Mucopolysaccharidoses (MPSs) constitute a heterogeneous group of lysosomal storage disorders characterized by the lysosomal accumulation of glycosaminoglycans (GAGs). Although lysosomal dysfunction is mainly affected, several cellular organelles such as mitochondria, endoplasmic reticulum, Golgi apparatus, and their related process are also impaired, leading to the activation of pathophysiological cascades. While supplying missing enzymes is the mainstream for the treatment of MPS, including enzyme replacement therapy (ERT), hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (HSCT), or gene therapy (GT), the use of modulators available to restore affected organelles for recovering cell homeostasis may be a simultaneous approach. This review summarizes the current knowledge about the cellular consequences of the lysosomal GAGs accumulation and discusses the use of potential modulators that can reestablish normal cell function beyond ERT-, HSCT-, or GT-based alternatives. The double burden of malnutrition (DBM) at the household level has been defined as the coexistence of underweight children and overweight mothers within the same household. The objective of the scoping review was to identify and understand factors associated with DBM. We conducted the scoping review of published, peer-reviewed journal articles in two major databases used in public health research (PubMed and Web of Science). A total of 70 articles met the eligibility criteria. The following factors were identified: mother's age, height, educational level, occupation, food intake, breastfeeding, family income, family size, and urbanization type. Overall, results were heterogeneous. Two scenarios have been identified. The first scenario is those obese women with a job, having a sufficient income, a high educational level, the ability to purchase food, and live either in rural or urban areas. The second scenario is obese women without a job, having an insufficient income, a low educational level, without the ability to purchase food, and live either in rural or urban areas. The DBM at the household level is a complex public health problem. There is a need for target-specific interventions to address child undernutrition and maternal overweight/obesity simultaneously. Objective: To characterize methodologies for the integrated assessment of urban transportation sustainability and to identify research opportunities in developing countries. Materials and methods: A threestage structured literature review is presented, and a taxonomy is proposed to characterize conceptual frameworks, analytical models, and indices and indicators. An analysis of indicators based on the eleven categories proposed is also presented. Results and discussion: The increase of scientific and institutional literature studying methodologies for sustainability assessment in the last two decades is evidenced. However, the methods still lack the integral inclusion of the economic, environmental, and social dimensions, particularly in the sustainability assessments of urban transportation. Most works are focused on introducting new indices and indicators and applying methodologies in European and North American countries. Conclusions: The characterization identifies the methodologies, institutions, and countries that have implemented methodologies for the integrated assessment of urban transportation sustainability. Advanced oxidation processes (AOPs) constitute a developing area of particular interest for researchers in different fields due to their broad range of applications. However, there are few studies dedicated to the bibliometric analysis of AOPs. Hence, a systematic literature review of research publications (research articles, review articles, and book chapters) from 1980 to 2018 was carried out to visualize and evaluate research trends on AOPs around the world and, especially in Ibero-America (IA), on the field of wastewater treatment. Using the most extensive databases in literature search, Scopus and Web of Science (WoS), which encompass 95% of the publications in the world, a total of 18,751 records were retrieved by limiting the search results to words associated with AOPs in the titles, keyword, and abstracts. Raw data were manually organized and filtered, standardizing authors and institution names, publication titles, and keywords for the purpose of eliminating double-counted entries. Similarly, homonymous authors and institutions were identified for all records retrieved. The bibliometric dataset was processed using the VantagePoint software. The research trends visualized about AOPs were as follows: number of publications per triennium, publications by country, participation by continent, most important journals and authors, most referenced institutions, global network of co-authors, and keywords network visualization, highlighting the Ibero-American contribution to global research. Low-cost plant and algal biomass are increasingly demanded as a source of proteins, and also, peptides and amino acids are gaining interest for their biological and functional properties. The reduction in chemicals, time and energy, and the integral valorization of the raw materials in the framework of biorefineries are major concerns in the development of environmentally friendly processes. Subcritical water technology is an efficient green technique useful both for extraction and for hydrolysis of protein and other fractions (lipid, carbohydrates, phenolics). However, adequate selection of operational conditions is needed in order both to maximize their extraction yield and to avoid degradation into monomeric units and decomposition products. This review summarizes the major features of subcritical water–based processes for the extraction/hydrolysis of protein. In order to valorizate other valuable fractions from agro-food wastes and algal biomass, optimal conditions should be established as a compromise solution. In Bacchylides' Oda 17 the expression 'the twice seven' is used to refer to Theseus' accompanying youths on his journey to Crete. The same expression is used in Plato's Pbaedo to list Socrates' companions in prison the day of his execution. Based on this occurrence, it is proposed that the Phaedos composition takes into account the Bacchylides' ode.
