This paper critically examines the concept of collaboration, and how it can be mobilised in policy and practice in the pursuit of educational change in the context of the Scottish education system. Policy analysis and interviews with primary school headteachers highlighted the lack of definitional agreement but common conceptual characteristics of collaboration, and the implications of this for how it is led and governed in the pursuit of change. Highlighted in this paper is the complex interplay between forms of, influences on, and drivers of collaboration and how this results in varied outcomes of it. It is argued that collaboration across systems should be focused, purposeful, and supported with high levels of trust from those involved or enabling it to happen, and meso- and macro-level structures which are flexible to enable diverse forms of collaboration to emerge. This paper presents a framework for collaboration that supports the complex consideration of the interrelated domains of forms, influences, and drivers of collaboration, and the leadership practices and governance arrangements necessary for collaboration to lead to improvement and change. - Abstract
Background: Multi-disciplinary Meetings (MDM) play a crucial role in complex patient care, involving input from various specialties to formulate evidence-based management plans. However, traditional unidirectional approaches and reliance on manual processes have led to inefficiencies in the MDM pathway. Aims: This study identified and aimed to improve four critical moments where Information Communication Technologies (ICTs) could enhance the MDM process. Initial referral, information synthesis, meeting presentation and the creation of actionable/auditable items. Methods: Microsoft Office Forms, a customisable survey platform, was implemented to streamline MDM processes. Forms were created to gather patient information, develop agendas, and track outcomes. Automation through Excel scripting further optimised data organisation and agenda creation. Results: Referrals using Forms takes an average of 7 min and 21 s. Over 15 months the submission time has reduced and is trending towards under 5 min for each referral. The system's scalability has allowed 1744 cases to be discussed over a 15-month period. Active departments using Forms is expanding to seven from two prior to the pilot. Conclusion(s): Microsoft Office Forms proved to be a valuable and adaptable tool for MDMs, offering benefits such as streamlined information gathering, real-time collaboration, and scalability. The study highlights the potential of existing tools within Microsoft licenses for healthcare process optimisation, providing a cost-effective and customisable solution for MDM agendas. While recognising some limitations, the study concludes that leveraging Microsoft Office Forms can significantly improve system efficiency in a multi-disciplinary setting. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

4. Plato on the Power of Dialectic and the Necessity of Forms.

In the Parmenides Plato claims that by relinquishing Forms one would entirely destroy tên tou dialegesthai dunamin. I argue that this peculiar phrase does not indicate, as often suggested, the power or possibility of all discourse or thought, but the power of dialectic, i. e. the highest science; and that its preservation is, for Plato, a decisive reason for the necessity of the Forms. TIMBERLINE , *DIALECTIC , *SIGNS & symbols , *TREES - Abstract
The aim of this essay is to show that the dialogue Sophist displays to us the mature conception of Forms in Plato’s philosophy. Such a conception differs in several important aspects from the initial conception of Forms presented in the so-called middle dialogues, especially in the Books V-VII of the Republic. In order to do so, my argumentative and rhetorical strategy consists in making the contrast between the image of the divided line explicitly proposed by Plato in the Republic as a symbol of that initial conception with the image of the tree of Forms as the symbolic image of the mature conception. Although not directly proposed by Plato, such an image, derived from Porphyry’s Isagoge, directly stems from the division method worked out in the Sophist. Through the contrast between these two symbolic images, I present initially the differences between the conceptions of Forms inscribed in the image of the divided line and the image of the tree of Forms. Next, I present two fundamental differences between these conceptions. The first concerns two distinct images of the dialectic present in the Republic and in the Sophist. The second consists in the erasure of the fundamental difference between dianoia and nous in the Republic, giving place to the supremacy of the dianoia in the Sophist. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

IMAGINATION , *SOCIAL theory , *STRUCTURAL dynamics , *SOCIAL influence , *SOCIOLOGICAL research - Abstract
This article introduces a relational approach to studying imaginaries of the future, emphasising their significance in comprehending present realities and the ongoing processes that interweave our social fabric. It posits 'imaginaries of the future' as a pivotal sociological concept for understanding the reciprocal social influences and uneven structural dynamics shaping the present. This work engages in a theoretical discourse, spotlighting the role of the future in contemporary social landscapes, while endorsing the suitability of the concept of imaginaries to elucidate how we collectively interlace our present through implicit dialogues with latent, emergent futures and glimpses of radical imagination. In this article, we advocate for sociological research on 'imaginaries', discussing the concept's relevance to sociological theory and research. In addition, we make a case for examining futures as a subject of sociological research. Finally, we propose a conceptual framework for analysing imaginaries of the future from a relational sociological perspective, fostering interdisciplinary dialogue. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Introduction: The scientific literature supports the limited effect of the Advance Directives Document (ADD) in clinical decision-making. There are implementation barriers that prevent the fulfillment its purpose. The content of the ADD has not been explored in Colombia. Objective: To describe the contents of the ADD used in the pain and palliative care services. Methods: Cross-sectional study. Based on the national legislation and the rights that may be included in an ADD as described in the scientific literature, a checklist was designed with 20 variables to assess the forms, collecting data on the legal validity criteria and the contents for specific clinical and ethical directives. A predefined scale was used to describe the overall content of the form. Results: A total of 24 forms around the country were analyzed; the most comprehensive document included 14 of the 20 variables evaluated. In accordance with the definition used, 70 % of the forms had a maximum of 10 variables and were classified as "low content". Four forms were not formalized and only the forms formalized before the treating physician met the legal standard. 50 % of the forms included closed statements. Conclusions: The ADD forms exhibit a number of inadequacies in terms of the legal and clinical criteria for a high quality content, leading to difficulties for their applicability in the clinical setting. In Colombia, a standard form validated by the palliative care associations is required. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

- Abstract
The article analyzes the key concepts of "communication" and "professional communication" from the point of view of an activity approach, because communication not only activates the consciousness of the subject, but also provides rational knowledge regarding the choice of social goals and means of their achievement. The specificity of the social work specialist's communicative activity is determined, which is aimed at changing individuals, groups and other social systems, at the development of one's own personality, colleagues and clients. The analysis of communication technologies taking place in social work is shown. The peculiarities of the communicative potential of social work, the improvement of the efficiency of professional communication, the identification of signs of communication in social work in the conditions of the information society, the identification of the most demanded mechanisms of interaction, the clarification of new functions and professional roles of social workers are analyzed. The need to update the principles and methods of communicative activity in social work, the approval of new communication technologies in accordance with the dynamics of social relations, the level of development of technical capabilities and the needs of modern society are substantiated. Special attention is paid to Internet communication, its advantages and limitations, problems and prospects of using the latest communication technologies are determined. Emphasis is placed on the system of social assistance, which does not always respond to the challenges of the times in a timely manner. One of the reasons for this situation is that the communicative potential of social work, which includes the development, adaptation, and implementation of various technologies for organizing professional interaction in social work, is insufficiently researched and used. New studies of the possibilities of organization and directions of development of professional communication in the activity of a specialist in the social sphere in modern conditions are considered [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Populations of laurel poplar (Populus laurifolia Ledeb.) in the basins of the Tom and Chulyshman rivers, which are characterized by polymorphism in bark color, were studied. The most obvious morphological feature that marks these forms is the base of the leaf blade – rounded-wedge-shaped in gray bark and heart-shaped in white bark forms. The population of the river Chulyshman, differs from the plantations of the Tom’ basin by a sharp predominance of the ovate-triangular (75.5 %) shape of the leaf blade and the absence of elliptical leaves. There is a predominance of intrapopulation variability, which is typical for poplar. The interpopulation component in terms of quality features accounts for 11.8 %, in terms of phenotypes 23.8 %, which indicates the average differentiation of the studied plantations. The conducted studies have shown that the observed relationship between the blade morphology and form polymorphism is characteristic not only for the plantations of the river basin. Tom, but in general for laurel poplar. It has been established that polymorphism in different parts of the range is not an adaptation to moisture regimes, but probably reflects the distribution history of the species. The observed relationship between the populations of Tom and Chulyshman is explained by the evolution of the river system of the Altai-Sayan mountainous country. The Chulyshman River from the Oligocene to the Upper Pleistocene (30–40 thousand years ago) was part of a single river system, which also included sections of the Biya, Kondoma, and Tom. Considering that laurel poplar arose in the Neogene, and the formation of laurel poplar forests spread widely in the Middle Pleistocene, its white-bark and gray-bark forms probably populated this ancient river system even before the formation of Lake Teletskoe.

Several concepts are addressed in the article: culture, national culture, universal culture, consumerist culture. The most significant definitions of the respective terms, launched by such notorious anthropologists as E. Tylor, James Frazer, Robert Lowie, A.L. Kroeberand C. Kluckhohn, A. Mihu, G. Troc, Al. Tănase etc. are updated and analyzed. The author opted for those definitions and theories, which caused, first of all, contradictory discussions and that have largely contributed to the elucidation of the meanings of the concept. At the same time, several perspectives for defining the concept of culture were insisted upon: synthetic-analytical, determinism, relations, „culture-civilization”, „culture-environment”, „culture-nature”, „culture-individual/social consciousness”, „culture - human personality”. The scientific approach is in accordance with the historical period in which we live, dominated by the phenomenon of globalization, by modern relativism and skepticism, by the devaluation of humanistic principles, including cultural values.

The aim of the article is to substantiate the mechanism for managing the financial security of an insurance company in the context of endogenous and exogenous risks, threats and hazards. It is proved that the economic essence of the concept of «financial security of the insurer» can be interpreted on the basis of system, system-activity, state, resource, criterion, indicator, risk- and strategically oriented approaches. It is proposed to consider the financial security of the insurer as a complex characteristic of its activities, which reflects the ability to manage finances, accumulate insurance premiums, fulfill obligations in the face of existing risks, threats and hazards of exogenous and endogenous nature. It is proved that ensuring the financial security of the insurer is based on an effective mechanism specific to each insurance company, depends on the purpose, financial and economic activities of the company, the level of its security and forms, methods and levers of its provision. The mechanism for managing the financial security of an insurance company has been improved, which is based on the definition of targets, forms, methods, levers, management tools, regulatory and information support. An approach to improving the mechanism for managing the insurer’s financial security has been developed, which is based on determining the targets of the insurer’s financial security, analyzing and evaluating the dynamics of the main indicators and activity coefficients, the existing methodological instrumentarium for assessing the level of the insurer’s security and substantiating the most acceptable methods, selecting financial security indicators, calculating the indicators of financial security, determining the level of the insurer’s financial security. Prospects for further research are the development of methodical tools and indicators for assessing the level of financial security of the insurer in the context of existential risks, threats and hazards.

There has been little research into poetry classification and the potential to access poems by form and genre. The categories listed in the Library of Congress Genre/Form Terms (LCGFT), Wikipedia, Amazon.com, and the poetry-sharing platform, PoetrySoup, were compared through a systematic mapping process. It was found that LCGFT coverage is more extensive for poetry than fiction, but all four sources' coverage is limited. Beyond a small core of well-established forms and genres, poetry is classified in many less well-known ways, with many categories based on form, as well as a wide range of other characteristics, including some very specific ones. The question of ontological commitment in Plato's Hippias Major has been important in disputes over the dialogue's place in the corpus, its meaning, and its authenticity. But this question seems to have been settled—the Hippias Major is not committed to the 'forms.' Such an ontological conclusion has been vigorously defended, but its defenses rest on a problematic meta-ontological framework. This paper suggests a more adequate framework and brings more evidence to the evaluation of the question of ontological commitment in the Hippias Major. It concludes that the dialogue is indeed committed to some kind of form. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

The introduction of modal verbs in English textbooks across levels in China was surveyed and compared with Chinese learners' use in writing to explore the potential impact of textbook introduction on learners' real use. The results have revealed (1) divergences between the sequence of modal verb presentation in textbooks and their frequency order in native speakers' use, the unusual lower coverage of WOULD and early introduction of SHALL in particular; (2) the imbalanced coverage of different forms and senses of modal verbs in textbooks, notwithstanding that learners deploy some senses or forms in writing even if these usages have not been introduced; and (3) the constrained way of introduction--English to Chinese translation in vocabulary, simple explanation and exemplification in sentence context. Core senses and fundamental forms introduced early in textbooks are used most frequently in learners' writing. Modal verbs with the perfect aspect structure and their associated senses introduced in textbooks at university levels rarely occur in learners' writing even at advanced levels. Limited agreement between textbook introduction and learners' use has been detected. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

- Abstract
In the modern conditions of full-scale Russian-Ukrainian war, the problem of nationalpatriotic education of future officers in military institutions of higher education of Ukraine emerges with all urgency. The priority of the formation of patriotic qualities in the officers of military institutions of higher education plays a key role in the readiness for conscious defense of the Motherland, which is the main task assigned to the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the conditions of hostilities with the enemy. The level of formation of patriotic qualities in future officers depends on the effectiveness of education of relevant properties in the personnel of military units and units, which determines their ability to selflessly fulfill the constitutional duty to consciously protect the Motherland. The basis of the formation of national self-awareness is the education of a conscientious officer, citizen, and patriot. National self-awareness is not an innate quality, it is formed during the life of an individual. At the current stage of Ukraine's development, when the threat of losing state independence and the country's integrity has increased, national-patriotic education in the military sphere has a priority role. The main aspect is the education of national-patriotic feeling in young officers, devotion to the defense of the state, on a national scale. The purpose of this article is to analyze the domestic experience of national-patriotic education in the military sphere of the late 20th - early 21st centuries. An integral part of the national-patriotic education of officers and personnel of the military forces is the formation of readiness to defend the Motherland. In the conditions of a full-scale war, education as a social phenomenon needs rethinking, development of new approaches and strategies in the development of a system of education of national-patriotic qualities in young officers and personnel in representatives of power structures. The external attributes of the army were also of great importance for the establishment of the national-patriotic upbringing of young officers: firstly, the development of new models of military uniforms and insignia; secondly, the approval of the provisions on military awards; thirdly, honorary names of military units that had a national historical origin. Thus, an important aspect of the investigated problem is the tendency to change the system of national-patriotic education in military institutions of higher education in the late 20th and early 21st centuries. This happened both at the legislative level and by filling the system of nationalpatriotic education with new content. The activities of the collectives of military institutions of higher education are aimed at: first, the formation of the national-patriotic consciousness of cadets; secondly, the awakening of national pride for the Ukrainian people; thirdly, hardening of patriotic consciousness; fourthly, training cadets to protect the independence of Ukraine, its state sovereignty. High results of educational work with cadets of institutions of higher education are ensured thanks to the inseparability of goals, the purpose of education in the conditions of both classroom and extra-auditory activities of the teaching staff of military higher education institutions. Turning to the historical experience of implementing the implementation of the national idea strengthens the search for ways to implement the national idea in the national-patriotic education of future officers in military institutions of higher education of Ukraine. Since effective educational work can be carried out under the conditions of a close combination of the achievements of cadets during educational and practical classes in military institutions of higher education of Ukraine with combat achievements of graduates of military institutions of higher education while protecting the territorial integrity of Ukraine, it is worth considering the possibilities of wider use of the potential of participants in hostilities for the formation of a patriotic consciousness and patriotic feelings. Today, the problem of nationalpatriotic education of young officers is becoming particularly acute, since the future of Ukraine as an independent, sovereign state depends on its solution. This article explores the complexities surrounding the modern understanding of the forms and methods of state control in economic activities. It sheds light on the diversity of viewpoints within the scholarly community concerning the interpretation of "form" and "method" in legal terminology, which leads to varied definitions and understandings of how control is implemented through these concepts. The paper notes the presence of two traditional frameworks for distinguishing between forms and methods in scientific discourse, arguing that compiling a comprehensive catalog of forms or methods of control is unfeasible for large-scale systems, such as state oversight in economic matters. It underscores the challenge of delineating the variety of forms and methods of state control and calls for a focused examination of the interplay between these concepts in economic regulation by detailing their key attributes, interactions, and by highlighting the fundamental forms and methods necessary for effective control. The author introduces a novel perspective on the "form" and "method" categories of state control in economic activities, suggesting a fresh approach to organizing these methods. - Abstract
The article discloses the forms and methods of legal regulation of consumer rights protection regarding waste management at the state level. It is emphasized that the state policy of Ukraine in the field of waste management is based on several basic principles. It is designed to protect the environment and human health from the negative impact of waste, to ensure the rational use of material, raw materials and energy resources, as well as scientifically based coordination of ecological, economic and social interests of society to achieve sustainable development. It has been established that today, the most widespread method of waste treatment in Ukraine is its disposal in landfills, terrykons, sludge and tailings storage facilities, as well as in landfills. This leads to the occupation of large areas of fertile land and becomes a source of air pollution, and leachates penetrate into the soil and groundwater. However, it is important to consider that waste can become a source of secondary resources and serve as a source of energy. Therefore, humanity faces the task of widely implementing advanced technologies to prevent and limit the generation of waste, as well as for its disposal, regeneration and safe disposal, processing of non-recyclable waste. As a conclusion, it is said that the development of society and the satisfaction of its needs interact with natural resources, which leads to a significant generation of industrial waste. The problem of waste management is recognized as one of the most urgent in the modern world and is a priority for developed countries. Due to the large volume of waste, Ukraine is facing a particularly acute situation. Based on the analysis, conclusions are drawn and recommendations are formulated for the further development of legislation and waste management practices in order to ensure effective protection of consumer rights in the international context. This article serves as a valuable contribution to the understanding and improvement of consumer protection systems in the context of environmental challenges and waste management. The word "blessing" which first appears in the Bible is when Elohim blesses the creatures He created to reproduce and multiply in water and the air (Genesis 1:22). Elohim blessed humans to rule over nature and all creation (Genesis 1:28). Elohim blessed the Sabbath (Genesis 2: 3), he blessed people like Abraham (Genesis 12: 2-3; 18:18), Jacob (Genesis 28:14). Through Abraham, Elohim blesses his descendants and the nations. Blessings become 'human life' (Genesis 1:28). This research seeks to answer the questions: How does The Pentateuch speak of Elohim's Promise as a source of blessings? How does The Pentateuch speak of the authority of blessings? How does The Pentateuch speak of the purpose of a blessing? What about The Pentateuch is special? Talking about forms of blessing? How does The Pentateuch speak of the qualifications for blessings?. The results of Elohim's blessings can be divided into three major groups: (1) spiritual blessings are blessings related to powers that are beyond human strength, such as the blessing of salvation and the blessing of peace. (2) physical blessings are blessings that include physical needs (clothing, food, shelter, and health), such as blessings of long life, blessings of salvation, blessings of peace, blessings of flesh (blessings of long life, blessings of radiant faces), blessings of offspring, thanks to protection, thanks to wealth, thanks to prosperity, thanks to health, and thanks to honor. (3) The Blessing of Faith is a blessing given by Elohim because of his faith (belief; commitment), such as the blessing of obedience, the blessing of loving Elohim, the blessing of worshiping Elohim, and the blessing of influence. GUILT (Psychology) ,LEGAL liability ,JUSTICE administration - Abstract
In the legal context, intention represents the mental state of the perpetrator at the time of committing an act and can be classified into several forms. Direct intention involves actions with an explicit purpose, while indirect intention involves anticipating consequences and eventual intention involves accepting the risk of an undesirable outcome. A specific form, outdated intent, occurs when the perpetrator sets out for an outcome, but the consequences significantly exceed initial expectations. These concepts are fundamental in assessing legal responsibility and the degree of guilt within the legal system. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

To invoke Mnemosyne (goddess of memory in Greek mythology) is to invoke her daughter muses? If so then memory is always behind the imagination. The idea of the research grew out of interest to understand if architecture can be recognized as a physical manifestation of memory. The work is an attempt to demonstrate how remembering is experienced through architectural forms. Literature, psychological and architectural narratives provided a necessary guidance to understand where the conjunctions between the theory and empirical studies of memory lie. After the exploration of different theories comes the time to respond to the question whether memories can be matters of architecture and if they can become principal tools of form finding. SOMALIS ,VERBS ,INFLECTION (Grammar) ,GENERALIZATION ,SIMPLICITY - Abstract
The Somali verb is traditionally presented as having a quite large number of inflectional paradigms with, e.g., special negative forms and several kinds of subordinate clause forms. The complexity of traditional descriptions tends to overshadow important generalisations that would otherwise reflect a relative simplicity of the Somali verb system. The most important reasons for the abundance of paradigms are that forms, periphrastic constructions and their functions are not systematically differentiated, but also that the tonal accent and case marking are treated as parts of the inflection, instead of phrasal marking of syntactic or pragmatic functions. The aim of this article is therefore to suggest a simplified analysis and to define the minimal set of synthetic forms and analytical constructions that are necessary for the description of Somali verb inflection as well as the basic syntactic functions of these forms and constructions. SOUL ,TERMS & phrases ,REALISM - Abstract
What does Plato mean when he declares at Soph. 250b8 that Theaetetus is positing Being in his soul (ἐν τῇ ψυχῇ τιθείς) as a third something encompassing Change and Rest? Is he merely clarifying that the act of positing is a mental act? Or is he making a further point? This paper argues that the locution 'in the soul' plays a significant role in the passage in alerting to a contrast between the way Being and its relation to Change and Rest are intelligible to Theaetetus and the way Being really is and relates to those two other kinds. This interpretation is set against another interpretation, defended by Leigh, according to which the phrase should be understood as drawing a contrast between what is done by the agency of the soul and what is done by the agency of the body. The paper then explores the consequences of the proposed interpretation for our understanding of the broader context of the passage. In particular, it argues that the claim that Being is a third something encompassing Change and Rest is more problematic than critics have usually assumed. To account for Theaetetus' depiction, it develops the notion of 'conceived parthood', which are part-whole relations posited by the mind for the needs of a philosophical enquiry. - Abstract
Despite the overwhelming evidence that health and risk are multifactorial, medical texts that interface with publics continue to circulate logics of individual responsibility of health. This article analyzes patient medical history forms across different times and spaces to track the logics of individual responsibility that operate in the form in various contexts. The analysis finds logics of individual responsibility are enthymized through genetic causation and personal choice and makes the case that texts, including mundane forms, perform patient education and construct patients’ identifications with health, illness, and risk. SOCIAL history , *OBJECTIONS (Evidence) - Abstract
Traditionally, nature has often been thought to be structured by essential forms providing the generic features of natural things and thus the foundations for scientific explanations. In contrast, human history and the social domain have been thought to be the realm of ever‐changing appearances, where contingency prevails. The paper argues that the existence of essential forms is compatible with the contingent, mind‐dependent and historical character of the social world, and that essential forms can also be found in the social domain. Two categories of entities are discussed that suggest themselves to be identified as social forms, namely social kinds and social identities. To this end, it is shown that standard arguments for the existence of essential forms also apply to the social domain, and objections to the existence of social forms are rebutted. Particular attention is paid to the explanatory appeal of social forms. The paper concludes by suggesting that, far from being oppressive, essential social forms are presupposed by liberating social practices. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

ACTIVE learning , *LEARNING , *INTEGRATED learning systems , *SECONDARY education - Abstract
The article is pertinent as the approach to education in school is presently undergoing a troublesome period. Secondary education goals are evolving, with more and more new curricula and teaching approaches being developed, and activity-based education provisions being established and implemented. The quality of one's knowledge is determined by how one can use one's abilities and skills. Observed tendencies are closely connected with the creation and implementation of modern pedagogical technologies in the educational process. Non-traditional ways and forms of organizing education, including integrative ones, are beginning to be used in education. They encourage students to apprehend the world more promptly and shape an activity-based approach to learning. The objectives of integrated teaching are to generate the perfect environment for the expansion of students' thought processes throughout the teaching of different topics; to confront any disparities in the learning process; and to boost and develop students' eagerness for the referred to subjects. The article defines the purpose of integrated learning; outlines the conditions for effective integrated learning; investigates the principles on which integrated learning, its forms and models are based: the advantages and problem points of integrated learning are identified; the concept of cooperation in integrated learning is given; the role of neurodidactics in integrated learning is defined. GEOGRAPHIC information systems ,LANDFORMS ,GEOMORPHOLOGY ,SURFACE morphology - Abstract
A structural landform is defined by its surface morphology, controlled by tectonics, lithology (arrangement and resistance), and folded structures, and demonstrated by the characteristics and relationships between geological and geomorphic elements. It is very important to use geographic information system (GIS) technology to accurately describe and express elements of structural landforms and their relationships. In this study, a GIS approach for expressing structural landforms, based on "forms–elements–relationships", was developed. The contributions of this paper are as follows: (1) Combined with the surface morphological characteristics, the structural landforms were abstracted into geological and geomorphic elements, and the characteristics and relationships of these elements were analyzed. (2) The elements of structural landforms and their relationships were abstracted into spatial objects and topological relationships. The spatial objects of the structural landform were designed based on the types and characteristics of structural landform elements. The topological relationships were developed based on the definition of the structural landform morphotype. (3) The structural landform markup language (SLML) method of "forms–elements–relationships" was created. (4) Two typical structural landforms, namely, Qixia Mountain and Gaoli Mountain, were used as examples to verify the feasibility and effectiveness of the GIS approach for expressing structural landforms. This paper describes and expresses the "forms–elements–relationships" of structural landforms from the perspective of GIS, which is expected to promote the joint development of structural geomorphology and GIS. The work embodies the author’s view on how interstate integration and globalisation also affect public administration in a particular State, in particular, they introduce a passive role into the very understanding of the State, form a multiple range of actors, both external and internal, especially in the field of civil society, which take over the functions previously performed by the State direct certain areas of public authorities' activities to address global issues (transnational crime, the consequences of global environmental disasters, etc.), set trends at the level of public administration towards greater decentralisation of the competence of public authorities and, at the same time, towards globalisation of management of certain areas related to global climate change and other global problems. It is emphasised that in the newest understanding of the paradigm of relations between the modern State and civil society, there is a socially oriented vector of the State, which is diverse and closely related to the needs of the population. The state acts as a kind of “bridge” between society and the potential opportunities for its development and satisfaction of the widest possible range of needs, establishing the so-called “public relations” direction. The authors propose their own interpretation of public administration as the functioning of a public entity system established by the State, whose activities are aimed at ensuring sustainable development of the State in the process of providing administrative services, implementing laws and by-laws, and interacting with civil society in the national and international dimensions. The promising directions of interaction between the modern State and civil society, which are divided into separate forms, include interaction of the State with members of diasporas through various institutions and practices, interaction of the State with civil society institutions formed by higher education students, interaction of the State with civil society in the field of environmental security of the State.

The taxonomic position of some species and subspecies of the genus Pedinus Latreille, 1796 is revised. Two subspecies of the species Pedinus cimmerius G.S. Medvedev, 1968, occuring on the Lower Dnieper sands and sandy sea coasts of the Caucasus, are assigned to the species Pedinus femoralis (Linnaeus, 1767): P. femoralis caucasicus G.S. Medvedev, 1968 and P. femoralis znoikoi G.S. Medvedev, 1968. Pedinus cimmerius is well distinguished from all subspecies of P. femoralis by the structure of the male mesotibiae, which are characterized by the sharp angular emargination in the proximal third of the inner side, as well as strongly curved (from the extensor position) male metatibiae in the proximal third. The psammophilic form of Pedinus femoralis femoralis forma psammophila Nabozhenko, nov. is characterized. It includes a number of isolated populations from sands of the Don River basin and differs from the forma typica of the nominative subspecies in the absence of a longitudinal median fold and the presence of a hair brush on the inner surface of the hind tibiae of the male. A new key is compiled for the Pedinus species of the European part of Russia

BackgroundBridging factors are relational ties, formal arrangements, and processes that connect outer system and inner organizational contexts. They may be critical drivers of evidence-based practice (EBP) implementation and sustainment. Yet, the complex interplay between outer and inner contexts is often not considered. Bridging factors were recently defined in the updated Exploration, Preparation, Implementation, Sustainment (EPIS) framework. Further identification and specification of this construct will advance implementation models, measures, and methods. Our goal is to advance bridging factor research by identifying relevant dimensions and exemplifying these dimensions through illustrative case studies.MethodsWe used a multiple case study design. Each case (n = 10) represented different contexts, EBPs, and bridging factor types. Inclusion criteria were the presence of clearly distinguishable outer and inner contexts, identifiable bridging factor, sufficient information to describe how the bridging factor affected implementation, and variation from other cases. We used an iterative qualitative inquiry process to develop and refine a list of dimensions. Case data were entered into a matrix. Dimensions comprised the rows and case details comprised the columns. After a review of all cases, we collectively considered and independently coded each dimension as function or form.ResultsWe drew upon the concepts of functions and forms, a distinction originally proposed in the complex health intervention literature. Function dimensions help define the bridging factor and illustrate its purpose as it relates to EBP implementation. Form dimensions describe the specific structures and activities that illustrate why and how the bridging factor has been customized to a local implementation experience. Function dimensions can help researchers and practitioners identify the presence and purpose of bridging factors, whereas form dimensions can help us understand how the bridging factor may be designed or modified to support EBP implementation in a specific context. We propose five function and three form bridging factor dimensions.ConclusionsBridging factors are described in many implementation models and studies, but without explicit reference or investigation. Bridging factors are an understudied and critical construct that requires further attention to facilitate implementation research and practice. We present specific recommendations for a bridging factors research agenda.
