1. Quasi-two-body $B_{(s)}\to V \pi\pi$ Decays with Resonance $f_0(980)$ in PQCD Approach

Abstract

Motivated by the measurements of branching fractions of the quasi-two-body decays $B^0\to K^{*0}(f_0(980)\to )\pi^+\pi^-$ and $B^0\to \rho^0(f_0(980)\to )\pi^+\pi^-$, we study the charmless $B\to V (f_0(980)\to ) \pi^+\pi^-$ decays in the perturbative QCD approach. Supposing that $f_0(980)$ is a two-quark state and mixture of $n\bar n=(u\bar u+d\bar d)/\sqrt 2$ and $s\bar s$ with the mixing angle $\theta$, we calculate the branching fractions of these decays with the new introduced $s$-wave $\pi^+\pi^-$-pair wave function. When the mixing angle $\theta$ lies in the range $[135^{\circ}, 155^{\circ}]$, the calculated branching fractions of the $B^0\to K^{*0}f_0(980)\to K^{*0}\pi^+\pi^-$ and $B^0\to \rho^0f_0(980)\to \rho^0\pi^+\pi^-$ decays are in agreement with the experimental data. The branching fractions of other decays could be measured in the current LHCb and Belle II experiments. Considering the isospin symmetry, we also estimate the branching fractions of the quasi-two-body decays $B\to Vf_0(980)\to V\pi^0\pi^0$, which are half of those the corresponding decays $B\to Vf_0(980)\to V\pi^+\pi^-$. Moreover, the direct $CP$ asymmetries of these decays are also calculated, and some of them can be tested in the current experiments., Comment: 10 pages, 2 figures

Abstract

Examination of living populations and herbarium specimens (including type material) of Rohdea yunnanensis and R. fargesii has revealed that the two species are morphologically very distinct from each other. We therefore reinstate the independent specific status of R. yunnanensis which has been placed in synonymy with R. fargesii var. fargesii. In former species, the blade margin denticulate; bract base branched or erose; perianth lobe also erose and denticulate; fruit conical and seed reniform, hilum oblique.

Stem suberect or oblique, terete, unbranching, to 40 cm long, 3.0 cm in diameter, fleshy, apical part densely covered with foliar bases. Roots wiry, rigid, semi-woody. Cataphylls 2–3 at base of annual tuft of foliage leaves, equitant, narrowly triangular, acuminate, 5–7 cm long, 2.5–3.5 cm wide, abruptly widened at base to 6.0 cm wide. Leaf blade lorate-lanceolate, 40–95 × 3–5.5 cm, margin crisped and denticulate, apex acuminate. Peduncle erect, ca. 3.5 cm long, ca. 5 mm in diameter, distally bracteate; with one U-shaped groove and the groove margin with serration, sterile bracts on peduncle 2, lanceolate, acute; distally often longitudinally concave. Inflorescence a terminal, cylindric, spike 4–58 cm long, ca. 3.5 cm in diameter. Fertile bracts lanceolate, 7.5–1.5× 1.5–3 mm, base branched or erose. Flowers sessile on shallow pits of rachis, 8–10 mm across. Perianth broadly campanulate, yellowish green, glabrous; segments deltoid-lanceolate, 4–5 mm long, 2–3 mm wide, margin erose, caudate. Filaments not widened and adnate to perianth tube, apical part incurved, 1–2 mm long. Ovary globose, 1.5–2.0 mm in diam. Style to 1 mm; stigma 3-lobed. Berries red at maturity, conical, 8–10× 15–18 mm. Seeds reniform, 3–4.3× 5–6.6 mm, hilum oblique. Phenology:—Flowering from March to May. Initial development of fruits was observed from July to November and the fruit persistent until March of the next year. Abstract

Motivated by the measurements of branching fractions of the quasi-two-body decays $B^0\to K^{*0}(f_0(980)\to )��^+��^-$ and $B^0\to ��^0(f_0(980)\to )��^+��^-$, we study the charmless $B\to V (f_0(980)\to ) ��^+��^-$ decays in the perturbative QCD approach. Supposing that $f_0(980)$ is a two-quark state and mixture of $n\bar n=(u\bar u+d\bar d)/\sqrt 2$ and $s\bar s$ with the mixing angle $��$, we calculate the branching fractions of these decays with the new introduced $s$-wave $��^+��^-$-pair wave function. When the mixing angle $��$ lies in the range $[135^{\circ}, 155^{\circ}]$, the calculated branching fractions of the $B^0\to K^{*0}f_0(980)\to K^{*0}��^+��^-$ and $B^0\to ��^0f_0(980)\to ��^0��^+��^-$ decays are in agreement with the experimental data. The branching fractions of other decays could be measured in the current LHCb and Belle II experiments. Considering the isospin symmetry, we also estimate the branching fractions of the quasi-two-body decays $B\to Vf_0(980)\to V��^0��^0$, which are half of those the corresponding decays $B\to Vf_0(980)\to V��^+��^-$. Moreover, the direct $CP$ asymmetries of these decays are also calculated, and some of them can be tested in the current experiments., 10 pages, 2 figures

21. [Intervention effect of injury control orthopedic strategy on fat embolism syndrome associated with long shaft fracture of lower limb].

Abstract

Objective: To observe the intervention effect of damage control orthopaedic(DCO) strategy on fat embolism syndrome(FES) associated with long shaft fracture of lower limbs., Methods: Retrospective analysis was made on the clinical data of 163 patients with FES associated with lower limb long shaft fractures admitted from January 2015 to May 2021. They were divided into two groups based on the time point of implementing DCO strategy in January 2018. Total of 92 patients were admitted from January 2015 to December 2017 as the control group, and other 71 patients were admitted from January 2018 to May 2021 as the intervention group. The hospital mortality, arterial oxygen saturation (SaO 2 ), arterial partial pressure of oxygen (PaO 2 ) and oxygenation index (OI), hemoglobin (Hb), platelet count(PLT), Harris score of hip joint, HSS score of knee joint, AOFAS score of ankle joint, clinical efficacy and complications were observed and compared between two groups., Results: Total of 163 patients were followed up for 12 to 18 months with an average of (16.91±1.22) months. The in-hospital mortality rate in the intervention group was 2.82% (2/71), and that in the control group was 16.30% (15/92), the difference between two groups was statistically significant(χ 2 =6.455, P <0.05). After the intervention, SaO 2 , PaO 2 and OI in two groups were higher than those before the intervention( P <0.05), and after the intervention, SaO 2 , PaO 2 and OI in two groups were statistically significant( P <0.05). Hb and PLT in two groups after intervention were higher than those before intervention ( P <0.001), and there was statistically significant difference in Hb and PLT between two groups after intervention ( P <0.05). The Harris score of hip joint, HSS score of knee joint and AOFAS score of ankle joint in both groups after 3 months of treatment were better than those before treatment ( P <0.05). The total clinical effective rate of the intervention group was higher than that of the control group(χ 2 =4.194, P <0.05). The total incidence of complications in the intervention group was lower than that in the control group(χ 2 =4.747, P <0.05)., Conclusion: DCO strategy is helpful to reduce the in-hospital mortality of patients with FES associated with long shaft fracture of lower extremities, eliminate FES symptoms and stabilize vital signs, gain time advantage for phase Ⅱ definitive surgery, and has significant clinical intervention effect, which is worth popularizing.
