The article discusses the strategies related to the elimination of waste in terms of time, money, and effort in the process of research and development(R & D) of a new product. It states that waste is created during the process of R & D when a late discovery invalidates work done during the initial stages. It also mentions that effective research needs a clear and consistent approach along with a need of flexibility among the researchers to adapt to discoveries.
