The article discusses the stripping method for treating wastewater with nitrogen and sulfide. An overview of the process of treating wastewater where its quality and hardness are analyzed is offered as well as the theoretical formula for the ratio of ammonia and sulfur wastewater. It also illustrates the relationship of potential hydrogen or pH, ammonia-nitrogen concentration, and sulfide concentration to the stripping time as well as the change in the water quality.

The article presents a pretreatment study on a delayed-coking wastewater process to solve a problem in the sewage workshop of Jinzhou Petrochemical Co. Ltd. in China. It discusses the problem in facility and attempt to solve the delayed-coking wastewater in the plant which found out that the wastewater separated to three ways during a settling experiment and believed to be the cause of insufficiency of its flotation and purification. In this study, the wastewater temperature was raised in the centrifuge to reduce the reaction time, the reactor volume and the area. It was found that the wastewater was separated to three layers during the free settling experiment.

The article focuses on the production and consumption of methyl tert-butyl ether (MTBE) in China which had maintained a relatively rapid growth. It mentions that the growth is pushed by the constant upgrading of quality standards for vehicle-purposed gasoline. It also notes that MTBE is well compatible with gasoline and it is an ideal blending ingredient for the production of leadless and oxygen-containing gasoline.
