Abstract

The article offers information regarding role of octane boosters on the corrosively of petroleum products for gasoline and diesel engines has attracted more attention in the auto fuel market due to the depletion of fossil fuels in the feedstock. It mentions that microbiologically influenced corrosion (MIC) is based on assumption that microorganisms affect corrosion rate by changing the electrochemical environment through metabolic processes and creating a physical biofilm.
