The article reports that the South African gold mining company Gold Field Ltd. has announced its plans for a combined total of more than 600 million dollars in capital commitments in Peru and Venezuela. In Peru, the company is moving with the development of its 277 million dollar Cerro Corona gold-copper project where there is an expected production of about 2.3 million ounces of gold and 412,00 metric tons of copper over 15-year mine duration. Meanwhile in Venezuela, the company has agreed to the acquisition of the company Bolivar Gold Corp. and its Choco 10 open-pit gold mine for a 300 million dollar cash consideration.
