The article discusses a study on the use of laser scleral microporation (LSM) to reverse sclera aging and restore ciliary muscles and lens movement as of 2023. Results show that most patients achieved near-vision improvements within the first week, with continued monthly improvements and sustenance over 24 months, and the absence complications other than occasional subconjunctival hematoma which resolved within 2 weeks. Also noted is the relative ease in performing the LSM procedure.
