure using proximity effects, such interferometers open up a completely new playground based on novel device architectures. In this review, we introduce the theoretical background of graphene electron optics, fabrication methods used to realise electron-optical devices, and techniques for corresponding numerical simulations. Based on this, we give a comprehensive review of ballistic transport experiments and simple building blocks of electron optical devices both in single and bilayer graphene, highlighting the novel physics that is brought in compared to conventional 2DEGs. After describing the different magnetic field regimes in graphene p-n junctions and nanostructures, we conclude by discussing the state of the art in graphene-based Mach-Zender and Fabry-Perot interferometers., Comment: The authors welcome any comments regarding the content of the review

The presence of periodic modulation in graphene leads to a reconstruction of the band structure and formation of minibands. In an external uniform magnetic field, a fractal energy spectrum called Hofstadter butterfly is formed. Particularly interesting in this regard are superlattices with tunable modulation strength, such as electrostatically induced ones in graphene. We perform quantum transport modeling in gate-induced square two-dimensional superlattice in graphene and investigate the relation to the details of the band structure. At low magnetic field the dynamics of carriers reflects the semi-classical orbits which depend on the mini band structure. We theoretically model transverse magnetic focusing, a ballistic transport technique by means of which we investigate the minibands, their extent and carrier type. We find a good agreement between the focusing spectra and the mini band structures obtained from the continuum model, proving usefulness of this technique. %positions of van Hove singularities at high magnetic field the calculated four-probe resistance fit the Hofstadter butterfly spectrum obtained for our superlattice. Van der Waals interactions with transition metal dichalcogenides was shown to induce strong spin-orbit coupling (SOC) in graphene, offering great promises to combine large experimental flexibility of graphene with unique tuning capabilities of the SOC that can rotate spin by moving electrons or vice versa. Here, we probe SOC-driven band splitting and electron dynamics in graphene on WSe$_2$ by measuring ballistic transverse magnetic focusing. We found a clear splitting in the first focusing peak whose evolution in charge density and magnetic field is well reproduced by calculations using SOC strength of ~13 meV and no splitting in the second peak that indicates stronger Rashba SOC. A possible suppression of electron-electron scatterings was also found in temperature dependence measurement. Further, we found that Shubnikov-de Haas oscillations exhibit SOC strength of ~3.4 meV, suggesting that it probes different electron dynamics, calling for new theory. Graphene with its dispersion relation resembling that of photons offers ample opportunities for applications in electron optics. The spacial variation of carrier density by external gates can be used to create electron waveguides, in analogy to optical fiber, with additional confinement of the carriers in bipolar junctions leading to the formation of few transverse guiding modes. We show that waveguides created by gating graphene with carbon nanotubes (CNTs) allow obtaining sharp conductance plateaus, and propose applications in the Aharonov-Bohm and two-path interferometers, and a pointlike source for injection of carriers in graphene. Other applications can be extended to Bernal-stacked or twisted bilayer graphene or two-dimensional electron gas. Large-angle twisted bilayer graphene (tBLG) is known to be electronically decoupled due to the spatial separation of the Dirac cones corresponding to individual graphene layers in the reciprocal space. The close spacing between the layers causes strong capacitive coupling, opening possibilities for applications in atomically thin devices. Here, we present a self-consistent quantum capacitance model for the electrostatics of decoupled graphene layers, and further generalize it to deal with decoupled tBLG at finite magnetic field and large-angle twisted double bilayer graphene at zero magnetic field. We probe the capacitive coupling through the conductance, showing good agreement between simulations and experiments for all the systems considered. We also propose a new experiment utilizing the decoupling effect to induce a huge and tunable bandgap in bilayer graphene by applying a moderately low bias. High-mobility graphene hosting massless charge carriers with linear dispersion provides a promising platform for electron optics phenomena. Inspired by the physics of dielectric optical micro-cavities where the photon emission characteristics can be efficiently tuned via the cavity shape, we study corresponding mechanisms for trapped Dirac fermionic resonant states in deformed micro-disk graphene billiards and directed emission from those. In such graphene devices a back-gate voltage provides an additional tunable parameter to mimic different effective refractive indices and thereby the corresponding Fresnel laws at the boundaries. Moreover, cavities based on single-layer and double-layer graphene exhibit Klein- and anti-Klein tunneling, respectively, leading to distinct differences with respect to dwell times and resulting emission profiles of the cavity states. Moreover, we find a variety of different emission characteristics depending on the position of the source where charge carriers are fed into the cavites. Combining quantum mechanical simulations with optical ray tracing and a corresponding phase-space analysis, we demonstrate strong confinement of the emitted charge carriers in the mid field of single-layer graphene systems and can relate this to a lensing effect. For bilayer graphene, trapping of the resonant states is more efficient and the emission characteristics do less depend on the source position., Comment: 12 pages, 12 figures

We report an efficient technique to induce gate-tunable two-dimensional superlattices in graphene by the combined action of a back gate and a few-layer graphene patterned bottom gate complementary to existing methods. The patterned gates in our approach can be easily fabricated and implemented in van der Waals stacking procedures allowing flexible use of superlattices with arbitrary geometry. In transport measurements on a superlattice with lattice constant $a=40$ nm well pronounced satellite Dirac points and signatures of the Hofstadter butterfly including a non-monotonic quantum Hall response are observed. Furthermore, the experimental results are accurately reproduced in transport simulations and show good agreement with features in the calculated band structure. Overall, we present a comprehensive picture of graphene-based superlattices, featuring a broad range of miniband effects, both in experiment and in theoretical modeling. One-dimensional (1D) graphene superlattices have been predicted to exhibit zero-energy modes a decade ago, but an experimental proof has remained missing. Motivated by a recent experiment that could possibly shed light on this, here we perform quantum transport simulations for 1D graphene superlattices, considering electrostatically simulated potential profiles as realistic as possible. Combined with the analysis on the corresponding miniband structures, we find that the zero modes generated by the 1D superlattice potential can be further cloned to higher energies, which are also accessible by tuning the average density. Our multiterminal transverse magnetic focusing simulations further reveal the modulation-controllable ballistic miniband transport for 1D graphene superlattices. A simple idea for creating a perfectly symmetric periodic potential with strong modulation is proposed at the end of this work, generating well aligned zero modes up to 6 within a reasonable gate strength., Comment: 5 pages with 4 figures for the main paper; supplementary material of 4 pages with 4 figures included

We study transport in twisted bilayer graphene and show that electrostatic barriers can act as valley splitters, where electrons from the $K$ ($K'$) valley are transmitted only to e.g.\ the top (bottom) layer, leading to valley-layer locked currents. We show that such a valley splitter is obtained when the barrier varies slowly on the moir\'e scale and induces a Lifshitz transition across the junction, i.e.\ a change in the Fermi surface topology. Furthermore, we show that for a given valley the reflected and transmitted current are transversely deflected, as time-reversal symmetry is effectively broken in each valley separately, resulting in valley-selective transverse focusing at zero magnetic field., Comment: 13 pages, 13 figures

A scalable tight-binding model is applied for large-scale quantum transport calculations in clean graphene subject to electrostatic superlattice potentials, including two types of graphene superlattices: moir\'e patterns due to the stacking of graphene and hexagonal boron nitride (hBN) lattices, and gate-controllable superlattices using a spatially modulated gate capacitance. In the case of graphene/hBN moir\'e superlattices, consistency between our transport simulation and experiment is satisfactory at zero and low magnetic field, but breaks down at high magnetic field due to the adopted simple model Hamiltonian that does not comprise higher-order terms of effective vector potential and Dirac mass terms. In the case of gate-controllable superlattices, no higher-order terms are involved, and the simulations are expected to be numerically exact. Revisiting a recent experiment on graphene subject to a gated square superlattice with periodicity of 35 nm, our simulations show excellent agreement, revealing the emergence of multiple extra Dirac cones at stronger superlattice modulation., Comment: 9 pages, 6 figures

The van-der-Waals stacking technique enables the fabrication of heterostructures, where two conducting layers are atomically close. In this case, the finite layer thickness matters for the interlayer electrostatic coupling. Here we investigate the electrostatic coupling of two graphene layers, twisted by 22 degrees such that the layers are decoupled by the huge momentum mismatch between the K and K' points of the two layers. We observe a splitting of the zero-density lines of the two layers with increasing interlayer energy difference. This splitting is given by the ratio of single-layer quantum capacitance over interlayer capacitance C and is therefore suited to extract C. We explain the large observed value of C by considering the finite dielectric thickness d of each graphene layer and determine d=2.6 Angstrom. In a second experiment we map out the entire density range with a Fabry-P\'erot resonator. We can precisely measure the Fermi-wavelength in each layer, showing that the layers are decoupled. We find that the Fermi wavelength exceeds 600nm at the lowest densities and can differ by an order of magnitude between the upper and lower layer. These findings are reproduced using tight-binding calculations.

We investigate the quality of hydrogen plasma defined graphene edges by Raman spectroscopy, atomic resolution AFM and low temperature electronic transport measurements. The exposure of graphite samples to a remote hydrogen plasma leads to the formation of hexagonal shaped etch pits, reflecting the anisotropy of the etch. Atomic resolution AFM reveals that the sides of these hexagons are oriented along the zigzag direction of the graphite crystal lattice and the absence of the D-peak in the Raman spectrum indicates that the edges are high quality zigzag edges. In a second step of the experiment, we investigate hexagon edges created in single layer graphene on hexagonal boron nitride and find a substantial D-peak intensity. Polarization dependent Raman measurements reveal that hydrogen plasma defined edges consist of a mixture of zigzag and armchair segments. Furthermore, electronic transport measurements were performed on hydrogen plasma defined graphene nanoribbons which indicate a high quality of the bulk but a relatively low edge quality, in agreement with the Raman data. These findings are supported by tight-binding transport simulations. Hence, further optimization of the hydrogen plasma etching technique is required to obtain pure crystalline graphene edges., Comment: 10 pages, 7 figures

The specific rotational alignment of two-dimensional lattices results in a moir\'e superlattice with a larger period than the original lattices and allows one to engineer the electronic band structure of such materials. So far, transport signatures of such superlattices have been reported for graphene/hBN and graphene/graphene systems. Here we report moir\'e superlattices in fully hBN encapsulated graphene with both the top and the bottom hBN aligned to the graphene. In the graphene, two different moir\'e superlattices form with the top and the bottom hBN, respectively. The overlay of the two superlattices can result in a third superlattice with a period larger than the maximum period (14 nm) in the graphene/hBN system, which we explain in a simple model. This new type of band structure engineering allows one to artificially create an even wider spectrum of electronic properties in two-dimensional materials.

Snake states and Aharonov-Bohm interferences are examples of magnetoconductance oscillations that can be observed in a graphene p-n junction. Even though they have already been reported in suspended and encapsulated devices including different geometries, a direct comparison remains challenging as they were observed in separate measurements. Due to the similar experimental signatures of these effects a consistent assignment is difficult, leaving us with an incomplete picture. Here we present measurements on p-n junctions in encapsulated graphene revealing several sets of magnetoconductance oscillations allowing for their direct comparison. We analysed them with respect to their charge carrier density, magnetic field, temperature and bias dependence in order to assign them to either snake states or Aharonov-Bohm oscillations. Furthermore we were able to consistently assign the various Aharonov-Bohm interferences to the corresponding area which the edge states enclose. We explore a network of electronic quantum valley Hall (QVH) states in the moir\'e crystal of minimally twisted bilayer graphene. In our transport measurements we observe Fabry-P\'erot and Aharanov-Bohm oscillations which are robust in magnetic fields ranging from 0 to 8T, in strong contrast to more conventional 2D systems where trajectories in the bulk are bent by the Lorentz force. This persistence in magnetic field and the linear spacing in density indicate that charge carriers in the bulk flow in topologically protected, one dimensional channels. With this work we demonstrate coherent electronic transport in a lattice of topologically protected states.

We report the experimental observation of commensurability oscillations (COs) in 1D graphene superlattices. The widely tunable periodic potential modulation in hBN encapsulated graphene is generated via the interplay of nanopatterned few layer graphene acting as a local bottom gate and a global Si back gate. The longitudinal magneto-resistance shows pronounced COs, when the sample is tuned into the unipolar transport regime. We observe up to six CO minima, providing evidence for a long mean free path despite the potential modulation. Comparison to existing theories shows that small angle scattering is dominant in hBN/graphene/hBN heterostructures. We observe robust COs persisting to temperature exceeding $T=150$ K. At high magnetic fields the conductance of graphene is governed by the half-integer quantum Hall effect. By local electrostatic gating a \textit{p-n} junction perpendicular to the graphene edges can be formed, along which quantum Hall channels co-propagate. It has been predicted by Tworzid\l{}o and co-workers that if only the lowest Landau level is filled on both sides of the junction, the conductance is determined by the valley (isospin) polarization at the edges and by the width of the flake. This effect remained hidden so far due to scattering between the channels co-propagating along the \textit{p-n} interface (equilibration). Here we investigate \textit{p-n} junctions in encapsulated graphene with a movable \textit{p-n} interface with which we are able to probe the edge-configuration of graphene flakes. We observe large quantum conductance oscillations on the order of \si{e^2/h} which solely depend on the \textit{p-n} junction position providing the first signature of isospin-defined conductance. Nanowires with helical surface states represent key prerequisites for observing and exploiting phase-coherent topological conductance phenomena, such as spin-momentum locked quantum transport or topological superconductivity. We demonstrate in a joint experimental and theoretical study that gated nanowires fabricated from high-mobility strained HgTe, known as a bulk topological insulator, indeed preserve the topological nature of the surface states, that moreover extend phase-coherently across the entire wire geometry. The phase-coherence lengths are enhanced up to 5 $\mu$m when tuning the wires into the bulk gap, so as to single out topological transport. The nanowires exhibit distinct conductance oscillations, both as a function of the flux due to an axial magnetic field, and of a gate voltage. The observed $h/e$-periodic Aharonov-Bohm-type modulations indicate surface-mediated quasi-ballistic transport. Furthermore, an in-depth analysis of the scaling of the observed gate-dependent conductance oscillations reveals the topological nature of these surface states. To this end we combined numerical tight-binding calculations of the quantum magneto-conductance with simulations of the electrostatics, accounting for the gate-induced inhomogenous charge carrier densities around the wires. We find that helical transport prevails even for strongly inhomogenous gating and is governed by flux-sensitive high-angular momentum surface states that extend around the entire wire circumference., Comment: 12 pages, 11 figures

We show that in gapped bilayer graphene, quasiparticle tunneling and the corresponding Berry phase can be controlled such that it exhibits features of single layer graphene such as Klein tunneling. The Berry phase is detected by a high-quality Fabry-P\'{e}rot interferometer based on bilayer graphene. By raising the Fermi energy of the charge carriers, we find that the Berry phase can be continuously tuned from $2\pi$ down to $0.68\pi$ in gapped bilayer graphene, in contrast to the constant Berry phase of $2\pi$ in pristine bilayer graphene. Particularly, we observe a Berry phase of $\pi$, the standard value for single layer graphene. As the Berry phase decreases, the corresponding transmission probability of charge carriers at normal incidence clearly demonstrates a transition from anti-Klein tunneling to nearly perfect Klein tunneling., Comment: 19 pages, 12 figures

We introduce a method of local gating for van der Waals heterostructures, employing a few-layer graphene patterned bottom gate. Being a member of the 2D material family, few-layer graphene adapts perfectly to the commonly used stacking method. Its versatility regarding patterning as well as its flatness make it an ideal candidate for experiments on locally gated 2D materials. Moreover, in combination with ultra-thin hexagonal boron nitride as an insulating layer, sharp potential steps can be created and the quality of the investigated 2D material can be sustained. To underline the good feasibility and performance, we show results on transport experiments in periodically modulated graphene- boron nitride heterostructures, where the charge carrier density is tuned via locally acting patterned few layer graphene bottom gates and a global back gate.

While Fabry-P\'erot resonances and Moir\'e superlattices are intensively studied in graphene on hexagonal boron nitride (hBN), the two effects have not been discussed in their coexistence. Here we investigate the FP oscillations in a ballistic pnp-junctions in the presence and absence of a Moir\'e superlattice. First, we address the effect of the smoothness of the confining potential on the visibility of the FP resonances and carefully map the evolution of the FP cavity size as a function of densities in and outside the cavity in the absence of a superlattice, when the cavity is bound by regular pn-junctions. Using a sample with a Moir\'e superlattice, we next show that a FP cavity can also be formed by interfaces that mimic a pn-junction, but are defined through a satellite Dirac point due to the superlattice. We carefully analyse the FP resonances, which can provide insight into the band-reconstruction due to the superlattice.

We report on the observation of magnetoresistance oscillations in graphene p-n junctions. The oscillations have been observed for six samples, consisting of single-layer and bilayer graphene, and persist up to temperatures of 30 K, where standard Shubnikov-de Haas oscillations are no longer discernible. The oscillatory magnetoresistance can be reproduced by tight-binding simulations. We attribute this phenomenon to the modulated densities of states in the n- and p- regions.

We put forward a concept to create highly collimated, non-dispersive electron beams in pseudo-relativistic Dirac materials such as graphene or topological insulator surfaces. Combining negative refraction and Klein collimation at a parabolic pn junction, the proposed lens generates beams, as narrow as the focal length, that stay focused over scales of several microns and can be steered by a magnetic field without losing collimation. We demonstrate the lens capabilities by applying it to two paradigmatic settings of graphene electron optics: We propose a setup for observing high-resolution angle-dependent Klein tunneling, and, exploiting the intimate quantum-to-classical correspondence of these focused electron waves, we consider high-fidelity transverse magnetic focusing accompanied by simulations for current mapping through scanning gate microscopy. The formation of quantum Hall channels inside the bulk of graphene is studied using various contact and gate geometries. p-n junctions are created along the longitudinal direction of samples, and enhanced conductance is observed in the case of bipolar doping due to new conducting channels forming in the bulk, whose position, propagating direction and, in one geometry, coupling to electrodes are determined by the gate-controlled filling factor across the device. This effect could be exploited to probe the behavior and interaction of quantum Hall channels protected against uncontrolled scattering at the edges.

We present a beam splitter in a suspended, ballistic, multiterminal, bilayer graphene device. By using local bottomgates, a p-n interface tilted with respect to the current direction can be formed. We show that the p-n interface acts as a semi-transparent mirror in the bipolar regime and that the reflectance and transmittance of the p-n interface can be tuned by the gate voltages. Moreover, by studying the conductance features appearing in magnetic field, we demonstrate that the position of the p-n interface can be moved by $1\,\mu$m. Experimental and theoretical studies on ratchet effects in graphene with a lateral superlattice excited by alternating electric fields of terahertz frequency range are presented. A lateral superlatice deposited on top of monolayer graphene is formed either by periodically repeated metal stripes having different widths and spacings or by inter-digitated comb-like dual-grating-gate (DGG) structures. We show that the ratchet photocurrent excited by terahertz radiation and sensitive to the radiation polarization state can be efficiently controlled by the back gate driving the system through the Dirac point as well as by the lateral asymmetry varied by applying unequal voltages to the DGG subgratings. The ratchet photocurrent includes the Seebeck thermoratchet effect as well as the effects of "linear" and "circular" ratchets, sensitive to the corresponding polarization of the driving electromagnetic force. The experimental data are analyzed for the electronic and plasmonic ratchets taking into account the calculated potential profile and the near field acting on carriers in graphene. We show that the photocurrent generation is based on a combined action of a spatially periodic in-plane potential and the spatially modulated light due to the near field effects of the light diffraction.

In graphene, the extremely fast charge carriers can be controlled by electron-optical elements, such as waveguides, in which the transmissivity is tuned by the wavelength. In this work, charge carriers are guided in a suspended ballistic few-mode graphene channel, defined by electrostatic gating. By depleting the channel, a reduction of mode number and steps in the conductance are observed, until the channel is completely emptied. Chirality is one of the key features governing the electronic properties of single- and bilayer graphene: the basics of this concept and its consequences on transport are presented in this review. By breaking the inversion symmetry, a band gap can be opened in the band structures of both systems at the K-point. This leads to interesting consequences for the pseudospin and, therefore, for the chirality. These consequences can be accessed by investigating the evolution of the Berry phase in such systems. Experimental observations of Fabry-Perot interference in a dual-gated bilayer graphene device are finally presented and are used to illustrate the role played by the band gap on the evolution of the pseudospin. Snake states are trajectories of charge carriers curving back and forth along an interface. There are two types of snake states, formed by either inverting the magnetic field direction or the charge carrier type at an interface. Whereas the former has been demonstrated in GaAs-AlGaAs heterostructures, the latter has become conceivable only with the advance of ballistic graphene where a gapless p-n interface governed by Klein tunneling can be formed. Such snake states were hidden in previous experiments due to limited sample quality. Here we report on magneto-conductance oscillations due to snake states in a ballistic suspended graphene p-n-junction which occur already at a very small magnetic field of 20mT. The visibility of 30% is enabled by Klein collimation. Our finding is firmly supported by quantum transport simulations.
