Traditionally, Chinese families have been the primary provider of care for older adults, and older people expected family care. However, along with the modernization and demographic transition, family functions have been weakened, and state-based care has begun to play an essential role in supporting family care for older people. This paper aims to assess the care preferences of older people and the different responsibilities of individuals and communities in modern China. Using data from the 2014 China Longitudinal Aging Social Survey (CLASS) and multinomial logistic regression modeling, we find that family care remains the cornerstone for older adults and their care preferences are associated with individual and community factors, mainly including the number of children, education level, residential area, the presence of health infrastructure and care facilities, and the values associated with filial piety of older adults. Objective: This study investigates the impact of informal care and work stress on women's health and further disentangles this effect through intensity and channel analysis. Method: This research uses the 2000–2015 China Health and Nutrition Survey and employs the propensity score matching model with fixed effects. Results: The care and work burden significantly increases the probability of women suffering from chronic diseases, being underweight or overweight, and self-reporting poor health by 0.63%, 1.69%, and 2.35%, respectively. This double-burden effect is exacerbated as the care and work hours increase. Women who care for more than 20 hr and work for more than 50 hr per week experience the most serious health decline. We further find that the double burden leads to health deterioration through channels of reduced exercise and increased psychological stress. With the development of Web 2.0 technologies, an increasing number of websites are providing online healthcare services, and they have potential to alleviate problems of overloaded medical resources in China. However, some patients are reluctant to trust and continue using online healthcare services, partly due to the immature development of healthcare websites. Previous research has argued that online trust is significantly associated with the risk or benefit perceived by users. This study aims to extend prior research and examine how perceptual factors influence patients' online trust and intention to continue using online healthcare services. We developed a model with the moderating role of purpose of use and tested it with data collected from 283 participants. The results support the validity of the model and most hypotheses. The moderating role of purpose of use between the perceived benefits/risks and patients' online trust is also highlighted. Theoretical and practical implications are also discussed.
