7. A 3 mm Molecular Line Survey toward The C-star Envelope CIT 6

Abstract

We present an unbiased molecular line survey toward the carbon-rich circumstellar envelope CIT 6 carried out between 90 and 116 GHz with the Arizona Radio Observatory 12 m telescope. A total of 42 lines assigned to 10 molecular species and 4 isotopologues are detected. Despite the absence of any newly identified circumstellar molecules, several transitions are freshly reported for this object. This work is a complement to our previous line survey toward CIT 6 in the frequency ranges of 36-49 GHz and 131-268 GHz. Based on the measurements and in combination with previously published data, we perform a rotation-diagram analysis to determine the column densities, excitation temperatures, and fractional abundances of the molecules. The excitation temperature varies along the radius. The abundance pattern of CIT6 is broadly consistent with that of the prototype C-star IRC+10216 at the specified detection sensitivity, indicating that the molecular richness in IRC+10216 cannot be attributed to an interpretation of unusual chemistry. Nevertheless, subtle distinctions between the two C-stars are found. The higher abundance of carbon-chain molecules and lower 12C/13C ratio in CIT 6 compared to IRC+10216 imply that the former is more massive or in a more evolved phase than the latter., Comment: 34 pages, 14 figures, 5 tables

Abstract

Quantum geometry - the geometry of electron Bloch wavefunctions - is central to modern condensed matter physics. Due to the quantum nature, quantum geometry has two parts, the real part quantum metric and the imaginary part Berry curvature. The studies of Berry curvature have led to countless breakthroughs, ranging from the quantum Hall effect in 2DEGs to the anomalous Hall effect (AHE) in ferromagnets. However, in contrast to Berry curvature, the quantum metric has rarely been explored. Here, we report a new nonlinear Hall effect induced by quantum metric by interfacing even-layered MnBi2Te4 (a PT-symmetric antiferromagnet (AFM)) with black phosphorus. This novel nonlinear Hall effect switches direction upon reversing the AFM spins and exhibits distinct scaling that suggests a non-dissipative nature. Like the AHE brought Berry curvature under the spotlight, our results open the door to discovering quantum metric responses. Moreover, we demonstrate that the AFM can harvest wireless electromagnetic energy via the new nonlinear Hall effect, therefore enabling intriguing applications that bridges nonlinear electronics with AFM spintronics., Comment: 19 pages, 4 figures and a Supplementary Materials with 66 pages, 4 figures and 3 tables. 44. Vault predicting after implantable collamer lens implantation using random forest network based on different features in ultrasound biomicroscopy images

Abstract

AIM: To analyze ultrasound biomicroscopy (UBM) images using random forest network to find new features to make predictions about vault after implantable collamer lens (ICL) implantation. METHODS: A total of 450 UBM images were collected from the Lixiang Eye Hospital to provide the patient's preoperative parameters as well as the vault of the ICL after implantation. The vault was set as the prediction target, and the input elements were mainly ciliary sulcus shape parameters, which included 6 angular parameters, 2 area parameters, and 2 parameters, distance between ciliary sulci, and anterior chamber height. A random forest regression model was applied to predict the vault, with the number of base estimators (n_estimators) of 2000, the maximum tree depth (max_depth) of 17, the number of tree features (max_features) of Auto, and the random state (random_state) of 40.0. RESULTS: Among the parameters selected in this study, the distance between ciliary sulci had a greater importance proportion, reaching 52% before parameter optimization is performed, and other features had less influence, with an importance proportion of about 5%. The importance of the distance between the ciliary sulci increased to 53% after parameter optimization, and the importance of angle 3 and area 1 increased to 5% and 8% respectively, while the importance of the other parameters remained unchanged, and the distance between the ciliary sulci was considered the most important feature. Other features, although they accounted for a relatively small proportion, also had an impact on the vault prediction. After parameter optimization, the best prediction results were obtained, with a predicted mean value of 763.688 μm and an actual mean value of 776.9304 μm. The R² was 0.4456 and the root mean square error was 201.5166. CONCLUSION: A study based on UBM images using random forest network can be performed for prediction of the vault after ICL implantation and can provide some reference for ICL size selection.
