Abstract

In this article, we demonstrate a sensitive surface-enhanced Raman spectroscopy (SERS) substrate for trace dimethoate detection. The substrate is composed of a silver nanopartide-probe-smooth gold film stack configuration. The nanogap formed by a silver nanopartide and a macroscopically flat gold film is one kind of "hot site" that will dramatically increase the total "hot spots" number. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Abstract

The article reports on the identification of unknown entropy in the Liquid Chromatography-Mass Spectrometry (LC-MS) data. A new method called Direct Analysis in Real Time (DART) allows direct analysis of solid, liquid, and gas samples as well as provide ultimate composition for components buried in the information. The experiment showed that DART is ideal for screening because of speedy analysis, minimal suppression, unseen solvent adducts and simple and accurate mass measurements.
