Abstract

The article discusses the hazards of display flying and as seen in the Blue Angel No6 airshow. Physiological factors such as GLOC (g induced loss of consciousness), hypoxia, and vertigo are usually considered as major causes of airshow accidents. As in the case of the Blue Angels, they did not wear a g suit which was supposed to keep their blood from pooling in their legs during combat maneuvers.
