This paper reviews the digital transformation of grocery shopping, focusing on the technological innovations that have redefined consumer experiences over the past decades. By analyzing both academic literature and up-to-date information from websites, the study provides a review of the evolution of grocery shopping from traditional methods to modern, technology-driven approaches. The review categorizes developments into two primary areas: in-store and online grocery shopping. In-store shopping has progressed from traditional interactions to the implementation of self-service checkouts, handheld scanners, mobile apps, and AI-based solutions, including augmented reality (AR) and facial recognition. This paper reviews the first area which are in-store technological solutions. This study aims to highlight the revolution in grocery shopping from a technological perspective, present the most significant digital achievements, and outline the future possibilities for further advancements in this field. Construction projects play a vital role in the global economy. However, the construction industry still lags in the adoption of digital technologies which have the potential to alleviate inefficiencies. There is also a lack of construction professionals with skills to implement digital technologies, and the industry is plagued by inadequate research and development (R&D) and low productivity. This paper applies the Digital Transformation Readiness Level Index in Building Construction (DTRLIIBC) to investigate digital transformation in the construction industry, and specifically in the construction phase, by identifying technologies, alternatives, policy incentives to ensure best practices, and infrastructure needed to smoothly implement digital technologies. A survey was distributed to executive managers, department managers, project managers, senior engineers, and supervisors in the construction industry. Interviews were also conducted with 13 experts with more than 20 years of experience, using the Delphi method to ensure the validity and reliability of the factors identified as significant based on their experience and perspectives. This study thus assessed potential factors related to digital transformation, along with identifying factors enabling the use of the DTRLIIBC itself. Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) was employed to identify causal relationships among the variables while minimizing measurement errors, as SEM was considered a multiple regression analysis to improve the efficiency of the model. To ascertain the model's robustness and stability, a comprehensive evaluation was conducted that included tests for multivariate normality conformance, validity and reliability assessments, and accuracy evaluations to improve overall performance in the construction industry. The benefit of implementing SEM is its ability to provide a clear decision-making alternative as well as a potential vision for construction industry firms to improve efficiency and productivity in construction projects. This research paper examines the digital infrastructure required to achieve project management success by analyzing the enabling elements of this digital infrastructure in terms of three pillars: digital readiness, digital fitness, and digital tools. A comprehensive literature review was conducted to identify these enabling elements and to develop a list of project management success indicators through which the success of project management can be measured. To evaluate and rank the digital infrastructure enabling elements, a Multi-Criteria Analysis (MCA) was implemented using a hybrid approach combining Fuzzy Analytic Hierarchy Process (FAHP) and Fuzzy Technique for Order Preference by Similarity to Ideal Solution (FTOPSIS). The study used the digital infrastructure enabling elements as MCA alternatives and the project management success indicators identified in the literature review as MCA criteria. The results indicated that the enabling elements associated with digital tools are the most significant for project management success, with a FTOPSIS closeness coefficient (CCi) of 0.8525, followed by those related to digital fitness (CCi = 0.6481) and digital readiness (CCi = 0.1602). These findings have proven to be robust, as they remained consistent even when weights of the MCA criteria were adjusted in three new scenarios proposed in a scenario analysis. This research highlights the critical role of digital enabling elements in enhancing project management practice and achieving project management success. This paper considers the digital transformation of museums and, particularly, the challenges museum professionals face today in the implementation of digital practices. The exploration of the challenges that museum professionals need to address, and the values associated with the "digital" are critical in the context of current and rapid sociocultural and technological changes. This paper reviews a diverse typology of resources—including project reports and deliverables, qualitative and quantitative surveys, academic articles, edited volumes, and chapters—relevant to the implementation of digital practices in the "backstage of museums." This essay will show that, although digital technologies have acquired a normative presence, organisational and technical challenges in the "backstage" of museums pose systemic problems in their digital transformation. These are systemic problems related to skills and knowledge, and human and financial resource deficits, which result in museum professionals exerting constant effort to keep up with the rapid changes in digital technologies with limited resources at hand and the risks of technological obsolescence and abandonment always present. Situated within the emerging literature advocating for a holistic, ethical, and sustainable digital transformation of museums, this paper draws attention to the implications of the digitalisation of museums in the transition to a responsible and sustainable digital future in a European context. It argues that a relational understanding of sustainability and ethics can be a pivotal first step towards the formation of a digitally purposeful museum in the post-digital era. Digital transformation and sustainability are both at the forefront of current supply chain developments. However, the specific mechanisms of how digital transformation and green supply chain development interact still need to be clarified, which can help supply chain business operators to enhance supply chain sustainability more effectively. This paper focuses on how the companies' organization structure and the socio-economic environment interact with digital technologies under the process of green supply chain development. Based on the "Technology–Organization–Environment" (TOE) framework, this paper analyze how digital transformation can drive green supply chain development. To test the TOE theoretical analysis framework, this paper calculates the digital transformation and green supply chain development index at the provincial level in China and conducts an empirical study. The main findings and implications of this paper can be summarized in the following aspects: First, according to the TOE theory, the external environment dimensions, such as the market and policy environments, affect the role of digital technology in promoting GSC development. Second, in the organizational dimensions, labor–capital relations, company size, and ownership factors can all affect the contribution of digital transformation to green supply chains. With the development of new-generation information technologies, such as big data and artificial intelligence, digital twins have become a key technology in intelligent manufacturing. The introduction of digital twin technology has addressed many problems in discrete manufacturing lines, including low visualization and difficult cyber–physical integration. However, the application of digital twin technology to discrete manufacturing lines still faces problems of low modeling accuracy, response delay, and insufficient production line control accuracy. Therefore, this paper proposes a digital twin four-dimension fusion modeling method to solve the above problems. First, a digital twin system architecture for a discrete manufacturing production line is designed. Then, the information control dimension is integrated into traditional digital twin modeling methods. Further, a digital twin geometry–physics–behavior–information control four-dimension fusion modeling method is proposed. This method can describe the geometric and physical characteristics of a physical entity and map its behavior mechanism. More importantly, it reveals the control logic and virtual–real mapping rules, which provides important support for the virtual–real intelligent mutual control. Finally, the feasibility and effectiveness of the proposed method are verified by experiments on a fidget spinner discrete manufacturing line, and a digital twin operation and maintenance management system is developed. The smart and resilient transformation of manufacturing firms has flourished in the last decade. This paper investigates the smart and resilient transformation of manufacturing firms with the application of digital services. It uses a Serbian data set of 136 manufacturing firms from the Digital Servitization Survey from 2022 coordinated by IFIP WG5.7. The authors applied a different method approach through social network analysis, correlation analysis, and interviews with representatives from the manufacturing firms. The main results show that manufacturing firms that apply an adequate combination of services and digital technologies have the highest impact on the network of manufacturing firms. Moreover, the results show that applying digital technologies, such as additive manufacturing/3D printing, big data analytics, and digital twin, increases the gross annual turnover of manufacturing firms in the COVID-19 era. Finally, the results show that for a successful smart and resilient transformation, manufacturing firms need to develop a strategy and motivation oriented to profit to be resilient enough to withstand market change. In the continuously evolving field of E-government, understanding the breadth and depth of academic research is crucial for advancing governmental digital transformation and policy development. This study employs visual bibliometric analysis, using the Web of Science database to map the evolution trajectory of E-government research from 2000 to 2023. By utilizing CiteSpace for a comprehensive examination of 4536 academic articles, this paper outlines the growth patterns and thematic evolution within the field. The development of the E-government field is delineated into four distinct phases: the budding period (2000–2003), the bottleneck period (2004–2014), the development period (2015–2018), and the growth period (2019–2023), which are each marked by unique thematic shifts and technological advancements. The research results reveal the transformation of research focus in different periods, from the initial focus on the technological means and the electronic transformation of government services, moving on to more complex issues such as E-government acceptance and government transparency and corruption, and ultimately to the current focus on innovation and smart cities. In addition, the paper also clarifies that the research boom that began in 2019 is driven by technological innovation opportunities, the improvement in infrastructure, and multidisciplinary research. The construction industry has been trying to enhance the level of digitalization and autonomy by adopting various communication and information technologies (ICT), e.g., augmented reality (AR), virtual reality (VR), robotics, drones, or building information modeling (BIM). As ESG (environmental, social, and corporate governance) is consistent with the spirit of sustainable development, it is useful to elevate ESG performance to realize the sustainable development of enterprise and society. Using the data of Chinese A-share listed firms in the period of 2011 to 2019, this paper takes the National Big Data Comprehensive Pilot Zone policy as a quasi-natural experiment and uses the difference-in-differences method to assess the effect of digital economy development on ESG performance. This paper reveals the following: (1) the digital economy can facilitate ESG performance; (2) digitalization of the economy helps enterprises to propel digital transformation, which in turn lifts ESG performance; (3) digital economy development has a deeper impact on private enterprises, especially for those in China's capital cities; and (4) digital economy development moderates the inhibiting effect of ESG performance on corporate financial constraints. Cybersecurity is normally defined as protecting systems against all kinds of cyberattacks; however, due to the rapid and permanent expansion of technology and digital transformation, the threats are also increasing. One of those new threats is ransomware, which is a form of malware that aims to steal user's money. Ransomware is a form of malware that encrypts a victim's files. The attacker then demands a ransom from the victim to restore access to the data upon a large payment. Ransomware is a way of stealing money in which a user's files are encrypted and the decrypted key is held by the attacker until a ransom amount is paid by the victim. This systematic literature review (SLR) highlights recent papers published between 2020 and 2024. This paper examines existing research on early ransomware detection methods, focusing on the signs, frameworks, and techniques used to identify and detect ransomware before it causes harm. By analyzing a wide range of academic papers, industry reports, and case studies, this review categorizes and assesses the effectiveness of different detection methods, including those based on signatures, behavior patterns, and machine learning (ML). It also looks at new trends and innovative strategies in ransomware detection, offering a classification of detection techniques and pointing out the gaps in current research. The findings provide useful insights for cybersecurity professionals and researchers, helping guide future efforts to develop strong and proactive ransomware detection systems. In the ever-evolving landscape of organisational optimisation, the integration of business process management (BPM) and knowledge management (KM) emerges as a critical challenge. Beyond the opportunity to expedite the improvement of the organisation's operations, this integration serves as a gateway to unlocking the full potential of organisational knowledge and digital transformation. With its comprehensive evaluation of the dimensions of research on BPM and KM, this article aims to unveil predominant topics and evolving trends within this intersection. By doing so, it seeks to catalyse meaningful advancements in organisational management practices, underscoring the relevance and importance of this topic to the audience. The authors conducted a rigorous research process. Using bibliographic analysis, they selected 359 publications from the Scopus database. They employed performance analysis and scientific mapping methods to extract meaningful insights facilitated by MS Excel and VOSviewer applications. Additionally, they conducted an in-depth analysis of 37 publications chosen through bibliographic coupling analysis. The findings highlight a significant gap in the scholarly discourse on BPM and KM, which is evident in the limited research outcomes and minimal influence on decision-making processes. This study reiterates the need for increased dedication to this research realm, particularly in areas identified in the future research agenda recommendations, to stimulate significant advancements in organisational management practices. This paper investigates the integration of ChatGPT into educational environments, focusing on its potential to enhance personalized learning and the ethical concerns it raises. Small- and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) play a fundamental role in the global economy. However, SMEs usually have different characteristics from larger enterprises, e.g., essential resource restrictions, lower performance, and higher environmental impacts. This requires them to search for strategies to be more competitive and sustainable. A possible solution relies on introducing Lean-Green practices. Previous research indicated that digitalization could be an enabler of Lean. Lean can also help to achieve increased environmental performance using the Lean-Green approach. In this study, this important yet under-studied area is investigated as we consider digitalization as an enabler for implementing lean in SMEs, with a focus on Lean-Green practices. A systematic literature review is executed, following a new framework based on topic modelling for extracting the papers. The topic modelling is executed through latent dirichlet allocation (LDA) which is a machine learning technique. In methodological means, this paper represents an example of the frontier of digitalization for research activities. Regarding the investigated focus, the main findings revealed that digitalization is an enabler to Lean and to Lean-Green. Digital transformation is seen as an "elixir" for companies to improve their economic performance and expand their market power in the digital economy. Therefore, how does digital transformation affect enterprises' market power? This paper used machine learning to construct a digital transformation index and used panel data of listed enterprises from 2008 to 2020 to study the impact of digital transformation on market power and its mechanism of action. The findings showed that digital transformation significantly increases market power, and this conclusion still holds after considering potential endogeneity issues and conducting robustness tests. The results of mechanism analysis revealed that digital transformation facilitates endogenous scale expansion and promotes merger and acquisition (M&A), which reshapes firm boundaries and, thus, enhances market power. The construction industry is undergoing a digital transformation, with the digital twin serving as a core system for project information. This digital twin provides an opportunity to utilize AR technology for real-time verification of on-site project information. Although many AR developments for construction sites have been attempted, they have been limited to accessing information on stationary components via Building Information Models. There have been no attempts to access information on dynamically changing resources, such as personnel and equipment. This paper addresses this gap by presenting an AR framework that enables site managers to verify real-time information on specific personnel or equipment. It introduces a matching algorithm for retrieving the necessary information from the digital twin. This algorithm is pivotal in identifying and retrieving the specific information needed from the vast dataset within the digital twin. The matching process integrates object detection and tracking algorithms applied to video frames from AR devices, along with GPS and IMU sensor data. Experimental results demonstrate the potential of this matching algorithm to streamline on-site management and reduce the effort required to interact with digital twin information. With the demographic dividend disappearing, the key to achieving high-quality development in China is to promote full employment of the workforce. Women are a significant group in the job market, but they frequently face greater pressure and higher employment thresholds. Ensuring high-quality employment for women will be one of the most important tasks in the future. Based on the China Family Panel Studies data, this paper uses two-way fixed effects models, causal stepwise regression analysis, and structural equation models to study the impact of digital transformation of households on female employment and how it works. The empirical results show that digital transformation of households significantly promotes female employment. For low-security employment and high-security employment, the promotion effect of digital transformation is significant. Further mechanism analysis shows that digital transformation of households mainly increases women's human capital, improves their search for information, and stimulates improvements in social skills, thus effectively eliminating employment-related gender discrimination and ultimately promoting women's employment. The employment of blockchain technology in electronic voting (e-voting) systems is attracting significant attention due to its ability to enhance transparency, security, and integrity in digital voting. This study presents an extensive review of the existing research on e-voting systems that rely on blockchain technology. The study investigates a range of key research concerns, including the benefits, challenges, and impacts of such systems, together with technologies and implementations, and an identification of future directions of research in this domain. We use a hybrid review approach, applying systematic literature review principles to select and categorize scientific papers and reviewing the technology used in these in terms of the above key concerns. In the 252 selected papers, aspects such as security, transparency, and decentralization are frequently emphasized as the main benefits. In contrast, although aspects like privacy, verifiability, efficiency, trustworthiness, and auditability receive significant attention, they are not the primary focus. We observed a relative lack of emphasis on aspects such as accessibility, compatibility, availability, and usability in the reviewed literature. These aspects, although acknowledged, are not as thoroughly discussed as the aforementioned key benefits in the proposed solutions for blockchain-based e-voting systems, whereas the considered studies have proposed well-structured solutions for blockchain-based e-voting systems focusing on how blockchain can strengthen security, transparency, and privacy, in particular, the crucial aspect of scalability needs attention. Companies from the mechanical engineering industry are eager to embrace new technologies in their pursuit of a competitive advantage. However, the complete digitalization of the sector encounters limitations, as certain aspects necessitate human supervision or manual labor. This is where the concepts of Industry 4.0, Industry 5.0, and digital transformation become relevant. The aim of the research presented in this paper was to gather and extract valuable insights and lessons from the experiences of German companies in the plastic extrusion machinery sector with digital transformation (DT). Qualitative interpretative research was used, using in-depth expert interviews with C-level executives. We organized the findings into three categories: (i) DT communication initiatives, including the elimination of paper, CRM solutions, messenger services, home office, and online procurement platforms; (ii) departments and areas most involved, including accounting and procurement, sales and production, and construction; and (iii) cost–benefit perception, including positive assessment, long-term impacts, and variation from company to company. The results provide valuable insights into the progress of DT initiatives in companies operating in the pipe extrusion sector in Germany. Against the backdrop of increasing global environmental pollution and energy consumption, green innovation is necessary to achieve green transformation. As an industry with a huge demand for resources and energy consumption, the construction industry shoulders the mission of the times to promote green innovation to enhance the ability of sustainable development. Digital technology provides new opportunities for green innovation in the construction industry. However, the impacts and mechanisms of digital transformation driving green innovation have not been thoroughly studied. In this paper, 121 listed companies in China's construction industry are selected as a sample from 2011 to 2021, and a total of 1331 annual observations are obtained, and the impact and mechanism of digital transformation on construction enterprises' green innovation are empirically analyzed by establishing regression models. The study indicates that digital transformation can facilitate green innovation in construction companies by enhancing corporate risk-taking and improving corporate governance. Compared with non-state-owned enterprises, state-owned enterprises have more endogenous incentives for green transformation based on multiple pressures, which to some extent weakens the driving role of digital transformation. The driving effect of enterprises' digital transformation is more significant when the intensity of regional environmental regulation is high. This paper examines how the digitization of construction enterprises can lead to new greening ideas from the perspective of green innovation. The construction field currently suffers from low productivity, a lack of expertise among practitioners, weak innovation, and lack of predictability. The digital twin, an advanced digital technology, empowers the construction sector to advance towards intelligent construction and digital transformation. It ultimately aims for highly accurate digital simulation to achieve comprehensive optimization of all phases of a construction project. Currently, the process of digital twin applications is facing challenges such as poor data quality, the inability to harmonize types that are difficult to integrate, and insufficient data security. Further research on the application of digital twins in the construction domain is still needed to accelerate the development of digital twins and promote their practical application. This paper analyzes the commonly used architectures for digital twins in the construction domain in the literature and summarizes the commonly used technologies to implement the architectures, including artificial intelligence, machine learning, data mining, cyber–physical systems, internet of things, virtual reality, augmented reality applications, and considers their advantages and limitations. The focus of this paper is centered on the application of digital twins in the entire lifecycle of a construction project, which includes the design, construction, operation, maintenance, demolition and restoration phases. Digital twins are mainly moving towards the integration of data and information, model automation, intelligent system control, and data security and privacy. Digital twins present data management and integration challenges, privacy and security protection, technical manpower development, and transformation needs. This paper addresses the problem of multi-source survey data sharing in power system engineering by proposing two improved methods: a survey data sharing method combined with differential privacy and a permission change method based on attribute encryption. The survey data sharing method integrated with differential privacy achieves effective cross-professional and cross-departmental data sharing while ensuring data security by introducing multi-discriminator architecture and dynamic noise adjustment. To reduce the computational and communication overhead when user permissions change during survey data sharing, the attribute encryption-based permission change method supports dynamic changes in user permissions. The effectiveness of the proposed methods has been validated through targeted experiments in different scenarios. The work in this thesis provides a new solution for dynamic sharing of survey data in power network engineering. It contributes to the digital transformation of power network projects. In the period following the global COVID-19 pandemic, financial sustainability has become critical for the survival of enterprises around the world. This paper investigates the mechanisms and implications of digital transformation on resilience from the perspective of financial sustainability, that is, financial resilience. Employing a sample of Chinese listed firms, the study documents that digital transformation was positively related to financial resilience in normal states due to improved internal corporate governance, increased analyst coverage, alleviated financial constraints, and reduced operation risk. The relationship was more significant for companies with digitally literate executives, non–state–owned companies, and high–tech companies. However, it was not significant during the period of the COVID-19 pandemic and for companies with consecutive losses and delisting warnings. These findings provide unique evidence to support the beneficial effects of digital transformation on corporate resilience and to identify strategies for strengthening financial sustainability. Digital transformation is conducive to food security. This paper constructed an index system of the digitization level of the grain industry chain based on the panel data of 30 provinces in China from 2011 to 2022. It adopted the entropy method to measure it and analyzed the law of its spatial–temporal evolution. It was found that the digitization level of China's grain industry chain has shown a year-on-year growth trend, and, at the same time, there are spatial spillover effects and spatial heterogeneity. Analyzed by Theil's index, there were evident differences among the four major regions and three major grain functional areas in China, and the differences mainly originated from within the region, and there was a phenomenon of "digital divide". The digitalization level of China's grain industry chain has shown a decreasing trend of "East-Middle-West". Digital transformation is becoming more ingrained into everyday life and is a talking point among researchers today. Integrated technology management in building smart ports or intelligent ports is a crucial concern for global sustainable development, especially when human societies are facing increasing risks from climate change, sea-levels rising, and supply chain disruptions. By mapping the knowledge base of 103 papers on intelligent ports, retrieved in late December 2022 from the Web of Science, this study conducted a roadmapping exercise using knowledge mapping findings, assisted by Bibliometrix, VoSviewer, and customized Python scripts. The three structural (intellectual, social, and conceptual) aspects of knowledge structure reveal the significance of the internet of things (IoT), the fourth industrial revolution (Industry 4.0), digitalization and supply chains, and the need for digital transformation alignment across various stakeholders with Industry 4.0 practices. Furthermore, an even geographical distribution and institutional representation was observed across major continents. The results of the analysis of the conceptual structure demonstrated the existence of several established and emerging clusters of research, namely (1) industry data, IoT, and ICT, (2) industry 4.0, (3) smart airports, (4) automation; and (5) protocol and security. The overall empirical findings revealed the underlying technology and innovation management issues of digital transformation alignment across stakeholders in IoT, Industry 4.0, 5G, Big Data, and AI integrated solutions. In relation to roadmapping, this study proposed a socio-technical transition framework for prototyping ecosystem innovations surrounding smart sustainable ports, focusing on contributing to valuable carbon or greenhouse gas emission data governance, management, and services in global value chains. This article discusses how travel and tourism organizations, the hardest-hit by the COVID-19 pandemic, have used the technology tools to deal with COVID challenges. Specifically, through a bibliometric literature review of relevant research papers on the topic of tourism and COVID-19, we provide evidence of how COVID-19 has accelerated the adoption and diffusion of various technologies by different stakeholders in the tourism value chain, and we show how these technologies have been used to deal with the challenges posed by COVID-19 pandemic. The review evidences the main research areas and allows to define future directions. Nowadays, digital transformation (DX) is the key concept to change and improve the operations in governments, companies, and schools. Therefore, any data should be digitized for processing by computers. Unfortunately, a lot of data and information are printed and handled on paper, although they may originally come from digital sources. Data on paper can be digitized using an optical character recognition (OCR) software. However, if the paper contains a table, it becomes difficult because of the separated characters by rows and columns there. It is necessary to solve the research question of "how to convert a printed table on paper into an Excel table while keeping the relationships between the cells?" In this paper, we propose a printed table digitization algorithm using image processing techniques and OCR software for it. First, the target paper is scanned into an image file. Second, each table is divided into a collection of cells where the topology information is obtained. Third, the characters in each cell are digitized by OCR software. Finally, the digitalized data are arranged in an Excel file using the topology information. We implement the algorithm on Python using OpenCV for the image processing library and Tesseract for the OCR software. For evaluations, we applied the proposal to 19 scanned and 17 screenshotted table images. The results show that for any image, the Excel file is generated with the correct structure, and some characters are misrecognized by OCR software. The improvement will be in future works. As digital technology and corporate management increasingly converge, enterprises are actively pursuing digital transformation to enhance their environmental, social, and corporate governance (ESG) performance, thereby seeking to cultivate novel competitive advantages. This paper studies the impacts of risk-taking and top management team (TMT) as distinct mechanisms on the digital transformation and ESG performance of enterprises. The empirical findings demonstrate that digital transformation has a positive influence on corporate risk-taking, as well as further enhancing the ESG performance of enterprises. Additionally, it was found that educational level, as one of the characteristics of TMT, can moderate digital transformation's impact on ESG performance. The advent of the digital era has put forward an urgent need for the digitization of metrology, and the digitization of metrology vocabularies is one of the fundamental and critical steps to achieve the digital transformation of metrology. Metrology vocabulary ontology can facilitate the exchange and sharing of data and is an important way to achieve the digitization of metrology vocabulary. Time metrology vocabulary is a special and important part of the whole metrology vocabulary, and constructing its ontology can reduce the problems caused by semantic confusion, help to smooth the progress of metrological work, and promote the digital transformation of metrology. Currently, the existing ontology for metrology vocabulary is primarily the MetrOnto ontology, but it lacks a systematic description of the vocabulary of time metrology. To address this issue, improve the metrology vocabulary ontology, and lay the groundwork for realizing the digital transformation of metrology, this paper takes time metrology vocabulary as the research object; proposes a classification principle that meets the inherent requirements of time transfer in the digital world; adopts the seven-step method of ontology construction to construct an ontology specialized in time metrology vocabulary, OTMV (Ontology of Time Metrology Vocabulary); and conducts an ontology consistency check, a machine-readable validation, a machine-understandable primary validation, and information retrieval validation on it. The validation results show that OTMV has correct syntactic and logical consistency and is capable of realizing machine-readable, machine-understandable, and information retrieval. The construction of this ontology provides a systematic description of the time measurement vocabulary that can address the problem of word expression of time metrology vocabulary in the digital world and lay the foundation for the digitization of our metrology vocabulary, as well as its readability, understandability, and sharing. Reducing the carbon intensity of enterprises will help reduce greenhouse gas emissions, mitigate the negative impacts of global climate change, and protect the ecological environment. To this end, based on the data of A-share listed companies in China's manufacturing industry from 2012 to 2022, the paper calculates the carbon emission intensity of enterprises, and at the same time, with the help of crawler technology, it crawls the keywords of digital transformation (DT) in the annual reports of the listed companies, portrays the intensity of DT of enterprises, and examines the impact of the level of digitization of enterprises on the carbon intensity of enterprises, along with the heterogeneous role and the mechanism of the role of the level of digitization of enterprises. The results of the study show that the digital revolution notably reduces the carbon emission intensity of enterprises. The inhibitory effect of DT is more significant for non-state-owned firms, industries with high market concentration, and regions with low environmental regulations. The findings of the mechanism test show that DT decreases the intensity of corporate carbon emissions by encouraging green innovation, with substantive green innovation being the main transmission channel behind strategic green innovation. In the context of the digital economy era, can digital transformation promote the improvement of non-financial performance of manufacturing enterprises? Taking Shanghai and Shenzhen A-share listed manufacturing firms from 2012 to 2021 as instances, this paper decomposes non-financial performance from five dimensions: innovation performance, ESG performance, working capital management performance, organizational resilience, and corporate market competitiveness, and examines the effects and mechanisms of the digital revolution on manufacturing companies' non-financial performance via empirical analysis. The findings are as follows: (1) digital transformation of manufacturing enterprises plays a significant positive role in innovation performance, ESG performance, working capital management performance, organizational resilience, and corporate market competitiveness, and (2) digital transformation can promote the improvement of non-financial performance of manufacturing enterprises by improving the quality of internal control. In addition, the heterogeneity analysis results show that digital transformation contributes more to the non-financial performance of non-state-owned manufacturing enterprises. With the rise of research on the integration of emergence theory and complex systems, value emergence has become a new model of value creation in green innovation ecosystems. Exploring the research status of green innovation ecosystems from the perspective of value emergence has become a research hotspot in the field of management science. Therefore, the purpose of this paper is to use bibliometric methods, explore the current research status of green innovation ecosystems from the perspective of value emergence, and, more importantly, provide a future direction for the integration of emergence theory into complex systems. In this paper, a search was conducted in the Web of Science and CNKI databases, with a time limit from 2009 to May 2023, and through further screening, 159 articles were collected, and CiteSpace software (CiteSpace.6.3.R1) was used for visualizing and exploring bibliometric networks. This study innovatively introduce the value emergence perspective in the context of green innovation ecosystems. The basic interaction, dynamic promotion, and feedback loop of value emergence are taken as the research framework, and the generation mechanism and dynamic evolution of the green innovation ecosystem are analyzed. Finally, three prospects for future research are presented: How do green innovation entities generate basic resources? How do digital transformation and dynamic capabilities promote emerging value? Enterprise Digital Intelligence Transformation is based on the Digital Conversion of information and process service upgrading, further touching the enterprise's core business, with the goal of building a new business model of Digital Intelligence Transformation at a higher level. Based on dynamic capability theory, this paper conducts an in-depth study on the mechanism of enterprise Digital Intelligence Transformation and firm performance. This paper selects manufacturing companies listed in China's Shanghai and Shenzhen A-shares from 2013 to 2022 as the research sample, and analyzes and tests the sample data using empirical research methods in order to explore the actual impact of Digital Intelligence Transformation on firm performance, including the specific pathways of action and moderating effects. This study helps enterprises to positively face the megatrend of Digital Intelligence Transformation and upgrading and the challenges it brings, and to grasp the new opportunities in the digital era. This study finds that enterprises carry out digital empowerment transformation and development strategies, and implement information Digital Conversion, service upgrading, and Digital Intelligence Transformation to promote firm performance to different degrees. Enterprise innovation resilience has a mechanism effect between information digitalization conversion enterprise performance and process service upgrading enterprise performance. The higher the environmental uncertainty, the greater the positive contribution of information digitalization to firm performance. Digital Conversion is the base and service upgrading is the process. The current sample enterprises have limited years of data collection, and most of them have only carried out the strategic implementation of Digital Conversion or servitization, and have not reached the high-level stage of digital and intellectual transformation. Therefore, it is found that enterprise innovation resilience has not yet shown a significant role mechanism effect between digital–intelligent transformation and enterprise performance at present. And environmental uncertainty has not yet shown a significant moderating effect in the stage of Servitization Upgrading and digital–intelligent transformation. Over the last decade, the digital twin (DT) concept has effectively revolutionized conventional bridge monitoring and management. Despite their overall success, current bridge DTs encounter conceptual ambiguities, hindering their inherent potential for practical implementation. Moreover, intelligent decision support models have not been properly considered as a component of the bridge DTs framework to enhance the reliability of decisions for asset maintenance. Therefore, this paper conducts a scientometric analysis and a comprehensive state-of-the-art review, exploring current bridge DT research trends and architectures and introducing an enhanced conceptual framework for bridge DTs. The objective of this research is to explore the impact mechanism of agricultural digital transformation in alleviating the mismatch of agricultural land resources and provide an effective path for the formation of new quality agricultural productivity. Using the balance panel data of 29 provinces in China from 2011 to 2022, this paper analyzed the mitigation effect and mechanism of agricultural digitalization on agricultural land resource misallocation from the perspectives of land scale management and agricultural socialization services. The results indicate that agricultural digitalization can alleviate the misallocation of agricultural land resources, promote the large-scale management of agricultural land, and improve the level of agricultural socialization services, all significant ways to reduce the mismatch of agricultural land resources. The heterogeneity test showed that the mitigation effect of agricultural digitalization on the agricultural land resource mismatch in eastern and central China and major grain-producing areas was better than that in western China and non-major grain-producing areas. Hence, we ought to strengthen the construction of agricultural digital infrastructures and play into the role of agricultural land scale management and agricultural socialization services in slowing down the mismatch of agricultural land resources. In terms of sustainable governance sophisticated and secure voting systems are necessary to achieve high integrity and transparency and null election fraud, and, in environmental sustainability, e-voting systems eliminate the mass waste of paper and transportation gas emissions; namely, e-voting systems are eco-friendly with high democratic outcomes. Blockchain technology can revolutionize e-voting by increasing the security and transparency of the voting process. Integrating artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) into blockchain-based e-voting systems further augments their effectiveness. AI algorithms can analyze voting patterns and detect irregularities, supporting the prevention of fraudulent activities and coercion. ML procedures can enhance voter authentication processes, improve accessibility for diverse demographics, and optimize the productivity of blockchain networks during peak voting periods. This study focuses on understanding citizen perceptions of blockchain-based e-voting in a smart city context using the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM). The study's results indicate that perceived ease of use and perceived usefulness are important factors in determining citizens' intentions to use blockchain-based e-voting. Furthermore, trust in the technology and perceived security were found to influence the usefulness of blockchain-based e-voting positively. This study provides important insights for policymakers and technologists seeking to promote the adoption of blockchain-based e-voting systems in smart cities. By adopting a systematic literature and science mapping review, this paper aims to explore the impact of artificial intelligence (AI) on organizational justice and project performance. A total of 47 bibliographic records from the Scopus database were analyzed. The results revealed the annual publication trends of research articles and relevant peer-reviewed journals in the studied domain. It was found that while AI technology has made significant progress in several fields, its application areas in project management and organizational justice are still relatively low. Moreover, it objectively discussed the co-occurrence analysis of keywords, co-authors, countries/regions, and documents in the fields, revealing the current research topics. The main research topics include the (1) AI's influence on organizational justice, decision analysis, and digital transformation, (2) fostering organizational justice and AI's role in enhancing project performance, and (3) improving organizational performance approaches. Furthermore, this paper proposed research gaps and future research directions, including (1) advancing business intelligence strategies, (2) unlocking AI technology potential on organizational justice and project performance, (3) the adaption of cultural, diversity, environmental, and social factors, (4) the impact of AI on complex and challenging leadership styles, and (5) developing a comprehensive understanding of the agile framework. In order to help enterprises to achieve high-quality development and improve the capital market regulatory policies by supporting with more factual basis from China, this paper conducts research on clarifying impact mechanism of digital transformation on M&A efficiency of listed companies. Taking the mergers and acquisitions of listed companies from 2007 to 2021 as a research sample, the influence mechanism of the digital transformation degree of companies on their M&A efficiency was studied. The research results show that the digital transformation of listed companies will improve their M&A efficiency. Digital transformation will reduce the degree of mispricing stocks of M&A companies, curb conflicts between managers and agents of M&A companies, and improve their M&A efficiency. Further research finds that the promotion effect of digital transformation on M&A efficiency is more significant in non-state-owned companies, with a higher degree of financing constraint and high analyst attention. In the future, regulatory authorities should actively promote the digital transformation of listed companies, curb mispricing and management agency problems in the capital market with digital governance, and improve the efficiency of mergers and acquisitions in the capital market. Despite technological progress and a large amount of research on Industry 4.0, digital transformation remains a complex process that most manufacturers are hesitant to invest in. Interest in digital Kanban, for example, remains low compared with traditional Kanban, which is widely used. This applies to the other card-based production control systems, including CONstant Work-In-Process (CONWIP), which is the focus of this paper. In an industrial context where digitization and Industry 4.0 are the main trends, one may wonder why traditional CONWIP is preferred to digital CONWIP. Following a praxeological approach (i.e., study of practice and instrumentation), this article explores the strengths and weaknesses of the CONWIP practice, in both its paper and electronic versions, while taking into account the human dimension. The aim is to motivate potential CONWIP users to implement it in its digital mode and to show them how a Digital Twin-based solution can overcome the managerial problems that arise with digitization while enabling improved performance. Asphalt mixes comprise aggregates, additives and bitumen. The aggregates are of varying sizes, and the finest category, referred to as sands, encompasses the so-called filler particles present in the mixture, which are smaller than 0.063 mm. As part of the H2020 CAPRI project, the authors present a prototype for measuring filler flow, through vibration analysis. The vibrations are generated by the filler particles crashing to a slim steel bar capable of withstanding the challenging conditions of temperature and pressure within the aspiration pipe of an industrial baghouse. This paper presents a prototype developed to address the need for quantifying the amount of filler in cold aggregates, considering the unavailability of commercially viable sensors suitable for the conditions encountered during asphalt mix production. In laboratory settings, the prototype simulates the aspiration process of a baghouse in an asphalt plant, accurately reproducing particle concentration and mass flow conditions. The experiments performed demonstrate that an accelerometer positioned outside the pipe can replicate the filler flow within the pipe, even when the filler aspiration conditions differ. The obtained results enable extrapolation from the laboratory model to a real-world baghouse model, making it applicable to various aspiration processes, particularly those involving baghouses. Open innovation and digital servitization have been hot topics in existing research. Moreover, the latest research in entrepreneurship and general management justifies that the performance results of specific innovation strategies are usually influenced by dynamic capabilities. However, there is little empirical research on the linkage of open innovation, digital servitization, and micro-foundations of digital dynamic capabilities that affect alliance performance. The emerging literature on open innovation provides partial insight into the micro-foundations of digital dynamic capabilities. Based on it, from a dynamic capability perspective, this paper constructs a conceptual model of research including coupled open innovation of collaborative partners, alliance's formation phases, and dynamic digital capabilities and their micro-foundations which impact alliance performance in grocery retail. The paper aims to provide an overarching view of the digital servitization process of grocery retailers and unpack the micro-foundations of the digital transformation of their business models to sustain advantages. Based on the digital transformation practice of Chinese manufacturing enterprises, this paper sorts out the intrinsic mechanism of digital transformation affecting the performance of manufacturing enterprises systematically, based on the perspective of digital investment, and empirically tests the theoretical hypothesis using an unbalanced panel of China's A-share listed manufacturing companies in Shanghai and Shenzhen from 2007 to 2020. The findings show that digital transformation enhances manufacturing firm performance significantly, and the conclusions still hold after using dynamic panel models, the instrumental variables approach, and a series of robustness tests; further analysis reveals that this effect is more significant in state-owned enterprises and manufacturing enterprises in regions with a higher degree of marketization. The results of the mediating effect model show that low-cost empowerment and innovation empowerment are important channels to improve the performance of manufacturing enterprises. Accordingly, this paper argues that accelerating the deep integration of digital technology and enterprise development is the key to achieving high-quality development and improving enterprise performance in the context of an uncertain business environment. Background: This article attempts to formulate a school-based model to capitalise on the opportunities and strengths within schools in the Sub-Saharan Africa (SSA) regions to ideate global school-driven digital innovation(s). Consequently, this article explores various digital innovation challenges, opportunities, and elements for schools, as well as proposed school-driven interventions. The paper seeks to open conversations among various international bodies and educational stakeholders, leading to school actors taking ownership of educational projects and school innovation. Methods: A traditional literature review was adopted to analyse the subject of Digital Transformation in Education (DTE). The traditional literature review is a comprehensive and critical overview based on the past and current literature on a subject matter without stringent methodology. Through the literature review methodology, existing materials on the subject matter are subsequently used. Terms and concepts about school innovation and management/leadership were extracted for consideration. These served as a basis for formulating a reference DTE model for interventions. This paper is underpinned by two main conceptual and theoretical bases: (i) The theory of school-based management and its related indicators, and (ii) Michael Fullan's concept of school innovation, which is based on the three key factors of Technology, Pedagogy, and Change knowledge. Fullan's concept is extended to showcase how Active Learning (AL) can inform pedagogical innovation. Building permits ensure construction meets codes and regulations, but the traditional permitting process is often complex and inefficient. This perspective paper examines the current state and maturity of digitizing and automating building permits. We studied current permit workflows and the recent literature to identify digitization opportunities like online portals, automated code-checking, and data integration. Most jurisdictions are only in the early digital stages, focused on implementing electronic document management and online portals. Some leading cities have piloted more advanced capabilities like automated code compliance checking, but widespread adoption lags. The greatest challenges exist around fragmented IT environments, data integration, organizational inertia, and failing to adapt to technological advancements, such as the example of AI. Achieving higher digital permitting processes requires optimized data sharing, instant feedback loops, and automation-enabled plan reviews. While pockets of innovation exist, mainstream adoption lags behind visionary potential. Realizing the future permitting paradigm demands open data standards, configurable software infrastructure, and organizational commitment to digitize end-to-end. Digital Transformations (DT) play an increasingly important role in academia and business, yet their significant Environmental Footprint (EF) is often overlooked, sidelining their potential for Environmental Sustainability (ES). This paper bridges this gap by integrating ES into the discourse of DT, proposing Green Enterprise Architecture (GREAN) as a method for sustainable transformation. Utilizing a Design Science Research approach, we developed an artefact outlining a comprehensive strategy for embedding ES in DT across various layers of an organization. The tool's need was validated via a systematic literature review (SLR), highlighting the significant research gap in Green Enterprise Architecture. The artefact provides concrete Courses of Action (CoAs) for incorporating ES into the organizational strategy, business, data, application, and technology layers and proposes relevant capabilities to address this. The paper further presents an ES-aware business capability modelling, an innovative business modelling approach that integrates environmental sustainability principles by using (in a novel way) the presentation and analysis methods that capability mapping offers. The proposed artefact serves as a starting point for environmentally sustainable DTs. Future research directions include in-depth exploration of each enterprise layer for ES, real-world validation of our proposed tools and concepts, and the expansion of these into a full framework. In recent years, research on digital transformation (DT) and business process management (BPM) has gained significant attention in the field of business and management. This paper aims to conduct a comprehensive bibliometric analysis of global research on DT and BPM from 2007 to 2022. A total of 326 papers were selected from Web of Science and Scopus for analysis. Using bibliometric methods, we evaluated the current state and future research trends of DT and BPM. Our analysis reveals that the number of publications on DT and BPM has grown significantly over time, with the Business Process Management Journal being the most active. The countries that have contributed the most to this field are Germany (with four universities in the top 10) and the USA. The Business Process Management Journal is the most active in publishing research on digital transformation and business process management. The analysis showed that "artificial intelligence" is a technology that has been studied extensively and is increasingly asserted to influence companies' business processes. Additionally, the study provides valuable insights from the co-citation network analysis. Based on our findings, we provide recommendations for future research directions on DT and BPM.
