The pinwheel tiling is the paradigm for a substitution tiling with circular symmetry, in the sense that the corresponding autocorrelation is circularly symmetric. As a consequence, its diffraction measure is also circularly symmetric, so the pinwheel diffraction consists of sharp rings and, possibly, a continuous component with circular symmetry. We show that real model sets with real internal spaces are determined, up to translation and changes of density zero by their two- and three-point correlations. We also show that there exist pairs of real (even one dimensional) aperiodic model sets with internal spaces that are products of real spaces and finite cyclic groups whose two- and three-point correlations are identical but which are not related by either translation or inversion of their windows. All these examples are pure point diffractive. Placed in the context of ergodic uniformly discrete point processes, the result is that real point processes of model sets based on real internal windows are determined by their second and third moments., Comment: 19 pages

The paper studies the relationship between diffraction and dynamics for uniformly discrete ergodic point processes in real spaces. This relationship takes the form of an isometric embedding of two L^2 spaces. Diffraction (or equivalently the 2-point correlations) usually cannot determine the dynamics entirely, but we prove that knowledge of all the higher correlations (2-point, 3-point, ...) does. A square-mean form of the Bombieri-Taylor conjecture is proved. A quantitative relation between autocorrelation, diffraction, and epsilon dual characters is derived.
