- Abstract
The fracture developed tight sandstone gas reservoir is characterized by low permeable matrix, heterogeneous fracture development and inconsistent gas-water contact, which lead to the low producing degree of natural gas resource, large difference between gas well productivity and poor development situation. In order to find out the distribution law and producing strategy of residual gas, the 2nd member of Xujiahe Formation gas reservoir in Xinchang area was taken as an example, a set of numerical simulation process applicable for the fracture developed tight sandstone gas reservoir was established according to the main productivity controlling factors. Then the residual gas distribution was quantitatively characterized and the development optimization suggestion was put forward. The results show that comprehensively considering the controlling effects of tectonic fractures and matrix sand lithology on productivity, the efficiency and accuracy of numerical simulation can be guaranteed through precise division of flow units (well block division, sand group division, medium division and lithology division). Generally, under the constraints of tectonic fluctuation, the residual gas distribution is affected by the matrix lithology, fault-fractures and well controlling degree. It is suggested that the area with high structural position, continuous matrix sand, developed fractures and residual gas enrichment has well deployment potential. According to the well disturbance degree and formation energy utilization, the well deployment position can be further optimized. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
