Digital libraries are established to meet the demands of students who are ever in need of information which are current, updated and available at a go, to satisfy their academic needs. However, in spite of the benefits accrued to the use of digital library, postgraduate students, hardly make meaningful use of digital libraries probably because of lack required information which could be made available if digital libraries collaborate with other digital libraries. The study therefore investigates library cooperation and use of digital library by postgraduate students in selected universities in South-west, Nigeria. The study adopted a descriptive survey research design. The population of the study comprised 29,017 postgraduate students and 363 library personnel in 12 universities in Southwest, Nigeria. Multi-stage sampling technique was adopted to draw a sample size of 385 from the postgraduate population, while simple random technique with a sampling fraction of 50% was used to draw a sample size of 182 from the library personnel population. The predominant purpose of digital library use by postgraduate students in the selected universities is for examination preparation (... = 3.36) and to complete assignment (... = 3.29). There is a low frequency of digital library use by the postgraduate students. The prominent area of library cooperation among the digital libraries was Inter-library lending (... = 3.43). The study identified erratic power supply (... = 3.25), slow internet speed (... = 3.15) and inaccessibility of some websites (... = 3.13), as some predominant challenges to digital library use by the postgraduate students. There is a weak, positive but not statistically significant relationship between library cooperation and digital library use by postgraduate students (r = .146, P > 0.05). Library cooperation influences the use of digital library by postgraduate students. Libraries should prioritise investment in collaborating with other institutions and stakeholders to share best practices, develop common standards, and promote interoperability of digital resources, as this can help to improve the quality and availability of digital resources and facilitate access to resources across different institutions. This study was conducted to determine the relationship between ICT competence and the use of digital library by postgraduate students of Ignatius Ajuru University of Education (IAUE) in Rivers State, Nigeria. The study adopted a Correlation design. The population of the study comprised 1800 postgraduates in Ignatius Ajuru University of Education. Simple random sampling technique was used to select 210 Postgraduates. Four specific objectives, four research questions and four null hypotheses were formulated to guide the study. A structured questionnaire was designed for data collection. Simple Linear Regression was used to answer the research questions and test the null hypotheses at 0.05 level of significance. The result obtained revealed a significant relationship between internet browsing competence and use of digital library, the strength of relationship was (R = .841); Electronic Database competence and use of digital library, the strength of relationship was (R = .713); Social media (LinkedIn & Pinterest) competence and use of digital library, the strength of relationship was (R = .890); and content sharing competence and use of digital library the strength of relationship was (R = .820). From the findings, the study concluded that there is a significant relationship between ICT competence and the use of digital library among postgraduate students of Ignatius Ajuru University of Education, Rivers State, Nigeria. The study recommends among others that effective steps should be taken to encourage the postgraduate students to utilize the electronic databases so that the huge sum invested in subscribing for these databases will not be a waste. It was further recommended that library management should organise a training workshop on the importance of electronic databases, its uses and how to filter search by keywords. IAUE Digital library should lecture users on the importance of information sharing, through the use of Pinterest, LinkedIn and content sharing as they are the heavy hitter of information promulgation. Purpose: The purpose of this paper is to investigate the relationship between lecturers' ability to identify the extent of information need, access information and utilization of digital library resources in Federal Universities, Southern Nigeria. Design/methodology/approach: Correlational research design was adopted. The population of the study comprised 6,653 lecturers' with a sample size of 665 selected through proportionate stratified random sampling technique. Instruments for data collection were cognitive test and questionnaire used for utilization of digital library resources. Kuder–Richardson method was used to establish the internal reliability coefficient, yielding the score 0.77, 0.78, respectively, and Cronbach alpha for questionnaire yielding 0.81. Data collected were analyzed using the Pearson product moment correlation coefficient. In testing the hypotheses, p-value was used to determine the level of significance at the 0.05 alpha level. Findings: The results show low positive relationship between abilities to identify the extent of information, access information in the utilization of digital library resources. The hypotheses were rejected, indicating a positive relationship between abilities to identify extent of information need, access information and utilization of digital library resources. Originality/value: The findings of this study provide novel facts that help to clarify existing uncertainties and ambiguity in the link between some elements of information literacy and the use of digital library resources in developing economies such as Nigeria. Digital library has the capabilities of storing various electronic information resources which can conveniently be accessed by remote end-users via computer networks and the Internet. In recent times, Universities in Nigeria have embarked on integration of technologies in their operations for improvement, especially with respect to digitisation of academic information resources. However, with the huge investment committed to establishment of digital libraries in Nigerian Universities, less research has been done on their acceptance and usage from the users' perspective, more especially with respect to the fit of digital library with students' tasks. This study, therefore, investigated task-technology fit of digital libraries in three Nigerian Universities and identified factors influencing use of digital library by the students. Survey design guided the study and a questionnaire was used to collect data from 402 students. The study found a high usage of digital library among the students. A moderate positive correlation and significant relationship was found between the independent variables (task characteristics, technology characteristics, attitude, computer self-efficacy and task-technology fit) and use of digital library. The study validates the TTF model which posits that for an information system to be utilised, it must be a good fit for the tasks it supports. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
