Abstract

The article presents case studies of fertilizer production of Fertinagro, the utilities plant of refining company Petrogal and steam cracker and utility plant of Dow Chemical Iberica using the TOP-REF methodology. It mentions that applying the optimization resulted to key resource indicator improvements for all three case studies, with the single-objective optimization of Fertinagro achieved the largest improvements in the resource exergy indicator. more...
