Leu alguns livros de poesias: Manoel Bandeira, J.G. de Araújo Jorge, Ferreira Goular etc. Depois se debruçou na leitura da Enciclopédia Britânica Barsa e da francesa Delta-Larousse e outras, logrando pesquisar sobre o desiderato dos próceres da história da humanidade como filósofos, cientistas, pintores, historiadores, poetas, romancistas. Então, em que pese o antigo ideal de romancista, eis que somente agora surge o seu primeiro livro, independente e de poesias: Veredas – Caminhos Poéticos, trazendo em seu bojo uma visão cosmológica do homem, de Deus e do universo. E o que surpreende nele, livro, é que o homem não é um ser pronto e acabado, já que nele, homem, existe'algo'a mais que o aproxima do divino, como, a priori, denotado nos poemas'Deus e Deuses','Generalidades','Questionamentos & Questionamentos','Aura','Prá Lá de Zênite'. Logo, a partir das obras e, consequentemente, das coleções e dos acervos dos quais fazem parte, é possível elucidar e analisar questões sobre a produção poética, as trajetórias dos artistas e das instituições, bem como sobre as escolhas e os processos que apontam caminhos para a sua salvaguarda. This open access edited book attempts to break new ground in investigating multiple facets of Vietnamese language, education and change in global contexts, engaging with global Vietnam through complex lenses of language and education. Issues of language, globalization, and global identities have often been framed through the lens of hierarchical/binary power relations, and/or through a dichotomy between hyper-central languages, such as English, and revisualized or marginalized local language and cultures. In this book, this dichotomy is turned on its head by considering how Vietnam and Vietnamese are constructed in and outside Vietnam and enacted in global spaces of classrooms, textbooks, student mobility, community engagement, curriculum, and intercultural contacts. Vietnamese is among the world's most spoken languages and is ranked in the top 20th in terms the number of speakers. Yet, at the same time, as a ‘peripheral'or ‘southern'global language as often seen in the Global North-Global South spectrum, the dynamics of multilingual and multicultural encounters involving Vietnamese generate distinctive dilemmas and tensions, as well as pointing to alternative ways of thinking about global phenomena from a fresh angle. Rather than being outside of the global, Vietnamese - like many other ‘non-central'global languages - is present in diasporas, commercial, and transnational structures of higher education, schooling, and in the more conventional settings of primary and secondary school, in which visions of culture and language also evoke notions of heritage and tradition as well as bring to the fore deep seated ideological conflicts across time, space, communities, and generations. An examination of sculpture and authorship in eighteenth-century Quito that documents Caspicara as a participant in the innovative artistic production of the city's workshops and its widespread commerce of polychrome sculptures. Who is Caspicara? Nothing is known of Caspicara's life, and not a single sculpture has been documented as his work. Yet traditional histories laud him as a prolific Indigenous sculptor in eighteenth-century Quito who created exquisite polychrome figures and became a national artistic icon. Drawing on extensive archival, historical, and object research, Susan Verdi Webster peels away layers of historiographical fabrication to reveal what we do and do not know about Caspicara and his work. Rather than being a solitary master, Caspicara collaborated with other, largely Indigenous artists in Quito's protoindustrial workshops, manufacturing sculptures now credited to him alone. The high quality of Quito sculptures produced by anonymous artists turned the city into a hub of wide-ranging commerce in religious icons. The art world and post-independence Ecuadorians have lionized the one named sculptor, Caspicara, according to the Western model of the artist-genius, amplifying the market for works bearing his name and creating a national hero on par with European masters. Lost in this process were the artists themselves. Webster returns to their world, detailing their methods and labor and, for the first time, documenting a sculpture made by Caspicara.

Mobile, wearable, and self-driving telephones are just a few examples of modern distributed networks that generate enormous amount of information every day. Due to the growing computing capacity of these devices as well as concerns over the transfer of private information, it has become important to process the part of the data locally by moving the learning methods and computing to the border of devices. Federated learning has developed as a model of education in these situations. Federated learning (FL) is an expert form of decentralized machine learning (ML). It is essential in areas like privacy, large-scale machine education and distribution. It is also based on the current stage of ICT and new hardware technology and is the next generation of artificial intelligence (AI). In FL, central ML model is built with all the data available in a centralised environment in the traditional machine learning. It works without problems when the predictions can be served by a central server. Users require fast responses in mobile computing, but the model processing happens at the sight of the server, thus taking too long. The model can be placed in the end-user device, but continuous learning is a challenge to overcome, as models are programmed in a complete dataset and the end-user device lacks access to the entire data package. Another challenge with traditional machine learning is that user data is aggregated at a central location where it violates local privacy policies laws and make the data more vulnerable to data violation. This book provides a comprehensive approach in federated learning for various aspects.
