The article presents the result of the study conducted by University of Bochum in Germany and University of California Los Angeles in California which is led by Michael Sand regarding the in-flight medical emergency. The study shows that fainting is the most common in-flight medical emergency with a total of 5,307 cases out of 10,189 emergencies. It is followed by gastrointestinal problems with 926 cases and 509 cases of cardiac condition.

The article reports on the positive results of the preclinical trial for neuregulin molecule GGF2 manufactured by Acorda Therapeutics Inc. The trial reveals that GGF2 provided more benefits than the other neuregulin fragments by strengthening and protecting the heart muscle cells. The data suggests that GGF2 has the potential to reduce and reverse the dysfunction of congestive heart failure.
