The greenhouse environment control system is a type of non-linear system since the temperature and humidity of the system are highly coupled. Besides, the time lag of the temperature and humidity control process is large, so it’s quite difficult to linearize and decouple the temperature and humidity of the system. To cope with this issue, this paper proposed a novel control strategy for greenhouse environment control system based on Back Propagation Neural Network (BPNN) and inverse model, the proposed method can perform inverse identification on the temperature and humidity control system to attain higher accuracy. Then, the inverse model and the original system were connected in series to form a pseudo linear system to realize the decoupled control of temperature and humidity. After that, aiming at the impact of some non-linear factors on the greenhouse environment system, this paper adopted the adaptive fuzzy Proportion Integration Differentiation (PID) controller to enhance the adaptability of the system, thereby reducing control error and the interference caused by non-linear factors of the temperature and humidity control system. At last, the experimental results showed that, the temperature error of the system could be controlled within 1.2℃ and the error of relative humidity was less than 2.5%. The proposed method can improve the control effect of the greenhouse environment to a certain extent, and it provides a novel approach of greenhouse control.

The macrolides-resistant Bordetella pertussis (MR-Bp) isolates in China evolved from the ptxP1/fhaB3 allele and rapidly became predominant, suggestive of an adaptive transmission ability. This was different from the global prevalent ptxP3 strains, in which MR-Bp was rarely reported. The study aimed to determine the underlying mechanism responsible for fitness and resistance in these two strains. We identify proteomic differences between ptxP1/fhaB3 and ptxP3/fhaB1 strains using tandem mass tag (TMT)-based proteomics. We then performed in-depth bioinformatic analysis to determine differentially expressed genes (DEGs), followed by gene ontology (GO), and protein–protein interaction (PPI) network analysis. Further parallel reaction monitoring (PRM) analysis confirmed the expression of four target proteins. Finally, the crystal violet method was used to determine biofilm-forming ability. The results showed that the main significantly different proteins between the two represent isolates were related to biofilm formation. Furthermore, we have confirmed that ptxP1/fhaB3 showed hyperbiofilm formation in comparison with ptxP3/fhaB1. It is suggested that the resistance and adaptability of ptxP1/fhaB3 strains may be related to the formation of biofilm through proteomics. In a word, we determined the significantly different proteins between the ptxP1/fhaB3 and ptxP3/fhaB1 strains through whole-cell proteome, which were related to biofilm formation.

Background The symptoms that patients with major depressive disorder (MDD) experience are the dominant contributing factors to its heavy disease burden. This study sought to identify key symptoms leading to disability in patients with MDD. Methods Subjects consisted of patients who had a 12-month MDD diagnosis based on the China Mental Health Survey (CMHS). World Health Organization Disability Assessment Schedule 2.0 (WHODAS 2.0) was used to assess the degree of disability. The associations between depressive symptoms and disability were analyzed using a linear regression and logistic regression with a complex sampling design. Results Of the 32,552 community residents, 655 patients were diagnosed with 12-month MDD. The disability rate due to MDD was 1.06% (95% CI: 0.85%–1.28%) among adults in Chinese community and 50.7% (95% CI: 44.3%–57.1%) among MDD patients. Depression was associated with all functional losses measured by the WHODAS. Feelings of worthlessness in life or inappropriate guilt, and psychomotor agitation or retardation were the key symptoms related to disability. Economic status, co-morbidity of physical diseases or anxiety disorders were correlates of disability scores. Limitations The disability rate might be underestimated due to the exclusion of MDD patients living in hospitals. The effect of treatments on disability was excluded. Conclusions Psychological symptoms, not somatic symptoms, contribute to disability in MDD patients. Disability worsens when physical diseases or anxiety disorders are present. More attention could be paid to psychological symptoms, physical diseases, and anxiety disorders in MDD patients with disabilities.

N6-methyladenosine (m6A) modification plays a critical role in mammalian development. However, the role of m6A in the skeletal muscle development remains largely unknown. Here, we report a global m6A modification pattern of goat skeletal muscle at two key development stages and identified that the m6A modification regulated the expression of the growth arrest and DNA damage-inducible 45B (GADD45B) gene, which is involved in myogenic differentiation. We showed that GADD45B expression increased during myoblast differentiation, whereas the downregulation of GADD45B inhibits myogenic differentiation and mitochondrial biogenesis. Moreover, the expression of GADD45B regulates the expression of myogenic regulatory factors and peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor gamma coactivator 1 alpha by activating the p38 mitogen-activated protein kinase (MAPK) pathway. Conversely, the inactivation of p38 MAPK abolished the GADD45B-mediated myogenic differentiation. Furthermore, we found that the knockdown of fat mass and obesity-associated protein (FTO) increases GADD45B m6A modification and decreases the stability of GADD45B mRNA, which impairs myogenic differentiation. Our results indicate that the FTO-mediated m6A modification in GADD45B mRNA drives skeletal muscle differentiation by activating the p38 MAPK pathway, which provides a molecular mechanism for the regulation of myogenesis via RNA methylation., Graphical abstract, Deng et al. provide the transcriptome-wide m6A map of goat skeletal muscle and demonstrate that FTO-mediated m6A modification in GADD45B mRNA drives skeletal muscle differentiation by activating the p38 MAPK pathway, which provides a molecular mechanism for the regulation of myogenesis via RNA methylation.

The method of computational intelligence to monitor and evaluate the concentration of students in the teaching process can promptly and effectively adjust the learning plan and improve the learning effect. In this article, clustering algorithm and fuzzy control methods are used to construct a research model of students’ attention in class. In addition, this article uses the existing MATLAB-based image feature recognition algorithm to detect and obtain facial features and analyze the main features of facial expressions through computational techniques to realize the judgment of attention. In addition, this article optimizes the traditional AdaBoost algorithm to save computing time and improve operating efficiency and system performance stability. Finally, this article constructs the functional modules of the research model according to actual needs and designs experiments to verify the performance of the model. Experimental research results show that the model constructed in this article has a certain effect.

Summary Background In China, depressive disorders have been estimated to be the second leading cause of years lived with disability. However, nationally representative epidemiological data for depressive disorders, in particular use of mental health services by adults with these disorders, are unavailable in China. The present study, part of the China Mental Health Survey, 2012–15, aims to describe the socioeconomic characteristics and the use of mental health services in people with depressive disorders in China. Methods The China Mental Health Survey was a cross-sectional epidemiological survey of mental disorders in a multistage clustered-area probability sample of adults of Chinese nationality (≥18 years) from 157 nationwide representative population-based disease surveillance points in 31 provinces across China. Trained investigators interviewed the participants with the Composite International Diagnostic Interview 3.0 to ascertain the presence of lifetime and 12-month depressive disorders according to DSM-IV criteria, including major depressive disorder, dysthymic disorder, and depressive disorder not otherwise specified. Participants with 12-month depressive disorders were asked whether they received any treatment for their emotional problems during the past 12 months and, if so, the specific types of treatment providers. The Sheehan Disability Scale (SDS) was used to assess impairments associated with 12-month depressive symptoms. Data-quality control procedures included logic check by computers, sequential recording check, and phone-call check by the quality controllers, and reinterview check by the psychiatrists. Data were weighted according to the age–sex–residence distribution data from China's 2010 census population survey to adjust for differential probabilities of selection and differential response, as well as to post-stratify the sample to match the population distribution. Findings 28 140 respondents (12 537 [44·6%] men and 15 603 [55·4%] women) completed the survey between July 22, 2013, and March 5, 2015. Ethnicity data (Han or non-Han) were collected for only a subsample. Prevalence of any depressive disorders was higher in women than men (lifetime prevalence odds ratio [OR] 1·44 [95% CI 1·20–1·72] and 12-month prevalence OR 1·41 [1·12–1·78]), in unemployed people than employed people (lifetime OR 2·38 [95% CI 1·68–3·38] and 12-month OR 2·80 [95% CI 1·88–4·18]), and in people who were separated, widowed, or divorced compared with those who were married or cohabiting (lifetime OR 1·87 [95% CI 1·39–2·51] and 12-month OR 1·85 [95% CI 1·40–2·46]). Overall, 574 (weighted % 75·9%) of 744 people with 12-month depressive disorders had role impairment of any SDS domain: 439 (83·6%) of 534 respondents with major depressive disorder, 207 (79·8%) of 254 respondents with dysthymic disorder, and 122 (59·9%) of 189 respondents with depressive disorder not otherwise specified. Only an estimated 84 (weighted % 9·5%) of 1007 participants with 12-month depressive disorders were treated in any treatment sector: 38 (3·6%) in speciality mental health, 20 (1·5%) in general medical, two (0·3%) in human services, and 21 (2·7%) in complementary and alternative medicine. Only 12 (0·5%) of 1007 participants with depressive disorders were treated adequately. Interpretation Depressive disorders in China were more prevalent in women than men, unemployed people than employed, and those who were separated, widowed, or divorced than people who were married or cohabiting. Most people with depressive disorders reported social impairment. Treatment rates were very low, and few people received adequate treatment. National programmes are needed to remove barriers to availability, accessibility, and acceptability of care for depression in China. There exists a kind of complex periodic motion caused by the short-period error such as the pitch deviation, tooth surface crack, and so on, in the gear transmission system. It affects the transmission stationary of the system. This complex periodic motion is defined as the neighboring periodic motion in this paper. Its identification methods are proposed by using the multi-time scale Poincare mapping sections. The nonlinear dynamics model of spur gear pair considering pitch deviation under multi-state meshing is introduced. The neighboring periodic motion of the system under different parameters is analyzed according to the proposed identification methods. The multi-stable motion of the spur gear pair with short-period error is explored by analysis methods of nonlinear dynamics. Results show that the short-period error leads to the nonstationary transmission of spur gear pair. The periodic motion of the system shows a long-period motion in the micro-time scale due to the effect of the short-period error. The actual periodic number of the system motion is the number of mapping points obtained in the macro-time scale. The number of mapping points in micro-time scale illustrates point clusters. The number of phase trajectory in micro-time scale displays lines clusters. The short-period error affects the range of parameters for multi-stable motion in spur gear pair. These identification and analysis methods provide a theoretical basis for investigation of the neighboring periodic motion in nonlinear systems.

The effectively early detection and determination of disease progression of gastric cancer (GC) are still required. An emerging demand for identifying the novel targets adherent to cancer cells has been still challenged since those valuable profilings not only could act as for early gastric tumor discovery but also being potential therapeutic views. We have retrospectively analyzed GC biopsies to identify those specific target peptides in association with disease progression. We have detected the polypeptide by liquid mass technology initiated BIO-HIGH innovational assay technology for tumor-specific target peptide identification. We have validated the accessibility and feasibility of multiple target cytotoxic T-lymphocyte for the assessment of potential molecular markers by equally comparing the frequencies of tumor peptides' loci identified in 138 GC patients. The aim was to separate peripheral blood lymphocytes by density gradient centrifugation and use specific target peptides in in vitro culture of lymphocytes. The Cell Counting Kit-8 assay was set up to prove the lymphocytes' proliferation stimulated by identified peptides. Both of GC-specific peptide and shared peptide were detected in the peripheral blood, and the frequencies and quantities were correlated with disease status and cancer differentiation, in which BHGa1510 (78%), BHGa1310 (66%), BHGa0910 (57%), BHGa0310 (54%), BHGa0210 (40%), BHGa0810 (35%), BHGa0110 (33%), and BHGa1410 (30%) were apparently scoped out as high-frequency (HF) peptides could be potentially specific tumor markers. Moreover, BHGa1410 was significantly associated with cancer progression, and BHGa0910 and BHGa0210 were significantly associated with TNM stage. The IHC data have shown that both the HF BHGa1510 and HF BHGa1310 were expressions by 100% in contrast with paracancerous tissues of 40% (p < 0.05) and 33%, respectively (p < 0.05). Those specific peptide pools could be valued in assessment of advanced tumor and differential status in GC patients.

Phytoextraction and phytostabilization are two mechanisms used by plants to remove and stabilize heavy metals in soil. However, there has been little research on the extraction/stabilization of heavy metals by desert plants in arid areas. This study analyzed eight heavy metals (Cr, Ni, Cu, Zn, Cd, Pb, Mn, and As) in 10 desert plants and their growth matrices. In addition, the single factor pollution index and Nemerow comprehensive pollution index were used to evaluate soil pollution. Based on the biological accumulation factor and the biological concentration factor, the fuzzy evaluation method was used to evaluate plant extraction/stability potentials for heavy metals. The results showed that Cd, Cu, Ni, and Cr in the soil around the tailings pond were at the heavy pollution level, Mn and Pb pollution was moderate, and Zn and As pollution was light. The matrix factorization model showed that Cu and Ni came from industrial pollution; Cd and Cr came from atmospheric deposition and agricultural pollution; Pb came from traffic pollution; and Mn, Zn, and As came from natural sources. The metal contents of the desert plants exceeded the standard for normal plants, of which Cr contents in theAtriplex patensandAmmophila breviligulataFernald aboveground parts were 35.63 and 53.77 mg/kg respectively, and the Ni contents in theKlasea centauroidessubsp.polycephala(Iljin) L. Martins underground parts and theA. breviligulataFernald aboveground parts were 102.67 and 101.67 mg/kg, respectively, exceeding the maximum toxicity threshold for Cr and Ni.Ammophila breviligulataFernald had the highest plant comprehensive extraction coefficient (CEI) and plant comprehensive stability coefficient (CSI) at 0.81 and 0.83 respectively, indicating that it has strong heavy metal extraction and stabilization abilities. Therefore,A. breviligulataFernald can be selected as a remediation species for heavy metal pollution in the soil around tailings reservoir areas.

Background Hepatocellular Carcinoma (HCC) is the fourth most common malignant tumor in China and the second leading cause of cancer-related death. Transcatheter arterial chemoembolization (TACE) and targeted therapy are widely used in the treatment of HCC. To make a better treatment strategy from many treatment options, this study analyzed the survival of patients with liver cancer based on Albumin-Bilirubin (ALBI) grades and tumor load layer, and established a nomogram model. Methods The clinical data of 354 patients with unresectable HCC and recurrent HCC after radical resection who received TACE combined with or without sorafenib(SORA) in our hospital from 2017 to 2020 were investigated retrospectively.After 1:2 propensity score matching (PSM), eighty-one cases in TACE + SORA group and 162 cases in TACE group were included. Results The survival benefit of TACE combined with sorafenib is better than that of TACE alone in patients with advanced liver cancer and recurrent primary liver cancer after radical surgery. Compared with TACE alone, patients with good liver function reserve (ALBI grade 1_5 points) can benefit significantly from TACE combined with SORA (median PFS: 11.8 months vs 7.0 months, P=0.000; median OS: 27.6 months vs 23.0 months, P=0.019). For patients with poor liver function (such as ALBI grade 1_ grade B), combined therapy can not significantly prolong the survival of patients with liver cancer(median PFS: P=0.370; median OS: P=0.131). ALBI grades is superior to Child-Pugh grades in predicting the prognosis of HCC. The prognosis of patients with large tumor burden ((layer 2 and layer 3) is better than that of patients with TACE alone(layer 2: 24.5 months vs 18.5 months, layer 3: 15.0 months vs 12.2 months; PConclusions Compared with TACE alone, the combination of TACE and sorafenib could improve the prognosis of patients, especially the patients with better liver function (ALBI grade 1_5points) and the patients with higher tumor load,such as layer 2 and 3. The nomogram model established in this study performed well in predicting prognosis, and the model could be used for risk stratification of patients.

A new method for producing biomass seedling trays with cow manure was developed based on heating to above the glass transition point of the lignin in cow dung. The maize seedling tray, manufactured through heat compression molding, could potentially meet the demand for transplanting maize seedlings. A scanning electron microscope and universal testing machine were used to compare the changes in the internal structure and mechanical properties of the seedling tray before and after the seeding period through a compression molding technique at normal temperature before seeding and a heat compression molding technique after seeding. The results showed that the strength of the seedling tray was mainly derived from the mechanical setting force of the fiber laminated in the seedling tray. Meanwhile, the moisture in the seedling tray hindered the lignin from filling in the gaps between the stem fibers in cow manure, as well as it reduced the protective effect of lignin on the laminated inlay structure of the stem fibers in cow manure. Therefore, under the premise that the material could be completely filled in the mold, the study concluded that a lower moisture content resulted in better strength and water resistance of the seedling tray. As such, this study provides an idea for the functional utilization of cow manure.

Aim: To explore the prognostic value of the systemic inflammatory response index (SIRI) and peripheral blood T-cell subsets in patients with hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) and the relationship between them. Materials & methods: We treated 352 patients with HCC with sorafenib and/or immune checkpoint inhibitors (ICIs) and analyzed SIRI and peripheral blood T cells. Results: SIRI was an independent prognostic factor for patients with HCC receiving systemic therapy. Patients with high SIRI and low baseline peripheral blood T-cell counts showed a poor response to ICIs. SIRI was significantly and negatively correlated with CD3+, CD4+ and CD8+ T-cell counts. Conclusion: SIRI markers can be employed to noninvasively assess the presence of cancer-promoting inflammation in the tumor microenvironment and predict the efficacy of targeted therapy and immunotherapy.

A dynamic model for an involute spur gear system involving multi-state mesh and friction is formulated to analyze the dynamic response and meshing state property under different lubrication conditions, such as an elastohydrodynamic and mixed lubrications as well as dry friction. The dynamic equations of the system under teeth separation, drive-side and back-side tooth meshes are derived respectively based on the meshing principle of the gear transmission and the force analysis acting on teeth. The effects of the different lubrication schemes on the dynamic meshing force and motion orbit of the system are studied. Results show that the lubrication scheme greatly affects the amplitude of dynamic meshing force. However, the influence of the lubrication scheme on the motion orbit depends mainly on the meshing state. It means that the system motion orbit is largely affected by the lubrication scheme without drive-side and back-side tooth impacts, while the orbit is slightly affected by the lubrication scheme when drive-side and back-side impacts occur. Additionally, the dynamic response and meshing property are investigated with the decrease in load by defining three different Poincaré mappings. The system performs a drive-side meshing state as the load is large. The teeth separation is observed periodically with the decrease in load. While, both teeth separation and back-side mesh are observed under small load, which strengthens the impact vibration between the meshing teeth.

There is no trial comparing different treatment methods in patients with anxiety/somatic subtype MDD.Aim: To compare the efficacy and safety of various treatments in patients with anxiety/somatic subtype MDD.Methods: This was a preliminary multicenter randomized controlled trial at eight participating hospitals in China (09/2016-06/2019) (ClinicalTrials.gov #NCT03219008). The patients were randomized to mirtazapine/SNRIs, mirtazapine/SNRIs+cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), mirtazapine+SNRIs, or mirtazapine+SNRIs+physical therapies (modified electroconvulsive treatment or repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation). The primary endpoint was the 17-item Hamilton Depression Scale (HAMD-17). The Quick Inventory of Depressive Symptomatology-Self-Report (QIDS-SR) and Quality of Life (QOL)-6 were the secondary endpoints. The adverse events (AEs) were monitored. The patients were assessed at baseline (0 weeks), and at the end of the 2nd, 4th, 6th, 8th, and 12th week during treatment.Results: Finally, 107 patients were included: mirtazapine/SNRIs (n=36), mirtazapine/SNRIs+CBT (n=28), mirtazapine+SNRIs (n=29), and mirtazapine+SNRIs+physical therapies (n=14). The 17-HDRS and QIDS-SR scores decreased in all four groups, and the QOL-6 scores increased. There were no differences in the 17-HDRS (P=0.099), QIDS-SR (P=0.407), and QOL-6 (P=0.485) scores among the four groups. There were no differences in the occurrence of AEs among the four groups (P=0.942).Conclusion: This preliminary trial suggests that all four interventions (mirtazapine/SNRIs, mirtazapine/SNRIs+CBT, mirtazapine+SNRIs, or mirtazapine+SNRIs+physical therapies) achieved similar response and remission rates in patients with anxiety/somatic subtype MDD. BackgroundThe association between inflammation and major depressive disorder (MDD) remains poorly understood, given the heterogeneity of patients with MDD.AimsWe investigated inflammatory markers, such as interleukin (IL)-6, high-sensitivity C reactive protein (hsCRP) and tumour necrosis factor-α (TNF-α) in melancholic, atypical and anxious depression and explored whether baseline inflammatory protein levels could indicate prognosis.MethodsThe sample consisted of participants (aged 18–55 years) from a previously reported multicentre randomised controlled trial with a parallel-group design registered with ClinicalTrials.gov, including melancholic (n=44), atypical (n=37) and anxious (n=44) patients with depression and healthy controls (HCs) (n=33). Subtypes of MDD were classified according to the 30-item Inventory of Depressive Symptomatology, Self-Rated Version and the 17-item Hamilton Depression Rating Scale. Blood levels of TNF-α, IL-6 and hsCRP were assessed using antibody array analysis.ResultsPatients with MDD, classified according to melancholic, atypical and anxious depression subtypes, and HCs did not differ significantly in baseline TNF-α, IL-6 and hsCRP levels after adjustment. In patients with anxious depression, hsCRP levels increased significantly if they experienced no pain (adjusted (adj.) p=0.010) or mild to moderate pain (adj. p=0.038) compared with those with severe pain. However, the patients with anxious depression and severe pain showed a lower trend in hsCRP levels than patients with atypical depression who experienced severe pain (p=0.022; adj. p=0.155). Baseline TNF-α (adj. p=0.038) and IL-6 (adj. p=0.006) levels in patients in remission were significantly lower than those in patients with no remission among the participants with the atypical depression subtype at the eighth-week follow-up.ConclusionsThis study provides evidence of differences in inflammatory proteins in patients with varied symptoms among melancholic, atypical and anxious depression subtypes. Further studies on the immunoinflammatory mechanism underlying different subtypes of depression are expected for improved individualised therapy.Trial registration numberNCT03219008.

The primary endpoint was the decrease in the 17-item Hamilton Depression Rating Scale (17-HDRS). The secondary endpoint included the scores from the Quick Inventory of Depressive Symptomatology (QIDS-SR), QOL-6, and safety. Adverse events (AEs) were monitored. The follow-ups were performed at the end of the 0th, 2nd, 4th, 6th, 8th, and 12th weeks of treatment.Results: Finally, 113 patients were included in the analyses: fluoxetine (n=37), fluoxetine+CBT (n=27), fluoxetine+bupropion (n=34), and fluoxetine+bupropion+brain stimulation (n=15). The 17-HDRS and QIDS-SR scores decreased in all four groups (all P< 0.05). There were no differences in the 17-HDRS scores among the four groups at the end of treatment (P=0.779), except for fluoxetine alone showing a better response regarding self-consciousness than fluoxetine+bupropion. The QOL-6 scores increased in all four groups. The occurrence of AEs among the four groups showed no significant difference (P=0.053).Conclusion: This preliminary trial suggests that all four interventions (fluoxetine, fluoxetine+CBT, fluoxetine+bupropion, and fluoxetine+bupropion+brain stimulation) achieved similar response and remission rates in patients with melancholic depression, but that fluoxetine had a better effect on self-consciousness than fluoxetine+bupropion. Aim: To compare the performance of first-line paclitaxel liposome + oxaliplatin and SOX (tegafur/gimeracil/oteracil + oxaliplatin) in advanced gastric cancer patients. Materials & methods: Stage IIb–IV gastric cancer patients underwent either first-line paclitaxel liposome + oxaliplatin (n = 52) or SOX (n = 69) between 2010–2013, and followed up until 2015 or death. Results: Both groups had similar objective response rate (p = 0.48) and disease control rate (p = 0.992) after two chemotherapy cycles, median progression-free survival (p = 0.495) and median overall survival (p = 0.208). Liposome group had significantly lower rate of grade I–II platelet decline and liver function damage (p = 0.04 and 0.019). Multivariate COX regression identified pre-treatment neutrophil-to-lymphocyte ratio as an independent prognostic factor. Conclusion: First-line paclitaxel liposome + oxaliplatin has comparable efficacy, but causes reduced adverse reactions in advanced gastric cancer as compared with SOX.

Backlash-induced variations may lead to teeth separation and back-side tooth mesh in lightly loaded geared drive. Effects of teeth separation and back-side tooth mesh are considered. The dynamic model of a spur gear pair under multi-state meshing conditions such as teeth separation, drive- and back-side tooth mesh is established based on the gear transmission principle and forces acting on teeth. Time-varying meshing stiffness, time-varying friction, load distribution, comprehensive transmission error and backlash are included in the model. Variations of the dynamic meshing force of the system under different meshing states are analyzed numerically. The dynamic meshing force affects the meshing state of the system significantly. Furthermore, the effects of load, backlash and comprehensive transmission error on meshing states and vibro-impact properties of the system are studied by defining three different Poincare maps, where bifurcation diagrams, top Lyapunov exponent diagrams (TLE), phase portraits are used. Results indicate that the complicated phenomena such as drive-side impact, teeth separation and back-side impact gradually occur with the decrease of the load or the increase of the comprehensive error. However, these phenomena always exist with the increase in backlash. This study provides a theoretical reference for the optimization of gears.

The present work investigated the efficacy of social cognition and interaction training (SCIT) for patients with major depression. Thirty first-episode patients with major depression who received the SCIT plus the treatment-as-usual (i.e., SCIT + TAU group) were compared with twenty-nine patients who only received treatment-as-usual (i.e., TAU group). Patients received SCIT showed a significantly greater improvement on emotion perception, theory of mind, and attributional styles from baseline to follow-up assessments, with a significant reduction of severity of depressive symptoms, compared to those in TAU group. The preliminary findings indicate that SCIT is a feasible and promising method to improve social cognition for patients with major depression.

Biochemical methane potential (BMP) of anaerobic co-digestion (co-AD) feedstocks is an essential basis for optimizing ratios of materials. Given the time-consuming shortage of conventional BMP tests, a rapid estimated method was proposed for BMP of co-AD—with straw and feces as feedstocks—based on near infrared spectroscopy (NIRS) combined with chemometrics. Partial least squares with several variable selection algorithms were used for establishing calibration models. Variable selection methods were constructed by the genetic simulated annealing algorithm (GSA) combined with interval partial least squares (iPLS), synergy iPLS, backward iPLS, and competitive adaptive reweighted sampling (CARS), respectively. By comparing the modeling performances of characteristic wavelengths selected by different algorithms, it was found that the model constructed using 57 characteristic wavelengths selected by CARS-GSA had the best prediction accuracy. For the validation set, the determination coefficient, root mean square error and relative root mean square error of the CARS-GSA model were 0.984, 6.293 and 2.600, respectively. The result shows that the NIRS regression model—constructed with characteristic wavelengths, selected by CARS-GSA—can meet actual detection requirements. Based on a large number of samples collected, the method proposed in this study can realize the rapid and accurate determination of the BMP for co-AD raw materials in biogas engineering.

Background: In China, depressive disorders have been estimated to be the second leading cause of years lived with disability (YLDs). However, nationally representative epidemiological data for depressive disorders, in particular depressed adults’ mental health services use, are still unavailable in China. The present study is a part of the Chinese National Mental Health Survey (CMHS), 2012–15, which reported the prevalence, treatment, and associated disability of depressive disorders in the Chinese general population. Methods: The CMHS recruited a representative sample of 28140 Chinese residents (≥ 18 years) by using multistage proportional-to-population-size sampling method. Trained investigators interviewed participants with the Composite International Diagnostic Interview 3.0 to ascertain the presence of lifetime and 12-month depressive disorders according to DSM-IV criteria, including major depressive disorder (MDD), dysthymic disorder (DD), and depressive disorder not otherwise specified (DD-NOS). Participants with 12-month depressive disorders were asked whether they ever received any 12-month treatment for their emotional problems and the specific types of treatment providers. The Quick Inventory of Depressive Symptomatology and Sheehan Disability Scale (SDS) were used to evaluate the severity of and role impairments associated with 12-month depressive symptoms. Findings: The weighted lifetime and 12-month prevalence rates of any depressive disorder were 6.8% (95%CI: 5.8-7.8%) and 3.6% (95%CI: 3.0-4.2%), respectively; the corresponding figures were 3.4% (95%CI: 2.0-3.9%) and 2.1% (95%CI: 1.8-2.4%) for MDD, 1.4% (95%CI: 1.1-1.7%) and 1.0% (95%CI: 0.8-1.3%) for DD, and 3.2% (95%CI: 2.6-3.9%) and 1.4% (95%CI: 1.1-1.7%) for DD-NOS. Overall, 77.2% of persons with 12-month depressive disorders had role impairment of any SDS domain: 82.2% for MDD, 81.5% for DD, and 64.6% for DD-NOS. Depressed participants reported an average of 41.0 days out of role in the past year due to depression; the corresponding figures were 49.7 days for MDD, 54.9 days for DD, and 12.2 days for DD-NOS. In total, 88.9% of individuals with 12-month depressive disorders had clinically significant depressive symptoms: 93.7% for MDD, 91.7% for DD, and 77.5% for DD-NOS. MDD and DD had similar proportions of “severe” or “very severe” depressive symptoms (43.0% and 42.1%), which were higher than DD-NOS (13.9%). 9.5% of participants with 12-month depressive disorders were treated in any treatment sector: 3.6% in the specialty mental health (SMH), 1.5% in the general medical (GM), 0.3% in the human services (HS), and 3.3% in the complementary-alternative medical (CAM) sector. Respondents with MDD and DYS had the highest proportion of seeking treatment in SMH sector (4.7% and 3.0%) while those with DD-NOS had the highest proportion of seeking treatment in CAM sector (most treatments were Traditional Chinese Medicine) (3.3%). Only 0.5% of participants with depressive disorders were treated adequately. Rates of treatment adequacy of MDD and DYS in SMH sector were 9.2% and 2.4%, respectively. Both rates in GM sector were 0%. Interpretation: Compared to western countries, our data show a relatively low prevalence of depressive disorders in China. Nevertheless, their associated role impairments, symptom severities, and disabilities are severe. Importantly, the treatment rates are rather low, let alone adequate treatment. Nationwide programs aiming at removing barriers in availability, accessibility, and acceptability to mental healthcare are needed in China. Clinically targeted treatments have not been identified yet, although standardized strategies are recommended by several clinical guidelines. The main aim of this study is to respectively identify the precise treatment for three different subtypes of MDD (ie, melancholic, atypical, and anxious).Methods: An 8-to-12-week, multicenter randomized controlled trial (RCT) with a parallel group design will be conducted to determine the most effective and appropriate treatment. A total of 750 adults diagnosed with MDD will be recruited, categorized into melancholic, atypical or anxious type based on the assessment of the Inventory of Depressive Symptomatology (IDS30) and the Hamilton Anxiety Scale (HAMA), and 1:1 randomly assigned to different intervention groups. Blood draw, EEG test, and MRI scan will be performed at baseline and endpoint. Clinical symptom and side-effects will be evaluated at critical decision points (CDP) including weeks two, four, six, eight, and 12 after treatment. The primary outcome is total score and reduction rate of the 17-Hamilton Depression Rating Scale (17-HDRS). The secondary outcomes include the scores of the Quick Inventory of Depressive Symptomatology-self-report (QIDS-SR), IDS30, HAMA and the Treatment Emergent Symptom Scale (TESS).
