Using the approach formulated in the previous papers of the author, a consistent procedure is developed for calculating non-classical asymptotic power terms in the total and the direct correlation functions of a critical fluid. Analyzing the Ornstein-Zernike equation allows us to find, for the first time, the values of transcendental exponents 1.73494 and 2.26989 which determine the asymptotic terms next to the leading one in the total correlation function. It is shown that already the simplest approximation based on only two asymptotic terms leads to the correlation functions, which are quantitatively close to the corresponding ones of the Lennard-Jones fluid (argon) in the near-critical state. The obtained results open a way for consistent theoretical interpretation of the experimental data on the critical characteristics of real substances. Both the theoretical arguments and analysis of published data on the experimentally measured critical exponents of real fluids lead to the conclusion that the known assumption of the sameness of the critical characteristics of the Ising model and the fluid in the vicinity of critical point (the universality hypothesis) should be questioned.

The abrupt loss of mechanical stability of two-dimensional graphene-type crystals at a certain transition temperature is described. At this temperature, the graphene state with practically zero-speed bending sound and developed bending fluctuations becomes energetically favorable. Such phenomenon, akin to melting, is naturally caused by the anharmonicity of crystal oscillations. In order to circumvent the known difficulties associated with taking into account the anharmonic effects, we propose an original pseudo-harmonic approximation, within which we determine the free energy of the anharmonic crystal and find a numerical characteristic for the intensity of bending vibrations at transition temperature. This characteristic is similar to the empiric Lindemann criterion for the melting phenomenon. At the same time, in contrast to the conventional Lindemann criterion, the found characteristic is explicitly expressed through the graphene bending moduli of the second, third, and fourth orders., Comment: 2 figures

It is proved that the acoustic-type dispersion of bending mode in graphene is generated by the fluctuation interaction between in-plane and out-of-plane terms in the free energy arising with account of non-linear components in the graphene strain tensor. In doing so we use an original adiabatic approximation based on the alleged (confirmed a posteriori) significant difference of sound speeds for in-plane and bending modes. The explicit expression for the bending sound speed depending only on the graphene mass density, in-plane elastic constants and temperature is deduced as well as the characteristics of the microscopic corrugations of graphene. The angular dependence of the tensor Ayy and vector Ay analyzing powers in the inelastic scattering of deuterons with a momentum of 9.0 GeV/c on hydrogen and carbon have been measured. The range of measurements corresponds to the baryonic resonance excitation with masses 2.2--2.6 GeV/c^2. The Ayy data being in good agreement with the previous results demonstrate an approximate $t$ scaling up to -1.5 (GeV/c)^2. The large values of A_y show a significant role of the spin-dependent part of the elementary amplitude of the NN->NN* reaction. An angular dependence of the tensor analyzing power of the breakup of polarized deuterons at 9 GeV/$c$ has been investigated. The measurements have been made on hydrogen and carbon targets at angles in the range from 85 to 160 mr. The data obtained are analyzed within the framework of the light-front dynamics using the deuteron wave functions for Paris and Bonn CD potentials, and the relativistic deuteron wave function by Karmanov et al. The Ayy data for deuteron inclusive breakup off hydrogen and carbon at a deuteron momentum of 9.0 GeV/c and large Pt of emitted protons are presented. The large values of Ayy independent of the target mass reflect the sensitivity of the data to the deuteron spin structure. The data obtained at fixed $x$ and plotted versus Pt clearly demonstrate the dependence of the deuteron spin structure at short internucleonic distances on two variables. The experiment on sulfuric acid aerosol determination in the Venusian cloud layer on board the Vega landers is described. An average content of sulfuric acid of approximately 1 mg/cu m was found for the samples taken from the atmosphere at heights from 63 to 48 km and analyzed with the SIGMA-3 chromatograph. Sulfur dioxide (SO2) was revealed in the gaseous sample at the height of 48 km. From the experimental results and blank run measurements, a suggestion is made that the Venusian cloud layer aerosol consists of more complicated particles than the sulfuric acid water solution does.
