Introduction. Late metastases of malignant tumors in the temporal bone are very rare lesions. They can be asymptomatic for a long time and usually manifest them-selves in the form of hearing loss, dizziness, tinnitus, and paralysis of the facial nerve. Modern radiological diagnostics and explorative surgery with biopsy are essential for diagnosis. Case report. We present a rare and unusual case of a 66-year-old female patient with facial nerve paralysis that appeared as the first sign of metastatic breast cancer in the temporal bone 10 years after treatment. A sudden hearing loss and dizziness occurred six months later, and the value of CA 15-3 was elevated. Scintigraphy pointed to susceptible metastatic deposits of the axial skeleton without lesions in the temporal bone. Finally, repeated computed tomography revealed osteolytic changes in the temporal bone six months after that. Immunohistochemical analysis of mastoid tissue samples confirmed that it was a breast cancer metastasis. One year after palliative radiotherapy and oral hormone therapy, a patient had a good general condition with a better function of the facial nerve. Conclusion. A high degree of clinical suspicion sometimes requires repeated radio-logical diagnostics in order to detect osteolytic metastatic changes in the temporal bone but also in other bone structures within the hematogenous dissemination of the malignant disease.

The aim of this paper is to review and summarize the theoretical and empirical facts of using the (BMI), (body mass index) in determining the relationship between body constitution and motor skills. Several key circumstances have been identified in which the body mass index can give erroneous information about the actual body composition, and especially about the amount of adipose tissue in the body. Factors such as age, sex, race, health status and muscle mass can influence the connection between(BMI) and body fat. Due to a relatively low coefficient of determination between (BMI)and percentage of body fat, one should be cautious when using (BMI) to evaluate body composition as a predictor of obesity or as a substitution measure in evaluating the influence of body constitution on the efficiency of motor performances. The analysis of the sources indicates that the existence of unexplained facts uses alternative measures of body composition and their limited use in research and direct training practice. Therefore, new concepts and models are necessary in order to explain the influence of body composition on the efficiency of motor performance. Apart from the necessary evaluation of variables of percentages of fatty and muscle tissues, it could be assumed that the application of two component (BMI) = (FFMI+FMI), (Fat Free Mass Index, Fat Mass Index) and/or (MFR) model (Muscle to Fat Ratio) would provide a better comprehension of these relations.

The aim of this paper is to analyse descriptive and causal factors of basketball development in Serbia, particularly following the country's independence (2006) to this day. The paper presents the development path of "the game under two elevated hoops", since its arrival to Belgrade in the 1920s, through the challenges and successes in various state communities, since the State of Slovenes, Croats and Serbs (1918-1929), the Kingdom of Yugoslavia (1929-1945), the Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia (1945-1992), the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia (1992-2003), the State of Union of Serbia and Montenegro (2003-2006), to the Republic of Serbia. The paper shows the participation in the Yugoslav basketball, as well as the events that marked the period of full independence of the Republic of Serbia. The results of the national teams are shown, including the contribution of the national basketball organization .The analysis has included the condition of senior and age categories, coach and referee organizations. Serbian basketball has shown originality in creating Yugoslav basketball, with continuing to be successful also in the independent country, which gives credibility and justifies the marketing and promotional campaigns of the national basketball federation that Serbia is the country of basketball.

During the period of ten weeks, a study has been conducted on the effects of a complex training method on the maximal isometric muscle force, its peaking time, and the rate of force development in the semi-squat test. The participants of the study were twenty junior basketball players (average age 16.4+/-0.7; mean body height 186.2cm+/-9.2; mean body weight 75,4+/-7.5kg; mean body fat percentage 12,83%+/-1.15). The participants were divided into experimental (n=10) and control group (n=10). The experimental group, besides technical-tactical training sessions, had additional complex training, while the control group had technical-tactical training sessions only. At the final testing, the results of maximal isometric muscle force and the explosive power index, have significantly improved in the experimental group, while the control group did not make significant progress. There were no significant changes in the maximal isometric muscle force's peak time at the final testing. The study findings indicate that application of the complex training method has positive effects on the development of maximal isometric force, and the rate of force development.

The aim of this study was to identify several morphological characteristics and speed-strength abilities in basketball players aged 10 and 11, and to determine possible differences between them, connected with their age. The research was conducted on a sample of 84 young basketball players aged 10 (N=46) and 11 (N=38). The following motor variables were measured: shoulder explosiveness (throwing the ball from basketball position), leg explosiveness (vertical jump), speed strength of the trunk (sit up exercises in 10 seconds), stamina in speed strength of the trunk (sit up exercises in 30 seconds), the speed of changing the direction of moving (agility T-test), acceleration (running for 5 and 20 meters). The following morphological variables were also measured: body height, body mass, percentage of body fat and percentage of muscle tissue. The aim of this study was to determine prevalence of obesity of children of primary school age from several randomly chosen primary schools in Belgrade, and to suggest preventive measures, which can be done, primarily during children's stay at school. The study points at the real need for creating programmed physical activities of students within the classes of Physical education. This is done with hope to provoke some activities of relevant institutions - from some Ministries, Faculty of Sport and Pre School and Primary School institutions.. Application of least general, and individual programmes which school could offer, will enable urgent prophylactic therapy - change of life style. In our country, there is an insufficient number of the research of these issues, so they need to be actualized. There are not clear national standards of growth and development of children, and this additionally makes the problem of monitoring more difficult. Struggle against obesity should be an inseparable part first of basic educational and pedagogical work which is very important in the process of development and identity of a child. Knowledge about the frequency of health problem at the level of children's population, which is particularly a vulnerable group, enables further evaluation of undertaken preventive measures and better control of illness. The research has been conceptualized and performed as the epidemiological section study. The research was realized in December 2013. Measuring morphological characteristics of children were done in standardized procedures. One of the most innovative ways of estimation and analysis of the body contents was used in realization (Body-impedance system), by using analysators of impendence. Laser anthrop meter of high precision was used in realization of estimation of longitude dimension. Results were stated with suitable standards according to age, which were taken form world most prestigious organizations, which deal with actual issues of children (WHO - World Health Organisation, NCHS - National Centre for Health Statistics in collaboration with the National Centre for Chronic Disease Prevention anđ Health Promotion ECOG-European Childhood Obesity Group). Comparing results of this research with results of similar research in the world, it can be assumed that children of primary school age in Belgrade are in greater percent overweight and obese in comparison to their peers in other parts of Serbia, an developed countries, particularly Europe and USA. Measurement results were processed by standard descriptive statistics (average, minimal and maximal values and standard deviations) with the aid of statistical programme SPSS/20. Calculating percentage values results was done by special applicative software. Results gained in this study differ in some variables, whereas in other variables they are complement with the results gained in different studies, so that special differences in values of the measured variables in comparison the common ones cannot be observed. Nevertheless, it is a warning sign that shows maximal results of BMI index. Given results and applied methodology in this research can be the basis for undertaking suitable preventive measures for solving this growing health problem of children. Within the activities at school, it is necessary to urgently start a unique, whole and long-lasting multidisciplinary programme of this aspect of health prot3ction of school population. This sort of programme should include promotional activities, obtaining prevention, education of different target groups (students, parents, teachers, class teachers, and media), obtaining and giving needed regular diagnostic and therapeutic services for obese children adolescents, and giving significance to Physical education classes.
