While this chapter focuses on Python, Denis ([6]) uses the opportunity to introduce z-scores, standard deviation, skewness, kurtosis, and different measures of central tendency, demonstrating both the Python code and many of the mathematical equations used to compute these values. I Applied Univariate, Bivariate, and Multivariate Statistics Using Python i by Denis ([6]) is a recent textbook aimed at providing an introduction to statistics along with tutorials on how to apply those methods with Python software. The author has previously written two similar introductory textbooks (Denis, [3], [4]) for statistics, utilizing SPSS and R respectively, along with a more detailed introduction (Denis, [5]) to the discipline that uses both R and SPSS.
