The objective of the project is to automate the training and placement unit of AMC Engineering College by minimizing manual work and enhancing optimization, abstraction, and security. The proposed solution is a web application that can be accessed by authorized personnel throughout the organization via secure login credentials. The application will have features that cater to both students and administration staff. Students will be able to fill out a registration form, and the information will be stored in the system for future reference. Once registered, students won't have to repeat the process, making it a one-time exercise. The system will enable administration staff to manage student information related to placement, including maintaining their details, generating a list of requested candidates, and searching for information posted by students. The benefits of this project are evident: it will reduce manual work and enhance efficiency, allowing the college to achieve full IT deployment. It will also enable quick access to placement-related activities, making the process more convenient for both students and staff. In summary, this project has the potential to streamline the Training and Placement unit of AMC Engineering College, making it more efficient and effective.

Phyllanthus niruri Linnaus (Euphorbiaceae) also known as Chanka piedra is widely grown and used throughout the tropical and subtropical countries of the world. In India it is present in the coastal areas. It is an annual herb and field weed having very short life. Phyllanthus comprises of 600-700 species with minor distinguishing features among them. In Indian ayurvedic system, plant extract of P. niruri is used as a medicine for asthma, bronchitis, anemia, leprosy, etc., As mentioned in the book Charaka Samhita P. niruri is used as an effective treatment for stimulating liver, improving digestion, to increase appetite and produce laxative effects. Phyllanthus niruri is a traditional herb with long-standing Ayurvedic, Chinese and Malay ethnomedical records and antimicrobial activity. Antimicrobial activity refers to the process of killing or inhibiting the disease causing microbes. Methanolic extract of P. niruri is an effective antibacterial agent to treat bacterial infections since the extract exhibited significant antimicrobial potency. The alcoholic extract of leaves of Phyllanthus niruri shows significant antibacterial activity against cariogenic organisms. The anti microbial activity of aqueous extract is found to be more effective than the acetone extract of Phyllanthus niruri against pathogens responsible for common infections of skin, respiratory, urinary and gastro-intestinal tracts. Introduction: Organophosphorus poisoning (OPP) is one of the common medical emergencies among rural population in India due to suicide attempts. The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship between the initial emergency laboratory parameters (electrolytes, liver function test, random blood glucose (RBS), renal function test, Hb, RBC and WBC) and severity of organophosphate poisoning based on Bardin’s Classification and type of OP compound consumed in patients admitted to emergency department with OPP. Materials and Methods: A retrospective observational study was done in OPP patients admitted to emergency medicine department. Based on Bardin’s classification all OPP cases were classified into 3 Grades of severity of poisoning.1-3 Hematological and biochemical parameters were compared based on this severity of poisoning. Results: With random sampling of 45 patients, 19 male and 26 female patients aged between 25-35 years, admitted with OPP were included in the study. The severity of poisoning was worst in females. The pseudocholinesterase, potassium and creatinine levels were significantly low in patients of grade 3 than grade 1 and grade 2 (p Conclusion: Emergency laboratory parameters in acute oraganophosphorus poisoning reflect the need for basic diagnostic facility in rural area. Laboratory parameters can also serve as possible predictive markers for severe outcomes and prognosis in OP poisoning. Objective The declared goal of this research was to investigate anti-inflammatory and anti-arthritic effectiveness of ethanolic extract of Cassia hirsuta seeds EECH in animals employing Carrageenan-induced paw CIP edema and Complete Freundrsquos adjuvant CFA induced arthritis models.Methodology The seeds of Cassia hirsuta were collected shade dried extracted using ethanol in Soxhlet extractor and the extract was tested for phytochemicals and acute oral toxicity 423 - OECD guidelines. CIP edema was examined to ascertain anti-inflammatory property. The anti-arthritic activity of CFA was analyzed by measuring paw volume arthritic index and body weight. Hematological parameters and markers in serum levels of enzymes like SGPT SGOT serum RF and histopathological studies were also performed.Results The seed extract possessed various phytoconstituents like alkaloids flavonoids terpenoids phenols and tannins as active constituents. In acute oral toxicity study the EECH produced no lethality with maximum dose of up to 2000 mgkg bw. Hence 120th 110th amp 15th mgkg b.w were taken as lower moderate and higher dose respectively. EECH at concentration of 100 200 amp 400 mgkg was able to reduce the inflammation induced by carrageenan in rats. However 200 mgkg 400 mgkg has shown significant inhibition of arthritis in rats when challenged with CFA 0.1 mL. The EECH of dose 200 mgkg 400 mgkg had maintained normal architecture of bone normal areolar synovium and normal histology in comparison to arthritis control.Conclusion According to our findings the EECH demonstrated anti-oxidant anti-inflammatory amp antiarthritic activity in a dose-dependent manner. The phytoconstituents like flavonoids terpenoids and phenols as active constituents in the extract may justify its activity.nbsp

BACKGROUND Thyroid hormone is known to regulate metabolisms which are an integral part of normal growth and development. It affects key metabolisms involved in energy storage and expenditure. We wanted to study the correlation of thyroid function test with metabolic markers. METHODS After appropriate clearance from Human Institutional Ethics Committee and proper permission from author of article by Dr Sindhu et al, the secondary, blinded data was adopted for this study. This is an observational, cross-sectional retrospective study. Anthropometric measurements were taken, and lipid and thyroid profile were analysed in overnight fasting sample. As per our inclusion and exclusion criteria 120 of 253 subjects included in primary study were recruited in our study. Statistical analysis was done in Microsoft Excel 2007 and SPSS software version 16.0. ATP III criteria were used as a benchmark for metabolic syndrome markers. RESULTS Our study suggests that prevalence of subclinical hypothyroidism was higher in young South Indian women and it significantly correlated with the markers of metabolic syndrome like BMI, waist circumference, Low Density Lipoprotein (LDL) and systolic blood pressure. TSH values strongly correlated with BMI and LDL values. FT4 values correlated well with LDL. CONCLUSIONS High TSH and lower thyroxine values in blood can be a marker associated with metabolic syndrome. Our study suggests routine screening for thyroid status and lipid profile in young females to categorize them as high risk for cardiovascular mortality and morbidity along with anthropometric measurements. The study can be continued by long term follow up of the study subjects and correlation of these study subjects into mid or old age can give significant information of their cardiac status at that age. Counseling on appropriate diet and lifestyle modification may be beneficial for young people categorized as high risk to reduce the cardiovascular mortality later in life. Heart rate measurement is a basic and essential for daily health monitoring. A heart rate monitoring system is a personal monitoring device that allows one to measure heart rate in real-time. If someone wants to record the data or use it to trigger events, there is a need to turn that mechanical pulsing action into an electrical signal and this can be done only through heart rate measuring system. The pulse rate helps to find out if the heart is pumping enough blood to the body and also helps to find the cause of various symptoms such as an irregular or rapid heartbeat, dizziness, fainting, chest pain or difficulty in breathing. More than million people are at high risk of having heart related diseases. It would be helpful if there was a way for these people to check the heart rate by sitting at home. In this paper focus have been made on realizing a portable, comfortable and low cost solution for long-term domestic heart rate monitoring. There are various methods or technologies to measure the domestic heart rate. We have mainly focused on IoT-based, polymer-based pressure sensors, optical sensors, plastic optical fiber sensor, smart phones, MEMS based piezoelectric pressure sensor. The most effective method will be considered as an efficient way of detecting the heart rate.

Introduction: A triad of clinical evaluation, electrocardiography and biomarkers of acute cardio necrosis are basis for diagnosing acute coronary syndrome (ACS). Evaluation of ACS by electrocardiography can be inconclusive in patients on maintenance hemodialysis; thereby making cardiac biomarkers better indicators. Hemodialysis is known to alter troponin I values with studies suggesting high false positives but not for the values of CKMB mass. Aim: The aim of the study was to estimate the levels of cardiac CKMB-mass in patients with stage IV/stage V renal failure on maintenance hemodialysis (MHD) with no evidence of cardiac disease, and to correlate these values with manufactures guidelines for healthy individuals (cut off of Materials and Methods: The study was conducted on 23 patients between age group 20 to 70 years, diagnosed with stage IV or V Chronic Kidney disease (CKD) (confirmed biochemically and ultrasonographically). These patients were undergoing regular biweekly regime of maintenance hemodialysis for more than 3 months at dialysis unit PESIMSR, Kuppam. CKMB mass levels were measured in these patients. Results and Conclusion: The kidney function tests and electrolyte values were deranged in patients with CKD, however as the patients were on calcium supplementation, mineral levels were within normal range. Liver function tests of these patients were found to be normal. The hemoglobin and RBC levels were lower due to CKD associated anemia. CKMB-mass levels of these patients were done in Biomerieux Vidas analyzer using Enzyme linked fluorescent assay (ELFA) method. The values were within manufacturer’s cutoff range of 5ng/ml with mean value of 3.0±1.69 ng/ml. The patients were followed up either until death or for 24 months for any cardiac related events and follow up rate was 99%. The overall survival rates of the patients were found to be 77% and none of the patients were found to have developed cardiac related events and specifically myocardia

BACKGROUND Subclinical thyroid disorders with altered Thyroid Stimulating Hormone (TSH) level, yet normal circulating levels of free thyroid hormones (FT4) include subclinical hypothyroidism and subclinical hyperthyroidism. The prevalence of subclinical thyroid disorders is found to be increasing in our country and subclinical hypothyroidism is known to be linked with hypercholesterolemia. Hence, we intend to find the prevalence of subclinical thyroid diseases and its association with lipid profile. MATERIALS AND METHODS This study was done on 253 female medical students of PES institute of medical Sciences and research who were willing to participate in the study. Free T4 (FT4) and Thyroid Stimulating Hormone (TSH) levels were estimated by Enzyme Linked Immuno-Fluorescent Assay (ELFA). Lipid Profile of the subjects including total cholesterol, serum triglyceride, HDL, LDL, VLDL was estimated using VITROS instrument. Based on the levels of TSH and FT4 the students were categorized as euthyroid, subclinical hypothyroid and subclinical hyperthyroid. RESULTS The prevalence of subclinical hypothyroidism and subclinical hyperthyroidism was found to be 8.3% and 1.58% respectively among the study population. A statistically significant decrease in FT4 levels as the TSH levels increased was seen. As the TSH value increased, HDL levels significantly decreased, and the LDL levels were found to be increased significantly. CONCLUSION Prevalence of subclinical hypothyroidism is found to be high in our study. The students with subclinical hypothyroidism were found to have significantly increased levels of LDL and decreased levels of HDL, which is an important risk factor for atherosclerosis, hypertension and coronary heart disease. Hence early detection of subclinical thyroid disorders would help us prevent the individual from developing the overt disease and its complications.

BACKGROUND Thyroid dysfunction is very common in India. Among the thyroid disorders, it has been found that there is an increase in prevalence of Subclinical Hypothyroidism rather than Hypothyroidism in India. Although it has been three decades since universal salt iodization program was introduced in our country and a transition from iodine deficient to iodine sufficient state was considered to be attained in our country, the prevalence of thyroid disorders is still found to be increasing. Therefore, we aim to find the prevalence of various thyroid dysfunctions among the young adults so that early intervention can prevent the complications associated with thyroid disorders. MATERIALS AND METHODS This study was done on 100 first year medical students of PES institute of medical Sciences and research who were willing to participate in the study. Ethical clearance was taken from the institutional ethical committee. Written consent from the subjects was taken and 5 ml venous blood sample was collected from each subject after an overnight fasting. Free T4 (FT4) and Thyroid stimulating hormone (TSH) levels were estimated by Enzyme linked immuno-fluorescent assay (ELFA) using Biomeriex VIDAS instrument. Based on the levels of TSH and FT4 the students were categorized as Euthyroid, Hypothyroid, Subclinical Hypothyroid, Hyperthyroid or Subclinical Hyperthyroid. RESULTS Among 100 students involved in our study, 22 were males and 78 were females. 89% of the participants were found to be euthyroid. Prevalence of Subclinical Hypothyroidism was 8% and Prevalence of Subclinical Hyperthyroidism was 3%. It was found that all the cases of Subclinical Hypothyroidism and Subclinical Hyperthyroidism were females. CONCLUSION Early detection of thyroid disorders especially Subclinical Hypothyroidism and Subclinical Hyperthyroidism can prevent the complications associated with it.

Spelling errors are introduced in text either during typing, or when the user does not know the correct phoneme or grapheme. If a language contains complex words like sandhi where two or more morphemes join based on some rules, spell checking becomes very tedious. In such situations, having a spell checker with sandhi splitter which alerts the user by flagging the errors and providing suggestions is very useful. A novel algorithm of sandhi splitting is proposed in this paper. The sandhi splitter can split about 7000 most common sandhi words in Kannada language used as test samples. The sandhi splitter was integrated with a Kannada spell checker and a mechanism for generating suggestions was added. A comprehensive, platform independent, standalone spell checker with sandhi splitter application software was thus developed and tested extensively for its efficiency and correctness. A comparative analysis of this spell checker with sandhi splitter was made and results concluded that the Kannada spell checker with sandhi splitter has an improved performance. It is twice as fast, 200 times more space efficient, and it is 90% accurate in case of complex nouns and 80% accurate for complex verbs. Such a spell checker with sandhi splitter will be of foremost significance in machine translation systems, voice processing, etc. This is the first sandhi splitter in Kannada and the advantage of the novel algorithm is that, it can be extended to all Indian languages.
