The development of smart elderly industry is an inevitable way to cope with the aging of the population. This research takes the smart elderly care service supply chain as the object, combines the social emotional choice theory for the first time, and uses the time perception to refine the elderly care demand into future-orientation demand and present-orientation demand. This paper analyzes the coordination effect of suppliers' efforts to meet the needs of the elderly under the two conditions of no contract and benefit-sharing contract on the dual-channel supply chain of smart elderly care services. The results show that the benefit-sharing contract is more conducive to maximizing the profit of the supply chain, and the segmentation of elderly demand is conducive to giving full play to the advantages of dual-channel differentiated services, which is conducive to forming a win-win situation of improving the service efficiency of the smart elderly service supply chain and increasing the happiness index of elderly users. The main contributions of this paper are: Using geriatric behavioral psychology to analyze the motivation of the elderly and designing the service effort level index considering the needs of the elderly. Match online and offline channels with personalized services to give full play to the "smart" effect. Co‐methodological working is gaining increasing traction in healthcare, but studies with older people have been slower to develop. Our aim was to investigate how and how well older people have been engaged in healthcare intervention design, development or delivery using co‐methodologies. We conducted a systematic search of four electronic databases to identify international literature published between 2009 and November 2019. We included peer‐reviewed empirical research of any design. Three authors screened papers. Our review is reported in accordance with the Joanna Briggs Institute manual for scoping reviews, we have referred to the preferred reporting items for systematic reviews and meta‐analyses statement. We data extracted to a bespoke spreadsheet and used the Co:Create Co‐production Matrix to guide quality appraisal. Included studies (n = 48) were diverse in nature of interventions, co‐methodologies and reporting. We offer a narrative summary of included papers. Establishing how older people were engaged in co‐methodological work was largely straightforward. How well this was done was more challenging, however we have identified gems of good practice and offered directions for future practice. The Co:Create Co‐Production Matrix was the best fit for evaluating papers, however it is not intended as a measure per se. In essence we argue that notions of 'best' and 'scores' are an oxymoron in co‐methodological working, what is important that: (a) researchers embrace these methods, (b) incremental change is the way forward, (c) researchers need to do what is right for people and purpose and (d) have time to consider and articulate why they are choosing this approach and how best this can be achieved for their particular situation. As the number of the elderly population and the population dependency ratio increase year by year, the issue of old-age care has become the focus. However, due to the shortage of carers and the large-scale and expensive auxiliary equipment for the elderly, it is difficult to give thoughtful care to all the elderly. In view of the above background, this paper designs a set of intelligent nursing system for the elderly based on artificial intelligence (AI) algorithms, which mainly includes sensor terminals and AI processing algorithms. Among them, the sensor terminal mainly includes two parts: video monitoring and human biological signal monitoring. For video surveillance signals, this paper uses scene event detection algorithm to detect abnormal events, so as to automatically perceive possible unexpected situations. For human biological signals, such as heart rate, blood pressure, and pulse, the abnormal detection is carried out through data analysis and comparison with the normal index range. So, the possible problems in the physical state of the elderly can be judged in time. Through more comprehensive state monitoring and reliable algorithm processing, the system can effectively solve many hidden dangers in the current elderly care and provide a feasible solution for smart nursing. At present, there is an increasingly serious phenomenon of rural aging and mutual support for the aged in China. Taking this as the background and opportunity, this paper discusses the feasibility and realization path of the further development of the rural mutual support model based on the results of the field investigation of the mutual support network, including the study of mutual support relationship and spatial network. This paper proposes to analyze the internal mechanism by sorting out the internal driving forces and potential resources of mutual assistance and to construct a framework of rural elderly support system that meets the requirements of the mutual care model for the elderly from the three dimensions of operation, function, and space. When the elderly enter the old age, their physical functions gradually decline; their physical strength, vision, and hearing are weakened; and their self-care ability gradually decreases with the increase of age. At the same time, it is accompanied by different degrees of anxiety and psychological problems. The rapid development of virtual reality technology in recent years provides a way to solve this problem, and high-performance computer and processing technology are the keys to directly affect the performance of the system. The existing research is more about the material and spiritual life of the elderly, but the research on their psychological status is relatively insufficient. From the perspective of mental health, this study makes a comprehensive and objective empirical study on the psychological status of family elderly. Based on virtual reality (VR), by extracting heart rate variability (HRV) features from the elderly, this paper establishes a model to identify the psychological pressure of family elderly, which solves the problem that the elderly have adverse effects on their body, mind, and life due to long-term psychological pressure. The paper analyzes the accuracy of KNN, CNN, and RFC models in identifying three psychological stress states: relaxation and low-pressure state, relaxation and medium-pressure state, and relaxation and high-pressure state. When the pressure is higher, the accuracy of the three models will be better than that of the lower pressure state. In this paper, we analyze the changes in family structure and explore the changes in detail, based on which we construct a neural network model of smart aging. Based on the gender perspective, the individual growth model in the multilayer linear model is used to examine the effects of family structure changes on the elderly in terms of economic exchange, daily care, and emotional support. The results show that there is no significant gender difference in the family structure changes on the elderly in terms of economic exchange and daily care, but there is a significant gender difference in terms of emotional support. To solve the problem of data imbalance in the daily activity categories of the elderly, this paper resamples the data and uses different neural network models for activity recognition of the sensor data generated from the daily activities of the elderly. In this paper, the daily behavior patterns of the elderly over a while are studied by correlating three conditions of time distance, optimal path, and sensor distance to discover the daily behavior patterns of the elderly, while the abnormal behavior patterns can be well separated by EM clustering algorithm. The daily behavior of the elderly is a coarse-grained representation of their daily activities. It is not limited to a specific activity and does not require the sensor ID, trigger time, and location triggered by the activity to be consistent, but in long-term daily activity data, it abstracts the general behavior rules of the elderly activities. Unnecessarily prolonged stays in hospitals can have negative impacts on patients and present avoidable costs to health and social care systems. This paper presents the qualitative findings of a multi‐methods study of the social care causes of delayed transfers of care (DTOC) for older people in England. The quantitative strand of this study found that DTOC are significantly affected by homecare supply. In this paper, we explore in depth how and why social care capacity factors lead to delays, from the perspectives of those working within the system. We examined the local transfer arrangements in six English local authority (LA) sites that were purposively sampled to include a range of DTOC performance and LA characteristics. Between March and December 2018, 52 professionals involved in arranging or facilitating discharge from hospitals in these sites provided qualitative data, primarily through semi‐structured interviews. Topics included discharge teams and processes, strategic issues and perceived causes of delays. The thematic analysis uncovered the nuances behind the causes of DTOC previously categorised broadly as 'provider capacity' and 'patient choice'. In particular, our analysis highlights the lack of fit between available provision and the needs of people leaving hospital (theme 1); workforce inconsistencies (theme 2) and a myth of patient choice (theme 3). We are now at a turning point in the development of policy to reduce DTOC in the English system, with the full implications of a new national discharge to assess programme yet to be seen. Our research shows the significance of the alignment of service capacity, including the type and location of provision, with the needs and preferences of those leaving hospital. Studying the quality evaluation of community elderly care services and establishing a complete, scientific, and objective community elderly care service method can establish the online reputation of enterprises and help elderly users obtain cost-effective elderly care services. This is very important for healthy development. This paper puts forward a new evaluation model for the quality of community elderly care service. The evaluation method based on the model is designed, the quality evaluation model is constructed, and the community evaluation system is developed. From the aspects of requirement analysis, design, implementation, and testing, the specific implementation process of the system is described. This paper puts forward a community evaluation model which accords with the clustering model: community elderly care service quality evaluation method. AIS-OR mathematical modeling is carried out. Under the guidance of the model, the secondary indicators are analyzed and determined, and the mathematical model of indicator evaluation is constructed. We use text mining technology and emotion analysis to determine the relationship between comment emotion and community elderly care service quality online and build a quality emotion feature library. The naive Bayesian algorithm is used to classify the online evaluation of the service quality of community elderly care services, which verified by experiments and completed the design and development of the community elderly care service quality evaluation system based on the project needs. Lacking human-computer collaborative capability is one of the key problems commonly faced by the existing escort robots. To this end, a helping elderly escort interactive system based on reverse active integration of multimodal intentions (MES) is proposed in this paper in response to the elderly's decline in language expression ability, memory, and other abilities. This system can understand the intention of the elderly based on scene perception and three-modal information: speech, gesture, and posture. In detail, the system can extract the interactive intention from the nondeterministic multimodal data input by the elderly and evaluate the trust degree of the extracted intention. The evaluation of intention trust degree is such a process that the system autonomously judges the feasibility of the elderly's intention and corrects the wrong intention expressed by the elderly due to memory decline by reverse thinking of "find reasons based on the results"; when the intention cannot be extracted, the system will take the initiative to ask the elderly for enhanced information conducive to the intention extraction, so as to quickly and correctly extract the interactive intention of the elderly. This design aims at improving the quality of elderly care, making the interaction between the elderly and the robot more natural, improving the accuracy in intention extraction from fuzzy expression, as well as breaking the traditional "master-slave" human-computer interaction and improving the harmony of human-computer interaction. Further, the implementation principle of the system is detailed, and the system is evaluated in this paper. The evaluation experiment was conducted by a robot Pepper embedded with the system. Through experiments, it is verified that Pepper can quickly and accurately get the real intention of the elderly in the interaction with the elderly. In a challenging environment (such as the unclear expression of the elderly), it can still correctly extract the real intention of the elderly with an accuracy of 97% and can effectively avoid the wrong intention expressed by the elderly. With the accelerating rate of population aging in China, the health of the elderly has received more and more attention and has become one of the most important issues in the elderly care industry. Because of insufficient research on the personal health of the elderly, the value of medical examination data cannot be fully exploited, many physical indicators have a certain impact on overall health or heart health, and there are few studies on heart health assessment. This paper proposes a deep learning-based elderly management analysis method of human exercise health level, using the exercise health management model to evaluate the heart health level of the elderly. Firstly, the indicators to measure heart health are proposed through traditional expert knowledge and personal health index to analyze heart health. Through dynamic assessment, predict the heart health status at the next time point, analyze possible heart diseases, and provide corresponding methods for the health of the elderly, which helps improve the physical health of the elderly. Digital elderly care service is an innovative elderly care model, and its emergence has brought about a huge change in the field of elderly care services (ECSS). The current method is to make the elderly care service more precise and personalized, improve the ability and level, and improve the current ECSS. The defect is that the short of top-level design and overall planning is basically only in the state of trial operation. In order to solve these problems, this paper proposes to study how to intervene in social work in smart ECSS to enhance service capabilities and improve service quality on the original basis. Therefore, based on the use of human-computer interaction technology, this paper deepens the research on the current elderly care services. According to a survey of the elderly in a certain city, the digital elderly care system shows that 25.33% of the elderly prefer to use housekeeping services, and 63% of the elderly prefer healthcare services. The results show that the digital elderly care service system based on human-computer interaction technology is easier to be accepted by the elderly than the traditional elderly care service. In order to provide more comfortable living space for the elderly, this paper proposes an interior design method of aging housing based on intelligent home system of Internet of things sensors. Taking the residential area as the background environment, create the living space and environment for the elderly through intelligent means. There is a close relationship between the intelligent system in the room and the management center of the residential area and other users in the residential area. Firstly, through the theoretical research on the concepts of home-based elderly care and intelligent elderly care, the development process of intelligent elderly care is described. Finally, in the "people-oriented" concept, summarize and analyze the design methods of intelligent elderly care housing. The application results show that the interior form of the residence, the entrance of the lobby, the bedroom, and the kitchen should be designed for aging and intellectualization, respectively. For example, the clear width of the main passage of the bedroom should be greater than 900 mm, and its direction should be to the long side leading to the bed. The layout of furniture should consider leaving 1500 ∗ 1500 mm wheelchair rotation space to facilitate the activities of the elderly. Conclusion. This paper examines the relationship between the prevalence of the urgent and emergency care vanguard (UEC) at the local authority level and their delayed transfers of care (DTOC) rates in England. We created a novel measure of exposure to UEC vanguards based on the residence of patients who used UEC partner hospitals, and we group it by the level of exposure (high, medium, low, none). We use this measure to estimate the effect of UEC vanguards on DTOC rates and then on DTOC rates by sector and a range of reasons associated with the delay. The analysis was run at the local authority level (LA) using quarterly data from NHS England for 150 English LAs from the years 2012–2017. We find a statistically significant UEC exposure effect of around 0.3% reduction in total DTOC to a 1% increase of UEC exposure (equivalent to 775 DTOC days per local authority per quarter in high UEC exposure areas), a result robust to various specification checks. Nonacute sector DTOC was found to be more responsive to UEC vanguards in comparison to acute sector DTOC (0.4% and 0.3% reductions, respectively, to every 1% of UEC exposure). DTOC due to social care was particularly responsive to UEC exposure (0.7% reduction to 1% exposure). DTOC reasons associated with the highest impact of UEC exposure were as follows: awaiting a care package at own home, waiting for further NHS nonacute care, and completion of assessment (reductions of 0.5%, 0.3%, and 0.3% to 1% exposure, respectively). All three reasons were originally associated with the largest number of DTOC days. These findings further advocate for UEC vanguards having been successful at alleviating the pressure on hospitals related to DTOC. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

However, there is still a lot of research space for the integrated development of the ecological pension industry and rural revitalization, especially to establish a perfect index system of the ecological pension industry, the measurement standard of rural revitalization, and the theoretical basis and mechanism of integrated development. Regional cooperative symbiosis is based on industrial symbiosis. In terms of research methods, attention should be paid to the combination of theoretical analysis and empirical research, to the further development of this field, and to achieve remarkable results. In the process of social and economic development, the rural ecology can be built by solving the problems of the elderly, accurately reducing rural poverty, and protecting the environment. The healthy elderly care tourism destination has realized the integrated development of rural tourism, ecological health tourism, and elderly care tourism. Taking Chang'an District of Xi'an as an example, the advantages of the district in geographical location, climate, environment, tourism resource health, as well as the constraints in the system, talent, policy, and system are demonstrated, and the corresponding countermeasures are put forward. Although healthy life expectancy is projected to be increasing among older people in Ghana, a high proportion and number of older people will live with functional disability, warranting their need for long‐term care. We explored the expressions used by older people to describe their needs and preference of care and support. Using the descriptive qualitative approach, 14 older people were engaged via semi‐structured interviews, and the data were analysed thematically. The study found that older people desired a decent accommodation, preferential healthcare, adequate nutrition, and an opportunity to interact with their peers at social functions. A provision of sufficient financial assistance, adequate healthcare, the periodic organisation of social and group events for older people, and the availability of home care and support could help older people address these needs. The paper reveals the need for interventional research on how a model incorporating social, health and environmental factors even during a pandemic can address older people's varying needs. Volunteer peer support is an approach that enables a supportive connection between volunteers and a sub‐set of community members with shared experiences or interests. To implement co‐designed strategies to support older women to maintain independence and optimise wellbeing in Australia, a volunteer peer support approach was proposed. There was limited literature describing volunteer peer support frameworks to underpin interventions of this kind; and given the increasing desire for engagement of individuals and communities, articulation of the key components of such a framework is warranted. In this paper, we define volunteers and peer support, and outline existing frameworks for volunteering and peer support. We then describe the volunteer peer support framework developed for this intervention, outlining the key requirements. As a country with the fastest population aging rate in the world, China's existing elderly care and medical resources are not enough to meet the growing and complex needs of elderly care and health services. The Chinese government is actively promoting the integrated development of medical and elderly care institutions, but it has yet to give full play to the inexpensive and existing advantages of traditional Chinese medicine in the treatment of diseases and rehabilitation of the elderly, by sorting out the advantages of "TCM + intelligent pension" in medical expenses, pension costs, disease prevention, intelligent pension services, and so on. In order to explore how to realize home care for the elderly with mobility difficulties, this paper proposes a home care system for the elderly with mobility difficulties based on intelligent perception. This method explores the research of home care for mobility disabilities by recommending key technical problems and solutions based on information represented by intelligent perception. The research shows that the home care system based on intelligent perception can effectively solve the nursing problems of the elderly, which is about 60% more efficient than the traditional methods. The combination of intelligent perception and reasonable home care mode will improve the social and economic benefits of health services and promote the balance between supply and demand of the whole health services. This paper presents findings from the evaluation of an Australian trial of self‐managed home aged care. The self‐management model was codesigned by advocacy organisation COTA Australia, consumers and service providers. The primary aim of the evaluation was to examine whether self‐management improved consumers' perceptions of their choice, control, and wellbeing. The secondary aim was to examine whether provider prior experience with self‐managed packages significantly influenced consumers' perceptions of choice, control and wellbeing, thereby confounded trial effects. A pre‐test post‐test quasi‐experimental design and mixed‐methods design were used to collect data over nine months in 2018–2019. The pre‐trial methods and findings have been published. The post‐trial evaluation replicated the pre‐trial data collection method of an online survey (n = 60) and semi‐structured telephone interviews with consumers (n = 9), family carers (n = 13), and consumers and carers jointly (n = 2), totalling 24 interviews. Semi‐structured telephone interviews were also conducted with CEOs and senior managers from each of the seven providers (n = 14). Three providers had prior experience supporting self‐management. Parametric and non‐parametric tests examined the statistical data. Qualitative data were analysed thematically and framed according to self‐determination principles and ecological systems theory. Both datasets demonstrated that consumers reported greater choice and control at post‐trial than pre‐trial. This finding was not affected by providers' prior experience with self‐management; therefore, it was not a confounding factor. Participants reported improved wellbeing in interviews, however this was not reinforced statistically. Key desirable features of self‐management included greater autonomy and control over spending, recruiting support staff and paying lower administration fees. There was no evidence of increased risks or fraud. The research limitations included a small sample size, convenience sampling with providers recruiting interview participants, no control group and differences in trial implementation. The policy of government procurement of elderly care services has the vulnerability characteristics that all complex systems have. To maintain the policy's robustness, this paper studies the vulnerability of government procurement of elderly care services from the perspective of complex network. Case analysis and sample statistics are used to obtain the vulnerability influencing factors of the policy. Then, complex network diagram of vulnerability influencing factors is constructed through Pajek software. The compatibility coefficient is used to investigate the network's overall vulnerability from a macro perspective. From a micro perspective, a vulnerability index of the complex network is applied to measure each node's vulnerability value, and the vulnerability priority of the nodes is established. Results show that government purchasing power and supervisory bodies' diversity are at the first priority. The remaining vulnerability influencing factors are at the second and the third priority. At present, there is a huge gap between supply and demand of old-age services in rural areas of China. Developing rural mutual old-age services is of great significance to remedy the gap. Based on the survey data of 1200 rural residents in Hubei and Henan provinces, this paper adopts binary logistic regression model to analyze the influence of special trust and general trust on rural residents' willingness to participate in mutual care for the aged. The results show that both special trust and general trust have an impact on rural residents' willingness to participate in mutual support for the elderly, but the effect of special trust on rural residents' willingness to participate in mutual support for the elderly is not significant. General trust has a significant promoting effect on rural residents' willingness to participate in mutual care for the aged. Chinese rural residents' trust in village cadres has a significant promoting effect on their willingness to participate in mutual assistance for the aged. The trust of ordinary friends significantly inhibited their willingness to participate. The educational level, living style, and economic status of Chinese rural residents have a positive impact on their willingness to participate in mutual care for the aged. Objective and Background. In order to explore the needs of the elderly for elderly nursing services, this paper studies from this aspect; China's economic development, scientific, and technological progress and concepts have also changed. Although the living conditions of the Chinese people have improved, the rapid growth of the population has led to an aging society. Therefore, great attention has been paid to the care of the elderly. In addition, with the fast pace of life, many elderly people with chronic diseases, poor physical conditions, and need spiritual comfort are in a state of lack of care for a long time. It has affected the stability and harmony of Chinese society. Methods. 500 inpatients with chronic diseases in a famous tertiary hospital in a city were studied, and the corresponding countermeasures were put forward through the analysis of their needs and influencing factors. Results. The study found that the vast majority of elderly patients have higher requirements for elderly care services, which is related to factors such as family income. Compared with the huge medical demand, there is a large gap in the level of domestic medical and health talents. According to relevant research, the current number of beds in China is 1 : 0.27, but in fact it is 1 : 0.4. Therefore, relevant units should strengthen the health examination of the elderly, provide high-quality medical services, make full use of health resources, and strengthen nursing management, so as to improve the quality of nursing services. Conclusion. The survey results show that the vast majority of elderly patients have high requirements for their elderly care services, which is related to family income and other related factors. Aiming at the problems of poor fairness of resource allocation and long time-consuming allocation of traditional methods, a method of resource optimization allocation under dynamic monitoring of medical care combined with elderly care mode is proposed. The integrated medical and elderly care model is analyzed, the role of dynamic monitoring in the optimal allocation of resources in the integrated medical and elderly care model is discussed, and a general model for optimal allocation of medical and elderly resources based on the analysis results is established. Based on the criterion of "minimum variance of estimation error," a combined prediction model is established to obtain the combined prediction results. The investment objects of the optimal allocation of resources in the elderly care model are clustered in advance by using the clustering method, and the investment objects of the optimal allocation of resources in the elderly care model are comprehensively evaluated by using the principal component analysis method. According to the actual results of the comprehensive evaluation, the improved whale algorithm is used to allocate pension resources reasonably, and the fairness and applicability of the allocation results are analyzed experimentally. The big health industry and old-age care services will complement and promote each other in terms of industrial factors, industrial layout, and policy linkage and form a coupling effect in this process. Hospital services and pension services are professional property service formats, and they are also the exploration achievements of the property management industry in implementing the supply-side structural reform, transformation, upgrading, and development and are indispensable forces for the property management industry to participate in building a better life. The health and happiness of the elderly is an important symbol of social civilization and progress, and it is also an important content of implementing the Healthy China Action. The pension industry serving the healthy life of the aged population will form a huge demand for the big health industry, and its development will drive the big health industry. The needs of older lesbian and gay people regarding access and use of aged‐care services remain underresearched. This paper reports the findings of 33 qualitative interviews with older lesbian women and gay men about their perceptions and experiences of residential aged‐care and home‐based aged‐care services in Australia. The focus of this paper is their preparedness for using aged‐care services. The results highlight that participants had a number of concerns related to accessing residential‐care services in particular, including perceptions of a lack of inclusivity and concerns of potential for discrimination and hostility, loss of access to community and partners, decreased autonomy and concerns relating to quality of care and the potential for elder abuse. Participants noted a number of strategies they employed in avoiding residential‐care services, including the use of home‐care services, renovating the home for increased mobility, moving to locations with greater access to outside home‐care services, a preference for lesbian/gay‐specific housing and residential‐care options if available, and the option of voluntary euthanasia to ensure dignity and autonomy. Participants, on the whole, were hopeful that they would never require the use of residential‐care services, with some believing that having current good health or the support of friends could prevent this from happening. The findings suggest that older lesbian and gay people have a variety of concerns with aged‐care and may need additional support and education to improve their perceptions and experiences of services, whether these are needed presently or in the future. Aim: To identify organisational characteristics and practices that promote or inhibit the recognition of sexuality in the care of older people in health and aged care settings. Background: Sexuality in old age is poorly understood by health professionals and rarely addressed in care planning and delivery. Nurse managers are ideally placed to lead organisations in promoting a culture of acceptance that enables the expression of sexuality. Evaluation: A search for research/expert opinion papers published from January 2004 to February 2017 was undertaken. Two reviewers performed data extraction and appraisal of 34 included studies using Joanna Briggs Institute tools. The primarily qualitative research was analysed to identify 152 findings that were organised into 22 categories and combined into four syntheses. Key issue(s): An organisation's philosophies frame the way older people's sexuality is perceived. Cultivating a culture and environment of acceptance, engagement and knowledge and delivering care in a way that promotes opportunity for safe and private expression of sexuality are key enabling factors. Conclusion(s): Organisations and nurse leaders can support and facilitate older adults' expression of their sexuality through the review and development of philosophies, policies, procedures, staff attitudes and knowledge and the creation of a conducive environment. Implications for Nursing Management: Nurse managers play a pivotal role in developing a sexuality‐positive organisational ethos by ensuring policies, care practices, the environment and amenities are supportive of the expression of sexuality and by role modelling attitudes of respect and inclusivity. With the increasingly serious population aging, economic system transformation, and social transformation, the elderly have an increasingly strong demand for the elderly care service industry, but the development of China's elderly care service industry started late, and there are still many problems. For how to build a better elderly care service model, under the current situation of shortage of elderly care resources, community elderly care may become a solution. By analyzing the status quo, existing problems and development trends of home-based care services in Hangzhou's community, and learning from foreign experience, it explores the establishment of a "integrated physical, medical, and nursing care" community health management model for the elderly and provides a perfect solution for the development of Hangzhou's community elderly care services countermeasures and suggestions for mode operation. Based on the evaluation, problem analysis, and empirical research on the current situation of home care services in Hangzhou communities, this paper draws on relatively mature community care practices, proposes to build a community elderly health management model that combines medical care and care, and improves and innovates the overall design and medical care of the elderly service model measures for the health management of the elderly in the integrated community. The experimental results of this study show that, according to the demand for elderly care services, elderly people in need of care account for 86.6%, 79.5%, and 68.4% of the elderly population, especially in the areas of medical care, life care, and housekeeping services. In England, care to support people living at home is largely commissioned by local authorities (statutory organisations with responsibility for social care in specific localities) from non‐statutory home‐care providers (for‐profit, not‐for‐profit, voluntary). This paper explores how managers of these services perceive commissioning arrangements and their impact on home‐care providers, the care workforce and service users. Little formal research of providers' experiences of working with local authorities in a commissioning model is available. A qualitative study employed semi‐structured telephone interviews with 20 managers of for‐profit home‐care providers from 10 selected local authority areas in England. Data were analysed using thematic analysis to identify main and subsidiary themes. Home‐care providers reported operating in a complex and changeable partnership with commissioners, characterised by: (a) relationships ranging from transactional to collaborative, (b) providers expressing a strong sense of public service motivation, (c) commissioning practices that were complex to negotiate, time‐consuming and overly prescriptive, (d) frequent changes in commissioning practices and a perceived lack of strategic planning, which were reported as contributing to uncertainty and tension for providers and confusion for service users. Attempting to operate a market model with tightly prescribed contracts is likely to be unsustainable. An alternative approach based on a collaborative model of joint responsibility for providing home care is recommended drawing on a conceptual framework of principal–steward relationships in contracting. Considering the credit index calculation differences, semantic differences, false data, and other problems between platforms such as Internet finance, e-commerce, and health and elderly care, which lead to the credit deviation from the trusted range of credit subjects and the lack of related information of credit subjects, in this paper, we proposed a crossplatform service credit conflict detection model based on the decision distance to support the migration and application of crossplatform credit information transmission and integration. Firstly, we give a scoring table of influencing factors. Score is the probability of the impact of this factor on credit. Through this probability, the distance matrix between influencing factors is generated. Secondly, the similarity matrix is calculated from the distance matrix. Demographic situation, changes in the role of women in society and growing demand for long‐term care (LTC) of older people have challenged the ability to meet the growing LTC needs in most developed countries. In countries where responsibility for LTC is still largely laid on families, it is, however, even more critical and calls for improvements in formal LTC systems. More intensive stakeholder collaboration in LTC policy development, organising and delivery are of primary importance in improving LTC systems. Such collaboration, however, is not always successful; thus, it is critical to understand what makes it effective and efficient. In this paper, we specifically look into multistakeholder collaboration in LTC in Lithuania, one of the fastest ageing countries in the EU, with the demand for LTC services growing fast and exceeding the supply despite rising business and NGO engagement. To determine facilitators of such collaboration, we build on the data obtained through eight focus group discussions with all key stakeholder representatives (LTC policymakers, organisers and service providers [public, private and NGOs], 54 participants in total). Our findings indicate that in addition to national and organisational level facilitators studied in prior research, there are important individual level factors, such as meaningfulness at work, concern and care for others, possibility for personal growth and development, satisfaction with supervision, a sense of belonging and role clarity. On the other hand, our results show that collaboration is constrained by a shortage of human resources, increased workload caused by growing LTC demand, bureaucratic requirements, legal restrictions, lack of awareness of LTC service availability among elder persons, and prevailing social norms and attitudes to institutionalised care. Accurate quantitative evaluation of the supervision effect of the smart pension industry can reduce the cost of social pension. The traditional methods cannot effectively classify the regulatory risk levels of the smart pension industry. Therefore, this paper proposes a multisource information intelligent fusion algorithm based on the intelligent pension industry optimization path research. Firstly, we establish the principal model of the supervision effect system of the intelligent elderly care industry optimization path and describe the risk level of the supervision effect from different levels. We build the intelligent service platform of the intelligent elderly care training, calculate the weight vector of the supervision risk of the optimization path at all levels, and determine the attribute type of the supervision effect at all levels. Finally, we calculate the maximum influence value of the supervision effect of the intelligent elderly care industry optimization path and use this value to complete the quantitative evaluation of its supervision effect. Simulation results show that the proposed method can evaluate the regulatory effect of smart pension industry and improve the precision of the regulatory effect of smart pension industry effectively. As the world’s population of senior citizens continues to grow, the burden on the professionals who care for them (carers) is also increasing. In nursing homes, carers often write daily reports to improve the resident’s quality of life. However, since each carer needs to simultaneously care for multiple residents, they have difficulty thoroughly recording the activities of residents. In this paper, we address this problem by proposing an automatic daily report generation system that monitors the activities of nursing home residents. The proposed system estimates the multiple locations (areas) at which residents are situated with a BLE beacon, using a variety of methods to analyze the RSSI values of BLE signals, and recognizes the activity of each resident from the estimated area information. The information of the estimated activity of residents is stored in a server with timestamps, and the server automatically generates daily reports based on them. To show the effectiveness of the proposed system, we conducted an experiment for five days with four participants in cooperation with an actual nursing home. We determined the proposed system’s effectiveness with the following four evaluations: (1) comparison of performance of different machine-learning algorithms, (2) comparison of smoothing methods, (3) comparison of time windows, and (4) evaluation of generated daily reports. Our evaluations show the most effective combination pattern among 156 patterns to accurately generate daily reports. Timely fall detection and rescue can win valuable time for treatment and rescue, which is very important to protect users' health and improve medical monitoring. In order to provide better medical care to the elderly population and reduce the harm caused by falls, this paper will focus on the fall problem of the elderly in telecare. In order to facilitate the detection of falls of the elderly, we design an Android sensor-based data acquisition scheme, using the built-in acceleration sensor in the Android system to collect the human acceleration information, and through the JMS middleware technology, the collected data are transmitted to MATLAB for analysis and processing in real time. this paper preprocesses and synthesizes the collected human body data and visualizes the acceleration changes of various typical daily activities of the human body and breast cancer, then extracts the relevant data features according to the synthesized SVM curve, constructs a pattern recognition algorithm using the extracted features, and verifies the effectiveness of the pattern recognition algorithm through experiments. Aim: The purpose of this paper is to conceptually define "caregiver willingness" for application to a family member providing care to a critically ill loved one during an intensive care unit (ICU) hospitalization. Background: Delivering care to a family member may have psychological benefits for both the caregiver and the critically ill loved one; however, the willingness of family members to provide care is an elusive concept. Examination of the "caregiver willingness" concept will help to advance nursing science. Design: Walker and Avant's eight step strategy guided identification of the defining attributes, empirical referents, antecedents, and consequences of "caregiver willingness." Data Source: Academic Search Complete, CINAHL, MEDLINE, APA PsycInfo, and Psychology and Behavioral Health Collections were used to search for literature published between 2000 and 2020. Review Methods: A literature search was conducted using keywords, such as "caregiver," "willingness," "willing to care," "family or families or relatives or siblings or caregiver," and "critically ill or intensive care or ICU or critical care." Results: A definition of caregiver willingness was constructed and defined as "a family member or significant other's affirmation or acknowledgment of openness to engage in the physical and/or emotional supportive care of a loved one who is critically ill and cannot perform self‐care." Conclusion: The definition provides a foundation for instrument development to measure caregiver willingness and possible theory expansion for family engagement and caregiving in the ICU. ENT patients have different types of diseases and clinical symptoms, and generally, patients have a low level of understanding of their professional knowledge about their ENT diseases. In this paper, quality nursing interventions in otorhinolaryngology require nursing staff to implement relevant nursing interventions in the process of implementing relevant nursing care, which should be based on patients' needs, and guide patients to perform rehabilitation exercises according to their individual conditions, in addition to establishing continuous nursing interventions with patients at the time of discharge with the help of modern technology. By comparing the nursing satisfaction of patients in the observation group and the control group, it was found that the nursing satisfaction of patients in the observation group who received humanistic nursing was higher, and the difference was statistically significant compared with that of the control group (P < 0.05). The SCL-90 scale scores of patients in both groups were not significantly different on the day of admission as verified by t values, and the SCL-90 scale scores of patients in both groups changed to a certain extent after hospitalization. In this paper, we deeply analyse and study the interactive telemedicine service system for elderly care in smart homes and design a data summarization method for large concurrent scenarios. The method first parses and reconstructs the data received by the system initially and then stores the reconstructed valid data into the local database, which realizes the fast data summarization under the heavy concurrency scenario. Secondly, a multiformat data adaptation method is designed for the problem that the data to be provided and processed are in various formats. The method uses a unified data format and adaptation process constraints to achieve centralized management of heterogeneous data from multiple sources, which provide a unified data support service for the system and upper-layer applications. Again, to deal with the application problem of highly correlated data, the data-sharing system provides data for each functional component of the telemedicine platform according to business requirements based on standardized data structure and unified storage management. This enables the barrier-free flow of multisource highly correlated data. When the consultation is in progress, the doctor can communicate with the patient with video and audio devices and, at the same time, can access the patient's historical medical records and the medical records uploaded by the patient; after the consultation is completed, the consultation doctor needs to fill in the consultation record. The consultation assistance module can statistically analyse the workload of doctors and other information according to the background data, and the telemedicine system will play an increasingly important role in the medical and health care business. This paper explores and analyses the interactive home geriatric two-way video health care system, investigates and analyses the daily lives and behaviours of the elderly in their homes through research interviews, obtains the main needs of the elderly population in their lives, as well as their cognitive and behavioural characteristics, and proposes four service function modules for the elderly in their homes; then, combining service design and interaction design theory, we propose the following four service modules for the elderly in their homes. Given the design methods and processes of the intelligent service system for the elderly at home as well as the interface interaction design principles on the three levels of vision, interaction, and reflection, the intelligent service system platform for the elderly at home was constructed, the interaction design of the mobile device terminal software of the service system platform practiced in the form of APP, and the eye-movement experiment method and fuzzy hierarchical analysis were applied to the design of the intelligent service system for the elderly at home from qualitative and quantitative perspectives. The thesis study provides a new way of thinking to design and provide intelligent service system products for the elderly living at home, which is an important contribution to society's care for the elderly and their quality of life. The key features of the human skeleton are extracted from the model of abnormal leaning and falling behaviour of the elderly, and the SVM machine learning method is used to classify and identify the data, which enables the identification of the abnormal behaviour of the elderly at home with an accuracy of 97%. Objective. In order to provide evidence for improving the quality of managers in elderly care institutions, this paper explored the situation of managers of elderly care institutions in a city in Central China under the national guidelines for the combination of medical and elderly health care. Design. A cross-sectional study carried out in a city in Central China was designed. Setting. The online questionnaire was distributed to the managers of six elderly care institutions in a city in Central China. Participants. The questionnaire was sent to 61 recipients; from this, 60 responses were obtained. Results. There was a 98% response rate. The study found that most managers in elderly care institutions were middle-aged, with low education level and years of management. The job mobility was high, and 27% of the managers had no relevant certificates. Management years had a significant influence on the rate of certificate holding (P < 0.05). Some managers were less than 30 years old and had college degree or above, which indicated that people with young and high levels of education were more likely to become managers. However, there was no significant difference in educational level among managers of different ages (P > 0.05). 56.6% of the managers have received provincial or municipal training, and few managers have received the national level training. The education level is positively related to the access to training opportunities. More than half of the managers earn less than ¥3000 a month. The study showed that the education level was positively related to the career growth space (P < 0.05). Conclusions. Specialized training and high salary should be provided for managers to improve their elderly care skills and hence the quality of elderly care service. In addition, in order to improve the education level of managers, a long-term continuing education system should be established gradually. Through expanding the enrollment scale of the nursing school, carrying out training about elderly care skills, and issuing vocational skills certificates to those who pass the examination, the number of local nurses for the elderly will be increasing, and the quality of the elderly care service will be improving. Aim: The aim of this paper is to explore the process of staff leading change in consumer engagement practice in aged care. Background: Shifting expectations make engagement practice increasingly complex for service providers. This requires adaptive change within organisations. Organisations need to empower and support staff to critically assess practice, identify issues and pursue opportunities for innovation. Method: Data were collected as part of an action research project addressing client engagement practice in Australian aged care. Staff worked together to identify issues for practice, generate solutions and create change within their organisations. Results: Staff identified innovative ways of generating change, demonstrating leadership. However, a range of technical, practical, systemic and philosophical factors impacted their progress. Conclusions: Staff are effective, proactive change agents who can provide valuable insights into directions for their organisations and can lead practice improvement in engagement. However, they require support through the organisational environment. Implications for Nursing Management: Staff in all roles can demonstrate adaptive leadership in changing engagement practice. However, those in traditional roles of authority need to recognize their own roles in showing leadership and supporting adaptive change. This study explores care practices of older people outside formal care and without appealing to predefined relationships. We conducted interviews with 30 independent‐living men and women aged 67–93 in three municipalities in Sweden. The interviews explored how they cared for themselves and other older people who were not family. Interviews were conducted between December 2017 and May 2018 and later transcribed and analysed using grounded theory. Our paper presents one of the first studies on informal care practices among older people that looks beyond the definition of formal care to understand how such care complements formal care services. The findings show that older people participate in several care arrangements to care for themselves as well as for others. The arrangements feature different types of mutuality and include distant relations to other older people and larger more or less formalised groups. The findings highlight the importance of looking beyond conceptualisations of care based on understandings of formal care and specific relationships as a frame for understanding informal care. To promote older people's health by cultivating and supporting older people's care for themselves and others, research and healthcare practitioners need to explore and acknowledge the significance and complexity of older people's everyday care practices. Reablement – or restorative care – is a central feature of many western governments' approaches to supporting and enabling older people to stay in their own homes and minimise demand for social care. Existing evidence supports this approach although further research is required to strengthen the certainty of conclusions being drawn. In countries where reablement has been rolled out nationally, an additional research priority – to develop an evidence base on models of delivery – is emerging. This paper reports a prospective cohort study of individuals referred to three English social care reablement services, each representing a different model of service delivery. Outcomes included healthcare‐ and social care–related quality of life, functioning, mental health and resource use (service costs, informal carer time, out‐of‐pocket costs). In contrast with the majority of other studies, self‐report measures were the predominant source of outcomes and resource use data. Furthermore, no previous evaluation has used a global measure of mental health. Outcomes data were collected on entry to the service, discharge and 6 months post discharge. A number of challenges were encountered during the study and insufficient individuals were recruited in two research sites to allow a comparison of service models. Findings from descriptive analyses of outcomes align with previous studies and positive changes were observed across all outcome domains. Improvements observed at discharge were, for most, retained at 6 months follow‐up. Patterns of change in functional ability point to the importance of assessing functioning in terms of basic and extended activities of daily living. Findings from the economic evaluation highlight the importance of collecting data on informal carer time and also demonstrate the viability of collecting resource use data direct from service users. It is well documented that Health care assistants (HCAs) provide the most hands‐on care to residents in aged care facilities, and play a critical role in the provision of care to dementia residents. Over the last 25 years, a philosophy of person‐centred care has become the preferred approach to care and this has meant that HCAs are encouraged to get to know the resident very well. This paper reports the experiences of HCAs in caring for people at end‐of‐life, identifies the skills required for their work and examines the education provided against these skills. Semi‐structured interviews were conducted in 49 facilities (n = 34) across New Zealand and data analysed thematically, with the aim of critically examining the adequacy of education for health care assistants which meets their needs within a person‐centred environment. The results confirm that the skills include traditional tasks of care (showering, feeding, toileting, and dressing) but the increasingly important communication and de‐escalation skills, both verbal and non‐verbal, have become central to their care skills. Education provided has not sufficiently shifted focus to include these more complex skills. Provision of educations that acknowledges the increased complexities of their role needs to be provided. A plethora of government policies impacting older people in the United Kingdom (UK) have been strongly influenced by the rhetoric that service users should be actively involved in their social care; including decisions and delivery. User involvement is integral to the government's current drive to make service more "person‐centred" or "personalised" in adult social care. However, there has been little engagement with the broader Northern Ireland public on future adult social care policies. It has been suggested that knowing preferences for the type of future care and where and how it should be provided can be valuable for service users, providers and policy‐makers. Using a qualitative approach, this paper draws on data collected from three focus groups with people aged over 60 who are not in receipt of social care services. The focus groups took place between April 2016 and January 2017. The findings demonstrate that participants had limited knowledge and understanding of the current social care system in Northern Ireland. In addition, participants had not thought about their possible future care needs. The findings emphasise the importance of promoting and engaging the public in social care debates, particularly at a time when the need for reform of the health and social care system has been identified in Northern Ireland. The review discussed in this paper provides a unique synthesis of evidence and knowledge about carers. The authors adopted a scoping review methodology drawing on a wide range of material from many different sources published between 2000 and 2016. It offers key insights into what we know and how we know it; reinforces and expands evidence about carers' profile; shows knowledge is uneven, e.g. much is known about working carers, young carers and carers of people with dementia but far less is about older carers or caring for someone with multiple needs. A striking feature of much research is a focus on caring as a set of tasks, rather than a dimension of an, often dyadic, relationship. While there is substantive evidence about the negative impact of caring, the review suggests that links between caring and carer outcomes are neither linear nor inevitable and vary in depth and nature. A reliance on cross‐sectional studies using standardised measures is a major weakness of existing research: this approach fails to capture the multidimensionality of the caring role, and the lived experience of the carer. Although research relating to formal support suggests that specific interventions for particular groups of carers may be effective, overall the evidence base is weak. There is a tension between cost‐effectiveness and what is valued by carers. Developing robust evaluative models that accommodate this tension, and take account of the dyadic context of caring is a critical challenge. A fundamental deficit of carer‐related research is its location in one of two, largely separate, paradigmatic frameworks: the "Gatherers and Evaluators" and the "Conceptualisers and Theorisers." The authors suggest that developing an integrated paradigm that draws on the strengths and methods of existing paradigms, has considerable potential to generate new knowledge and new evidence and extend understanding of care and caring. Although the health benefits of physical activity and exercise for older people are well established, a largely sedentary lifestyle still prevails in ageing western societies. Finding new ways to make exercise more accessible and acceptable for older adults must be developed to fully unleash its potential in preventing and weakening age-related physical and cognitive decline. Existing barriers to implement effective exercise-based treatment plans include motivational reservations on both the clinician’s and patient’s side, but also physical limitations caused by disease or deconditioning. Particularly in the more senior population, debilitating conditions do not allow adherence to currently recommended exercise regimes. A major rethinking of age- and user-adapted exercise is overdue. The high intensities required for physical and mental adaptations must be modifiable and personalized according to the functional status of each patient. Emerging information and communication technologies (ICT) have brought forward a plethora of attractive solutions for smart and adapted exercise, but there remains a vast gap between technological advancement and clinical relevance. Where in the beginning ICT for active ageing mainly focussed on aspects of usability and user experience, the current status of IT as applied in ageing populations noticeably shifted toward new services, applications, and devices that can be offered with the aim to prevent, compensate, care, and/or enhance daily life functioning of senior citizens. In this perspective paper, we aim to summarize the current state of the art in ICT-based interventions aimed at improved motor-cognitive control and make suggestions about how these could be combined with high-intensive interval exercise regimes to make rehabilitation for the impaired older adults more effective, and more fun. This paper connects different theories and methods from the social sciences and applies them to human-humanoid robot interaction (HHRI) to explain loneliness reduction and the build-up of resilience in older adults through social robots. It allows for user-related aspects such as age, social connectedness, gender role, personality, and need satisfaction as well as robot-related aspects, particularly coaching behaviors and communication styles. From these scientific considerations, solutions to design challenges are pinpointed, proposing novel interaction schemes that enhance the feeling of support and companionship. This paper also opens the way to conducting empirical research to examine HHRI-related designs, measuring user experience in HHRI, while suggesting applications in HHRI in various settings, such as coaching and eldercare. This scoping review explores circumstances surrounding the decision about, and eventual experience of, transitioning older adults into alternative levels of housing (ALH), such as long-term care. This topic is examined from a family member perspective, given their exposure and involvement in the care of older adult relatives during this transitional period. The scoping review methodology is based on the framework of Arksey and O’Malley and subsequent recommendations from Levac, Colquhoun, and O’Brien. Approximately 470 articles were reviewed covering the period between 2000 and November 2014; 37 articles met inclusion criteria. A temporal organization of themes was used to describe the experiences of family members in the pretransition, active transition, and posttransition periods of moving older adult relatives into ALH. This paper highlights the transitional period as a time of crisis, with a lack of planning, support, and transparent discussion. This study identifies a need for future research on the potential benefits of family support groups, interim transitional housing options, different models of ALH, changing roles in the posttransition period, and the need for a comprehensive list of housing options for older adults. Increasing frailty or a medical crisis threatens older people's autonomy. Further threats may arise from adult children if such changes or events are perceived as permitting or signalling a need to assume greater control over their parent's life. In the context of reablement—a time‐limited intervention seeking to help older people regain their confidence and ability to live as independently as possible—this is observed in cases where adult children resist, or seek to sabotage, reablement. This runs counter to the notion of family being a valuable resource and partner to reablement services in achieving the desired outcomes. Notions of autonomy and legitimate authority, which often co‐occur in care relationships, provide a useful lens to understand this phenomenon. The aims of this study were to explore reablement staff's accounts of the ways adult children seek to assume control over their parents' reablement, and how they manage such situations. We undertook a secondary analysis of a qualitative dataset comprising transcripts of 11 focus groups with staff (n = 78) in five reablement services in England and Wales conducted for the purposes of a study investigating the factors affecting older people's engagement with reablement. Staff's accounts included descriptions of the different ways adult children can seek to exert control over the reablement process. Staff believed that, when aware this was happening, older people ceded control to their child(ren) because preserving the relationship with their child(ren) was a greater priority than maximising their independence. Staff's descriptions of the different strategies they used to protect family relationships whilst supporting the older person's autonomy shed light on the skills reablement staff require. Findings support person‐centred approaches to reablement which understand and respond to the wider family context. Objectives. How geriatric care models impact the health‐related behaviors of the elderly and the function of social support within this context. Methods. We conducted binary logistic regression and PSM‐DID analyses using data from the China Tracking Survey of Factors Influencing Elderly Health (CLHLS) and the China Health and Aging Tracking Survey (CHARLS). Results. Compared to living alone, other aging models negatively affected health behaviors. In the living with family model, parental intergenerational support attenuated these effects, while children's financial support reduced negative impacts on health‐protective behaviors. In the institutional model, negative effects on health‐hazardous behaviors were exacerbated by emotional and social support. Loneliness and a lack of self‐worth were crucial pathways. Discussion. Governments should offer public services to alleviate the intergenerational support burden on older individuals and strengthen social support for them. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Sensors, combined with intelligent systems, can enhance the quality of the Telecare services deployed at home, improving the capability for detection of risk situations and the users care. However, there are no specific studies that evaluate this kind of Telecare systems by professionals that work in a Telecare center. This paper shows the results of an assessment of the current satisfaction and future expectations of the Telecare professionals when using advanced Telecare solutions deployed at home. The study has been conducted through structured interviews with 24 Telecare experts working in the Telecare center of the Spanish Red Cross for attending alarm calls for elderly people. The interviews had the support of the TALISMAN Telecare system that is a next-generation Telecare service deployed in the accessible digital home of Universidad Politécnica de Madrid. All participants showed overall satisfaction with TALISMAN and their intention to use it. Results showed that perceived usefulness is an important influencing factor to the intention to use it and the Quality of the Information is a key factor in the perceived usefulness.
