The article presents a report on the progress of the global control and regional elimination of measles from 2000 to 2012. It is inferred that the increase in measles-containing vaccine (MCV) resulted in the reduction of the annual incidence for measles. The significance of strengthening the public health system in the elimination of measles is highlighted.
