We first investigate the electrochemical dealloying effect and mechanism of a high-chromium alloy in alkaline NaNO3 solution at oxygen evolution potential. Visible‐light active heterogeneous organophotocatalysts have recently gained considerable interest in organic synthetic community. Ordered mesoporous polymers (OMPs) are highly promising as heterogeneous alternative to traditional precious metal/organic dyes‐based photocatalysts. Herein, we report the preparation of a benzothiadiazole functionalized OMPs (BT‐MPs) through a “bottom‐up” strategy. High ordered periodic porosity, large surface area, excellent stability and rational energy‐band structures guarantee the high catalytic activity of BT‐MPs. As a result, at least six conversions, e. g., the [3+2] cycloaddition of phenols with olefins, the selective oxidation of sulfides, the C‐3 thiocyanation of indole and the aminothiocyanation of β‐keto ester, could be promoted smoothly by BT‐MPs. In addition, BT‐MPs was readily recovered with well maintaining its photocatalytic activity and could be reused for at least eight times. Objective To investigate the effect of diosmetin on the proliferation, apoptosis and migration of colorectal cancer cells, and further to analyze whether its mechanism is related to the regulation of STX17-AS1/miR-383-5p axis. Methods Cell counting kit (CCK-8) assay, colony formation test, scratch healing test, flow cytometry and real-time quantitative PCR (RT-qPCR) were used to analyze the effects of diosmetin (10, 20 and 40 μmol/L) on cell viability, colony formation, scratch healing rate, apoptosis, and STX17-AS1 and miR-383-5p expression in HCT116 cells. The relative expression levels of STX17-AS1 and miR-383-5p in cancer tissues and adjacent tissues of 29 patients with colorectal cancer in our hospital were assessed using RT-qPCR. Dual luciferase reporter assay system was employed to analyze the targeting relationship between STX17-AS1 and miR-383-5p. The small interfering RNA of STX17-AS1 and miR-383-5p mimics of STX17-AS1 were transfected into HCT116 cells respectively, and the effects of STX17-AS1 inhibition or miR-383-5p overexpression on the proliferation, apoptosis and migration of HCT116 cells were also analyzed. Results Diosmetin treatment (10, 20, 40 μmol/L) significantly reduced cell viability, colony formation numbers and scratch healing rate (P < 0.05), increased cell apoptotic rate (P < 0.05), decreased STX17-AS1 expression level (P < 0.05), and increased the expression level of miR-383-5p in HCT116 cells (P < 0.05). The expression level of STX17-AS1 was significantly higher (P < 0.05), and that of miR-383-5p was significantly lower in the colorectal cancer tissues than the adjacent tissues (P < 0.05). STX17-AS1 directly bound to miR-383-5p. Inhibition of STX17-AS1 significantly reduced cell viability, colony formation numbers and scratch healing rate (P < 0.05), increased cell apoptotic rate (P < 0.05), and enhanced the miR-383-5p expression level in HCT116 cells (P < 0.05). While, miR-383-5p overexpression significantly reduced cell viability, colony formation numbers and scratch healing rate (P < 0.05), and increased cell apoptosis rate in the cells (P < 0.05). Overexpression of STX17-AS1 or inhibition of miR-383-5p significantly weakened the effect of diosmetin on the above indicators of HCT116 cells (P < 0.05). Conclusion Diosmetin inhibits the proliferation and migration of colorectal cancer cells and induces apoptosis by down-regulating the STX17-AS1/miR-383-5p axis

Carbon fibre-reinforced plastic (CFRP) composites, prized for their exceptional properties, often encounter surface quality issues during slotting due to their inherent heterogeneity. This paper tackles CFRP slotting challenges by employing multi-tooth mills in experiments with various fibre orientations and tool feed rates. In-plane scratching tests are performed under linearly varying loads; then, slotting experiments are conducted at different parameters. The scratching test results indicate that the fibre orientation and cutting angles have significant influences on forces and fracture process. The slotting experiments demonstrate that cutting forces and surface roughness Sa of the bottom slotting surface are notably affected by the fibre orientation, with disparities between up-milling and down-milling sides. Reorganising Sa data by local fibre cutting angle θ highlights consistent Sa variations between up-milling and down-milling sides for 0° ≤ θ ≤ 90°, with lower Sa on the up-milling side. However, for 90° < θ ≤ 150°, Sa variations diverge, with lower Sa on the down-milling side. Unexpectedly, Sa on the down-milling side decreases with increasing θ in this range. Additionally, the tool feed rate exerts a more pronounced influence on Sa on the up-milling side. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

RNA methylation, the most prevalent type of RNA modification, encompasses more than 60 % of all known RNA modifications. With the advancement of methylation sequencing technologies, a diverse range of biological functions associated with RNA methylation in eukaryotes has been revealed. Specifically, 5-methylcytosine (m5C) modifications have been extensively observed in various RNA molecules, including messenger RNAs (mRNAs), ribosomal RNAs (rRNAs), transfer RNAs (tRNAs), and non-coding RNAs. These m5C modifications have been shown to impact critical RNA processes, such as mRNA translation, rRNA assembly, and tRNA stability. Notably, emerging evidence suggests that m5C modifications play significant roles in the initiation and progression of human cancers. However, a comprehensive understanding of the intricate m5C networks involved in human cancers is yet to be fully realized.
