Abstract

PURPOSE: Compared with people living without HIV (PWOH), people living with HIV (PWH) and cancer have traditionally been excluded from immune checkpoint inhibitor (ICI) trials. Furthermore, there is a paucity of real-world data on the use of ICIs in PWH and cancer. METHODS: This retrospective study included PWH treated with anti-PD-1- or anti-PD-L1-based therapies for advanced cancers. Kaplan-Meier method was used to estimate overall survival (OS) and progression-free survival (PFS). Objective response rates (ORRs) were measured per RECIST 1.1 or other tumor-specific criteria, whenever feasible. Restricted mean survival time (RMST) was used to compare OS and PFS between matched PWH and PWOH with metastatic NSCLC (mNSCLC). RESULTS: Among 390 PWH, median age was 58 years, 85% (n = 331) were males, 36% (n = 138) were Black; 70% (n = 274) received anti-PD-1/anti-PD-L1 monotherapy. Most common cancers were NSCLC (28%, n = 111), hepatocellular carcinoma ([HCC]; 11%, n = 44), and head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSCC; 10%, n = 39). Seventy percent (152/216) had CD4+ T cell counts ≥200 cells/µL, and 94% (179/190) had HIV viral load

Abstract

In order to obtain different working speeds under different conditions, the required output speed can change evenly within a certain range, so that the speed and power output can reach a better balance point, so as to reduce energy consumption. At this time, it is necessary to use continuously variable transmission (CVT). At present, most CVT devices on the market can achieve a small speed range, which is insufficient in the case of large-span transmission. A high-efficiency long-span continuously variable transmission is studied, a long-span transmission ratio cone disc composite continuously variable transmission is proposed, the torque and speed formula of this new type of transmission are deduced, and the maximum span ratio of the continuous variation range of output speed is obtained. The power transmission path of this new transmission is analyzed, and an efficient power transmission path is obtained. The transmission has the characteristics of high transmission power, high transmission efficiency and wide transmission ratio span.

Abstract

Based on the linear laser displacement sensor, this research constructs a device which can measure the multiple deviations online of large gears. In this device, the tooth profile of the gear can be scanned by the linear laser displacement sensor, and the data of any tooth surface of the gear can be measured. The tooth profile curve of the gear can be fitted based on the least square method, and compared with the ideal model of the gear, the tooth profile and tooth distance deviation of the gear can be calculated by combining the radial polar coordinate angle comparison method. The measuring device proposed in this research is small in size, light in weight and easy to carry. The measuring method adopted is efficient and the gear deviation measured is accurate and reliable.

17. E-Tree Learning: A Novel Decentralized Model Learning Framework for Edge AI

Abstract

Traditionally, AI models are trained on the central cloud with data collected from end devices. This leads to high communication cost, long response time and privacy concerns. Recently Edge empowered AI, namely Edge AI, has been proposed to support AI model learning and deployment at the network edge closer to the data sources. Existing research including federated learning adopts a centralized architecture for model learning where a central server aggregates the model updates from the clients/workers. The centralized architecture has drawbacks such as performance bottleneck, poor scalability and single point of failure. In this paper, we propose a novel decentralized model learning approach, namely E-Tree, which makes use of a well-designed tree structure imposed on the edge devices. The tree structure and the locations and orders of aggregation on the tree are optimally designed to improve the training convergency and model accuracy. In particular, we design an efficient device clustering algorithm, named by KMA, for E-Tree by taking into account the data distribution on the devices as well as the the network distance. Evaluation results show E-Tree significantly outperforms the benchmark approaches such as federated learning and Gossip learning under NonIID data in terms of model accuracy and convergency., Comment: IEEE Internet of Things Journal, 2020

Abstract

Graded bulk-heterojunction (G-BHJ) with well-defined vertical phase separation has potential to surpass classical BHJ in organic solar cells (OSCs). In this work, an effective G-BHJ strategy via nonhalogenated solvent sequential deposition is demonstrated using nonfullerene acceptor (NFA) OSCs. Spin-coated G-BHJ OSCs deliver an outstanding 17.48% power conversion efficiency (PCE). Depth-profiling X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (DP-XPS) and angle-dependent grazing incidence X-ray diffraction (GI-XRD) techniques enable the visualization of polymer/NFA composition and crystallinity gradient distributions, which benefit charge transport, and enable outstanding thick OSC PCEs (16.25% for 300 nm, 14.37% for 500 nm), which are among the highest reported. Moreover, the nonhalogenated solvent enabled G-BHJ OSC via open-air blade coating and achieved a record 16.77% PCE. The blade-coated G-BHJ has drastically different D-A crystallization kinetics, which suppresses the excessive aggregation induced unfavorable phase separation in BHJ. All these make G-BHJ a feasible and promising strategy towards highly efficient, eco- and manufacture friendly OSCs.

Abstract

In order to ensure the normal working state of oval arc tooth line cylindrical gears under bad working conditions, reduce its vibration and noise, and improve its transmission characteristics, the transmission dynamic characteristics of oval arc tooth line cylindrical gear pairs are analyzed. Aiming at the analysis of transmission speed fluctuation of gear pairs under different radius of arc tooth lines, different tooth widths and different speeds, the kinematics and dynamics simulations of oval arc tooth line cylindrical gear pairs are carried out using the Adams software, and the influence rules of three different conditions on gear speed fluctuation are obtained, which provide help for the selection of geometric parameters and determination of processing parameters of involute oval arc tooth cylindrical gears.
