The growing significance of low-carbon city (LCC) in addressing climate change has captured global scholarly attention. This study conducts a bibliometric analysis in the field of LCC measure with data from the Web of Science database between 2003 and 2022. The analysis employs methods including the Mann-Kendall test method, Hurst exponent method, academic influence metrics, social network analysis method, and content analysis method. The results reveal that LCC research has evolved into an integrated research system that is multidisciplinary, multidimensional, and multi-methodological. Energy is the most important topic in the field of LCC measure research throughout the surveyed period. Meanwhile, the low-carbon behaviors of urban residents and the application of digital technology have become relatively emerging research topics. Before 2010, LCC research was mainly conducted in the context of developed countries. However, since 2010, research conducted in the context of developing countries such as China has made substantial contributions, indicating the globalization trend of LCC research. Finally, future LCC measure research should significantly improve the study on small scales, integrate qualitative and quantitative research methods, and utilize advanced technologies such as GIS, IoT, and AI to improve data and result accuracy. Several aspects such as cross-sectoral collaborative management, comparison of low-carbon behaviors and awareness, and carbon sinks in urban natural ecosystems should be further improved. The effects of sodium selenite or selenium yeast on the meat quality of broilers were searched in the literature published in the Chinese National Knowledge Infrastructure (CNKI), Wanfang Database, China Science and Technology Journal Database (VIP), PubMed, Web of Science, and Science Direct databases from January 1, 2010 to December 31, 2022. Meta-analysis was performed with Stata software (StataCorp. 2011), and the standardized mean difference (SMD) and its 95% confidence interval (CI) were calculated using a random effects model. Twenty of the identified 846 literature sources, which included 791 broilers, were screened. The meat quality indices considered were shear force, drip loss, cooking loss, water holding capacity (WHC), pH, and color. The source of heterogeneity was studied using sensitivity and subgroup analyses, and publication bias was evaluated using funnel plots. The results showed that the supplementation of selenium in the broiler diet significantly reduced the shear force (SMD = −0.67, 95% CI [−1.12, −0.22], P < 0.05) and drip loss (SMD = −0.84, 95% CI [−1.39, −0.30], P < 0.05) and increased the pH (SMD = 0.38, 95% CI [0.01, 0.75], P < 0.05) of broiler breast muscle; however, it had no significant effects on other indices. Funnel plots revealed a slight publication bias in the shear force and pH of breast muscle but none in the drip loss of breast muscle. The sensitivity analysis showed that the results were stable and reliable. In conclusion, selenium supplementation in broiler feed can improve some indices of broiler meat quality, and its inclusion in broiler diets is recommended, in conjunction with other minerals, which is of great significance to improve the quality, preservation time and economic benefits of chicken products. Objective: The current review is a systematic, quantitative meta-analysis aimed at examining the pooled prevalence of sleep disturbances in Chinese healthcare professionals. Furthermore, we explore the possible causes of the inconsistencies in the current estimates.Methods: Systematic searches of databases were conducted for literature published on English (EMBASE, PubMed and Web of Science) and Chinese (Chinese National Knowledge Infrastructure, Wan Fang database and Chinese Science & Technology journal database) databases until 25 May 2018. Statistical analyses were performed using SPSS and R software, the prevalence of sleep disturbances was pooled using random-effects model.Results: A total of 52 studies with 31,749 participants were included. The pooled prevalence of sleep disturbances among Chinese healthcare professionals is 39.2% (95% CI: 36.0%-42.7%). Higher sleep disturbance rates are associated with being female, lower cut-off of Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSQI), later survey year, bigger sample size, the standardized assessment tool, being a nurse, and shift work. Sample size and cut-off of PSQI were significant moderators for heterogeneity.Conclusion: Sleep disturbances are common in Chinese healthcare professionals, and their prevalence is much higher than the general population. • Mapping knowledge domain of bibliometric is proposed to systematically analyze emergency evacuation studies. • Three main research knowledge groups of emergency evacuation studies are captured. • There is a basic theoretical framework in emergency evacuation studies. • The research themes of emergency evacuation studies are roughly grouped into three core paths. • The current frontiers of emergency evacuation studies are visually explored. To understand the current development and status of research on emergency evacuation, the published literature in the Web of Science core database from 2008 to 2018 were taken as the research objects, and the knowledge structure and research trends in the field of emergency evacuation were visualized and analyzed by using the scientific mapping knowledge domain. It is found that research on emergency evacuations throughout the world has a basic theoretical framework, but the various research branches have not yet formed a perfect knowledge network. The results show that China's publishing volume ranks first among countries/regions, and Tsinghua University has the largest number of publications among related institutions; traffic evacuation modeling, group behavior and crowd evacuation are the main knowledge groups for emergency evacuation research; the research fields mainly include disaster emergency management, personnel evacuation simulation and emergency traffic evacuation; and the research topic of emergency evacuation mainly evolves into three core paths, namely, "disaster - management - preparation - response – information", "evacuation - behavior - model - cellular automaton - time – design" and "evacuation - behavior - simulation - social force model - exit choice". We aimed to examine the rate and characteristics of retracted articles in infectious diseases and clinical microbiology. Using the Retraction Watch Database, we conducted a cross-sectional study for retracted publications categorized as 'Infectious Disease' or 'Microbiology' until June 30 2022. We included publications for which citation information was available through the Web of Science database. Study characteristics, retraction trends and number of citations before and after the retraction year were analysed. Overall, 1004 retracted publications were included, retracted between August 1968 and June 2022. The number of retractions climbed through the years, peaking in 2020–2021. A total of 614 retractions originated from USA, China, and India, of total 183 736 PubMed publications from these countries. Overall, 378 (38%) were retracted because of errors; 182 (18%) because of plagiarism; and 142 (14%) because of falsification/fabrication. Specific reasons included 'concerns/issues about data' (158, 16%); 'duplication of image' (127, 13%); and 'unreliable results' (116, 12%). Of the 347 retractions during 2020 to June 2022, 91 (26%) were COVID-19 related. Fifty of 895 (5.6%) first authors had two retracted papers, and 14 (1.6%) had ≥2 retractions. Of 824 publications cited at least once, 466 (57%) were cited more often after retraction. Retractions of infectious diseases and clinical microbiology publications are increasing. Concerning reasons such as plagiarism, falsification/fabrication and errors are not uncommon. Nonetheless, these publications continue to be commonly cited after being retracted. Chromophoric dissolved organic matter (CDOM) occupies a critical part in biogeochemistry and energy flux of aquatic ecosystems. CDOM research spans in many fields, including chemistry, marine environment, biomass cycling, physics, hydrology, and climate change. In recent years, a series of remarkable research milestone have been achieved. On the basis of reviewing the research process of CDOM, combined with a bibliometric analysis, this study aims to provide a comprehensive review of the development and applications of remote sensing in monitoring CDOM from 2003 to 2022. The findings show that remote sensing data plays an important role in CDOM research as proven with the increasing number of publications since 2003, particularly in China and the United States. Primary research areas have gradually changed from studying absorption and fluorescence properties to optimization of remote sensing inversion models in recent years. Since the composition of oceanic and freshwater bodies differs significantly, it is important to choose the appropriate inversion method for different types of water body. At present, the monitoring of CDOM mainly relies on a single sensor, but the fusion of images from different sensors can be considered a major research direction due to the complex characteristics of CDOM. Therefore, in the future, the characteristics of CDOM will be studied in depth inn combination with multi-source data and other application models, where inversion algorithms will be optimized, inversion algorithms with low dependence on measured data will be developed, and a transportable inversion model will be built to break the regional limitations of the model and to promote the development of CDOM research in a deeper and more comprehensive direction. Abstract The main aim of this study was to analyse scientific and energy production, funding, collaboration among countries and most cited papers on the renewable energies topic through bibliometric and social network study of articles included in the Web of Science database. 12,167 papers were recovered from 2007 to 2016. Wind power is the energy from which a greater number of articles have been published (n = 3,930), followed by solar energy (n = 2,570) and ocean energy (n = 1,565). The United States leads the world production of articles (n = 2,320), followed by China (n = 1,629), the United Kingdom (n = 1007), Germany (n = 730) and Spain (n = 729). China is the leading country in financed works (80%), followed by South Korea (77%), Spain (61%) and the United States (59%). An important level of international collaboration has been identified, notably popping up the triangle made by United States, China and the European Union. Emodin is a natural bioactive ingredient mainly extracted from traditional Chinese herbs. Increasing lines of evidence suggest that emodin and its analogs exert notable synergistic pharmacological effects with other bioactive compounds. This review provides an overview of the pharmacological activity of emodin and its analogs in combination with other physiologically active substances, describes the related molecular mechanisms, and discusses future prospects in this field. Information from multiple scientific databases, such as PubMed, the China Knowledge Resource Integrated Database from the China National Knowledge Infrastructure (CNKI), the Web of Science, Google Scholar, and Baidu Scholar, was collected between January 2006 and August 2022. The subject terms used in the literature search were emodin, pharmaceutical activities, analogs, aloe emodin, rhein, and synergistic effects. The comprehensive literature analysis suggested that combinations of emodin or its analogs with other bioactive compounds exert notable synergistic anticancer, anti-inflammatory, and antimicrobial effects and that such combinations improve glucose and lipid metabolism and central nervous system diseases. Further assessments of the dose-effect relationship and the differences in the efficacy of emodin or its analogs with other bioactive compounds among various modes of administration are needed, and a drug safety evaluation of these combinations needs to be carefully performed. Future studies should also focus on determining the optimal drug combinations for specific diseases. It can provide reference and help for the research of sphalerite flotation in the future. Flotation is the most important method for recovering sphalerite, and it has attracted significant research attention worldwide. In this study to clarify the hotspots for phased research frontiers and research progress of sphalerite flotation technology in the last 20 years, 720 pieces of relevant academic literature were selected by using "flotation" and "sphalerite, marmatite, and zinc sulfide" as keywords from the web of science database. The authors, institutions, and literature keywords were clustered by the visualization software VOSviewer and CiteSpace. The results show that, the number of papers published on sphalerite flotation has increased significantly since 2008, and China has made important contributions, various fund and zinc resource reserves have an important impact on sphalerite research. Universities are the main body of sphalerite research, and most of the foreign countries have independent research groups with little exchange and cooperation, whereas Chinese universities have more cooperation and many representative research teams. Diosgenin was the starting materials to synthesize various hormone drugs and mainly generated from Dioscorea zingiberensis C. H. Wright by acidolysis, enzymolysis, microbiological fermentation, and integrated manner. Only acidic hydrolysis with strong acid such as hydrochloric acid or sulfuric acid was used in practice in diosgenin enterprises due to their feasibility and simplicity, nevertheless finally resulting in a great deal of unmanageable wastewater and severely polluted the surrounding environment. Aiming to provide a comprehensive and up-to date information of researches on diosgenin production from this plant, 151 cases were collected from scientific databases including Web of Science, Pubmed, Science Direct, Wiley, Springer, and China Knowledge Resource Integrated (CNKI). Their advantages and disadvantages with different production methods were analyzed based on these available data in this review paper. A novel coronavirus outbreak in China (SARS-CoV-2) which began in December 2019, was proven major threat to global health. However, several results from clinical practices indicate that herbal medicine plays an important role in the prevention of COVID-19, which brings new hope for its treatment. The objective of this study is to check the effectivity of senna (Senna alexandrina Mill.) as an immunity-boosting herb against Covid-19 and several other diseases. The literature search was carried out using scientific databases comprising of Scopus, Science Direct, PubMed, Cochrane Library, Science Hub and Google Scholar, up to May 2020, using the following keywords: "senna", "senna makki", " Senna alexandrina" , "senna nutrition value", "senna medicinal effect", "vitamins in senna", "mineral in senna", "bioactive compounds in senna", "laxiary components in senna", "senna against diseases", "senna enhance immunity", "covid_19″, "covid_19 symptoms". The authors also obtained data from primary and secondary sources as well. The results of different studies showed that senna was composed of a wide range of immunity-enhancing bioactive components like antioxidants, vitamins, minerals and laxatives. These bioactive components are effective against COVID-19 and other diseases. Senna has medicinal and nutritional effects on the human body and has a key role in boosting immunity to prevent COVID-19 symptoms. Phosphogypsum is a by-product of the phosphate fertilizer industry. It is generally treated by stacking, which not only causes environmental pollution, but also wastes resources. Therefore, the harmless, comprehensive, and high-value utilization of phosphogypsum has attracted more and more scholars around the world. From the perspective of bibliometrics, this paper systematically and comprehensively describes the research progress, trends and hot spots of phosphogypsum resource utilization. This article is based on a scientific network database, and a total of 1067 articles from 1985 to 2020 were collected. Then, use VOSViewer software to perform co-occurrence, co-citation analysis and cluster analysis. The visual analysis results demonstrate that the research on the resource utilization of phosphogypsum shows the characteristics of rapid growth. The active countries are mainly China, Brazil, Spain and the United States. Four of the top 10 active organizations are from China. It systematically expounds the changes in research hotspots in this field at different stages and possible future research hotspots. Including the gradual attention to the preparation of phosphogypsum building materials, phosphogypsum adsorption materials, and radioactive elements in phosphogypsum; the extraction of rare earth elements from phosphogypsum; the use of phosphogypsum to prepare fertilizer or soil improvement. Research shows that phosphogypsum can be reasonably designed, transformed, and used in different fields.However, the radioactivity contained in phosphogypsum should be paid attention to because it has an impact on humans and the environment. The question of this research is whether international student mobility (ISM) contributes to science in China. To address this research question, we determined the annual number of international students studying in Chinese universities from 1999 to 2018, from the Concise Statistics of International Students in China compiled by the International Exchange Department of the Ministry of Education of the People's Republic of China, and corresponding publication records including the source country names in the titles, from the Web of Science database of Clarivate Analytics. We then used the fixed-effects negative binomial model and instrumental variable approach to explore the linkage from ISM to knowledge production and found that ISM led to the destination countries' scientific research on foreign countries. The findings shed light on the discussion of the global mobility of talent, and contribute to the understanding of ISM's influence on science, the measurement of which is promising in future studies. Sandalwood (Santalum album) is woven into the culture and traditions of India for last 3000 years. However, India's dominance on the international sandalwood trade is waning. Other countries, specifically Australia are emerging as a big-mammoth player in sandalwood trade. Still, there is a high demand-supply gap for Indian Sandalwood. This offers opportunities for the countries to dominate the trade by upscaling sandalwood cultivation among farmers and various stakeholders. Considering the extent of research activity as a proxy to a country's attitude and approach towards the Santalum album , we used the theoretical framework of bibliometric studies to understand the current status of Indian sandalwood research globally. After 92 years of research (1928−2020), 374 scientific publications were listed in the Web of Science database for a single keyword search " Santalum album ". Analysis of this metadata using the bibliometrix R-package revealed an annual growth of 5.25 per cent in scientific publications over the years. Lokta's law was found to be valid for Indian sandalwood research, indicating a possibility for increased research in the upcoming years which perfectly correlate with the increase in sandalwood prices. The analysis revealed a decadal shift in prominent researching countries. India dominated in terms of the number of scientific publications for the last two decades, followed by Australia during the decade I (2000−2010). However, China surpassed Australia in the current decade (2011−2020) in terms of research output. Further, more productive researchers were from China and Australia. The increased interest of Chinese researchers can have an impact on sandalwood market in the near possible future. SciMAT science mapping tool was used to map prominent researched areas over the 92 years and to uncover the future researchable areas. The results will contribute critically to ascertaining relevant research aspects while accounting the significant gaps like field planting geometry, tree: host ratio, irrigation and nutrition management regime and yield estimation. Sustainability has become a key factor in recent years. Countless methods have been developed to assess sustainability, such as the case of the Life Cycle Sustainability Analysis (LCSA). Thus, this article aims to identify and map the application of LCSA in the main scientific databases, through a process of bibliometric and systematic literature review. Therefore, a bibliographic portfolio that represents the publications of the LCSA was selected based on selection criteria, after which the bibliometric and systematic analyses were performed. The bibliometric analysis identified the temporal distribution of publications, journals, authors, and countries that contribute to the context, as well as a studies' keyword analysis. The systematic analysis was carried out by verifying the types of studies present in the bibliographic portfolio, the economic sectors and countries of applied studies localization, the indicators and methodologies used to evaluate each sustainability dimension, and the main methodologies for results final analyses were also verified. The selected bibliographic portfolio consisted of 105 publications, corresponding to the period 2008–2019. The results show that developed countries have a greater number of publications. However, China stands out with the highest number of publications. Most of the studies in the portfolio are developments of methodologies and applications in case studies. The applied studies covered several economic and global localization sectors. Moreover, it was found that there is a great variability of environmental, economic, and social indicators employed, as well as methodologies for analyzing the final results. For example, the main indicators were: eutrophication and acidification; electricity and operating and maintenance costs, and employment; and multi-criteria decision analysis (MDCA) was the most widely used methodology. This research makes several new contributions, providing academics and professionals with an overview of the application of LCSA, through scientific indexes and the main approaches of publications, as well as the perspectives of new research. This article has reviewed the international research from the 20th century to the first half of 2019 on the terms "efficiency" and "local government". For this purpose, a bibliometric and a cluster analysis by fractional accounting have been carried out using two of the most important databases: Web of Science (WoS) and Scopus. The research found and studied 1222 documents from the WoS Core Collection and 2264 from Scopus. The results show a continuous increase in the number of published articles and citations during the whole period. It also found that the U.S., U.K, and China are the most productive countries with a predominance of North American and Asian organizations supporting and fostering researches. The principal contribution of this article is the analysis of keywords from 2011 to the first half of 2019. The trend shows a convergence on the concepts of efficiency and local government over the last few years, which are related to sustainability and natural environment. The lack of interagency government data sharing (IDS) has emerged as a central problem for the development of China's Internet Plus Government Services (IPGS). To identify, explain, and understand barriers to IDS in China, a total of 1495 articles were retrieved from the China Academic Journal Network Publishing Database (CAJD) and China Science Periodical Database (CSPD). After screening, 55 articles were analyzed using a thematic analysis approach. The analysis pointed at 19 barriers to IDS in four themes: External environmental barriers, interagency partnership barriers, organizational readiness barriers, and individual motivation barriers. The conceptualization of the research findings revealed five trans-barrier conceptual dimensions (political and structural, territorial, leadership, financial, and IT), from which further, more in-depth investigations should be performed. Also, the conceptualization indicated that territoriality is possibly the main barrier to China's IDS development. Territoriality offers a novel prospective for studying IDS. This research presents a robust theoretical basis for future study. To systematically sort out and analyse the development history of carbon footprint research, a keyword co-appearance and literature co-citation knowledge mapping has been drawn, the carbon footprint research hotspots, knowledge bases, research frontiers, and research features have been analysed, from Web of Science core database since 2008 as a data source. From the review, by establishing a carbon footprint research framework from the perspectives of both government and market, the problems of regional environmental governance efficiency, fairness mechanisms, and carbon emission rights are analysed under the government-led and market-led approaches and reviewed the development of carbon footprint research methods. In addition, the boundary and the applicability of the carbon footprint accounting methods has been discussed. The results show: (1) China is increasingly becoming an ideal for carbon footprint research due to its varied and complicated problem of climate and environment. (2) Future research hotspots will focus more on carbon sinks, land use changes, energy consumption, industrial ecology, buildings, livestock, and international trade. (3) Half-life, burst, and centrality indicate that the knowledge bases of carbon footprint are the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change Special Report on Emissions Scenarios , ISO14040 (2006) and Livestock's long shadow. (4) The latest international fronts of carbon footprint research focus on the carbon footprint generated in international trade, innovations of methods and discrimination and definition of the theory concept, for example, the expression of carbon footprint means the use of either ecological land area units or physical weight units. (4) The research features are mainly concerned with the carbon footprint application of the multi-region input-output model in international trade, multi-scale assessment of human impact on the environment and sustainable development, and resource-environment effects associated with food loss and waste. • We applied PSM & DID to determine the causal relationship between mobility and scientists' research performance. • We investigated academic performance of 1,388 scientists that moved to China and 1,101 with a propensity to move to China. • Scientists became more productive and published more as corresponding authors in China but less on top journals. A large number of overseas elites were brought back to China by the policy in the past decade. However, name disambiguation defied investigations on the relationship between their mobility and research performance. By taking advantage of the ORCID website and applying causal inference strategies, we investigated 2489 China-connected scientists' academic performance in the Web of Science database in terms of their job mobility, including 1388 scientists who moved to China the treatment group, and 1101 scientists with a possibility to move to China the control group. The results show that first, scientists moving to China have a new growth pattern where both their productivity and the rates of being corresponding authors in publications grew more rapidly than before; however, they made fewer contributions to the four top journals, Nature , Science , Cell , and PNAS. Second, the research performance of the scientists is affected by the time of mobility towards China, the countries from which they moved, and the disciplines of their publications. Last, China now maintains symmetrical inflow-outflow patterns with most countries, especially developed countries in Europe and North America, with only a few exceptions (e.g., Pakistan).
