Prof. Jennifer Doudna is an eminent Biochemist who contributed immensely to the area of gene editing for which she was awarded the Nobel Prize in Chemistry in 2020. The study investigates and analyses Doudna's contributions and scientific productivity in peer-reviewed Scopus-indexed sources. She had 315 publications during 1987-2020 in Genetics and related fields. Of the total papers she had written and published, 94.29% are multi-authored. Doudna was the primary author in 7.07% of publications whereas she was claimed to be the secondary author in 92.93% of papers. The majority of her publications were in journals from the USA followed by UK and Germany. The most active researchers in the research team of Jennifer were Zhou Kaihong, Ma Enbo, Nogales Eva, Cate Jamie, and Sternberg, Samuel H. Her fiftypercentile age is found to be 26 years. The publication data set is tested with Bradford's law which was found to be negative. She utilized 63 means of communication i.e., journals where she published at least three papers. The highest impact factor journal in which she published a decent number of papers (27) in Nature. The 21 authors of this study, 19 of whom are non-native English speakers, reflect on the barriers to publishing academic journal articles in top international journals. Each author responded to the same set of questions pertaining to educational (PhD) opportunities for emerging scholars, financial conditions for researchers, and challenges in publishing their work. Limited English language skills, lack of research funding, and different research topics were identified as the most significant barriers to publish in the journals. Recruiting volunteers or using electronic translations for accepted articles for journals, reducing software and subscription to academic journals costs, expanding journal scope, and providing guidance and collaboration across borders are possible measures to reduce the negative impact of the barriers. The paper aims at examining the global trends in digital library research based on data extracted from the Scopus database at the global, national, institutional and individual levels. Using performance indicators like total citations, the number of publications, h-index, total link strength the study aims to evaluate the prolific authors, organizations, countries, chronological growth of literature, document forms, most prolific journals, application of Lotkas's law to evaluate the author productivity and analysis of keywords to know the trending topics of research in Digital Libraries. The study uses VOSviewer to prepare the network map of organizational and country co-authorship analysis with clustering technique and MS-Excel for graphical and statistical analysis. The core findings are like the most productive year is 2019 and the number of publications increased rapidly from the starting year of data collection 2016. The results reveal that the USA is the most productive country in terms of the number of publications and impact with the University of Illinois the first rank in the list of prolific institutions. This article aims to establish the h-index in different mathematical aspects and measure the correlation of the h-index with other metrics using the bibliographic data of selected journals in the Library and Information Science (LIS) domain. Using the concept of relation and function, the h-index is expressed. Data collected from authors in three major LIS journals, including h-index, g-index, m-index, total citations and total publications, are analysed using correlation and regression analyses. The findings indicate a high level of relationship between h-index and g-index scores and m-index at starting year of publication. Conversely, a lower level of relationship between the h-index, g-index, starting year of publication, the total number of publications and the number of citations. This is an original study and will be of interest to the researchers of LIS who wants to know this performance indicator in different aspects, the dependency/independency of the h-index with other metrics, and the impact/performance of the three journals over time in terms of h-index, m-index, total citations and the number of publications.
