A introdução dos ebooks nas bibliotecas académicas levanta questões sobre a sua pertinência na composição das coleções, apesar das múltiplas vantagens que lhes são reconhecidas como a portabilidade, facilidade de acesso e preço. Nos dias de hoje docentes, estudantes e investigadores podem, graças a esta tecnologia, ter acesso à informação necessária a qualquer hora e em qualquer lugar num regime 24/7. O estudo efetuado pretende analisar a utilização dos ebooks na Biblioteca da Universidade de Aveiro por parte dos docentes, investigadores e estudantes, com o objetivo de compreender a sua utilização pela comunidade académica, bem como tentar perceber as suas expetativas sobre este formato. Para este fim foram aplicados dois questionários aos docentes e estudantes partindo da análise de questionários similares aplicados em universidades portuguesas e estrangeiras. Os resultados obtidos pelos docentes dão-nos indicação de que não têm em conta o tipo de formato na seleção da bibliografia para as unidades curriculares e que continuam a preferir o suporte papel. Os resultados dos estudantes apontam para uma evolução no uso de ebooks, apesar de valorizarem o suporte papel, particularmente no que toca ao acesso ao documento a qualquer hora do dia em qualquer lugar. Recomenda-se que a biblioteca da Universidade de Aveiro atue de uma forma mais próxima dos estudantes dos distintos ciclos de estudos fornecendo indicações sobre localização da literatura em suporte analógico e digital recomendada para cada unidade curricular. Por outro lado, tendo em conta o volume de informação em formato digital e a sua rápida acessibilidade, a aposta neste formato beneficia o seu acesso 24/7, o que deveria ser tido em conta pelos professores aquando da indicação da bibliografia. The introduction of ebooks in academic libraries raises questions about its relevance in the composition of collections, despite the many advantages for which they are recognized such as portability, easy access and cost. Nowadays, teachers, students and researchers can, thanks to this technology, access the necessary information anytime, anywhere, on a 24/7 basis. The conducted study aims to analyze the use of ebooks in the Library of the University of Aveiro by teachers, researchers and students, in order to understand its use by the academic community and try to understand their expectations about this format. For this purpose, two questionnaires were applied to teachers and students. The information obtained from the teacher’s questionnaires show us that they do not take into account the type of format while selecting the bibliography for the curricular units, and that they still prefer the paper format. As to the student´s information, it points to an evolution in what the use of ebooks is concerned, although they also recognize the value of the paper format, particularly because of the easy access of documents - anytime, anywhere. Similar works were used for the preparation of these questionnaires, previously applied both in Portuguese and foreign universities. As a recommendation, I suggest some advantageous tasks / activities that the library of the University of Aveiro could apply to the students and teachers groups, such as displaying links and location of the recommended literature for each curricular course, making its access faster and giving preference to digital format.

RESUMO O melanocitoma do disco óptico é um tumor benigno, com pouca predisposição a transformação maligna para melanoma. Geralmente é assintomático, contudo deve ser avaliado periodicamente com exames, sendo um deles a campimetria computadorizada que se encontra alterada em 90% dos casos. Relatamos o caso de um homem de 61 anos sem diagnóstico prévio de melanocitoma do disco óptico. Discute-se a importância de um diagnóstico diferencial com melanoma e acompanhamento seriado do paciente. ABSTRACT The optic disc melanocytoma is a benign tumor, with little predisposition to become a melanoma. It is usually asymptomatic, nonetheless should be evaluated periodically, most often by computerized perimetry, which in 9 out of 10 cases will show some alteration. In the following paper we report the case of 61 years old man without previous diagnosis of optic disc melanocytoma and discuss the importance of melanoma differential diagnosis and monitoring.

A importância da escrita é algo inquestionável, pois dependemos desta para as mais diversas tarefas no nosso quotidiano. Assim, esta assume-se como fundamental no âmbito da educação, dado ser transversal a todas as áreas disciplinares. Assim, importa que as crianças compreendam, a importância da escrita, bem como as regras que lhe são inerentes e a adaptação que deve sofrer face a cada contexto em que é utilizada. Não obstante a esta necessidade, a aprendizagem da escrita é um processo complexo, sendo por isso importante que o professor assuma o papel de orientador e disponibilize às crianças estratégias e materiais que a auxilie. Na presente investigação, onde o foco é a aprendizagem da escrita de textos narrativos, recorri à utilização de guiões de planificação textual, bem como à avaliação formativa, mais propriamente ao feedback escrito. Através destas ferramentas, os alunos tiveram a oportunidade de, por um lado, contactarem com a estrutura deste tipo de texto e, por outro, usufruírem da avaliação formativa para autorregularem as suas aprendizagens e as suas dificuldades. Considerando o anteriormente exposto, a presente dissertação tem como objetivo expor o resultado da minha investigação, assente num paradigma socio crítico e usufruindo de uma metodologia próxima da investigação-ação. Esta desenvolveu-se numa turma de 2º ano de escolaridade, num período de 7 semanas, tendo como objetivos: perceber a influência e a importância da utilização de guiões de estruturação de texto na produção de narrativas; e compreender como os alunos utilizam os feedbacks para melhorar os seus textos narrativos. Assim, a questão-problema delineada foi: “De que forma os guiões de apoio à construção de texto e o feedback contribuem para a melhoria dos textos narrativos?”. Os dispositivos e procedimentos de recolha de dados foram a observação participante, o inquérito por entrevista e a análise documental, tendo sido analisadas as produções de 3 alunos, em diferentes níveis de desenvolvimento na área de Português. A análise de dados permitiu-me perceber que as estratégias utilizadas auxiliaram estes alunos a compreenderem a estrutura do texto narrativo. The importance of writing is something unquestionable, for we depend on it to execute a great number of tasks daily. Therefore, this is assumed as fundamental in education, as it is cross-disciplinary. In this sense, it is important that the children understand since an early age the importance of writing, as well as the rules that are inherent to it and the adaptation it must go under given the context in where it is used. Regardless of this need, the learning of writing is a complex process, so it is important that the teacher takes the role of mentor and make strategies and materials available for the children. In this investigation, where the main focus is the learning of narrative writing, I turned to the use of text planning guidelines, as well as to formative assessment, more exactly to written feedback. With these tools, the students had the chance to, in one hand work with this type of text structure, and on the other hand to enjoy the formative assessment to self-regulate their learning and define their difficulties, being indispensable that they build, with the teacher, the way to address them. Considering what I subjected before, this dissertation has as its objective to expose the result of my investigation, grounded on a socio-critical paradigm and benefiting from an investigation-action methodology. This investigation has been developed in a 2nd grade class, during a seven week period, with the following objectives: understand the influence and the importance of using text structuring guidelines when producing narratives; and comprehend how students use the feedback to improve their narratives. Thus, the question-problem outlined was: "In what way do the text planning guidelines and the feedback contribute to improve narratives?" The devices and procedures of data collection were participating observation, the interview inquiry and documentary analysis. There were analyzed the productions of three students, in different levels of development in the Portuguese subject. The analysis of data allowed me to understand that the strategies used have helped these students to better comprehend the narrative text structure.
