Background: Heart Failure is a life-limiting condition with a poor and uniquely unpredictable prognosis. The aim of this review is to present and synthesise the current evidence around bereaved caregivers' experiences of end of life care for people with Heart Failure. Methods: A systematic review of the literature was conducted using four electronic databases (CINHAL, Medline, BND, PsycINFO). Data was analysed and presented using a narrative synthesis approach. Results: Eight articles were included within this review. Themes included: Limited and inadequate communication around the condition (including prognosis, preparations for death and the aim of palliative care), the burden of caregiving, and the limited provision of services and formal support. Conclusion: Bereaved caregivers experience unique and significant challenges when caring for someone dying from Heart Failure. This study aimed to provide integrated knowledge on the influence of shared reading or writing activities, that is, recreational occupations involving dynamic relationships based on personal development, on adults aged 55 and older. Using a scoping study framework, six databases were searched with 25 relevant keywords for papers, theses, and scientific reports published in 2001–2023. Based on the Human Development Model–Disability Creation Process, the content analysis of 20 documents showed that shared reading or writing activities mostly benefited aging adults' behavioral capabilities like positive affect, their intellectual capacities, such as developing new perspectives on life, their interpersonal relationships, and social support. Negative instances, such as frustration, were often mentioned at the beginning of the activities but decreased over time. These results suggest the importance of shared reading or writing activities for healthy aging and the necessity to better support these activities for more inclusive and caring aging societies. Chronic neuropathic pain (NP) is a debilitating condition characterized by persistent pain caused by nerve damage. This condition significantly impacts the quality of life, leading to functional limitations, emotional distress, and economic burden. Various underlying conditions, including diabetes, carpal tunnel syndrome, and chronic widespread pain contribute to the NP development. While traditional pharmacological interventions often provide limited relief and have associated side effects, recent research has explored the potential therapeutic benefits of vitamin D. A systematic review was conducted adhering to the PRISMA guidelines to evaluate the efficacy of vitamin D supplementation in managing NP. Seven studies (2016-2024) were included in the analysis, encompassing a total of 561 participants with diverse NP etiologies. The studies investigated the impact of various vitamin D dosages (2000-600,000 IU), administered orally or intramuscularly, for 8 to 20 weeks. Despite the heterogeneity in vitamin D dosage and treatment regimens across the included studies, a consistent trend emerged: a significant reduction in pain scores was observed in all studies following vitamin D supplementation. Moreover, some patients reported improvements in functional mobility and overall quality of life. However, it was difficult to draw a conclusion on the optimal dose of vitamin D for neuropathic pain due to variability on the dose and the route of administration. The findings of this systematic review provide compelling evidence for the potential therapeutic role of vitamin D in the NP management. While further research is warranted to elucidate the optimal dosage, treatment duration, and underlying mechanisms of action, vitamin D supplementation holds promise as a valuable adjunct therapy for individuals suffering from chronic neuropathic pain. Future studies should explore the synergistic effects of vitamin D with other therapeutic interventions and investigate its potential to mitigate the debilitating impact of NP. Purpose: Financial anxiety has become a global concern and a growing research area with significant potential to contribute to the behavioral and personal finance literature. Despite this, the literature is fragmented and inconsistent. Prior studies vary greatly in the breadth of definitions and measures of financial anxiety. There has been no systematic evaluation of literature on financial anxiety antecedents, consequences, and coping strategies. This systematic review fills this gap. Design/methodology/approach: We followed the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) guidelines. We searched Scopus and Web of Science and identified 55 eligible studies published between 2009 and 2024. Findings: Financial anxiety is defined and measured differently in different research domains. We identified several antecedents, including socio-demographic factors (e.g. gender, age, ethnicity, income, employment, racial background, and language proficiency), personality traits, compulsive and impulsive buying behavior, depression or other mental issues, family health issues, and the COVID-19 pandemic and consequences of financial anxiety, including psychological and psychic health, societal and personal relations, financial behavior and well-being, and job-related outcomes. In addition, the literature presents six financial anxiety coping strategies (self-imposed coping mechanisms, spiritual and theological resources, increased financial capability, social and family support, seeking professional help, and language proficiency training). Several future research directions are presented. Originality/value: This review represents the first systematic compilation and evaluation of the research findings on financial anxiety. This review is in response to numerous research, studies and other reviews that present the under-addressed, longstanding need to rethink vocational education and training delivered to secondary students (VETdSS) in Australia and in similar jurisdictions. Further, it is unclear how secondary schools in Western Australia are navigating the provision of vocational education and training within contemporary political socio-economic conditions. Therefore, this paper intends to review the most recent research about VETdSS and especially research that is pertinent to secondary schools in Western Australia. Ultimately, our aim in this paper is to develop a conceptual framework that will help us to understand what research and theory-making has already been conducted in Australia relevant to VETdSS and what gaps and needs remain wanting. Urban heat island (UHI) effect is a growing concern in numerous cities worldwide, which increases urban temperatures. Conventional asphalt pavements are a major contributor to the issue, causing environmental and health concerns. To tackle this issue, the implementation of cool pavements such as heat-reflective asphalt pavements has been introduced. This systematic literature review (SLR) thoroughly examines prior research to assess the effectiveness of heat-reflective asphalt pavements in reducing UHI effects. This SLR was conducted in accordance with the preferred reporting items for systematic review and meta-analysis (PRISMA) guidelines to enhance data reliability and minimize bias. This review process involved establishing review protocol, formulating review questions, systematically selecting articles through identification, screening, eligibility, quality appraisal, and data abstraction and analysis from various databases such as Scopus, Web of Science (WoS), Wiley, Taylor Francis, and ScienceDirect. Three primary themes and nine sub-themes were derived from the three review questions. From the results, heat-reflective asphalt pavements effectively minimized the UHI effect. However, their efficiency varies depending on factors such as pavement types, paving location, and use of cool materials. A comprehensive analysis examined heat-reflective pavement's mechanisms, benefits, and drawbacks. The COVID-19 pandemic and global teams have significantly contributed to the rise of virtual teams and digital workspaces requiring a fundamental shift in viewing work and life as an integrated construct. While a vast majority of literature exists on work-life it is fragmented by sub-constructs like work-family conflict, family-to-work conflict, work-home interference, etc. The current paper looks at work-life integration as a harmonious amalgamation of an individual's personal and professional demands beyond just work and family commitments. The paper attempts to synthesise this literature across 116 articles and propose a comprehensive, future-relevant model of work-life integration that will guide future researchers and practitioners alike. The paper expands the existing academic knowledge by proposing an integrated model of work-life relationships including 5 key aspects of individual and self, work and career, home and family, community and connecting, and finally health and wellbeing. The recommendations from the paper can also better equip practitioners to manage work-life integration in virtual or hybrid workplaces and help HR practitioners design policy interventions for the same. This work aims to provide a systematic literature review on the interaction between universities and the agri-food industry in knowledge transfer processes. The objective is to provide an overview of the studies that analysed this phenomenon to identify (i) what has already been investigated, (ii) what are the main contributions of universities to the agri-food industry's innovation process, and (iii) what are the potential future research directions related to this topic. Our study highlighted that U-I interactions in this industry take place at four different levels, namely technological-level, capability-level, organisational-level, and relational-level. Across these different levels of interaction, it emerged that universities played a prominent role in the process of innovative transformation of the agri-food industry through knowledge transfer and technology developments within R&D collaborative programmes. Purpose: The purpose of this paper is to identify and highlight key contexts of organizational resilience discussed in publications from 2010 to 2022. Design/methodology/approach: This article is based on a systematic literature review conducted using the Web of Science and Scopus databases for the period from 2010 to 2022, with additional studies from before 2010 and from 2023 included to capture significant developments in the field. Findings: The findings of this study indicate a need for further research on building organizational resilience across various contexts, including external threats such as economic and financial crises, natural disasters, the COVID-19 pandemic, cybersecurity issues, and military conflicts. Research limitations/implications: The main limitations of our article stem from the selection criteria applied to publications in the Web of Science and Scopus databases. The core phrase chosen was 'organi?atio* resilience' AND context, within the categories of Management, Business, Economics, Business Finance, Management and Accounting, and Econometrics and Finance. Practical implications: The discussion and findings presented here will provide a foundation for developing a questionnaire on building organizational resilience from a sustainable development perspective. Social implications: The presented content has helped in capturing the most important contexts of organizational resilience discussed in publications during the period under investigation. Purpose: Companies around the world have included ecolabels as a marketing strategy to convince consumers to choose products with lower environmental impact. However, the literature lacks a consensus on the effectiveness of ecolabels in persuading consumers to choose green products. The present meta-analysis addresses this gap by first evaluating the net persuasion effect of using ecolabels and second by investigating the role of cultural orientations, operationalized at the country level, in this effect. Design/methodology/approach: This cross-cultural meta-analysis analyzed data from 26,116 consumers across 18 countries, encompassing 75 papers published between 1995 and 2023. Univariate and meta-regression analyses were utilized. Findings: The results demonstrate that the presence (vs absence) of ecolabels has a medium positive persuasion effect. Findings show cultural orientations moderate the persuasion effect of ecolabels in that the effect is stronger in countries with high power distance, individualism, masculinity (motivation towards achievement and success) and uncertainty avoidance orientation, which create contingent conditions to ecolabels' persuasion. In addition, results show other methodological factors that affect ecolabel persuasion. Contributions and implications of the findings are discussed. Originality/value: This meta-analysis is distinctive for its global scope, including diverse countries and cultures. It addresses a crucial gap in ecolabel persuasion research, providing insights that reconcile discrepancies in existing studies. Digital transformation (DT) directly influences organizational competitiveness, reshaping value creation and necessitating adaptation across industries. This study investigates how DT redefines strategic imperatives and the mechanisms of value creation within organizations, synthesizing findings from five thematic clusters: "Strategic Management in Digital Transformation of Organizations", "Emerging Trends in Digital Entrepreneurship and Sustainability", "Digital Capabilities and Business Model Innovation", "Digitalization and Transformation of SMEs", and "Value Creation through Innovation and Digital Transformation". The analysis uncovers crucial insights, including the shift towards business-to-business (B2B) value-oriented sales, the role of big data analytics in collaborative innovation, and the integration of AI-driven business models across retail, logistics, and healthcare. Strategic alignment between technological advances and organizational goals emerges as essential, especially for SMEs facing resources, regulatory compliance, and skills development challenges. Despite these insights, significant gaps remain. Future research should delve into the underexplored area of cross-industry best practices, particularly how SMEs can leverage digital tools to enhance resilience and adaptability in market volatility. Further investigation into the long-term impacts of digital entrepreneurship on sustainability is recommended, including metrics for measuring social and environmental value creation. Additionally, digital leadership roles, such as Chief Digital Officers, warrant more in-depth examinations to identify how these leaders can navigate the complexities of DT and maximize value co-creation. The present study consists of a systematic literature review, based on the PRISMA model, with the objective of analyzing the relationship between organizational support and career self-management in order to address the gaps in the existing literature. Specifically, it seeks to answer whether organizational support influences career self-management behaviors and whether the inverse also occurs. To systematize the scientific knowledge on this topic over the past 13 years (2010–2023), three databases were consulted: Web of Science, Scopus, and Core. This research resulted from the combination of the keywords "career self-management" and "organizational support: and involved the screening of 353 studies. For the systematic literature review, a total of six studies were identified that met the established eligibility criteria. The main conclusions of this study are that organizational support, in the form of perceived organizational support, human resource management practices/perception of human resource management practices, and leader–member exchanges, appears to positively influence career self-management, as well as the inverse. Such evidence can be observed through the direct and indirect relationships established between the variables. This relationship leads, for example, to workers being more satisfied with their careers while also becoming more committed to the organization. Overall, this systematic literature review provides practical implications for organizations and their workers. It is suggested that future research should explore the relationship between career self-management and organizational support, as well as other potential mediators of this relationship. Theoretical background: Counterfeiting poses a significant global challenge, negatively impacting businesses and consumers. This issue has been exacerbated by the rapid growth of online shopping, which has increased the availability and accessibility of counterfeit products. Despite the growing prevalence of counterfeit goods in the online marketplace, there remains a substantial research gap in understanding the dynamics of online counterfeit consumption. Previous studies have primarily focused on offline counterfeit markets, leaving a void in the literature regarding the unique factors that influence consumer behaviour and intentions in the digital environment. Purpose of the article: The aim of the article is to examine the factors influencing consumer behaviour and intentions in the context of purchasing counterfeits online. The conducted systematic review aims to fill the existing research gap by identifying new and overlooked themes and suggesting directions for future research in this area. Research methods: The article integrates empirical studies on online counterfeit purchases conducted between 2008 and 2024. The analysed articles were classified based on the year of publication, research methodologies, and characteristics of the study population. Main findings: The review identifies four thematic categories: person-centric, social and cultural, market-related, and risk-related themes. The insights provide valuable guidelines for researchers, highlighting areas for further investigation, and offer practical recommendations for policymakers and marketers to combat counterfeiting and protect consumer interests online. This paper aims to bring to the attention of the accounting research community the opportunities and challenges associated with using public inquiry data for accounting research. We have conducted a systematic review of prior contributions in accounting that incorporate public inquiry data, and identify trends in the types of inquiries, data, and analytic techniques used within the existing literature. Extending out of this analysis, we identify three broad lines of enquiry within accounting research that can be informed by public inquiry data, and provide guidance for future research in the form of specific research topics, questions, and exemplars that illustrate the possibilities of this empirical approach. This paper presents a systematic review of research papers on nowcasting economic activity. The study summarizes the state‐of‐the‐art nowcasting approaches and methods, describes the indicators used in this analysis, highlights the existing gaps, and proposes future research directions. Based on an analysis of 193 articles on nowcasting in economics that were published in the journals indexed in the Web of Science Core Collection database, future research directions in nowcasting are described in this paper. This research indicates that the focus of economic activity nowcasting should rely on the use of real‐time data and alternative indicators in order to enhance the predictive ability. During and subsequent to a natural disaster, there is an expectation that certain elements of society will continue to operate with a degree of normalcy. For example, it is expected that emergency medical services will continue to function and remain reliable for the community served. Expectations such as these are based on the presumed reliability of government and the assumption that those responsible for the relevant infrastructure will have made plans to ensure it remains functional and taken steps to mitigate known weaknesses. The COVID-19 pandemic provides a case in point. Specifically, data captured during the pandemic are now the subject of ongoing review and analysis, and the findings from such studies are being used to inform planning and preparedness for the next public health disaster. This particular study was conducted in response to circumstantial evidence indicating that frontline workers in the healthcare profession may share some of the same ambivalence towards transmission mitigation as seen in the general population when confronted with new and emerging communicable diseases. This is a concern, as when medical personnel are either unable or unwilling to take reasonable steps to protect themselves and their patients, it undermines the readiness of the essential service. To explore this situation in greater depth, the study examines the real-time responses from a sample of frontline personnel interviewed during the pandemic. The results indicate that there are a number of opportunities to improve workforce readiness to assure reliable continuity during the next outbreak, epidemic or pandemic. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

This systematic review underscores the significance of learning communities as fertile grounds for skill development across diverse contexts. Furthermore, it reviews and theoretically evaluates several commonly used strategies, methods, and supports for developing skills within learning communities by synthesizing the existing literature. We followed the procedure outlined by the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Review and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) to ensure a transparent, comprehensive, and standardized approach to conducting and reporting our systematic review, thereby enhancing the review's credibility and reproducibility. Through an extensive analysis of the literature, we identified eleven strategies, methods, and supports (application of collaborative projects, mentorship programs, workshops and training sessions, online learning platforms, peer learning and feedback, problem-based learning, cross-collaboration initiatives, leadership development programs, inclusive learning environments, gamification and simulations, and social media and networking) that play pivotal roles in nurturing different types of skills. We describe each identified solution, its advantages and challenges, the types of skills targeted for development, and their overall contribution to skill enhancement. The findings emphasize the importance of fostering collaborative and interactive environments within learning communities to facilitate collective skill development and personal growth. Our systematic review faced some challenges (e.g., heterogeneity of studies and lack of longitudinal data) due to the overwhelming diversity of the literature on skill development across various disciplines and contexts. Overall, by synthesizing existing knowledge and identifying gaps in the literature, this review serves as a foundation for advancing theory, informing practice, and promoting continual improvement in skill development within learning communities. Training employees in new competencies is crucial for ensuring organizational sustainability and success. Consequently, organizations allocate significant resources to training initiatives. As training constitutes a substantial investment, it becomes imperative to identify and categorize factors that enhance the transferability of training. This necessity becomes particularly pronounced in the context of online training, which is being increasingly adopted by organizations for various reasons, including cost efficiency and flexibility. While the adoption of online training is on the rise, research on factors that enhance the effectiveness of such training remains limited. This study aims to address this gap by introducing a taxonomy of factors that influence the transfer of online training. These factors are categorized into four broad themes: computer (digital) literacy and attitudes, learner characteristics, training design and planning, and the learning environment along with organizational factors. Additionally, the study maps these factors to the intended outcomes of training (knowledge, skills, and attitude) and the participants engaged in the training sessions, providing a comprehensive overview of ongoing research and identifying areas for future investigation. Drawing insights from an evaluation of existing literature, the research not only points toward potential research directions but also offers practical implications for designing more effective online training sessions. As a result of the growth of the football players' transfer market and the increased availability of data, scholars from different fields have been investigating the topic of the empirical determination of the football players' valuation, that is, transfer fees or monetary valuation proposed by media, for 30 years. We propose a systematic review of the topic to provide the research community with an overview of the determinants of football players' valuation. Peer‐reviewed papers written in English on men's football presenting fully available and interpretable econometrical results were selected. Based on the careful analysis of the 29 selected papers and their empirical models, this study has two main implications. First, it classifies all the independent variables used in the literature to explain or predict football players' valuation, and proposes a set of core explanatory variables, with associated expected signs, that constitutes the common ground on which to build further research. Second, by presenting the state of the art in the current empirical literature, it highlights the existing gaps and suggests precise future research objectives. From a more general perspective, the review provides empirical insights for researchers interested in the valuation of human resources, signaling theory, market design, or bargaining theory. Leadership has been extensively studied in organizational contexts, with numerous theories examining how leaders influence success and employee engagement. Most recently, integrating organizational purpose—the core reason for an organization's existence—into leadership has garnered substantial interest, resulting in the underdeveloped concept of Purpose-Driven Leadership. This paper presents a systematic review of Purpose-Driven Leadership in organizations. We employed the PRISMA guidelines and searched WoS and SCOPUS, identifying 58 relevant research papers for inclusion in our review. The success of Purpose-Driven Leadership, as a nexus of individual and organizational purposes, hinges on defining and implementing an organizational purpose that resonates at all levels, based on the inverted pyramid of purpose, from overarching organization to individual roles. Our review suggests several positive outcomes associated with Purpose-Driven Leadership. These include increased work engagement, where employees are more invested in their roles; enhanced organizational commitment, reflecting stronger loyalty to the organization; improved employee performance, demonstrating higher productivity and effectiveness; and overall organizational performance. Additionally, this leadership approach promotes a cohesive and motivated workforce by aligning individual goals with the broader organizational purpose, fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation. The competitive dynamics of strategic groups perform a major role in shaping the competitive background of industries. Strategic groups are sets of companies within an industry that follow related strategies or have comparable characteristics, such as product offerings, target markets, or geographic scale. Understanding these dynamics is central for firms to spot opportunities and cope with challenges effectively. This paper reviews the literature on the competitive dynamics of strategic groups. It analyses the theoretical underpinnings of competitive dynamics of strategic groups and discusses the central dimensions of the concept, underscoring the importance of competitive dynamics for strategic groups. Our aim is to sum up these perspectives while providing a clear and integrated overview through a systematic literature review. Such systematic literature review was performed using the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) method. PRISMA is a framework with evidence-based data designed to help authors carry out a systematic literature review. This systematic literature review sought to consolidate knowledge on this topic. Recent advancements in Enterprise Information Systems (EISs) have transitioned from primarily supporting operational and tactical processes to enabling strategic decision-making through integrated analytics. This systematic review critically examines global literature from 2010 to 2023, focusing on the factors influencing the adoption of analytical components in EISs and assessing their impact on strategic decision-making in organizations. Following the PRISMA 2020 guidelines, we meticulously selected and reviewed articles from the Scopus database, employing a robust taxonomy based on the technology–organization–environment (TOE) framework to categorize findings. Our methodology involved a thorough screening of 234 studies, leading to a final analysis of 45 peer-reviewed articles that met our stringent criteria. These studies collectively underscore a significant gap in organizational capabilities, notably in the business ecosystems surrounding EISs, which hampers the effective adoption and utilization of advanced analytics. The results highlight a distinct need for improved understanding and implementation strategies for integrated analytics within EISs to enhance strategic decision-making processes. This review identifies critical factors for integrating analytics into Enterprise Information Systems (EISs), emphasizing technological, organizational, and environmental dimensions. A large body of work demonstrates that a stable environment is essential for childhood development of prosociality. Research on the psychological impact of armed conflicts reveals inconsistencies regarding socio-moral indicators including moral cognition and behavior. This article aims to systematically review the available empirical research on the effects of armed conflict violence exposure during childhood and adolescence on morality. A comprehensive literature search for empirical studies published between 1990 and 2021 was conducted with four academic research databases with twenty-four papers meeting the inclusion criteria. The results and methodological aspects of these studies are discussed. Findings provide tentative support to deleterious effects of armed conflict exposure on children and adolescents' morality. To explain contradicting results, further examination of potential interactions is suggested. All current studies present important methodological limitations. Risk perception research has long been attentive to the fact that risk is a social construction. Nevertheless, this fact has not been integrated into empirical research in any systematic manner. Empirical studies that do focus on the social construction of risk often do so from very different positions and with different objectives in mind. Interpersonal discussion, while considered an important medium of social construction, is rarely given consideration. This systematic literature review aims to provide a coherent foundation for empirical studies of interpersonal discussion on risk. Specifically, it summarizes existing research into the reciprocal relationship between interpersonal discussion on risk and individual‐level risk perception. The systematic literature review adheres to the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews (PRISMA) guidelines. A total of 843 unique articles were identified, of which 60 are included in the review. A majority of the articles in the corpus found a positive association between interpersonal discussion on risk and risk perception. This association, however, lacks robustness, especially in terms of the direction of causality. Three theoretical interpretations of the relationship are found in the corpus: (1) interpersonal discussion as a conduit for risk information, (2) risk perception as shared social schemata, and (3) interpersonal discussion on risk as a facilitator of similarity between network members. Implications for future research are discussed. This literature review concludes with six guiding principles for future research into the interpersonal discussion–risk perception relationship. As the 2024 elections in Indonesia draw attention, the issue of democracy on universities is often overlooked. Despite the political nature of power dynamics within universities, debates about campus democracy can create tension and harm the academic environment; such conflicts can negatively affect community, cooperation, and mutual respect among students and faculty. This study aims to help universities make better governance decisions, focusing on transparency, accountability, and other key factors. This article emphasizes the geopolitical risk effect in higher education circumstances, which was then developed as a basis for finding solutions for the sustainability of higher education in Indonesia. This research uses the PRISMA systematic literature review method to assist researchers in reporting transparently and systematically why the review was carried out, what the author did, and what was found which was then analyzed using the SLR method which was carried out systematically by following the correct research stages or protocols, includes review studies, structured evaluations, classification and relevant categorization of previously generated evidence bases. As a result Universities behoove sterile from elements of power or, in other words, have political immunity; the functions and roles of campuses need to be revitalized and decontextualized in campus democracy from any political anomaly that causes turmoil. In addition, this research can help stakeholders at the political level to provide consideration in granting full autonomy to campuses both in academic and non-academic aspects. Sustainable packaging is a pivotal aspect of sustainable development, involving multi‐faceted issues such as stakeholder management and environmental policy compliance. Despite the efforts to find packaging solutions, the extant literature is largely fragmented, featuring a high level of heterogeneity among studies that spread across different disciplines, with the majority examining important packaging issues in isolation. A study that systematically consolidates findings of different important areas of sustainable packaging implementation is lacking. This challenges companies' adoption of research findings in business strategy development. Thus, this paper conducts a systematic literature review combining keyword co‐occurrence analysis, thematic analysis and qualitative content analysis to uncover major research domains, consolidate important findings and reveal unsolved research gaps, which are crucial to advancing sustainable packaging management. The findings reveal four major research domains: (1) sustainable packaging materials and properties, (2) management practices of sustainable packaging, (3) consumer behaviours towards sustainable packaging and (4) packaging waste management. Drawing on the natural‐resource‐based view (NRBV) theory and the review findings, this study proposes four future research directions: (1) identifying ways to enhance the commercialisation of sustainable packaging technological innovations, (2) uncovering reasons for insufficient social aspect investigation in sustainable packaging research, (3) exploring strategies to enhance stakeholder integration in sustainable packaging management and (4) examining contingency factors of packaging waste management effectiveness. The research agenda is important to provide practical and managerial insights for business strategy development in sustainable packaging to achieve pollution prevention, product stewardship and sustainable development capabilities to gain future growth and competitive advantage. Total Quality Management (TQM) research predominantly focuses on private sector industries, with limited attention to other key sectors like the third sector. This shortage is evident despite the TQM literature highlighting the importance of considering the business sector context when assessing TQM implementation. Therefore, this paper aims to report the recent developments in the relationship between TQM and Organizational Performance (OP) in the three sectors of the economy: the private, the public, and the third sectors. Through a systematic literature review methodology, 331 empirical studies published from 2000 to 2022 were analysed, drawn from Scopus, ABI Global, and EBSCO databases. The results indicate a paucity of empirical research on TQM and OP within the third sector, in contrast, TQM and OP have been extensively investigated in the private sector and to a moderate extent in the public sector. The study's novelty lies in utilising contingency theory to highlight the role of sector type as a contextual factor in TQM implementation across the three sectors: private, public, and third sector. This research contributes to the TQM literature by identifying existing research gaps in the third sector context, emphasising the urgency of empirical research that considers essential organisational variables alongside TQM and OP. Artificial Intelligence (AI) applications streamline workflows, automate tasks, and require adaptive strategies for effective integration into business processes. This research explores the transformative influence of AI on various industries, such as software engineering, automation, education, accounting, mining, legal services, and media. We investigate the relationship between technological advancements and the job market to identify relevant skills for individuals and organizations for implementing and managing AI systems and human–machine interactions necessary for actual and future jobs. We focus on the essential adaptations for individuals and organizations to flourish in this era. To bridge the gap between AI-driven demands and the existing capabilities of the workforce, we employ the Rapid Review methodology to explore the integration of AI in businesses, identify crucial skill sets, analyze challenges, and propose solutions in this dynamic age. We searched the Scopus database, screening a total of 39 articles, of which we selected 20 articles for this systematic review. The inclusion criteria focused on conference papers and journal articles from 2020 or later and written in English. The selected articles offer valuable insights into the impact of AI on education, business, healthcare, robotics, manufacturing, and automation across diverse sectors, as well as providing perspectives on the evolving landscape of expertise. The findings underscore the importance of crucial skill sets, such as technical proficiency and adaptability, to successfully adopt AI. Businesses respond strategically by implementing continuous skill adaptation and ethical technology to address challenges. The paper concludes by emphasizing the imperative of balanced skill development, proactive education, and strategic integration to navigate the profound impact of AI on the workforce effectively. The purpose of this study is to propose an integrative model for evaluating the effectiveness of performance management system (PMS). This model aims to systematize the dimensions and criteria used in the literature and provide clarity in terms of evaluation possibilities. A comprehensive review of the literature was conducted to identify the dimensions, criteria, and causal relationships used in evaluating PMS effectiveness. A sample of 57 articles was analyzed using content analysis. The study established dimensions and criteria that have been neglected in the literature. The review resulted in the proposal of an integrative model for evaluating PMS effectiveness, which incorporates individual and organizational dimensions and criteria identified in the literature. It sheds light on recurrently adopted dimensions, particularly those related to individual-level phenomena, and seeks to clarify current conceptual ambiguities. This study's originality lies in its integrative approach, which diverges from the prevailing tendencies in the field. This study provides clarity regarding the conceptual confusion surrounding ambiguous concepts and generically applied measures that hinder the drawing of certain conclusions about the effectiveness of PMS. Career and Technical Education programs are pipelines for preparing students with skills for higher education and career readiness. With the inception of the Morrill Act of 1862, CTE as we know it today, has existed for more than 160 years. The purpose of this research was to review the existing literature related to CTE and CTE PD found in academic databases, books, dissertations, papers, and government reports. A synthesis of empirical manuscripts was completed. This literary review examined 80 articles and found overarching themes related to CTE and CTE PD. The themes are CTE characteristics, CTE PD, digital world/Generation Z students, college/career readiness, traditional/alternative certification, teacher community, laboratory safety, and administration. Continuous technological development, digitalization, Industry 4.0, robotization, virtualization, and related investments in new types of physical assets are imposing increasing financial and intellectual demands on micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs). While fast technological development and rapid societal change make maintenance of a successful competitive edge ever more challenging, they also offer considerable potential for differentiation. In the area of networking and outside resources, MSMEs can utilize external resources and cooperate and collaborate with higher educational institutions (HEI) to boost their innovations pipeline and develop new technologies and processes to generate commercial products/services and improve their service offering. This research explores existing highly effective university–industry collaboration (UIC) models and seeks explanations for their success by examining the literature from the point of view of establishing successful relationships, emphasizing the importance of critical drivers for success. Our work synthesizes current knowledge of best practices based on a comparative analysis of practical collaboration. In the work, we identify eight popular and successful collaboration models: research and development partnerships, internships and co-op programs, knowledge transfer programs, entrepreneurship, and incubation programs, sponsored projects and grants, joint ventures and licensing agreements, executive education, professional and student career development. Based on analysis of globally reviewed successful models, a concept for robust, productive, and extended collaboration between companies and universities is produced suitable for the Finnish context. Due to the working conditions imposed by the COVID-19 pandemic, teleworking also known as remote work has witnessed an increase in use, prompting a resurgence of interest in the topic among researchers. This article analyzes the evolution of literature before, during, and after the pandemic, as well as the research foci through an application of the antecedents, decisions, and outcomes framework. A systematic literature review methodology was employed using the evidence from 136 articles from 2016 to 2023. This review is about 'telework literature in business, management, and accounting areas published in English'. Opportunities are identified for future studies and the findings afford managers with the advantage of understanding the crucial dimensions of telework. The bibliometric analysis revealed the significant impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the widespread acceptance of teleworking globally, accompanied by a surge in studies on this subject. The quality of listening in interpersonal contexts was hypothesized to improve a variety of work outcomes. However, research of this general hypothesis is dispersed across multiple disciplines and mostly atheoretical. We propose that perceived listening improves job performance through its effects on affect, cognition, and relationship quality. To test our theory, we conducted a registered systematic review and multiple meta-analyses, using three-level meta-analysis models, based on 664 effect sizes and 400,020 observations. Our results suggest a strong positive correlation between perceived listening and work outcomes, r ¯ =.39, 95%CI = [.36,.43], ρ ¯ =.44, with the effect on relationship quality, r ¯ = .51, being stronger than the effect on performance, r ¯ = .36. These findings partially support our theory, indicating that perceived listening may enhance job performance by improving relationship quality. However, 75% of the literature relied on self-reports raising concerns about discriminant validity. Despite this limitation, removing data solely based on self-reports still produced substantial estimates of the association between listening and work outcomes (e.g., listening and job performance, r ¯ =.21, 95%CI = [.13,.29], ρ ¯ =.23). Our meta-analyses suggest further research into (a) the relationship between listening and job knowledge, (b) measures assessing poor listening behaviors, (c) the incremental validity of listening in predicting listeners' and speakers' job performance, and (d) listening as a means to improve relationships at work. Generation Z is arriving on the labour scene. In the near future, this generation will dominate organisations' recruitment and selection processes. Theories regarding the attraction and retention of talent were initially developed based on the characteristics of previous generations in the late 20th century. This study aimed to conduct the first comprehensive literature review focused on identifying the attributes of attracting and retaining Generation Z talent. The findings will allow for the identification of the most significant attributes within the examined context. However, certain gaps were uncovered, such as the limited availability of publications explaining the applicability of the conventional theory of attracting and retaining talent to Generation Z natives. The COVID-19 pandemic caused significant disruptions to the travel and mobility of various population groups worldwide. These impacts were more pronounced for older adults, who, in various countries around the world, were instructed to quarantine for prolonged periods and avoid contact with others. The impact of these disruptions has been differently experienced between countries and geographical regions with levels of economic development and transport infrastructures playing a role. The aim of this article is firstly, to critically synthesise scientific literature about changes in travel behaviour and transport choices of older adults caused by the responses to the COVID-19 pandemic in various countries, secondly, highlight the main gaps in the literature and finally, provide avenues for future research and transport policies. Findings indicate inequalities in access to transport explained by built environment design and policies adopted by governments to control the pandemic, as well as socio-economic and developmental factors. The implications of these findings for transport provision and increased mobility for older adults in the post-pandemic world are outlined. Finally, we discuss the importance of active aging policies, which could create more transportation options to support older adults' mobility needs and access in the post-COVID-19 era in both high- and low-income countries. Sustainability labelling is an extremely complex, multifaceted, and debated topic. Through a systematic and meta‐analytical approach, we disentangled the informative contents of environmental and social labels and investigated their effect on the consumer willingness to pay for food products. The premium prices for sustainability labels are largely heterogeneous depending on the information disclosed. Generic and specific messages seem not to differ in terms of consumer acceptance. Not all facets are equally important as social issues tend to be less considered. Policy interventions should combine hard and soft measures to holistically achieve sustainability in the food system. There is a longstanding assumption that if people perceive a risk as high, they will act to reduce it. In fact, research has shown a lack of consistently strong causal relations between risk perception (RP) and mitigative behavior—the so‐called "risk perception paradox." Despite a recent increase in research on RP, individuals' risk tolerance (RT; or demand for risk reduction) only rarely appears as a consideration for explaining behavioral response to natural hazards. To address this research gap, we first systematically review relevant literature and find that RT has been directly assessed or operationalized using perceived thresholds related to costs and benefits of risk reduction measures, risk consequences, hazard characteristics, behavioral responses, or affective reactions. It is either considered a component or a result of RP. We then use survey data of individuals' RP, RT, and behavioral intention to assess relations among these variables. Comparing across three European study sites, "behavioral intention" is assessed as the public's willingness to actively support the implementation of nature‐based solutions to reduce disaster risk. A series of tests using regression models shows RT significantly explains variance in behavioral intention and significantly contributes additional explanatory power beyond RP in all three sites. In two sites, RT is also a significant partial mediator of the relation between RP and behavior. Taken together, our findings demand further conceptual and empirical research on individuals' RT and its systematic consideration as a determinant for (in)action in response to natural hazards. Construction projects often face challenges of poor performance, resulting in increased costs, delays, and defects. To address these issues, Construction 4.0 (C4.0) employs innovative technologies to enhance project efficiency, safety, and sustainability. However, construction projects lag in adopting these technologies, meeting significant obstacles, with the inadequately trained workforce being a major, underexplored difficulty leading to subpar construction project performance. This study aims to investigate the current status of existing research on C4.0 skills and construction project performance. To achieve this aim, this study conducts a systematic literature review using the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) method on 50 articles. The findings suggest that general Construction 4.0 skills are recognized, but the specific impact on construction projects during the fourth industrial revolution stays unexplored. The objective of this research is to help reconcile the mixed findings on the effect of vape advertising campaigns on consumers' vaping tendency. In a meta-analysis of 43 papers (140 studies, with 77,452 observations; 33% women, 67% men; Mage = 30.5 years), this research shows that in situations where perceived risk is less salient (e.g., social media vs. traditional advertising, ads using picture-dominant vs. text-dominant cues, adolescents vs. adults, nonsmokers vs. smokers), the positive effect of vape advertising campaigns on consumers' vaping tendency is stronger. In addition, this research provides evidence that vape advertising campaigns reduce, rather than increase, smokers' tendency to quit smoking, which is contradictory to the claims made by vaping product manufacturers. The authors discuss the theoretical contributions of those findings and provide specific tools that policy makers can use to combat the influence of vape advertising campaigns. Background: During health crises such as the COVID-19 pandemic, shortages of health care workers often occur. Recruiting students as volunteers could be an option, but it is uncertain whether the idea is well-accepted. Objective: This study aims to estimate the global rate of willingness to volunteer among medical and health students in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. Methods: A systematic search was conducted on PubMed, Embase, Scopus, and Google Scholar for studies reporting the number of health students willing to volunteer during COVID-19 from 2019 to November 17, 2023. The meta-analysis was performed using a restricted maximum-likelihood model with logit transformation. Results: A total of 21 studies involving 26,056 health students were included in the meta-analysis. The pooled estimate of the willingness-to-volunteer rate among health students across multiple countries was 66.13%, with an I2 of 98.99% and P value of heterogeneity (P -Het)<.001. Removing a study with the highest influence led to the rate being 64.34%. Our stratified analyses indicated that those with older age, being first-year students, and being female were more willing to volunteer (P <.001). From highest to lowest, the rates were 77.38%, 77.03%, 65.48%, 64.11%, 62.71%, and 55.23% in Africa, Western Europe, East and Southeast Asia, Middle East, and Eastern Europe, respectively. Because of the high heterogeneity, the evidence from this study has moderate strength. The concept of governance has become essential to the success and accountability of organizations in today’s world, where things are becoming more complex and interconnected. The effectiveness of governance systems relies heavily on the behavior exhibited by leaders within these organizations. This systematic review delves into the multifaceted relationship between ethical leadership and corporate governance, shedding light on the pivotal role played by leaders in fostering ethical behavior and decision-making within the corporate sphere. It relied on three digital databases— Scopus, Emerald Insight, and PsycArticles—from where 1,564 records were obtained. Thirty studies that fulfilled the eligibility criteria were selected for analysis. Thematic synthesis was the method adopted for analysis of data. The analysis revealed two major themes—Impact of Ethical Culture and Leadership and Associated Factors of Ethical Behavior—and subsequent subthemes that critically examine the key dimensions of ethical leadership within corporate governance, including promoting ethical values, transparency, integrity, and stakeholder engagement. Medical, nursing, and other healthcare students undergo specific stressors. Their mental health represents a priority for universities and the entire community. This review aimed to gather evidence about the effectiveness of individual psychological counselling offered by universities to healthcare students. A systematic review was conducted by searching PubMed, Scopus, and APA PsycInfo. A total of 1906 records were identified. The selection resulted in six studies published between 1994 and 2014. The most common design was quasi-experimental. Half focused on medical students and often interventions comprised other elements. Outcomes were related to mental health issues, academic performance, or both. The results showed statistically significant improvements, with some exceptions. The present review highlighted some specific characteristics that must be considered in order to fill the existing gap in this field, such as widening the range of studied outcomes, improving the description of the intervention, and planning randomized controlled trials (RCT) to compare strategies. PURPOSE: This study aims to identify the differences and similarities in the innovation systems of developing vs. developed countries that influence SMEs' adoption of Fourth Industrial Revolution (4IR) technologies. There is a notable absence of comparative research between National Innovation Systems (NIS) of developing and developed countries. Additionally, the current scholarly conversation lacks a holistic view of NIS. Our study aims to fill these gaps by employing Lundvall's framework to explore both developed and developing countries' systems comprehensively. METHODOLOGY: The data was collected through a Systematic Literature Review, identifying a total of 695 publications from SCOPUS, Web of Science (WoS), and ProQuest. The PRISMA process was adhered to, resulting in 32 papers undergoing quality evaluation using Gough's 'weight of evidence' guidelines. Twenty-nine primary papers were selected, comprising twelve from developed countries, another twelve from developing countries, and the remainder from both categories. Using Qualitative Meta-synthesis (QMS) with ATLAS.ti, a systematic alignment of codes with research inquiries pertaining to NIS ensued, revealing a multifaceted spectrum of findings across these scholarly investigations. FINDINGS: We found that there are similarities and differences between the innovation systems of developed and developing nations. The similarities include the intra-firm interactions taking place between managers and workers, inter-firm relations between the SMEs and Academia and other SMEs, as well as the role of the government in providing funding and regulation (albeit at significantly varying degrees). The most significant differences observed were in the funding mechanisms, the role of the government, and the R&D systems. It was found that governments in developed countries provided SMEs with substantial incentives, tax credits, and subsidies to adopt 4IR technologies, which appears to positively impact the adoption rate. We conclude by developing a conceptual framework for the NIS necessary for the adoption of SMEs' 4IR technologies in developing countries. IMPLICATIONS: This study contributes to the literature on innovation systems by examining the NIS of both developed and developing countries. This analysis allows us to gain deeper insights into how specific aspects of each country (developed or developing) affect (positively or negatively) SMEs' adoption of 4IR technologies. Practically, it informs governments in developing countries on which aspects to focus on in their NIS to increase the rate of the adoption of 4IR technologies by SMEs. ORIGINALITY AND VALUE: A distinctive aspect of this study lies in the creation of a comprehensive conceptual model delineating the essential components of the innovation system pivotal for the successful integration of 4IR technologies within SMEs. This study is a review of the existing literature on the topic of bike-transit combination. The aim is two-fold: (i) to identify factors that influence its successful uptake, and (ii) to discuss the potential of the bike-transit combination and its impact on urban transport systems. The review showed that the bike-transit integration is complex and can be influenced by a variety of factors. These factors are mainly related to the quality of public transport, the cycling network and the integration of these two. Improving them can have a positive impact on bike-transit uptake. Land use and built environment characteristics also play an important role, suggesting that the local context plays a significant role on its successful uptake. In general, the review reveals that bike-transit has shown potential in improving the performance of existing public transport systems, by expanding catchment areas and improving accessibility, but its impacts on car use have not been explicitly studied. The review concludes that the bike-transit combination shows a promising path to sustainable urban mobility and is a topic worth further investigation. However, it also calls for more integrated research approaches and an explicit focus on which types of travel behaviour are substituted by the bike-transit combination. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Game jams, events where participants collaboratively create games within a limited time frame, have gained popularity as engaging and educational activities. Numerous studies highlight learning as a significant motivator for participation, positioning game jams at the intersection of pedagogy, design research, and game studies. A systematic literature review (SLR) using the PRISMA 2020 method was conducted to explore the state-of-the-art in game jams and game-making co-creation practices amongst Cultural Heritage Institutions, Creative Industries, Higher Education Institutions, and Youth Citizens in the context of X project. Out of the 68 eligible sources, 10 explicitly addressed the learning goals associated with game jams and constitute the sample of this study. The present article focuses on exploring what conceptualizations of learning can be found in the sources and how that learning process was structured throughout the game jams; specifically, what participants are learning, the methodologies employed, and how the learning was measured. A comprehensive understanding of the educational potential of game jams is important for game jam organisers as well for formal, non-formal and informal Education. The results show that although some articles use game analysis or questionnaires to measure learning, these results are not analysed or presented in depth. Furthermore, it could be noticed that serious game jams, explicitly designed to teach something, usually featuring more time consuming, due to the specific nature of an added layer to game jam: a serious theme that needs to be learned by the participants but also reflected in a game for educational purposes. This underscores the potential use of (adapted) game jams to promote learning regarding social issues, culture, or science in an engaging and dynamic way. This article reflects on those processes and the different conceptualisations of learning that can be found in sources that tackle this topic with regards to Serious and Cultural Game Jams.
