The article discusses the need for hotels and other high-rise buildings to deal properly with the outside air component of their ventilation design to avoid indoor humidity issues. The pivotal step of reclaiming waste heat in a way that suits the circumstances toward correcting or avoiding such problems is tackled. Several ways to minimize the reheat energy associated with dehumidification are explored which include the use of waste heat for reheat and liquid desiccant.
