New data suggests that new treatment options may be on the horizon for patients with liver cancer. Liver cancer, particularly hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC), has low survival rates with current available treatments. However, recent clinical trials have shown potential improvements in progression-free survival (PFS) and overall survival (OS) with the combination of the VEGFR2-targeted inhibitor rivoceranib and the PD-1 inhibitor camrelizumab for patients with unresectable HCC. Additionally, there are promising results in the treatment of HER2-positive biliary tract cancers with novel targeted anti-HER2 drugs such as zanidatamab and tucatinib. These findings offer hope for expanding treatment options and improving outcomes for patients with liver cancer. [Extracted from the article]
