This study aimed to assess the effects of Chinese Baijiu with different flavors as supplementary material on microbial communities and flavor formation during inoculated fermentation of Chinese Dongbei Suancai. The results showed that the addition of Fen flavor Baijiu significantly increased the relative abundance of Candida, Luzhou flavor Baijiu increased the relative abundance of Pedobacter and Hannaella, while Maotai flavor Baijiu increased the Chryseobacterium and Kazachstania. A total of 226 volatile metabolites were detected in Suancai fermented when adding different flavors of Baijiu. Furthermore, the significantly upregulated metabolites (p < 0.01) of Suancai after adding Baijiu increased by 328.57%, whereas the significantly downregulated metabolites decreased by 74.60%. Simultaneously, the addition of Baijiu promoted the synthesis and decomposition of amino acids and short-chain fatty acids in the early and middle stages of fermentation. Further, Maotai flavor Baijiu improved the diversification of metabolic pathways in the late stage of Suancai fermentation. The E-nose response showed that sulfur-organic, broad-alcohol, sulfur-chlor was the principal differential flavor in Suancai caused by adding Baijiu with different flavors. Simultaneously, Fen flavor Baijiu and Luzhou flavor Baijiu accelerated the formation of the Suancai flavor. Protective coatings are typically applied to enhance their resistance to corrosion. There is considerable research on the corrosion resistance of coated casings. However, few research studies have focused on the erosion resistance on coated casings. In this work, the erosion resistance of resin- and metallic-coated casings in liquid–solid two-phase fluids were investigated using a self-made erosion facility. The results show that the resin coating tends to peel off the material base in the form of brittle spalling or coating bulge in the high-speed sand-carrying liquid. Both resin and metallic coatings were broken through within 20 min in a liquid–solid two-phase flow environment. Compared to resin coatings, metallic coatings exhibit weaker erosion resistance in similar liquid–solid flow. Through the analysis of experimental results and fitted curves, empirical constants for materials and sand content influencing factors were determined using non-dimensional processing. The erosion prediction model of metallic coatings and resin coatings was established based on the ECRC/Zhang model with the change in flow rate, angle, and sand content. This research contributes to a better understanding of the erosion resistance performance of casings used in oil and gas fields, thereby contributing to potential improvements in their production. Underground hydrogen storage represents an innovative approach to energy storage. To ensure the secure operation of subterranean hydrogen storage strings, a computational fluid dynamics (CFD) methodology was employed to devise an erosion assessment model tailored for high-velocity conditions. The research delved into the erosion and abrasion dynamics of these storage strings when subjected to high-speed gas flows. This study further examined the impacts of gas velocity, particle size, pipe material, and pipe wall corrosion imperfections on flow patterns and erosion wear rates across the column. The outcomes revealed several noteworthy trends. As fluid velocity increased, the flow field's maximum pressure augmented, while it decreased alongside enlarging pipe diameter and particle size. P110 pipe material exhibited higher maximum pressure in comparison to N80. The effect of centrifugal force induced pressure to surge from the inner to the outer portion of the column. In the curved pipe section's outer wall, the frequent occurrence of high-angle collisions engendered elevated rates of erosion wear over time. Particularly noteworthy was the observation of the highest erosion rate in curved pipes showcasing three corrosion defects, attributed to the backflow effects of erosion pits. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

This paper presents the failure analysis of the crack and leakage accident of a crude oil pipeline under CO2-steam flooding in the western oilfield of China. To analyze the failure behavior and cause, different testing, including nondestructive testing, chemical composition analysis, tensile property testing, metallographic analysis, and microanalysis of fracture and chloride stress corrosion cracking (SCC) testing, are applied in the present study. The obtained results showed that the pipeline under the insulation layer of high humidity, high oxygen content, and high Cl− environment occurred pit corrosion, and the stress concentration area at the bottom of the corrosion pit sprouted cracks. Besides, it is demonstrated that the cracks were much branched, mostly through the crystal, and the fracture showed brittle, which is consistent with the typical characteristics of chloride SCC. Meanwhile, the insufficient Ni content of the pipeline material promoted the process of chloride SCC, and the high-temperature working conditions also aggravated the rate of chloride SCC. Mangrove restoration is challenging within protected coastal habitats. Predicting the dominant species distributions in mangrove communities is essential for appropriate species selection and spatial planning for restoration. We explored the spatial distributions of six mangrove species, including their related environmental factors, thereby identifying potentially suitable habitats for mangrove protection and restoration. Based on six dominant mangrove species present in the Beibu Gulf, Guangxi, China, we used a linear correlation analysis to screen environmental factors. In addition, we used the maximum entropy model to analyze the spatial distributions of potential mangrove afforestation areas. Based on the spatial superposition analysis, we identified mangrove conservation and restoration hot spots. The findings indicate that topographic and bioclimatic factors affect the distribution of suitable mangrove habitats in the Beibu Gulf, followed by land use type, salinity, and substrate type. We identified 13,816 hm2 of prime mangrove habitat in the Beibu Gulf that is primarily distributed in protected areas. The protection rate for existing mangroves was 42.62%. An unstable assembly gap is detrimental to the formation and performance of the pipeline butt girth weld joint. Therefore, a numerical model of an 18.4 mm-thick X80 pipeline girth weld by a homogeneous body heat source was established to investigate the effect of the butt gap on the joint temperature and stress field, and carrying capacity. The accuracy of the simulation results was verified by measuring the welding thermal cycle with a thermocouple. The investigation results showed that the weld pool, heat-affected zone (HAZ) width, and maximum circumferential stress of the joint rose with the increase in the butt gap. The tensile stress unfavorable to the joint quality was mainly distributed in the weld metal and partial HAZ, and the distribution areas gradually expanded as the gap increased. The Von Mises stress peak value of the joint appeared in the order of 3 mm > 2 mm > 1 mm > 0 mm gap, reaching the maximum of 467.3 MPa (3 mm gap). This variation trend is directly related to the improvement in welding heat input with increasing butt gaps. The maximum Von Mises stress of the joint was positively correlated with the carrying capacity of the pipeline, which diminished as the butt gap enlarged. The pipeline carrying capacity reached 17.8 MPa for the joint with no butt gap, and dropped to 13.1 MPa for the joint with a 3 mm gap. The relationship between the carrying capacity (P) and butt gap (C) was described by P = −0.125C2 − 1.135C + 17.715, through which the pipeline carrying capacity with other butt gaps can be predicted. Mining of closely spaced multilayer orebodies brings the problems of significant disturbance between adjacent mining layers and drastic structural changes in surrounding rock, which brings the need for a more effective stope support method. Previous research has made sound analysis on filling or bolt support, but neither of them can solely provide ideal support effects. Thus, a novel bolt-filling support method is proposed by utilizing the synergistic effect of rock bolts (cable bolts) and filling. Numerical simulation and similarity experiments were conducted in this research to analyze the support effect of this method for multilayer ore mining. For numerical simulation, the distinct-element modelling framework PFC2D (Particle Flow Code in 2 Dimensions) was applied for four support scenarios based on the calibration of the microscopic parameters of particles in vanadium shale ores. The numerical simulation results show that the number of fractures decreases from 1311 without support through 652 with 95% filling support to 410 with bolt-filling support, which is resulted from the redistribution of the force chains due to support change. On the other hand, a 300 cm ×180 cm × 40 cm similarity model with a geometry similarity constant of 100 was established based on the 4# rock layer profile of Mount Shangheng. Two parts of similarity experiments were conducted to investigate the strains around the stopes in multi-layer ore mining for three support scenarios. The experiment results prove that the highest strain is in the center of the roof on the upper goaf, and the roof-bolt filling support induces smaller strains than zero support and conventional filling support. Finally, an effective bolt-filling support system has been developed and validated, which can improve the safety and the stability of the roofs and interlayers during the mining process of closely spaced multilayer orebody by reducing the overall load and fractures in surrounding rock. In this research, we investigate a novel class of granular type optimality guidelines for the fuzzy multi-objective optimizations based on guidelines of vector granular convexity and granular differentiability. T-joint welding is a key manufacturing process of large storage tanks. However, complex residual stresses are generated and have a great effect on the structural integrity of storage tanks. The high residual stress caused by welding and the discontinuous structure may result in tank cracking and failure. In this work, the residual stress distributions on the inner surface, outer surface, and thickness direction of the T-joint were investigated by using the finite element method and indentation test method. The effect of local PWHT with different heating temperatures, heating rates, and heating widths on the residual stress distribution was also discussed. Results show that the residual stress of the T-shaped joint is high due to the serious structure discontinuity, multi-layer welding, and high strength. Among all the stresses, the circumferential residual stress is the highest and most concentrated in the outer weld connected with the annular plate. The residual stress gradually decreases with the increase in the heat treatment temperature. When the heating rate is less than 106 °C/h, the residual stress gradually decreases with the decrease in the heating rate. The large thermal deformation caused by heat treatment can be simultaneously avoided by heating the inside and outside of the T-joint. The residual stress decreases with the decrease in the width of the heating zone. The residual stress can be regulated by using a smaller width in the heating zone. An optimized heat treatment scheme with a heating temperature of 700 °C, heating rate of 56 °C/h, and heating width of 200 mm was proposed, which has a good ability to control residual stresses and improve the quality of the T-joint. Iron is among the most abundant elements in the soil of paddy fields, and its valence state and partitioning can be transformed by flooding and drainage alternations. However, little is known about the function of soil microbes that interact with Fe(II). In this study, sandy and loamy soils originating from rice fields were treated with Fe(II) at low and high concentrations. The findings demonstrate that additional Fe(II) has various effects on the soil's microbial community structure and metabolic pathways. We conclude that Fe(II) at high concentrations reduced bacterial abundance and diversity in two textured paddy soils, yet the abundance in loamy soils was higher than it was in sandy soil. Additionally, in environments with high Fe(II) levels, the relative abundance of both anaerobic and chemoautotrophic bacteria increased. The Fe(II) concentration was positively correlated with total reduced substances but negatively correlated with redox potential and pH. Co-occurrence networks revealed that Fe(II) significantly promoted interactions with the most anaerobic and chemoautotrophic bacteria. In addition, adding Fe(II) greatly increased the number of more complex bacterial networks, and an increase in the number of mutually beneficial taxa occurred. We found that Fe(II) promoted the methane pathway, the Calvin cycle, and nitrate reduction to small but significant extents. These pathways involve the growth and interrelation of autotrophic and anaerobic bacteria. Featured Application: This research enhanced the significance of the intermediate-service value of a wetland system, which can draw the government or researchers to pay more attention to wetland management for the sustainability of wetland systems. The functions and services of wetland ecosystems to human society have been generally recognized. Currently, most evaluations of wetlands are a comprehensive evaluation of their ultimate value. It is rare to discuss for energy and matter lost and transferred. In this study, emergy theory was used to assess the ultimate and intermediate service values of the Liaohe estuarine wetland ecosystem. Results show that its ultimate service value was $28.2 million, and its intermediate service value was $35,614.03 million. The 1263 time difference between intermediate and ultimate value shows that much server value was dissipated in the form of energy. In the ultimate service value, the value of adjusting the atmosphere was $8.02 million, accounting for 28.45% of the total value, and flood diversion and storage value was $6.98 million, accounting for 24.75%. These results illustrate that the most important service value of the Liaohe estuarine wetland ecosystem is to adjust the atmosphere and divert and store floods. In intermediate service value, maintaining-biodiversity value was $34,182 million, accounting for 95.98% of total value, showing that the Liaohe estuarine wetland plays an important role in species resources and regional seed banks. Atmospheric water harvesting by strong adsorbents is a feasible method of solving the shortage of water resources, especially for arid regions. In this study, a machine learning (ML)-assisted high-throughput computational screening is employed to calculate the capture of H2O from N2 and O2 for 6013 computation-ready, experimental metal-organic frameworks (CoRE-MOFs) and 137,953 hypothetical MOFs (hMOFs). Through the univariate analysis of MOF structure-performance relationships, Qst is shown to be a key descriptor. Moreover, three ML algorithms (random forest, gradient boosted regression trees, and neighbor component analysis (NCA)) are applied to hunt for the complicated interrelation between six descriptors and performance. After the optimizing strategy of grid search and five-fold cross-validation is performed, three ML can effectively build the predictive model for CoRE-MOFs, and the accuracy R2 of NCA can reach 0.97. In addition, based on the relative importance of the descriptors by ML, it can be quantitatively concluded that the Qst is dominant in governing the capture of H2O. Besides, the NCA model trained by 6013 CoRE-MOFs can predict the selectivity of hMOFs with a R2 of 0.86, which is more universal than other models. Finally, 10 CoRE-MOFs and 10 hMOFs with high performance are identified. Based on the observation and reanalysis data, the relationship between the Madden–Julian Oscillation (MJO) over the Maritime Continent (MC) and the tropical Pacific–Indian Ocean associated mode was analyzed. The results showed that the MJO over the MC region (95°–150° E, 10° S–10° N) (referred to as the MC–MJO) possesses prominent interannual and interdecadal variations and seasonally "phase-locked" features. MC–MJO is strongest in the boreal winter and weakest in the boreal summer. Winter MC–MJO kinetic energy variation has significant relationships with the El Niño–Southern Oscillation (ENSO) in winter and the Indian Ocean Dipole (IOD) in autumn, but it correlates better with the tropical Pacific–Indian Ocean associated mode (PIOAM). The correlation coefficient between the winter MC–MJO kinetic energy index and the autumn PIOAM index is as high as −0.5. This means that when the positive (negative) autumn PIOAM anomaly strengthens, the MJO kinetic energy over the winter MC region weakens (strengthens). However, the correlation between the MC–MJO convection and PIOAM in winter is significantly weaker. The propagation of MJO over the Maritime Continent differs significantly in the contrast phases of PIOAM. During the positive phase of the PIOAM, the eastward propagation of the winter MJO kinetic energy always fails to move across the MC region and cannot enter the western Pacific. However, during the negative phase of the PIOAM, the anomalies of MJO kinetic energy over the MC is not significantly weakened, and MJO can propagate farther eastward and enter the western Pacific. It should be noted that MJO convection is more likely to extend to the western Pacific in the positive phases of PIOAM than in the negative phases. Diffusion reaction was a crucial route to enhance the wear resistance of Ti-6Al-4V alloys surface. In this work, the Ni/Cu/Ni composite layers were fabricated on the surface of Ti-6Al-4V alloy by electroplate craft, and then different annealing temperatures were applied to further optimize its tribological properties. The diffusion behaviors at various temperatures were systematically analyzed to reveal the physical mechanism of the enhanced tribological properties of the coatings. It was demonstrated that CuxTiy and NixTiy intermetallic compounds with high hardness and strength were produced in the Ni/Cu/Ni coating, which acted as the reinforcing phases and improved the microhardness, reduced the friction coefficient, and lessened the wear rate. Specially, this effect reached the maximum when the annealing temperature was 800 °C, showing excellent wear resistance. This work revealed the relationship between annealing temperatures and tribological properties of the Ni/Cu/Ni coating, and proposed wear mechanism, aiming to improve the surface performance of Ti-6Al-4V alloy by appropriate diffusion behavior. (1) Background: To reveal the intrinsic relationship between the tidal flat sediments in an estuary wetland and the runoff from the upstream river. This research was conducted in the tidal flats of the Liaohe estuary wetland. (2) Methods: The 137Cs and 210Pb dating technique was used to reconstruct the time correspondence between tidal flat sediments and runoff, and the periodic response was explored between the changes in the tidal flat sediments and runoff based on the spectrum analysis method. (3) Results: The average sedimentation rate in the tidal flat was 2.24 cm·year−1 during the past 50 years. The amount of fine sediment particles deposited on the estuary tidal flat was directly related to the amount of sediments transported by the river and inversely proportional to the ability of rivers to transport fine matter. The high frequency reproduction cycle of 14–15 years in the flood season flow and 5–6 years in the annual sediment discharge of the Liaohe River correspond to the high and low frequency reproduction cycles of the median size of sediments in Liaohe estuarine wetland tidal flats. (4) Conclusions: The research clarified the hydrological constraints of the action law between Liaohe River runoff and the estuarine sediments. This article focuses on the energy density alteration during non-pillar mining method of goaf-side entry retaining by roof cutting (GERRC) and adjacent working face mining. We also studied the support control strategy of goaf-side roadway. Numerical calculation model is established, and the parameters of the model are verified by the measured advance abutment pressure and numerical solution. Based on the numerical model, the energy density during mining is studied. It is found that the whole energy evolution pattern of the goaf side entry during the two adjacent working face mining includes: the original rock energy, the advance energy of the current working face, the dynamic lateral abutment energy caused by strata movement, the lateral abutment energy of the adjacent working face. The support body failure and surrounding rock large deformation phenomenon often occur in goaf side roadway, which is influenced by multiple energy disturbances. Research shows that strong stress disturbance of surrounding rock generates in front of the working face 23 m and behind of working face 60 m in GERRC method. In the second goaf-side entry retaining, the range is in front of the working face 47 m. With the accelerated warming of the arctic and the gradual opening of the Arctic passages, more and more attention has been paid to assessing the risk of the navigation environment in the Arctic. Due to the scarcity of visibility data in the Arctic, this study proposes a model for referring visibility based on a back propagation (BP) neural network. The reliability of the model is validated and the gridded atmospheric visibility data in the Arctic from 2009 to 2018 was obtained. At the same time, this study analyzed the spatial and temporal features of visibility in the Arctic. The results show that the mean relative error is less than 20% under the different sample forms and it is more accurate to infer the visibility in a specific month using the multiple-year data of that month as training samples. Furthermore, the amount of sample data has a positive effect on the accuracy of inferred visibility, but the effect decreases with data quantity increasing. Visibility changes quickly in the south of 80° N in August, but slowly in the north in that time. The convexity in triangular norm (for short, ⊗−convexity) is a generalization of Zadeh's quasiconvexity. The aggregation of two ⊗−convex sets is under the aggregation operator ⊗ is also ⊗−convex, but the aggregation operator ⊗ is not unique. To solve it in complexity, in the present paper, we give some sufficient conditions for aggregation operators preserve ⊗−convexity. In particular, when aggregation operators are triangular norms, we have that several results such as arbitrary triangular norm preserve ⊗ D − convexity and ⊗ a − convexity on bounded lattices, ⊗ M preserves ⊗ H − convexity in the real unite interval [ 0 , 1 ] . In many locations around the globe, large reservoir sustainability is threatened by land use change and direct pollution loading from the upstream watershed. However, the size and complexity of upstream basins makes the planning and implementation of watershed-scale pollution management a challenge. In this study, we established an evaluation system based on 17 factors, representing the potential point and non-point source pollutants and the environmental carrying capacity which are likely to affect the water quality in the Dahuofang Reservoir and watershed in northeastern China. We used entropy methods to rank 118 subwatersheds by their potential pollution threat and clustered subwatersheds according to the potential pollution type. Combining ranking and clustering analyses allowed us to suggest specific areas for prioritized watershed management (in particular, two subwatersheds with the greatest pollution potential) and to recommend the conservation of current practices in other less vulnerable locations (91 small watersheds with low pollution potential). Finally, we identified the factors most likely to influence the water quality of each of the 118 subwatersheds and suggested adaptive control measures for each location. These results provide a scientific basis for improving the watershed management and sustainability of the Dahuofang reservoir and a framework for identifying threats and prioritizing the management of watersheds of large reservoirs around the world.
