Abstract
The article presents an economic policy outlook for Iran. The government of President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad is expected to source investments from Asia since Western companies are avoiding the country due to tightening of sanctions and pressure from their governments. China is expected to retain its interest in its hydrocarbons sector. Government revenue from oil exports is expected to increase as the fuel subsidy ends and as domestic fuel consumption falls due to higher prices.
