Abstract

This article discusses the use of Excel spreadsheets as virtual labs to simulate experiments in the teaching laboratory. The spreadsheets replicate three common measurements: measuring viscosity, characterizing current increase and decay in an RL circuit, and characterizing the input-output relationships for a Bipolar Junction NPN transistor. The simulations are easy for students to use and can be accessed through online supplementary material.
