Abstract

The authors respond to comments on their MooDFOOD randomized clinical trial which showed that overweight or obese adults experiencing major depressive disorder episodes are not helped by multinutrient supplementation or food-related behavioral activation therapy. Topics discussed include limitations of the trial investigating nutritional strategies for depression prevention, food-related behavioral intervention therapy and omega-3 supplementation.
