The article offers the author's insights on the aspects of progress in knowledge. The author explains how one would want knowledge to do, such as wanting it to be enough for good decision making. He says that people's ability to assess physical processes has developed, as seen in one's decision on research and development investments. He adds that people have discovered the ability of iteration at scale, in which small acts can achieve knowledge tasks that old methods would have not dared.
