Bu makale, öğrencilerin akademik performansının otomatik olarak sınıflandırılmasında yaygın olarak kullanılan özelliklerin katkılarını analiz etmektedir. Bu sınıflandırma probleminde, çeşitli öznitelikler ve sınıflandırıcılar arasındaki ilişki, kapsamlı bir öznitelik seçim stratejisi kullanılarak analiz edilmiştir. Bu şekilde, en yüksek sınıflandırma performansını sağlayan optimal öznitelik alt kümesi elde edilmiştir. Bu amaçla 15 farklı öznitelik ve 480 örnekten oluşan bir akademik performans veri seti kullanılmıştır. Öznitelikler demografik, akademik geçmiş, ebeveyn katılımı ve davranışsal olmak üzere dört farklı kategoriye aittir. Örnekler, öğrenci başarısının düşük, orta ve yüksek seviyelerine karşılık gelen üç farklı sınıftandır. Değerlendirmeler için 10 farklı sınıflandırma algoritması kullanılmıştır. Kapsamlı deneysel analizler, öğrencilerin akademik performansını sınıflandırma doğruluğunun, özniteliklerin tamamı yerine yalnızca 8 tanesi kullanılarak, %79.40'a kadar artırılabileceğini ortaya koymaktadır., This paper analyzes the contributions of features widely used in the automatic classification of students’ academic performance. In this classification problem, the relationship between various features and classifiers is analyzed using an exhaustive feature selection strategy. In this way, the optimal subset of features providing the highest classification performance is obtained. For this purpose, an academic performance dataset consisting of 15 distinct features and 480 samples is used. The features mainly belong to four different categories, including demographic, academic background, parent participation, and behavioral. The samples are from three different classes corresponding to the low, middle, and high levels of students’ success. For evaluations, 10 different classification algorithms are employed. Extensive experimental analysis reveals that the accuracy of the classification of students’ academic performance can be improved up to 79.40% using only 8 features rather than all.

Makine öğrenmesinin alt sınıfı olan derin öğrenme, birden çok katman ile ham veriden özelliklerin çıkarılmasını sağlamaktadır. Son yıllardaki teknolojik gelişmeler ile özellikle sağlık alanındaki görüntü işleme çalışmalarında sıklıkla tercih edilmektedir. Başarılı sonuçlar elde etmek için derin öğrenme modellerindeki parametrelerin optimize edilmesi gerekir. Bu işlemin belli bir düzeyde yazılım bilgisi gerektirmesi, alana yeterince hâkim olmayan kişilere zorluk oluşturabilmektedir. Araştırmacılar, kodlama gerektirmemesi nedeniyle hazır derin öğrenme modellerini ve görsel araçları tercih edebilmektedirler. Bu çalışmada önerilen uygulama aracılığıyla, manyetik rezonans görüntüleme taramaları için kompleks derin öğrenme işlemlerinin doğrudan grafik arayüzü üzerinden gerçekleştirilmesi hedeflenmektedir. Uygulama; veri seçimi, ön işleme, model oluşturma, eğitim ve test ana modüllerinden oluşmaktadır. Önde gelen bazı derin öğrenme modelleri uygulamaya entegre edilmiş olarak sunulmaktadır. İzlenen uyumluluk tasarımı sayesinde gelecekte yeni mimarilerin de kolaylıkla eklenebilmesinin önü açılmıştır. Modüller, açık kaynak manyetik rezonans görüntüleme verisi aracılığıyla doğrulanarak uygulamanın test tabanlı geliştirilmesi sağlanmıştır. Fonksiyonellik doğrulama testlerinde üç boyutlu evrişimsel sinir ağı kullanılarak literatüre paralel şekilde %81 doğruluk oranı gözlemlenmiştir. Uygulamanın radyoloji uzmanları ve araştırmacılar gibi kullanıcılar tarafından karar destek amacıyla kullanılabileceği düşünülmektedir., Deep learning, a subclass of machine learning, enables the extraction of features from raw data through multiple layers. With the technological developments in recent years, it is widely preferred in medical image processing studies. Parameters in deep learning models are needed to be optimized to obtain accurate results. This process requires a certain level of software knowledge and can cause difficulties for people who do not have sufficient proficiency. Researchers may prefer readily available deep learning models and visual tools as these do not require coding. It is proposed in this study that users can perform complex deep learning processes for magnetic resonance imaging data directly through the graphical interface of the application. The software tool consists of data selection, pre-processing, model creation, training, and test main modules. Some popular deep learning models are integrated into the application. New model architectures can be easily added for future releases, thanks to the compatibility design. The modules are validated via open-source magnetic resonance imaging data, and in this way, test-driven development is achieved. In the functionality validation tests performed, accuracy rate of 81% is observed similar to the literature by using three-dimensional convolutional neural network. It is thought that radiology experts and researchers can take advantage of the application for decision support purposes.

Researches on the effects of the Covid-19 pandemic continues to increase all over the world. International organizations also support these researches and prioritize studies in this field. The main purpose here is to proactively construct the measures for the new world order by precisely determining the effects of the pandemic. Meeting the sustainable development and ever-increasing human needs in the world depends on maintaining the high level of innovation and internal entrepreneurship (intrapreneurship) activities in all kinds of institutions and organizations. Factors affecting intrapreneurship are generally linked to the internal dynamics (factors) of the organization, and studies have focused on this area. However, studies on the effects of environmental factors also show that intrapreneurship is also predicted by these factors. In this study, the effect of the health illness (Covid-19) factor, which is considered as a crisis factor among environmental factors, on the intrapreneurship attitude and behavior of employees was tried to be determined with an empirical study with 203 participants. The findings obtained show that the Covid-19 pandemic significantly affects intrapreneurship, and this effect differs according to some control variables.

Amaç: Bruksizm; diş sıkma ve gıcırdatma alışkanlığı olarak tanımlanan parafonksiyonel bir durumdur ve periodonsiyum üzerindeki olumsuz etkileri bilinmektedir. Dişeti biyotipi sondlama derinliği, keratinize dişeti genişliği, gingival ataçman gibi anatomik faktörlerden etkilenir ve ince/kalın/orta gibi sınıflanabilir. İnce dişeti biyotipi, gingival çekilmeler gibi durumlar açısından risk oluşturur. Bu çalışmanın amacı; bruksizmi olan ve olmayan grupları dişeti biyotipi açısından karşılaştırmak ve bruksizmin dişeti biyotipi üzerine klinik etkisini değerlendirmektir. Gereç ve Yöntem: Bu çalışma için164 kişiye bruksizm anketi uygulandı. Periodontal olarak sağlıklı 33 bruksist birey çalışma grubuna; benzer özelliklere sahip 30 bruksist olmayan birey kontrol grubuna dahil edildi. Her iki grupta da klinik periodontal ölçümlerin yanı sıra diş eti biyotipini değerlendirmek için diş eti kalınlığı, keratinize diş eti genişliği, periodontal cep derinliği ve diş eti çekilmesi miktarı ölçüldü. Ölçümler alt ve üst çene, sağ ve sol 1. Keser, 2.keser ve kanin dişlerin mid-fasiyal yüzeyinden yapıldı. Diş eti kalınlığı, periodontal sondun anahattının marjinal gingivadan görünürlüğüyle değerlendirildi (GT-TRAN). Gruplar arası karşılaştırmada ki kare ve student-t test kullanıldı. Bulgular: Gruplar; yaş, cinsiyet dağılımı ve periodontal klinik indeksler açısından benzerdi. Bruksist olan ve olmayan bireyler arasında dişeti kalınlıkları bakımından istatistiksel olarak anlamlı bir fark bulunmadı. Bruksist bireylerde üst çenede her diş bölgesi için keratinize dişeti genişliği daha yüksek bulundu ancak bu fark istatistiksel olarak anlamlı değildi. Sonuç: Dişeti biyotipi ve bruksizm arasında ilişki bulunmadı., Aim: Bruxism; is a parafunctional condition defined as the habit of grinding and clenching. Its negative effects on periodontium are well known. The gingival biotype is affected by anatomical factors such as probing depth, keratinized gingival width, gingival attachment, and can be classified as thin/thick or thin/thick/mixed. Thin gingival biotype is a risk for gingival recessions. The aim of this study; to compare homogenous groups with and without bruxism in terms of gingival biotype and to evaluate the clinical effect of bruxism on gingival biotype. Materials and Methods: Bruxism questionnaire was applied to 164 subjects. 33 periodontally healthy bruxist subjects were included in the study group; 30 non-bruxist subjects with similar characteristics were included in the control group. In addition to clinical periodontal measurements, gingival thickness, keratinized gingival width, periodontal pocket depth and gingival recession were measured in both groups to assess gingival biotype. Measurements were made from the mid-facial surface of the maxillary and mandibular first and second incisors and canines. GT was assessed by probe visibility through the marginal gingiva (GTTRAN). Results between groups were analyzed using chi square test and student t-test. Results:The groups were similar in terms of age and gender distribution, and also periodontal clinical indices. There was no statistically significant difference in gingival thickness between bruxist and non-bruxist subjects. In bruxist subjects, keratinized gingival width was found to be higher in the maxilla for all teeth, but this difference was not statistically significant. Conclusion: There was no correlation between gingival biotype and bruxism.

Amaç: Bu çalışmanın amacı, dijital panoramik radyograflarda görülen hataları ve bu hataların görülme sıklığını değerlendirmektir. Gereç ve Yöntemler: Ankara Üniversitesi Diş Hekimliği Fakültesi Ağız, Diş ve Çene Radyolojisi AD kliniği arşivinden rastgele seçilmiş 186 adet dijital panoramik görüntü 12 adet kategori altında 3 gözlemci tarafından incelendi. Çalışmaya 15 yaş ve üstü hastalara ait görüntüler dahil edildi. Bulgular: 186 radyografik görüntünün toplam 173’ünde (% 93.01) en az 1 hata tespit edildi. En sık görülen hata olarak dilin damakta konumlandırılmaması (123, % 66.12) rapor edildi. Bunu ikinci sırada kayakçı pozisyonu hatası (52, % 27.95) ve üçüncü sırada çekim sırasında hareket hatası (50, % 26.88) takip etti. Dijital gürültü (1, % 0.53) en az rastlanan hata olarak belirlendi. Yaptığımız çalışmada değerlendirilen görüntülerin % 93.01’ünde hata tespit edilmiş olup bu oran; Sarı ve ark.5 , Schiff ve ark.6 , Akarslan ve ark.7 , Rushton ve ark.8 , Brezden ve ark.9 , Dhillon ve ark.10 ’nın yaptıkları çalışmalarda sırası ile % 90, % 79.7, % 62.39, % 99.2, % 99.8, % 89.0 oranında bulunmuştur. Sonuç: Panoramik radyografların kalitesi ve teşhis değeri, hasta konumlandırmasına dikkat edilerek iyileştirilebilir., Background: The aim of this study is to evaluate the errors seen in digital panoramic radiographs and the frequency of these errors. Methods: A total of 186 randomly selected digital panoramic images were examined by 3 observers under 12 categories in Ankara University, Faculty of Dentistry, Department of Dentomaxillofacial Radiology. Images of patients aged 15 years and older were included in the study. Results: At least 1 error was detected in 173 (93.01%) of 186 radiographic images. The most common error was that the tongue was not positioned on the palate (123, 66.12%), followed by skier position error (52, 27.95%) and motion error (50, 26.88%) in the third row. Digital noise (1, 0.53%) was the least common error. Conclusion: The quality and diagnostic value of the panoramic radiographs can be improved by paying attention to the patient positioning.

EgeUn###, Case: A 39-year-old woman presented with an abnormal postmenopausal vaginal bleeding, and probe curettage was performed for diagnostic purposes. She was diagnosed with endometrial cancer. She underwent total abdominal hysterectomy, bilateral salpingo-oophorectomy, anti pelvic lymph node dissection (TAH+BSO+PPLND). Pathology specimen revealed endometrioid adenocarcinoma sized 2 cm with histologic grade 2. Tumor had halt inner myometrial invasion. Lymphovasculary invasion and lymph node metastases (0/17) were not reported. She was referred to the radiation oncology department tor intracavitary brachytherapy.

Bu çalışma, gelişmekte olan bir ülkede, firmaların sınai mülkiyet koruma tercihlerini ve korumaya verdikleri önemi etkileyebilecek bir dizi faktörü ampirik olarak incelemektedir. Çalışmada, Türkiye İstatistik Kurumunun Yenilik Araştırması 2012 verisinden yararlanılmıştır. Analizlerde, ürün sunulan pazar büyüklüğü, Ar-Ge aktiviteleri, istifade edilen bilgi kaynakları ve destekler gibi geleneksel faktörlerin yanısıra, organizasyonlar arası işbirlikleri ve farklı kurumsal stratejilerin etkilerine odaklanılmıştır. Henüz SM korumasının ilk aşamasında olunmasına rağmen, genel olarak farklı koşullar altında firmaların resmi ve stratejik koruma yöntemleri arasından tercihte bulunduğu görülmektedir. Sonuçlar, bir firmanın patent/FM koruma davranışının, firmanın yenilik stratejisine sahip olması ve daha çok dışa dönük yenilik faaliyetleri ile ilişkili olduğunu göstermektedir. Kurum içi ve piyasa temelli bilgi kaynakları ile yenilik stratejisi, tüm koruma yöntemleri üzerinde pozitif etkiye sahiptir. Diğer firma ve bilgi merkezleri ile işbirliklerinde patent/FM ve gizlilik birbirlerinin tamamlayıcısıdır. Sonuçlar ayrıca, marka tescili, patent/FM ve üretim süresi avantajının, ürün yeniliğini anlamlı olarak en fazla oranda etkileyen koruma yöntemleri olduğunu göstermiştir., This article explores the IP protection in a developing country by using a set of factors that may drive IP protection method preferences of firms and the importance they attach to the protection. Empirical analyses are based on the Turkish Community Innovation Survey 2012 data. The analysis focuses on inputs including different types of corporate strategies and cooperation in addition to traditional factors such as market size, R&D activities, knowledge sources and funds. Despite being in early stages of IP system, firms use both formal and informal protection mechanisms under different circumstances. Our results indicate that patents/UM protection behavior of firms is mostly associated with having an innovation strategy and outward-oriented innovation activities. Internal and market-based information sources and innovation strategy have a positive effect on all protection methods. Patent/UM and secrecy are complementary to each other in cooperation with other firms and information centers. Our results also confirm that trademark registration, patent/UM and lead-time advantages are the protection methods that significantly influence product innovation.
