The paper proposes a national infrastructure policy (NIP) for Canada, including establishing a national infrastructure bank to overcome the current dire financial and other difficulties in renewal of Canada's extensively deteriorated infrastructure, and for construction of new infrastructure to fulfill the society's new needs. After examining the deteriorated state of infrastructure in Canada, the USA, and the world, the current infrastructure deficits and the consequences of inaction, along with the views of community and political leaders to establish infrastructure priorities and the needed actions, an NIP is proposed for consideration by all parties involved with infrastructure. The associated financial needs to upgrade the infrastructure to an acceptable level are reviewed, along with the consequences of any delay in the needed repairs and renewal. Dans le cadre de cette etude, on propose une politique d'infrastructure nationale pour le Canada, y compris l'etablissement d'une banque nationale pour l'infrastructure dans le but de surmonter les difficultes financieres et autres obstacles au renouvellement de l'infrastructure grandement deterioree du Canada et en vue de la construction de nouvelle infrastructure pour combler les nouveaux besoins de societe. Apres avoir examine l'etat deteriore de l'infrastructure au Canada, aux Etats-Unis et dans le monde, les deficits d'infrastructure actuels et les consequences de l'inaction, y compris le point de vue des dirigeants communautaires et politiques afin d'etablir des priorites d'infrastructure et les actions necessaires, une politique d'infrastructure nationale est proposee pour examen par toutes les parties prenantes au niveau de l'infrastructure.
