Abstract

In this article the author discusses the white paper released by the International Data Corp. (IDC) Manufacturing Insights that needs the awareness of the manufacturers in the U.S. He notes that the paper states manufacturers need to rethink the collective instinct to off-shore manufacturing and assembly operations. The author also mentions that the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) should reevaluate their decisions due to the problems he advocates.
