CAPES Os serviços ecossistêmicos são o conjunto de diversas funções ecológicas essenciais ao bem-estar humano. Neste contexto, essa tese está estruturada, em três capítulos que buscam identificar como o serviço de polinização e seus benefícios econômicos estão sendo globalmente mensurados e publicados; calculam o valor econômico da polinização na agricultura brasileira, quais fatores influenciam esse valor, além de identificar áreas de maior vulnerabilidade ao declínio de polinizadores animais; e no terceiro capitulo tratamos da contribuição nutricional dos polinizadores á dieta humana, através da comparação entre composição e concentração de nutrientes em culturas dependentes não dependentes de polinizadores. No primeiro capítulo examinamos como a avaliação econômica dos serviços de polinização de culturas foi investigada na literatura e analisamos as estimativas dos valores monetários dos serviços de polinização agrícola, bem como os investimentos (financiamento/subsídios à pesquisa) e ações políticas associadas a polinizadores e polinização. Documentamos um aumento no número de estudos de avaliação econômica de serviços de polinização nas últimas duas décadas, com um crescimento substancial nos últimos cinco anos. Enfatizamos que há uma acentuada falta de dados sobre culturas comerciais importantes, principalmente nos países em desenvolvimento. Demonstramos e atualizamos os valores globais estimados do serviço de polinização agrícola, mostrando uma tendência crescente ao longo do tempo nos valores das estimativas de serviço de polinização, embora as estimativas para culturas específicas sejam amplamente variáveis nas escalas local e regional. Embora a avaliação dos serviços de polinização e a economia e a política associadas continuem sendo áreas embrionárias de pesquisa, a polinização mediada por animais é claramente um serviço ambiental de alto valor, que fortalece bastante os argumentos de conservação em todo o mundo. No segundo capítulo tentamos acessar a importância dos polinizadores na produção de frutas e, consequentemente, o ganho econômico de produções para diversas culturas frutíferas em escala local e regional em todo o domínio da floresta atlântica Brasileira. Através de uma abordagem bioeconômica, descobrimos que a polinização tem uma contribuição muito grande para a produção de commodities de frutas, mas também é um serviço ecossistêmico essencial e vulnerável em muitos municípios ao norte do país. No terceiro capítulo utilizamos dados de nutrientes das principais culturas brasileiras para investigar como os componentes nutricionais estão presentes em culturas dependentes e não dependentes de polinizadores. Este estudo fornece a primeira avaliação dos conteúdos de frutos e sementes relacionados a culturas dependentes e não dependentes de polinizadores, que incluem o conteúdo de água e o fornecimento de energia. Culturas dependentes da polinização animal exibem alto teor de água e representam uma fonte relevante de lipídios, vitamina A, vitamina B, vitamina B2 (riboflavina), vitamina B9 (folato), vitamina C e vitamina E. Portanto, a diminuição dos polinizadores pode impactar drasticamente a dieta humana, a saúde e a segurança alimentar. Esperamos dar um passo adiante no incentivo a práticas agrícolas mais sustentáveis e amigáveis aos polinizadores geram benéficos para todas as partes, incluindo benefícios econômicos e para o bem-estar humano através da saúde e segurança alimentar. Ecosystem services are the set of diverse ecological functions essential to human well-being. In this context, this thesis is structured in three chapters that seek to identify how the pollination service and its economic benefits are being globally measured and published; calculate the economic value of pollination in Brazilian agriculture, which factors influence this value, in addition to identifying areas of greatest vulnerability to the decline of animal pollinators; and in the third chapter we deal with the nutritional contribution of pollinators to the human diet, by comparing composition and concentration of nutrients in dependent cultures that are not dependent on pollinators. In the first chapter we examine how the economic evaluation of crop pollination services has been investigated the literature and we analyze the estimates of the monetary values of agricultural pollination services, as well as investments (research funding / subsidies) and policy actions associated with pollinators and pollination. We have documented an increase in the number of studies on the economic assessment of pollination services in the past two decades, with substantial growth in the past five years. We emphasize that there is a marked lack of data on important commercial crops, especially in developing countries. We demonstrate and update the estimated global values of the agricultural pollination service, showing an increasing trend over time in the values of the pollination service estimates, although the estimates for specific crops vary widely at the local and regional scales. Although the assessment of pollination services and the associated economy and policy remain embryonic areas of research, animal-mediated pollination is clearly a high-value environmental service that greatly strengthens conservation arguments around the world. In the second chapter we try to access the importance of pollinators in fruit production and, consequently, the economic gain of productions for different fruit crops on a local and regional scale throughout the Brazilian Atlantic Forest domain. Pollination has a very large contribution to the production of fruit commodities, but it is also an essential and vulnerable ecosystem service in many municipalities in the north of the country. On a landscape scale, the economic value of the pollination service for agricultural production appears to be affected by changes in land use, such as deforestation, remaining forest cover and urban expansion. In the third chapter we use nutrient data from the main Brazilian cultures to investigate how the nutritional components are present in dependent and non-dependent pollinator cultures. This study provides the first assessment of fruit and seed content related to dependent and non-dependent pollinator crops, which include water content and energy supply. Crops dependent on animal pollination exhibit high water content and represent a relevant source of lipids, vitamin A, vitamin B, vitamin B2 (riboflavin), vitamin B9 (folate), vitamin C and vitamin E. Therefore, the decrease pollinators can drastically impact the human diet, health and food security. We hope to take a step further encouraging more sustainable and pollinator-friendly agricultural practices is beneficial to all parties, including economic benefits and human well-being through health and food security.

CAPES As plantas com flores possuem características que promovem a polinização por vetores bióticos e abióticos. Para atrair animais, as flores apresentam atributos como o display floral e as recompensas florais que atuam na atratividade dos polinizadores, que por sua vez dispersam os seus grãos de pólen (flores estaminadas perfeitas), viabilizando a reprodução. A resina floral é uma recompensa rara com alto custo energético. O gênero Clusia L. (Clusiaceae) é um dos representantes capazes de ofertar este recurso. Espécies deste gênero são amplamente distribuídas em florestas tropicais, entretanto o conhecimento sobre a distribuição, incluindo espécies endêmicas, e suas preferências vegetacionais ainda é incipiente. No Brasil, Clusia nemorosa G. Mey apresenta maior área de distribuição e números de ocorrências registrados em relação às espécies do gênero. Diante disso, foi estudada a distribuição dos representantes do gênero Clusia L., ocorrência, distribuição e fenologia no Brasil através do levantamento de dados secundários e foram investigadas a fenologia, a biologia reprodutiva, a ocorrência de variações fenotípicas relacionadas à morfologia floral e à polinização em populações de C. nemorosa de Caatinga. O gênero Clusia no Brasil, possui 69 espécies distribuídas em quase toda a extensão territorial do Brasil. A floresta Amazônica foi o domínio fitogeográfico predominante. Em relação à ocorrência dos estádios vegetativos e reprodutivos, C. nemorosa foi a espécie mais representativa na floresta Amazônica, com maior ocorrência de folhas (N=69) e flores (N=38) no mês de outubro. A fenologia de C. nemorosa foi acompanhada mensalmente por 19 meses (junho/2016-janeiro/2018) em Caatinga. A espécie apresentou floração entre setembro e novembro/2016 e 2017 na Caatinga, mais curta do que a registrada em floresta Ombrófila Densa e Restinga (junho-dezembro/janeiro). A razão sexual entre indivíduos masculinos e femininos foi de 1:1 em Caatinga, similar ao registrado para FA (floresta Ombrófila Densa e Restinga) e em floresta Estacional Semidecidual (população ginodioica, com indivíduos femininos, intermediários e hermafroditas). Observamos baixa formação de frutos em condições naturais na Caatinga (22,35%), inferior ao registrado na literatura em floresta Ombrófila Densa (88,9%). A baixa frutificação natural pode estar relacionada com a baixa eficiência de Trigona spinipes como polinizadora da espécie em Caatinga, uma vez que em floresta Ombrófila Densa os polinizadores efetivos da espécie são abelhas Euglossini, maiores e especializadas em coleta de resina floral. A população de Caatinga foi considerada dioica, apesar de todos os indivíduos femininos terem apresentado pelo menos uma flor com algum estame com grãos de pólen, os quais apresentavam conteúdo citoplasmático. Esses indivíduos foram considerados femininos uma vez que essas flores intermediárias não formavam frutos com o seu próprio pólen (autoincompatíveis) e o seu pólen, apesar de ter conteúdo, não resultava em frutos quando utilizado na polinização de flores de outros indivíduos. A ampla distribuição do gênero Clusia revela que as espécies possuem potencial adaptativo para ocorrer sob diferentes regimes pluviométricos e morfoclimáticos. Clusia nemorosa apresentou variações na sua biologia reprodutiva e guilda de em diferentes fitofisionomias, reforçando que a espécie apresenta diferentes estratégias reprodutivas sob diferentes condições ambientais. Flowering plants have characteristics that promote pollination by biotic and abiotic vectors. To attract animals, the flowers present attributes such as the floral display and floral rewards that act on the attractiveness of pollinators, which in turn disperse their pollen grains (perfect staminate flowers), making reproduction possible. Floral resin is a rare reward with a high energy cost. The genus Clusia L. (Clusiaceae) is one of the three genera of angiosperms able to offer this resource. Species of this genus are widely distributed in tropical forests, but knowledge about the distribution, including endemic species, and their vegetative preferences is still incipient. In Brazil, Clusia nemorosa G. Mey presents a larger area of distribution and number of recorded occurrences in relation to the species of the genus. The distribution of the representatives of the genus Clusia L., occurrence, distribution and phenology in Brazil through the study of secondary data was studied. Phenology, reproductive biology, phenotypic variations related to floral morphology and pollination were investigated in populations of C. nemorosa of Caatinga. The genus Clusia in Brazil has 69 species distributed in almost all the territorial extension of Brazil. The Amazonian forest was the predominant phytogeographical domain. In relation to the occurrence of vegetative and reproductive stages, C. nemorosa was the most representative species in the Amazon rainforest, with a higher occurrence of leaves (N = 69) and flowers (N = 38) in October. The phenology of C. nemorosa was monitored monthly for 19 months (June/2016-January/2018) in Caatinga. The species presented flowering between September and November / 2016 and 2017 in the Caatinga, shorter than that recorded in the Obrófila Densa and Restinga forest (June-December / January). The sex ratio between male and female individuals was 1: 1 in the Caatinga, similar to that recorded for FA (Ombrophylous Densa and Restinga) and Seasonal Semideciduous (gynodioicy population with female, intermediate and hermaphrodite individuals). We observed low fruit formation under natural conditions in the Caatinga (22.35%), lower than that recorded in the literature in the Ombrophilous Dense forest (88.9%). The low natural fructification can be related to the low efficiency of Trigona spinipes as pollinator of the species in Caatinga, since in Ombrophilous Densa forest the effective pollinators of the species are Euglossini bees, larger and specialized in collection of floral resin. The population of Caatinga was considered dioecious, although all the female individuals presented at least one flower with some stamen with pollen grains, which had cytoplasmic content. These individuals were considered female since these intermediate flowers did not produce fruits with their own (self-incompatible) pollen and their pollen, despite having content, did not result in fruit when used to pollination of other individuals' flowers. The wide distribution of the genus Clusia reveals that the species have adaptive potential to occur under different pluviometric and morphoclimatic regimes. Clusia nemorosa presented variations in its reproductive biology and guild in different phytophysiognomies, reinforcing that the species presents different reproductive strategies under different environmental conditions.

FACEPE Amburana cearensis (Allemão) A. C. Sm. é uma leguminosa encontrada em Florestas Sazonalmente Secas e de estimado valor socioeconômico na caatinga, que se encontra em perigo de extinção devido ao corte seletivo e ilegal pela comunidade local. Diante do status de conservação desta espécie o objetivo desta tese foi gerar conhecimentos ecológicos e genéticos, para melhor visualização do panorama sobre as estratégias reprodutivas, a dinâmica populacional e a distribuição da diversidade genética de A. cearensis, com vistas a sua conservação. Foi investigado os sistemas de polinização e de cruzamento de A. cearensis através de observações e coletas de campo quanto aos seus visitantes florais e por meio de polinizações manuais. A fim de verificar a dinâmica populacional, a estrutura diamétrica e a distribuição espacial foi descrita analisando duas populações em vegetação de Caatinga no município de Parnamirim, PE. Para a descrição da diversidade genética ao longo da distribuição geográfica de A. cearensis foi desenvolvido um estudo filogeográfico com marcadores microssatélites nucleares espécie-específico e plastidiais universais utilizando material botânico coletado no Brasil, Argentina e Peru. Amburana cearensis apresentou características florais falenófila com antese crepuscular estendida a um período diurno possibilitando assim um sistema de polinização misto, com a participação das abelhas como vetores efetivos de pólen. A produção de frutos é naturalmente baixa, comum de espécies arbóreas, controlado por um provável sistema autoincompatível de ação tardia. As populações, apresentaram uma estrutura populacional diamétrica com tendência a distribuição exponencial negativa (“J-invertido”) típica de populações autorregenerativas. Contudo, diferenças na densidade populacional, no porte dos indivíduos e na distribuição espacial parecem responder diferentes fatores como solo, retrição hídrica e perturbação antrópica. Nas análises filogeográficas, foi possível observar um nível moderado de estruturação genética analisando 14 populações. Além disso, descritores da diversidade genética apontam que mesmo a população sendo ameaçada, ainda há variabilidade possivelmente suficiente para manutenção de suas populações. Sob uma visão geral, o presente estudo através das diversas áreas de conhecimento aqui abordadas provê informações que podem auxiliar planos de manejo e direcionar estratégias de conservação desta leguminosa típica de caatinga, além de contribuir para futuras avaliações do seu status quanto ao perigo de extinção. Amburana cearensis (Allemão) A. C. Sm. is a legume found in Seasonally Dry Forests, of estimated socioeconomic value in the caatinga, and is in danger of extinction due to selective and illegal cutting by the local community. In view of the conservation status of this species, the aim of this thesis was to generate ecological and genetic knowledge to understand the reproductive strategies, the population dynamics and the distribution of the genetic diversity of A. cearensis, considering its conservation. For the analysis of the reproductive characteristics, we investigated the pollination and cross - breeding systems of A. cearensis through observations of floral visitors and reproductive experiments. In order to verify the population dynamics, the diametric structure and spatial distribution we analyzed two populations in Caatinga vegetation in Parnamirim, PE. For the description of the genetic diversity along the geographical distribution of A. cearensis we are developing a phylogeographic study with species-specific and universal plastidial nuclear microsatellite markers using botanical material collected in Brazil, Argentina and Peru. Amburana cearensis presented floral characteristics that classify it as a phalenophilous species with twilight anthesis extended to a daytime period, allowing a mixed pollination system, with the participation of bees as effective vectors of pollen during the diurnal phase of its anthesis. The fruit production is naturally low, common of arboreal species, controlled by a probable autoincompatible system of late action. Populations, independent of the degree of disturbance, presented a diametric population structure with a tendency for negative exponential distribution ("J-inverted") typical of self-regenerative populations, in which smaller individuals are observed to successively replace adult individuals in the population. However, differences in population density, size of individuals and spatial distribution are responding to soil, hydric restriction and anthropogenic disturbance. In analyzes of the phylogeographic study, was possible to observe a moderate level of genetic structuring in 14 populations. In addition, descriptors of genetic diversity point out that even the population being threatened, there is still variability sufficient to maintain the populations. In an overview, the present study, through the different areas of knowledge, provides information that can help management plans and guide strategies for the conservation of this typical caatinga legume, as well as contribute to future assessments of its status regarding the danger of extinction.

CAPES As Leguminosas apresentam, de um modo geral, nectários florais formando discos nectaríferos localizados ao redor da base do ovário. Entretanto, a ocorrência de nectários não estruturais tem sido documentada em alguns gêneros que não apresentavam nectários característicos. Mimosa lewisii é um arbusto ocorrente em Caatinga cujas flores já haviam sido referidas como apresentando néctar floral e polinização por morcegos, porém não se sabia a localização do nectário. O objetivo deste trabalho foi então localizar e caracterizar o nectário floral de M. lewisii e analisar produção e composição do néctar. Foram realizados cortes histológicos em botões e flores e feitas medidas de volume e concentração do néctar durante o período de antese para a descrição do padrão de secreção. Foi também feita análise quantitativa dos açúcares presentes no néctar. Anatomicamente a flor de M. lewissi é semelhante ao que é descrito para as Mimosoideae. O nectário, entretanto, é do tipo não estrutural e está localizado na epiderme dos filetes, confirmado através dos testes histoquímicos e características das células, o que caracteriza um nectário substitutivo, sendo este o segundo caso relatado para a subfamília. O padrão de secreção de néctar é caracterizado por dois períodos de secreção ativa, o primeiro entre 19-21h e o segundo entre 21-23h. Não há alterações no volume de néctar e concentração de açúcar quando as flores são submetidas a sucessivas remoções experimentais de néctar. Apesar de ser polinizada por morcegos, a sacarose é o açúcar predominante no néctar, fato que contrasta com a maioria das flores quiropterófilas. The Leguminosae usually have floral structural nectaries with a nectariferous disk located at the base of the ovary. However, the occurrence of non-structural nectaries has been documented in some genera that did not present typical nectaries. Mimosa lewisii is a shrub, endemic to northeastern Brazil, occurring in the Caatinga, whose flowers had already been referred to as presenting nectar but the location of the nectary was unknown. The aim of this study was to localize and to characterize the floral nectary of M. lewisii and to analyze nectar production and composition. Histological sections were done in buds and flowers; nectar volume and concentration were measured during the anthesis period for describing the secretion pattern. Quantitative analysis of nectar sugar was also performed. Anatomically, the flower of M. lewisii is similar to that described for Mimosoideae. The nectary however is non-structural and is located in the epidermis of the filaments, confirmed by histochemical tests and cell characteristics. Thus, M lewisii has substitutive nectary, and this is the second case reported for the subfamily. The secretion pattern is characterized by two periods of active secretion, the first between 19-21h and the second between 21-23h. There are no changes in the volume of nectar and sugar concentration when the flowers are submitted to successive experimental removals of nectar. Although the species is pollinated exclusively by bats, the nectar is sucrose-dominant, which contrasts with most chiropterophilous flowers.

CAPES Critérios como distribuição geográfica, tamanho populacional e exigências de habitat são utilizados para determinar o estado de conservação de espécies. Espécies endêmicas, raras e ameaçadas de extinção apresentam distribuição geográfica restrita. Neste estudo, apresentamos o perfil de atributos reprodutivos de espécies endêmicas de Caatinga, raras e ameaçadas de extinção ocorrentes no Parque Nacional do Catimbau e comparamos com o padrão geral para a Caatinga. A lista de espécies foi compilada a partir de listas florísticas; o estado de conservação foi determinado a partir de literatura especializada. Para cada espécie foram registradas informações existentes na literatura ou através de observações pessoais, com relação ao hábito, fenologia (vegetativa/reprodutiva), atributos florais, morfologia de frutos, além das síndromes de polinização e de dispersão. Listamos 350 espécies de plantas ocorrentes no Parque, das quais 86 são endêmicas de Caatinga, raras e/ou ameaçadas de extinção: 76 spp. endêmicas (incluindo sete também raras), 15 raras (incluindo sete também endêmicas) e quatro ameaçadas. Entre as 76 espécies endêmicas, pelo menos quatro delas são endêmicas do Parque. Observa-se um elevado percentual de espécies arbustivo-arbóreas (75%) e a maioria das espécies com informações sobre fenologia vegetativa é perenifólia. Assim como para espécies de Caatinga em geral, a maioria das espécies restritas é polinizada por abelhas, porém, apenas uma das 86 espécies é polinizada por diversos pequenos insetos (DPI), o que difere do padrão geral de estratégias reprodutivas da Caatinga (ca. 12% de polinização por DPI). O recurso mais ofertado pelas espécies restritas é o néctar; a maioria das espécies tem flores de tamanho médio a muito-grande com tipos florais em que o recurso não é acessado facilmente; a maioria das espécies é hermafrodita, sendo, porém, autoincompatíveis. A síndrome de dispersão por vetores abióticos é mais frequente entre as espécies restritas. O elevado número de espécies endêmicas de Caatinga, raras e ameaçadas ocorrentes no Parque (ca. 24% das endêmicas de Caatinga) juntamente o perfil de atributos de história de vida observado neste estudo, reiteram a necessidade de conservação do Parque. Criteria such as geographic distribution, population size and habitat requirements are used to determine the conservation status of species. Endemic, rare and endangered species present restricted geographic distribution. The set of biotic and abiotic conditions under which a species is able to persist may be termed ecological niche, while niche amplitude is the set of characteristics that allows a species to inhabit and use certain sites and resources, both being determinant in the distribution of the species. In this study, we present the reproductive traits of endemic species of Caatinga, rare and endangered species occurring in the Catimbau National Park (PARNA Catimbau) and compared to the general pattern for the Caatinga. The list of species was compiled from floristic lists; the state of conservation was determined from specialized literature. For each species, information was recorded in the literature or through personal observations regarding habit, phenology (vegetative / reproductive), floral attributes, fruit morphology, as well as pollination and dispersion syndromes. We list 350 species of plants that occur in PARNA Catimbau, of which 86 are endemic to Caatinga, rare and / or threatened with extinction: 76 spp. (including seven also rare), 15 rare (including seven also endemic) and four endangered. Among the 76 endemic species, at least four of them are endemic to the Park. It is observed a high percentage of shrub-tree species (75%) and most species with information about vegetative phenology is perennial. As for Caatinga species in general, most of the restricted species are pollinated by bees; however, only one of the 86 species is pollinated by several small insects (DPI), which differs from the general pattern of Caatinga reproductive strategies (ca. 12% of pollination by DPI). The most favored resource for the restricted species is also nectar, with species of pollen, oil and resin; most species have medium to very large flowers with floral types in which the resource is not easily accessed; most species are hermaphrodite, but are self-incompatible. Abiotic vector dispersion syndrome is more frequent among restricted species. The high number of endemic species of Caatinga, rare and endangered in the Park (ca. 24% of endemic Caatinga, four endemic to the Park), together with the profile of life history attributes observed in this study, reiterate the need for conservation of PARNA Catimbau.

Nesta dissertação foram analisadas a fenologia, a biologia floral, os sistemas sexual e reprodutivo e o sucesso reprodutivo de Solanum rhytidoandrum Sendtn., além dos efeitos da florivoria no seu sucesso reprodutivo. As observações fenológicas foram realizadas mensalmente por dois anos e o tipo e a intensidade de florivoria foram avaliados mensalmente por um ano. Ao todo, foram analisadas 600 flores/botões florais, registrando-se: tamanho do pistilo, presença/ausência de dano floral, parte danificada, tipo e extensão do dano, contagens de pólen e óvulos. Para avaliação dos sistemas sexual e reprodutivo e do sucesso reprodutivo, bem como do efeito da florivoria sobre o sucesso reprodutivo da espécie, foram realizados tratamentos de polinização controlada e natural. Solanum rhytidoandrum apresentou padrão de floração contínuo, suas flores são melitófilas e apresentam mecanismo de polinização vibrátil. Foram observados dois morfotipos florais que ocorreram simultaneamente em cada indivíduo: 1) flores com pistilo longo, maior que as anteras, hermafroditas e 2) flores com pistilo curto, abaixo do nível das anteras, as quais não formaram frutos, sendo funcionalmente masculinas e a espécie, portanto, andromonoica. Observou-se que 51% das flores/botões estavam sadios, e 49% apresentavam algum tipo de dano. Destes, 72% eram de efeito direto e 28% de efeito direto e indireto. Foi identificada a ação de cinco prováveis florívoros: 1) Trigona sp., 2) Lepidoptera sp., 3) Hymenoptera sp.1, 4) Hymenoptera sp.2, 5) Kapala sp. (Hymenoptera: Chalcidoidea), os quais não mostraram preferência por algum dos dois morfotipos florais. A ocorrência de florivoria reduziu em 67% o sucesso reprodutivo da espécie. We analyzed the phenology, floral biology, sexual and reproductive systems and the reproductive success of Solanum rhytidoandrum Sendtn., so as the effects of florivory in their reproductive success. The phenological observations were carried out monthly for two years and the type and intensity of florivoria were evaluated monthly for a year. Over all, 600 were analyzed flowers / buds, by registering: pistil size, presence / absence of floral damage, damaged part, type and extent of damage, pollen counts and eggs. For evaluation of the sexual and reproductive systems, reproductive success, and the effect of florivory on the reproductive success of the species, controlled and natural pollination treatments were performed in flower of Solanum rhytidoandrum. The species presented a pattern of continuous bloom, its flowers are melittophilous and feature pollination mechanism vibrating. Two morphs were observed that occurred simultaneously in each individual: 1) flowers with long pistil, greater than the anthers, hermaphrodites and 2) flowers with short pistil, below the level of the anthers, which failed to form fruits, and functional male and species, thus andromonoecious. It was observed that 51% of the flowers / buds were healthy, and 49% had some type of damage. Of these, 72% were of direct effect and 28% of direct and indirect effects. Action was identified five florivorous: 1). Trigona sp 2) Lepidoptera sp 3) sp.1 Hymenoptera, 4) Hymenoptera sp.2 5) Kapala sp.. (Hymenoptera: Chalcidoidea), which showed no preference for either of the two morphs. The occurrence of florivoria reduced by 67% the reproductive success of the species.
